How are you?

Hey! I’m fine thanks and a bit exited over all our nice gigs and releases this summer!

​

Tell us about you! Who are you?

​

Erika

​

About me, I’m a very happy and loving girl who lives in a small town in the heart of Sweden. I just turned 30 years young and live with my cat “Frig”.

​

I have been singing since I was two years old. As the old joke I’m always telling: the things I’m best at is singing and talking. Yes a talk a lot!

​

How did you start on the path of music?

​

​

My path of music started with my early singing.  But I started my first band at age 11, I actually played bas guitar in that band!  Later on After trying  both guitar and drums I realized the only true “instrument” for me is my voice.

​

Your voice is excellent! with a modern and fresh style! Do you have any vocal training?

​

Erika

​

My vocal training comes for all the choirs I’ve been a part of, I think. And also high school I went to a music-oriented school, but the vocal training at that school was mostly for musical artists. I’m just very interested in singing and all of the noice your voice can do, so I’m trying out new stuff all the time and learn new stuff that way, could you count that as training?

​

Darkzen: yes, it's part of the training!

​

Any female or male vocal in particular?

​

Erika

​

I think Brittney Hayes, from unleash the archers, have a cool voice, powerful but with a warm touch to it. I like singing along with their songs, punching myself to new limits.

​

What are your hobbies?

​

Erika

​

My hobbie, except from music and singing are hair, hair coloring especially, cook and bake, makeup, nice expensive beers, hanging out with friends and of course petting my cat!

​

Why the band In Silence? How was the formation of the band

​

Erika

​

In Silence was actually formed out of an old band, who needed new band members. But we decided to split the old band, drop some old members and start a whole new band instead.

​

Tell us about your new EP "One For All"

​

Erika

​

The new ep, one for all, got it’s title from the (for me) most important track, that obviously is named “one for all”. I can tell you a bit about that song.

​

How about the review of your new EP? in your country

​

Erika

​

The song is an anti bullying song! We wanted to make a statement with this song because We are agains bullying, we would like the world to be filled with more love and understanding. So in cooperation with the organization “metalheads agains bullying” we will also have a music video release for this song.

​

Did you write the lyrics of the songs?

​

Erika

​

I’m writhing the lyrics to all songs, the Inspiration to it comes from within, from my heart, from my soul, from a feeling needed to be released.

​

What does mean for you the songs, like Final Solution?

​

Erika

​

I don’t feel like telling what a song means to me, because I want everyone to have their own opinion. If I would tell, people might just change their thinking and the meaning of the song might just disappear for them. So it’s up to everyone to get a feeling from the song ;)

​

Tell us some new future developments with your band

​

Erika

​

We will have a new release on a single 24/5, that’s the closest news! Then in a near future we will release the “one for all” music video. Later on this summer we will have another single coming. :)

​

Any new tour in your Country?

​

Erika

​

We will play at Sweden Rock Festival 6/6, witch is huge to us! Then we well play at Helltown festival 13/7, two gigs at our local rock bar  in september and October and that’s about it for now, but we are working on more gigs, all the time!

​

​

As my last words I would like to say, be proud of who you are, keep your head up high, spread love and be the person you would like others to be.

¿Cómo estás?

​

¡Oye! ¡Estoy bien gracias y un poco emocionada por todos nuestros buenos conciertos y lanzamientos este verano!

​

¡Cuéntanos acerca de ti! ¿Quién eres tú?

​

Erika

​

Sobre mí, soy una chica muy feliz y amorosa que vive en un pequeño pueblo en el corazón de Suecia. Acabo de cumplir 30 años y vivo con mi gato "Frig".

​

Llevo cantando desde los dos años. Como la vieja broma que siempre estoy contando: lo mejor para mí es cantar y hablar. Sí, una charla y mucho!

​

¿Cómo empezaste en el camino de la música?

​

Erika

​

Mi camino de la música comenzó con mi canto temprano. Pero empecé mi primera banda a los 11 años, ¡realmente toqué la guitarra básica en esa banda! Más tarde, después de probar tanto la guitarra como la batería, me di cuenta de que el único "instrumento" verdadero para mí es mi voz.

​

Tu voz es excelente! Con un estilo moderno y fresco! ¿Tienes algún entrenamiento vocal?

​

Erika

​

Mi entrenamiento vocal viene para todos los coros de los que he sido parte, creo. Y también en la escuela secundaria fui a una escuela orientada a la música, pero el entrenamiento vocal en esa escuela era principalmente para artistas musicales. Solo estoy muy interesada en cantar y todo el ruido que tu voz puede hacer, así que estoy probando cosas nuevas todo el tiempo y aprendo cosas nuevas de esa manera, ¿podrías considerar eso como entrenamiento?

Darkzen: si, forma parte del entrenamiento!

​

¿Algún vocal femenino o masculino en particular?

​

​

Creo que Brittney Hayes, de unleash the archers, tiene una voz fría, poderosa pero con un toque cálido. Me gusta cantar junto con sus canciones, metiéndome en nuevos límites.

​

¿Cuáles son tus aficiones?

​

Erika

​

Mi hobbie, excepto por la música y el canto, es el cabello, especialmente para teñir el cabello, cocinar y hornear, maquillaje, buenas cervezas caras, salir con amigos y, por supuesto, ¡acariciar a mi gato!

​

¿Por qué la banda In Silence? ¿Cómo fue la formación de la banda?

​

​

In Silence fue en realidad formada por una banda antigua, que necesitaba nuevos miembros de la banda. Pero decidimos dividir la antigua banda, dejar algunos viejos miembros y comenzar una nueva banda en su lugar.

​

Cuéntanos sobre tu nuevo EP "One For All"

​

Erika

​

El nuevo ep, uno para todos, obtuvo su título de la pista más importante (para mí), que obviamente se llama "uno para todos". Te puedo contar un poco sobre esa canción.

​

¿Qué tal la reseña de tu nuevo EP? en tu país

​

Erika

​

La canción es una canción anti bullying! Queríamos hacer una declaración con esta canción porque somos una vez más intimidación, nos gustaría que el mundo se llene con más amor y comprensión. Así que en colaboración con la organización "metalheads agains bullying" también tendremos un lanzamiento de video musical para esta canción.

 

¿Escribiste la letra de las canciones?

Estoy retorciendo la letra de todas las canciones, la inspiración viene de dentro, de mi corazón, de mi alma, de un sentimiento que necesita ser liberado.

​

¿Qué significa para ti las canciones, como Final Solution?

​

Erika

​

No tengo ganas de decir lo que significa una canción para mí, porque quiero que todos tengan su propia opinión. Si lo dijera, la gente podría cambiar su forma de pensar y el significado de la canción podría desaparecer para ellos. Así que depende de todos tener una idea de la canción ;)

​

Cuéntanos algunos nuevos desarrollos futuros con tu banda.

​

​

Tendremos un nuevo lanzamiento en un solo 24/5, ¡esa es la noticia más cercana! Luego, en un futuro cercano, lanzaremos el vídeo musical "uno para todos". Más adelante este verano tendremos otro single por venir. :)

​

¿Alguna nueva gira en tu país?

​

Erika

​

Tocaremos en Sweden Rock Festival 6/6, ¡la bruja es enorme para nosotros! Luego tocamos en el festival Helltown 13/7, dos conciertos en nuestro bar de rock local en septiembre y octubre y eso es todo por ahora, ¡pero estamos trabajando en más conciertos, todo el tiempo!

Como mis últimas palabras, me gustaría decirte: sé orgulloso de quién eres, mantén la cabeza en alto, extiende el amor y sé la persona que te gustaría que fueran los demás.
