Interesting preamble with a rather dramatic and very atmospheric intro!
02 - The Greatest of Catastrophes
An excellent entrance, very atmospheric as the overture of the album, with a heart-rending voice and beautiful vocals! Nico Häggblom and Alva Sandström, a fast and strong song!
03 - The Dirge
The voice of Alva Sandström gives more solides to the song, besides a loud and fast sound! Guitars and drums quite strong and hard, a song with quite heavy and aggressive rhythm! And an excellent mix between both voices.
04 - Lest We Forget
Curious beginning in the background voices, but with a speed and power very well shown, the changes in rhythm, speed and heaviness gives a lot of presence to the song, the voice of Alva Sandstrom gives a part of light and passivity next to the Combination of the masculine voice of Nico that owns the forcefulness in the songs.
05 - Medic
A very heartbreaking beginning that you hear in the distance shootings and cries of despair, an atmospheric song and ready for the next chapter ...
06 - Blow Them to Hell
An entrance similar to the previous one but with a super powerful entrance and like artillery goes towards the ear with a powerful beastly voice! Contundence and power shown in this song! With an excellent blast beat!
07 - Altafjord
A totally atmospheric song, closing the preamble of Blow Them to Hell, which we close with this very funereal and somber symphony!
08 - Scharnhorst
And so we entered another super heavy song and a very powerful adrenaline rush! With the powerful voice of Nico, which gives enough force to the previous songs, with some pauses between the song telling us a passage while the guitars accompany this narration next to the voice of Alva Sandstrom in the final part. Which is a very extensive song.
09 - Reclaming Ravenpoint
For me it is the continuation of the Scharnhorst, only that it is faster at the beginning and continues with the same forcefulness and power as the previous songs, the creepy and powerful voice of Nico! Subsequently the duet between both voices gives you more strength!
10 - You Do not Know What the Night May Bring
Another atmospheric song accompanied by a funeral piano and background screams which is very eye-catching! With deep and mysterious sadness ...
11 - Minor Secundus
Powerful entrance with the voice more and more harrowing and petrifying that reaches the bones along with those blunt guitars and drums! Later the beautiful voice of Alva gives complicity and harmony!
12 - Tragédie
Another heavy song, blunt with more power and speed, combining both parts in times and pauses well managed with the voices of both singers.
13 - I Fear for Tomorrow
Heavy and powerful! With even more heartbreaking and overwhelming voices! I like the energy of this song very promising, especially for the name of the song which perfectly reflects that fear!
14 - Somme
We close with the song that bears the name of the album! The best until the end, a beginning and end of excellent Gaita, later what was waiting, we can totally hear the beautiful voice of Alva, a fast and strong song, a perfect guitar solo for the song !, the end is heard perfect In company of his voice of it!
My Recomendation
The album is continuous and conceptual by the theme that it handles and the lyric of the songs, with histories of the First World War, the Second World War and the similarities between these two world wars, besides the events that we see today in many parts of the world. The sound is more extreme and heavy than the previous of Nighon compositions, giving rise to even more contrasts than before and that gives it a good profile and a different album, The album is continuous as I mention, you can not hear it in parts all the Songs are united, some with an atmospheric pause and others us, in the musical aspect they are heard great! Strength and Strife. A sample of this leaves us in the single "The Greatest of Catastrophes" which is a mixture of the outbreak of World War I and the crisis of Ukraine. A pretty good Industrial-Goth style and full of blends! This video was filmed in the winter of 2016 by Kasper Dalkarl, David Viklund and Stephanie Blomqvist.
The Good +
A heavy album! And a combination of Music and Voice well mixed and harmonious!
The Bad-
Maybe a few pauses and times in changes of rhythm in some songs and good a little more time in the beautiful voice of Alva!
Originality and Creativity
A simple cover with a military symbol very well-known in the military ranks, but with a good enough musical load! The theme and content of the album very well reflects the concept and it sounds pretty strong! Something like a musical machine gun!
Voices
The voice of Alva is quite strong and above all reaches sharp tones very marked, in some moments it surpasses the song itself or perhaps it is the production of the album, and in combination of the guttural and powerful voice of Nico it fits quite well giving the touch heartbreaking And turn salvation into the song! In the last song we can hear it with all splendor and sensitivity.

Interesante preámbulo con una entrada bastante dramática y muy atmosférica!
02 – The Greatest of Catastrophes
Una excelente entrada, muy atmosférica tal como la obertura del álbum, con una voz desgarradora y la bella voz la vocal! Nico Häggblom y Alva Sandström, una canción rápida y fuerte!
03 – The Dirge
La voz de Alva Sandström le da más solides a la canción, además de un sonido fuerte y rápido! Guitarras y batería bastante fuerte y duras, una canción con bastante ritmo pesado y agresivo! Y una excelente mezcla entre ambas voces.
04 – Lest We Forget
Curioso inicio en las voces de fondo, pero con una velocidad y potencia muy bien mostrada, los cambios en ritmo, velocidad y pesadez le da mucha presencia a la canción, la voz de Alva Sandstrom le da una parte de luz y pasividad junto a la combinación de la voz masculina de Nico que posee la contundencia en las canciones.
05 – Medic
Un inicio muy desgarrador el cual se escuchan a lo lejos tiroteos y gritos de desesperación, una canción atmosférica y lista para el siguiente capítulo…
06 – Blow Them to Hell
Una entrada similar a la anterior pero con una súper entrada potente y como artillería se dirige hacia el oído con una potente voz bestial! Contundencia y poder mostrada en esta canción! Con un excelente blast beat!
07 – Altafjord
Un canción totalmente atmosférica, cerrando el preámbulo de Blow Them to Hell, el cual cerramos con esta sinfonía muy fúnebre y sombría!
08 – Scharnhorst
Y así entramos a otra súper canción pesada y con una descarga de adrenalina muy potente! Con la poderosa voz de Nico, el cual le da bastante fuerza a las anteriores canciones, con algunas pausas entre la canción contándonos un pasaje mientras las guitarras acompañan esta narración junto a la voz de Alva Sandstrom en la parte final. El cual es una canción muy extensa.
09 – Reclaming Ravenpoint
Para mi es la continuación de la Scharnhorst, solo que es más rápida al inicio y continua con la misma contundencia y potencia que las anteriores canciones, la voz espeluznante y poderosa de Nico! Posteriormente el dueto entre ambas voces le da más fuerza!
10 – You Do Not Know What the Night May Bring
Otra canción atmosférica acompañada de un piano fúnebre y gritos de fondo el cual es muy llamativo! Con una tristeza profunda y misteriosa…
11 – Minor Secundus
Entrada poderosa y con la voz cada vez más desgarradora y petrificante que te llega a los huesos junto con esas contundentes guitarras y batería! Posteriormente la bella voz de Alva le da complicidad y armonía!
12 – Tragédie
Otra canción pesada, contundente con mayor potencia y velocidad, combinando ambas partes en tiempos y pausas bien manejadas con las voces de ambos cantantes.
13 – I Fear for Tomorrow
Pesada y poderosa! Con voces aún más desgarradoras y apabullantes! Me agrada la energía de esta canción muy prometedora, sobre todo por el nombre de la canción el cual se plasma perfectamente ese miedo!
14 – Somme
Cerramos con la canción que lleva el nombre del álbum! Lo mejor hasta el final, un inicio y final de Gaita excelente, posteriormente lo que estaba esperando, totalmente podemos escuchar la bella voz de Alva, una canción rápida y fuerte, un solo de guitarra perfecto para la canción!, el final se escucha perfecto en compañía de su voz de ella!
Mi Recomendación
El álbum es continuo y conceptual por la temática que maneja y la lírica de las canciones, con historias de la Primera Guerra Mundial, la Segunda Guerra Mundial y las similitudes entre estas dos guerras mundiales, además de los acontecimientos que vemos hoy en muchas partes del mundo. El sonido es más extremo y pesado más que las anteriores composiciones de Nighon, dando lugar a contrastes aún más que antes y eso le da buen perfil y un álbum distinto, El álbum es continuo como lo mencione, no lo puedes escuchar por partes todas las canciones van unidas, unas con una pausa atmosférica y otras nos, en el aspecto musical se escuchan grandiosos! Fuerza y Contundencia. Una muestra de esto nos dejan en el single "The Greatest of Catastrophes" el cual es una mezcla del estallido de la Primera Guerra Mundial y la crisis de Ucrania. Un estilo Industrial-Goth bastante bueno y lleno de mezclas! Este video fue filmado en el invierno del 2016 por Kasper Dalkarl, David Viklund y Stephanie Blomqvist.
Lo Bueno+
Un álbum pesado! Y una combinación de Música y Voz bien mezclada y armoniosa!
Lo Malo-
Quizás unas pausas y tiempos en cambios de ritmo en algunas canciones y bueno un poco de más tiempo en la bella voz de Alva!
Originalidad y Creatividad
Una portada sencilla con un símbolo militar muy conocido en los rangos militares, pero con una carga musical bastante buena! La temática y contenido del álbum plasma muy bien el concepto y se escucha bastante fuerte! Algo así como una ametralladora musical!
Voces
La voz de Alva es bastante fuerte y sobre todo alcanza tonos agudos muy marcados, en algunos momentos supera la canción misma o quizás sea la producción del álbum, y en combinación de la voz gutural y potente de Nico se acopla bastante bien dándole el toque desgarrador y a su vez de salvación en la canción! En la última canción podemos escucharla con todo esplendor y sensibilidad.
