I bring this super-interview with another star within the metal that is being born! and here she gives us the opportunity to know a little more of it!

 

A little info about the La Vero:

 

The Vero was born on July 28th, 1982 in Eindhoven.

I was named Veronique Catharina Theresia Meeuwsen

But thats too long for an artist name, So I'm using my nickname "Vero" and using the French article for female "LA" to create a name for my modeling & singing

 

Now I leave this to herself! thank you very much! my friend!

Hello Darkze!

 

im doing verry well. Thanks for asking. Most of all, i am verry exite about The new path im gonna walk on.

 

My Artist name is La Vero but my family and friends till are calling me Veronique. Im 31 years jong and live in The Netherland.

 

¿Have you been my friend?

 

We met on FB and i love u, for your friendship & support.

 

 

¿The Vero tell who is? what's your story?

 

As a child i already sing in a choir and had musical lessens. I sung and played the violin.

Also trough my student years i sung in the school band.

When i was 14 i joined a blues and jazz cover band from a friend of my father. Lurned a lot by those gigs.

Later on i was exepted to the concervatorium but because of my health issues i could not start.

Had a few magor belly operations.

Same when i was scouted to sing in The internationale traveling musical " Hair".

All because i suffer from a bad Crohn's disease, and now have a permanent ilio-stoma.

But i never stopped singing.

 

Did some studio backvocals, enterd contests and did join a locale revue-theater show.

Also this could not had a follow up, because i had to undertake another few big operations, were the did not give me much chance of surviving or recovering.

Lucky i did, but after those operations i thought never to sing again.

Than 2 years ago faith kicked me in the head. I was, although i have Bin sterelized, pragnent with twins.

But during the pragnentsy i was dying because of a ilius and had to deliver my baby.

My son was just 2 weeks to young for couveuse so he died in my hands.

All this time i was singing to him.

 

So Nightwish's " turn loos the mermaids" became " Joey's song. His sister i never sow, she had already died and she had to be remover surgently.

Holding my Son i promest him, because he had give his life for me to live.... To never give up.

So, to still keep my bond with music, i started to work as a Merch girl on europian tours and festivals. 

 

There i met people who had so much trust and support in my singing and who i am, that earlyer this year, i desited to give it one more try.

 

Put a band together and start singing again.

 

¿Tell us, that do you do? as you get into this medium?

 

Im a Merch girl for bands who have Europian tours and i do the official Merch at festivals.

 

Also I premote starting bands and now are ready to go back to the stage myself again.

 

¿What genres of metal that you like? what are your hobbies?

 

Im a big fan of heavy Metal, symphonic Metal and Female fronted bands. But that does not mean, i dont love the other styles of Metal. Im a all rounder.

 

My hobbies are: traveling, selling Merch, singing, modeling, acting, see other bans play, dancing and read a good book or see a nice movie ones in a while.

 

 

¿You're a singer, model, songwriter what you like best of all those skills?

 

That you are able to tell a story, share different emotions and are able to express yourself trough different art forms. I can't shoose just one form. They are all dear to me and a part of who I am.

 

¿I know you will formed your musical group, tell us which style will be?

 

We still are buzzy to really find our own sound, as we just starting.

 

But i think that you can expect a mix between Symphonic and heavy Metal, with a tutch of Prog. A female and a male voice, dubble bass drum, heavy bass and great guitar riffs.

 

Everything a true Metal fan get goosebumbs from.

 

¿What are your musical influences?

 

Promes to not laugh, cause it's everything BUT metal hahaha

 

Classic music, Bette Midler , Shirley Bassey, Pink, Queen, Michael Jackson, Shania Twain, Beth Hart..... and all the musicals & Disney classics.

 

Lately i get inspiration from 4 bands:

 

Nightwish, sin7sins , ACYL and the band who unfortunately split up: trail of tears.

Darkzen: wow! that curious!

 

¿Who were your teachers singing?

 

As I said before I studied in a music school, had lessons in college, lurned to sing in a choir & also revue and lately followed lessons by Dianne van Giersbergen ( ex-libres / Xandria )

 

Also had the master class from Floor Jansen.

 

During the Kitee nightwish days I will get vocal coaching from the teacher behind Nightwish.

 

I'm incredible honerd those amazing people took and will take me under there wings.

 

¿We want to convey to the world inside the metal, with your new band?

 

What I want most with my music is that it will really tutch a few hearts. That they find confort and a place inside the music where they can let it out.....Cry, be angry, feel lost and overwhelmed, to finally find the strength to built them-self up again.

 

And not to forget, also just be happy and enjoy our music. My wish is that our music will heal people and give them strength to go on, as Nightwish and Trail of tears had done for me.

 

And of course also back there heads to end enjoy.

les traigo esta super entrevista, con otra estrella dentro del Metal que esta naciendo! y aquí ella nos da la oportunidad de saber un poco mas de ella!

 

La Vero nació el 28 de julio de 1982 en Eindhoven.

''Pero eso es demasiado largo para un nombre de artista, así que estoy usando mi apodo de "Vero" y utilizar el artículo en francés para la hembra "LA" para crear un nombre para mi modelaje y canto''

Hola Darkzen!

 

Estoy muy bien. Gracias por preguntar. Por encima de todo, estoy muy emocionada por el nuevo camino importante que voy a tomar.

 

Mi nombre del artista es La Vero pero mi familia y amigos hasta me están llamando Veronique. tengo 31 años y vivo en Holanda.

 

¿Como has estado  mi amiga?

 

Nos conocimos en FB y me encantas, gracias por tu amistad y apoyo.

 

¿La Vero quién es ? Cuál es tu historia ?

 

Cuando era niña yo ya cantaba en un coro y tenía lecciones musicales . Canté y toqué el violín.

También atreves de mis años de estudiante yo cantaba en la banda de la escuela.

Cuando yo tenía 14 años me uní a una banda de covers de blues y jazz de un amigo de mi padre. y muchas actuaciones.

 

Más tarde yo estaba en el conservatorio pero debido a mis problemas de salud no pude empezar .

Todo porque sufro de una enfermedad de Crohn, y ahora tengo un problema del estomago permanente .

Pero nunca dejó de cantar .

 

Algunos coros de estudio , entre a concursos y me unieron a un espectáculo de revista del teatro local.

Además, no podía tener un seguimiento, porque tenía que llevar a cabo otras operaciones , y no me dio muchas posibilidades de recuperarme.

 

Suerte que tuve , porque después de esas operaciones pensé que nunca volvería a cantar de nuevo.

Hace más de 2 años la fe me dio una lección. yo estaba embarazada de gemelos.

 

Pero durante mi embarazo me estaba muriendo debido a un íleo y tenía que dar a luz a mi bebé.

Mi hijo estaba a sólo 2 semanas de nacer pero murió en mis manos. Todo ese tiempo yo cantaba para él.

de  Nightwish " turn loos the mermaids" se convirtió en " la canción de Joey ''.

 

Sosteniendo a mi hijo yo se lo prometí , porque dio su vida para que yo viviera .... Para que nunca te rindas.

Así que, para mantener mi vínculo con la música, comencé a trabajar en el comercio de la mercancia de los festivales y tours Europeos. Allí me encontré con gente que tenía tanta confianza y apoyo en mi forma de cantar y lo que soy, qu este año, yo comenze a darme una oportunidad más .y poner una banda juntos y empezar a cantar de nuevo.

 

¿Di nos a que te dedicas? y ¿Como llegaste a este medio?

Soy vendedora de mercancia de las bandas que tienen giras en Europa y hago la mercancia oficial en los festivales.

También soy promotor de bandas que empiezan y ahora estoy lista para volver a los escenarios de nuevo.

 

¿Qué géneros de metal  te gustan? ¿Cuáles son tus aficiones?

Soy un gran fan del heavy metal, metal sinfónico y bandas con vocal femenina. Pero eso no quiere decir,  que no ame a los otros estilos de metal. Soy un poco de todo.

Mis aficiones son: viajes, venta de mercancias, canto, modelaje, actuación, bailar, ver otras bandas tocar y leer un buen libro o ver una buena película.

 

¿Eres cantante, modelo, compositora, cual te gusta mas de todas esas habilidades?

la habilidad de contar una historia, compartir diferentes emociones y que son capaces de expresarse de diferentes formas de arte mínimas. No puedo elegir un solo formulario. Todas ellas son queridas para mí y una parte de lo que soy.

 

¿Sé que formaras tu grupo musical, que estilo será?

Todavía estamos ocupados y en encontrar realmente nuestro propio sonido, como acabamos de comenzar.

Pero creo que se puede esperar una mezcla entre Sinfónica y el heavy metal, con un toque de metal Progresivo. Una mujer y una voz masculina, doble bombo, bajo pesado y grandes riffs de guitarra.

Todo lo que un verdadero fan del metal recibe.

 

 

¿Cuáles son tus influencias musicales?

Prometes no reírte, porque es todo menos el metal hahaha

Música clásica, Bette Midler, Shirley Bassey, Rosa, Queen, Michael Jackson, Shania Twain, Beth Hart ..... y todos los musicales y clásicos de Disney.

Últimamente me sale la inspiración de 4 bandas:

Nightwish, sin7sins, Acyl y la banda que por desgracia se dividió: Trail of Tears.

Quienes han sido tus maestros de canto?

Como he dicho antes de que yo estudié en una escuela de música, había clases en la universidad, para cantar en un coro y últimamente seguido lecciones por Dianne van Giersbergen (ex-libres / Xandria)

También tenía el masterclass de Floor Jansen.

Durante los días Nightwish Kitee voy a tener como entrenador vocal de la maestra detrás de Nightwish.

Estoy realmente honrrada con estas personas increíbles que tomaron y me llevará allí bajo las alas.

 

 

¿Que quieres transmitir al mundo dentro del metal, con tu nueva banda?

Lo que más quiero con mi música es que realmente toque algunos corazones. Que se encuentren con confort y un lugar dentro de la música, donde pueden dejarlo salir ..... Llorar, que no se enojen, se sienten perdidos y abrumados, para finalmente encontrar la fuerza para construirse ellos mismos de nuevo.

Y no olvidar, también ser feliz y disfrutar de nuestra música. Mi deseo es que nuestra música va a curar a la gente y darles fuerza para seguir adelante, como Nightwish y Trail of Tears lo han hecho por mí.

Y por supuesto seguir adelante y disfrutar.
