We started this 2015! With an interview with our friend Aline Happ of Lyria group from Brazil! With sympathy and good sense of humor! Of Symphonic Metal style, she'll comment on your tastes and more!

Thank you very much! for this oportunity How are you?  

 

A:Hi, I am fine. Thanks for the invitation!

 

Tell us your story, how you came to this musical genre?

 

A: I’ve always liked music. I used to watch all Disney princesses singing and a movie that I’ve watched that I’ve really loved was “Willie the Operatic Whale”. So the whale has inspired me too, hahaha, nor only the princesses. When I was 13 I started singing classes.

 

About the genre, when I was a kid, my parents used to listen to Rolling Stones, so I’ve liked the song “Start me up”. They’ve discovered a lot of bands and we’ve discovered others together. 

When I was 11, I started to listen to Linkin Park and at 13, to Evanescence. After some time, my mother has seen the Nightwish’s album Bless the Child in a megastore. She’s liked the cover so we’ve started to listen to it and since that, my parents and I have started to listen to many metal bands. I like celtic music too (my mother’s influence), hard rock and pop.

 

What are your musical influences?

 

A:  Evanescence, Nightwish with Tarja, Sarah Brightman, Celtic music, Metallica, After Forever, Epica, Xandria and many more.

What is your vocal training?

A:  I don’t drink neither smoke and I do some vocal exercises. I like to sleep and I try to sleep 9 hours per day.

 

What are your hoobies, what do you like to do?

 

A: I like walking, cooking, shopping, staying with my family and friends and watching  fashion TV programs.

Does the name Lyria have a meaning?

 

A: Not exactly. This name was inspired by the Greek mythology classes I’ve atended at the University. The lyre has been an important musical instrument for the Greeks. It also reminds me of the flower lily, which I really appreciate and it is also related to the word lyrics.

Tell us about your album Catharsis, how was the produccion?

A: It has taken us one day to record the video. I think this song is heavy and catchy, and particularly, I like this song a lot. So I’ve thought it would be a good choice and the guys’ve agreed. The script was an idea from Zig and me.

 

Did you write some songs?

 

A;Yes, all of them! Haha. I have had help from my husband in some lyrics and one of them was an Eliezer’s idea.

Tell us about the production of the video with the song Jester, why did you choose this song?

A: It has taken us one day to record the video. I think this song is heavy and catchy, and particularly, I like this song a lot. So I’ve thought it would be a good choice and the guys’ve agreed. The script was an idea from Zig and me.

 

How you consider your album, new, classic, or different? Based on the lyrics and sound.

 

A: New, classic and different. =D. New and different because we’ve mixed a lot of different elements and sounds and I  like to  put some optimism in the lyrics so I think this is different .Classic because it reminds sometimes some classic Symphonic metal bands, hahaha!

What surprises we can expect from Lyria for the new year?

A: I hope a lot of shows and more Music Videos.

Will be there any other musical video? 

A:Yes! But we don’t know what song will be the next one yet.

Empezamos este 2015! Con una entrevista de nuestra amiga Aline Happ del grupo Lyria de Brasil! Con una simpatía y buen sentido del humor! Del estilo de Metal Sinfónico, ella misma te comentara sus gustos y más!

Muchas gracias por esta oportunidad! como has estado?

 

A: Hola! Muy bien, Muchas gracias por tu invitación!

 

Cuéntanos tu historia, Como llegaste a este género musical?

 

A: R: Siempre me ha gustado la música. Yo solía ver todas Las Princesas de Disney cantando y una película que he visto que realmente me ha encantado era "Willie the Operatic Whale". Así que la ballena me ha inspirado también, jajaja, ni sólo las princesas. Cuando tenía 13 años empecé en clases de canto.

 

Sobre el género, cuando yo era una niña, mis padres solían escuchar a los Rolling Stones, así que me gusto la canción "Start me up". Ellos descubrieron un montón de bandas y después las hemos descubierto otras, juntos.

 

Cuando tenía 11 años, empecé a escuchar a Linkin Park y a los 13, a Evanescence. Después de algún tiempo, mi madre vio el álbum de Nightwish ‘’Bless the Child’’ en una megatienda. Le gusto la portada, así que hemos empezamos a escucharlo y desde eso, mis padres y yo hemos empezado a escuchar muchas otras bandas de metal. Me gusta la música celta también (la influencia de mi madre), el hard rock y el pop.

 

Cuáles son tus influencias Musicales?

 

A: Evanescence, Nightwish with Tarja, Sarah Brightman, Celtic music, Metallica, After Forever, Epica, Xandria y muchos más.

 

Cuál es tu entrenamiento vocal?

 

A: No bebo, no fumo y hago algunos ejercicios de vocalización, ¡me gusta dormir! y trato de dormir mis 9 horas por día.

 

Cuáles son tus hoobies, que te gusta hacer en tus ratos libres?

 

A: Me gusta caminar, cocinar, ir de compras, estar con mi familia y amigos y ver programas de moda.

 

Darkzen: muy bien

 

Que significa el nombre de Lyria?

 

A: No exactamente, el nombre está inspirado en la mitología Griega, en las clases que tuve en la universidad, la Lira ha sido un importante instrumento musical para los griegos, también me recuerda a la flor de lirio que realmente aprecio y que también relaciono con la lírica de las canciones.

 

Cuéntanos sobre tu álbum Catharsis, como fue la producción?

 

A; Fue realmente loco! Jajajajajajaja lo grabamos en una semana, Pero el esfuerzo valió la pena. Gracias a nuestro productor también!

 

Escribiste algunas canciones?

 

A; Si, todas ellas! Jajajajaja. Tuve la ayuda de mi esposo, en algunas canciones y una de ellas fue Eliezer.

 

Cuéntanos sobre la producción del video con la canción ‘’Jester’’ porque escogiste esta canción?

 

A; Nos tomó un día para grabar el video. Creo que esta canción es pesada y pegadiza, sobre todo, me gusta mucho esta canción. Así que pensé que sería una buena opción y los chicos están de acuerdo. El guion fue una idea de Zig y yo.

 

Como consideras tu álbum, Nuevo, Clásico o diferente? Basado en la letra y en el sonido

 

A: Nuevo, Clásico y Diferente =D. Nuevo y Diferente porque mezclamos varios elementos y sonidos y como le pusimos algo de optimismo en la letra, yo creo que es diferente. Clásico porque nos recuerda a veces a algunas bandas de Metal Sinfónico jajajajajjajajaja!

Que sorpresas nos esperamos de Lyria para este año?

 

A: Yo espero que muchos shows y más música y vídeos

 

Habrá algún otro vídeo musical?

 

A: Si! Pero no sabemos que canción será aun.
