Anarcheon, from Vancouver, Canada, released a new three-track EP this year, and the first single “Transyldrainia” is now out complete with a video. The hard-hitting song is a happy medium for the first release off the EP being the favourite of everyone in the band because “it just goes off”, they continue to detail the track:

“In this EP we flip the sequence and start with “Transyldrainia” We wrote this last but it really almost tells about the psychology of trying to make someone see the sheer pleasures of being immortal. The big question: Have you ever wondered, Have you ever dreamed, Of a life not bound by hours, Not life or death But somewhere in between? As humans, we are very fragile. This song suggests life can end at any moment so why not just come to the dark side where you will be free of the disease of death. It tells of how the person could be torn, but in the end, begs to be free with the coercion of this magical beast.”

Delivering a creepy but groovy vibe, the upcoming EP takes you through a vampiric journey into the dark side of Anarcheon. The new recording takes you through a transition of a woman to a blood-thirsty beast. She longs for her blood-thirsty lady lover only to realize once she is turned she is someone she never imagined she could be. The EP has been in the works for a while and it's lyrically very different from what they have released in the past but keeps that groovy instrumental element they have honed. These new songs are all horror-based and blood lustful, but with a twist of metaphorical magic.

Strong start from the beginning, rough and a little fast chords, bass and guitar lines giving the rhythm and forcefulness, we have a bit of tempo changes that we can hear throughout the music track, the video is very striking! The modern vampire version!

Vlad to the Bone

It is part of the continuation of the first song, here we have more power in those guitars and drums, very notable rhythm changes, with changes of scales an almost acoustic and slow part along with the handling of the voice is very good, heartbreaking screams combining clean and soft voice.

Scary Tale

They leave us with an acoustic beginning, in the clean voice of Kaija with very short gutturals, a slightly cleaner and slower sound, and almost halfway through the track we hear more power and speed, with greater content of dominant gutturals with a high register. .

My Recomentation

The EP that the band leaves us is a sample of their technique that combines the lyrics and composition of these three songs, the guitar line is one with changes of times, rhythms and speed, we have a bit of slow riffs, a strong drums and the detailed sound of a Melodic Death Metal where the voices come into play in combination with the scales on the guitars, it's a good EP! Having strength and brutality, darkness and fragility as described in the first song of the album. Melodic death metal fans like The Agonist or Carcass will like it!

The Voice

Kaija's voice is very good! her voice is melodic and rhythmic, handling gutturals with a register a little more towards the musical scale of the acute, and balancing with a clean and soft voice, that helps a lot for her voice to predominate and be more noticeable throughout the album.

Anarcheon, de Vancouver, Canadá, lanzo este año un nuevo EP de tres pistas, "Scary Tale", y el primer sencillo "Transyldrainia" ya está completo con un video. La canción es contundente para el primer lanzamiento del EP siendo el favorito de todos en la banda porque “simplemente se dispara”, continúan detallando la pista:

“En este EP cambiamos la secuencia y comenzamos con “Transyldrainia”. Escribimos esto último, pero en realidad casi habla de la psicología de tratar de hacer que alguien vea los placeres puros de ser inmortal. La gran pregunta: ¿Alguna vez te has preguntado, alguna vez has soñado, con una vida que no esté limitada por horas, ni vida o muerte, sino algo intermedio? Como seres humanos, somos muy frágiles. Esta canción sugiere que la vida puede terminar en cualquier momento, así que, ¿por qué no venir al lado oscuro donde estarás libre de la enfermedad de la muerte? Cuenta cómo la persona podría ser desgarrada, pero al final, suplica ser libre con la coacción de esta bestia mágica”.

Con un ambiente espeluznante pero maravilloso, el próximo EP te lleva a través de un viaje vampírico hacia el lado oscuro de Anarcheon. La nueva grabación te lleva a través de la transición de una mujer a una bestia sedienta de sangre. Ella anhela a su amante sedienta de sangre solo para darse cuenta una vez que se convierte en alguien que nunca imaginó que podría ser. El EP ha estado en proceso por un tiempo y es líricamente muy diferente de lo que han lanzado en el pasado, pero mantiene ese elemento instrumental maravilloso que han perfeccionado. Estas nuevas canciones están todas basadas en el terror y las ansias de sangre, pero con un toque de magia metafórica.

Inicio fuerte desde el comienzo, acordes ásperos y un poco rápidos, líneas de bajo y guitarra dando el ritmo y contundencia, tenemos un poco de cambios de tempo que podemos escuchar en toda la pista musical, el video es muy llamativo! ¡La versión vampiresca moderna!

Vlad to the Bone

Es parte de la continuación de la primera canción, aquí tenemos mayor potencia en esas guitarras y batería, cambios de ritmo muy notables, con cambios de escalas una parte casi acústica y lenta junto con el manejo de la voz es muy buena, gritos desgarradores combinando voz limpia y suave.

Scary Tale

Nos dejan con un inicio acústico, en la voz limpia de Kaija con guturales muy breves, sonido un poco más limpio y lento, y casi a la mitad de la pista escuchamos mayor potencia y velocidad, con mayor contenido de guturales dominantes con un registro agudo.

Mi Recomendación

El EP que nos deja la banda es una muestra de su técnica que combina la letra y composición de estas tres canciones, la línea en guitarras es una sola con cambios de tiempos, ritmos y velocidad, tenemos un poco de riffs lentos, una batería fuerte y el sonido detallado de un Melodic Death Metal donde las voces entran mucho en juego en combinación de las escalas en las guitarras, es un buen EP! Teniendo fuerza y brutalidad, oscuridad y fragilidad como lo describen en la primera canción del albúm. Para fans de death metal melódico como The Agonist o Carcass les gustara!

La Voz

La voz de Kaija es muy buena! Es Melódica y rítmica, manejando guturales con un registro un poco más hacia la escala musical del agudo, y equilibrando con voz limpia y suave, eso ayuda mucho a que su voz predomine y sea más notable en todo el albúm.
