HYPERIA is a Melodic Thrash Metal band known for their wailing vocals, shredding guitars, and fast, heavy songs.

​

In 2020 they released their debut full-length album "INSANITORIUM" via Sliptrick Records.

On March 18,2022. Hyperia released their sophomore album "Silhouettes of Horror".

​

HYPERIA (originally from Calgary, AB now based in Vancouver, BC) is a Melodic Thrash Metal band known for their wailing vocals, shredding guitars, and fast, heavy music. Formed by Colin and Marlee Ryley in September 2018, they found 3 members from the local metal community and hit the ground running. Since the release of their debut EP “FISH CREEK FRENZY” in 2019, HYPERIA has been thrashing venues and taking the Western Canadian metal community by storm.

​

Later that year, the band announced the departure of their previous drummer Jordan Maguire, while at the same time revealing the commencement of their second record “SILHOUETTES OF HORROR” with session drummer Gord Alexander (Tessitura, Tides of Kharon, Immunize). The album was completed in June 2021 and is due out in March 2022.

Starting with an explosive power with the chords ahead, to the rhythm of drums and guitars, which marks the continuous style of the album with a strong thrash metal! her voice sounds beastly!

We continue with the explosive rhythm and classic sound of thrash metal, now with higher speed and tempos, chords like blades that will tear your mind apart with excellent rhythm!

​

Continuing with the same explosiveness, now with a scream of anger, fury and power from Marlee, the tempos are a little slower, with sharp and melodic riffs, there is more harmony and tighter musical structures.

I think it continues with the same line, catchy and in the musical scale as in the previous song, short and powerful riffs, alternating and strong drums, now with more speed and fury in the next Pleonexia song, the song is fast with doubles constants and variety of vocal styles

Gimme Gimme Gimme (ABBA Cover)

​

Excellent cover with this heavier and braver version! Above all, the musical part with the style of thrash metal with a lot of speed.

My Recomendation

​

A heavy, fast, melodically harmonized album, with catchy, classic thrash metal songs with many notable and also classic influences, the lyrics are great with a variety of themes within parapsychology, night terror hallucinations and inhuman government experiments as well Get ready for a melodic Metal with powerful, clean voices, shredded, sharp guitars, hard, forceful and rude riffs. HYPERIA es una banda de Thrash Metal melódico conocida por sus voces fuertes, guitarras trituradas y canciones rápidas y pesadas.

​

En 2020 lanzaron su álbum debut de larga duración "INSANITORIUM" a través de Sliptrick Records.

El 18 de marzo de 2022. Hyperia lanzó su segundo álbum "Silhouettes of Horror".

​

HYPERIA (originariamente de Calgary, AB y ahora con sede en Vancouver, BC) es una banda de Thrash Metal melódico conocida por sus voces quejumbrosas, sus guitarras trituradas y su música rápida y pesada. Formado por Colin y Marlee Ryley en septiembre de 2018, encontraron 3 miembros de la comunidad de metal local y se pusieron en marcha. Desde el lanzamiento de su EP debut "FISH CREEK FRENZY" en 2019, HYPERIA ha estado arrasando en los lugares y arrasando en la comunidad metalera del oeste de Canadá.

Continuando con la misma explosividad, ahora con un grito de ira, furia y poder de Marlee, los tempos se hacen un poco más lentos, con riffs agudos y melódicos, hay más armonía y estructuras musicales más ajustadas.

Iniciando la canción con movimientos de guitarras ajustadas, acordes afilados y riffs demoledores, los tempos y ritmos se hacen un poco más lentos, las voces brutales!

Un ataque directo con cuerdas afiladas, riffs crujientes, una canción melodica con la combinación de tempos distintos por momentos, la batería con ese ritmo y marcando el paso.

Comenzando con todo ese ritmo característico del thrash metal con ese bombo de batería, aplastante, rápido y duro, los acordes y los ritmos veloces, fuertes y contrastantes se hacen presente, muestra una variedad de estilos vocales y se extiende con guitarras solistas muy armónicas.

Siguiendo la misma línea que la canción anterior, con una misma estructura y potencia en las guitarras y batería.

La canción que lleva el nombre del albúm, comenzando con un estilo, ritmo y armonía desafiante y esto coronado con un poderoso grito de Marlee! Escuchamos una canción más aguerrida, pesada y melódica.

Operation Midnight

Creo que se continua con la misma línea, pegadiza y en la escala musical como en la canción anterior, riffs potentes y breves, alternados y batería fuerte, ahora con mayor velocidad y furia en la siguiente canción de Pleonexia, la canción es rápida con dobles constantes y variedad de estilos vocales.

Gimme Gimme Gimme (ABBA Cover)

​

Excelente cover con esta versión más pesada y aguerrida! Sobre todo, la parte musical con el estilo del thrash metal con mucha velocidad.

Mi Recomendación

​

Un albúm pesado, rápido, melódicamente armonizado, con canciones pegadizas, clásicas del Thrash metal con muchas influencias notables y también clásicas, la letra es genial con variedad de temas dentro de la parapsicología, las alucinaciones de terror nocturno y los experimentos gubernamentales inhumanos, así que prepárate para un Metal melódico con voces poderosas, limpias, guitarras trituradas, afiladas, riffs duros, contundentes y rudos. Para los nuevos fanáticos del Thrash metal y un poco del estilo NWOBHM les gustara!
