Glasya describes themselves as a “Soundtrack Metal band” being inspired by the colourful soundtrack LPs of the 60’s and 70’s, where small audio passages from the movie were included on the album to take the listener to that singular moment where the music appeared and, with so, make him remember the story after seeing it in the movie theatre. In other words, their main purpose is to tell stories and give the fans the perfect soundtrack to be involved in!

 

Today, Glasya takes a step forward in this storytelling mission and introduces us to Attarghan’s history – a former army commander, turned to a rebel, who drives the uprising of the people colonized by an unhistorical pre-Persian Empire and became the main opposing force against it.

 

‘Attarghan’ consists of 15 distinctive tracks that flow along as the story evolves: each one expresses the feeling of a specific moment and arouses the imagination to that certain time and space.

 

An epic tale deserves an epic soundtrack, and the Portuguese band is more than capable to provide it.

The album opens with an opening narration, of dramatic symphonies and background choirs with the same intensity of the instrumental part.

From Enemy to Hero

​

An opening with powerful chords ahead and very forceful drums, rhythm and fast beats, incorporating the melodic and symphonic voices of Eduarda Soeiro and Marco Pastorino.

Way to Victory

​

Atmospheric and epic musical entry with elegant keyboard arrangements and orchestrations with short background choirs, a melodic, rhythmic track and with fine symphonic arrangements.

Retaliation

​

A variation on the musical style with a heavier song, hard chords and drums and in front of the song similar to the song at the beginning of From Enemy to Hero, with good riffs and orchestral parts mixed in.

​

Excellent musical entrance with a great guest! Our friend Caterina Nix from CHAOS MAGIC with a great rhinestone giving the song a more catchy style and with a charming melodic appeal in those accompanying solos.

​

Another excellent musical part with a beautiful combination of clean, symphonic and melodic voices with a Middle Eastern direction and style, guitar and bass chords plus drums with good rhythm which makes it combine the melodic and symphonic parts well.

Queen’s Temptation

​

Another interesting song with a totally middle eastern folklore start, instrumental and narrative.

Battle for Trust

​

A strong overture, dramatic operatic parts, strong chords and drums, very rhythmic and metaphorical, another song with a greater melodic content.

The Sound of 10000 Feet Marching

​

Another narrative song, with a dramatic, epic and operatic cut, the chords and drums return to action opening the beat for Eduarda's beautiful voice.

Within the Sandstorm

​

We continue in the story within an epic battle and Middle Eastern folklore with somewhat long and slow scales, but then a brutal assault on fast and melodic chords, with a dense atmosphere, a bit similar to Dutch symphonic metal, combining voices clean and throaty.

We Weren’t Meant to Be

​

We arrived at the semi ballad! Beautiful musical opening with Eduarda's symphonic voice with a beautiful background symphony that accompanies us throughout the track.

At the Empire’s Gate

​

Another narrative song with an epic, middle eastern, orchestral atmosphere.

​

Eye to Eye, Sword to Sword

​

A musically styled narrative overture with a set of Middle Eastern folk melodies, with symphonic arrangements, chords, keyboards and strong drums!

A New Era Has Come

​

A continuation of the previous song a bit in style and rhythm, with a lot of melody, hard chords and drums with a strong beat, epic choirs and melodic arrangements with a scale that explodes at the moment.

The Legend Lives On

​

After changes in meter, fast, slow, strong, hard, dense rhythms, closing softly, lightly with a light symphonic and epic narrative.

My Recomendation

​

Glasya's new album that offers us 15 songs for fans within Symphonic Metal based on a story is an album formed as one, it is solid with elegant orchestrations, fine guitar arrangements, hard, soft, melodic and harmonious chords. , the folklore from which the album is based is phenomenal, with a high content of Symphonic Metal with a bit of Power metal, the musical influences can be identified in some songs with an influence of Italian and Dutch Symphonic Metal but with the stamp and style from Glasya! That's what this new production gives us! With a lot of history of the Persian empire, great melody and symphonic parts, the album is extensive and that makes it also interesting, this is a Metal Soundtrack with a story behind the music!

The Voice

​

The album features so many great guests! In the voices like Caterina Nix from CHAOS MAGIC with a beautiful scale, clean register, soft and tender! It gives a variation to the song in a beautiful way, Marco Pastorino from Temperance with that epic and power metal cut, Corvus from Desire among others! Eduarda's beautiful voice is great, with a high, sonorous, clean, soprano register with a majestic low register, we can say that with a great comparison with Tarja Turunen and Simone Simons.

Glasya se describe a sí misma como una “banda de Soundtrack Metal” inspirándose en los coloridos LP de las bandas sonoras de los años 60 y 70, donde se incluían pequeños pasajes de audio de la película en el álbum para llevar al oyente a ese momento singular donde apareció la música y, con entonces, haz que recuerde la historia después de verla en el cine. En otras palabras, su objetivo principal es contar historias y brindarles a los fanáticos la banda sonora perfecta para participar.

 

Hoy, Glasya da un paso adelante en esta misión narrativa y nos presenta la historia de Attarghan, un excomandante del ejército, convertido en rebelde, que impulsa el levantamiento de las personas colonizadas por un Imperio pre-persa histórico y se convirtió en la principal fuerza de oposición contra eso.

 

'Attarghan' consta de 15 pistas distintivas que fluyen a lo largo de la evolución de la historia: cada una expresa el sentimiento de un momento específico y despierta la imaginación de ese tiempo y espacio determinados.

 

Una historia épica merece una banda sonora épica, y la banda portuguesa está más que capacitada para proporcionarla.

Una apertura con potentes acordes por delante y batería muy contundente, ritmo y veloces compases he incorporando las voces melódicas y sinfónicas de Eduarda Soeiro y Marco Pastorino.

Otra excelente parte musical con hermosa combinación de voces limpias, sinfónicas y melódicas con una dirección y estilo del Medio Oriente, los acordes de guitarras y del bajo más la batería con buen compas lo que le hace combinar bien las partes melódicas y sinfónicas.

​

Otra canción interesante con un inicio totalmente del folklore del medio oriente, instrumental y narrativa.

​

Una obertura fuerte, partes operísticas dramáticas, acordes y batería contundentes, muy rítmicas y metafóricas, otra canción con un mayor de contenido melódico.

​

Otra canción narrativa, con un corte dramático, épico y operístico, los acordes y batería vuelven a la acción abriendo el compás para la bella voz de Eduarda.

Within the Sandstorm

​

Seguimos en la historia dentro de una batalla épica y del folklore del medio oriente con escalas algo largas y lentas, pero después un asalto brutal en los acordes rápidos y melódicos, con un ambiente denso, un poco la similitud del metal sinfónico holandés, combinando voces limpias y guturales.

Llegamos a la semi balada! Hermosa apertura musical con la voz sinfónica de Eduarda con bella sinfonía de fondo que nos acompaña en toda la pista.

Una continuación de la canción anterior un poco en el estilo y ritmo, con mucha melodía, acordes y batería duras con un compás fuerte, coros épicos y arreglos melódicos con una escala que explota de momento.

Después de cambios en compás, ritmos veloces, lentos, fuertes, duros, densos, cerrando de forma suave, ligera con una narrativa sinfónica y épica ligera.

Mi Recomendación

​

El nuevo álbum de Glasya que nos ofrece 15 canciones para los fanáticos dentro del Metal Sinfónico con base a una historia es un albúm formado como uno solo, es sólido con elegantes orquestaciones, finos arreglos en las guitarras, acordes duros, suaves, melódicos y armoniosos, el folklore del que se basa el albúm es fenomenal, con un alto contenido de Metal Sinfónico con un poco de Power metal, las influencias musicales se pueden identificar en algunas canciones con una influencia del Metal Sinfónico Italiano y Holandés pero con el sello y estilo de Glasya!  Eso es lo que esta nueva producción nos brinda! Con mucha historia del imperio Persa, melodía y partes sinfónicas geniales, esta extenso el albúm y eso lo hace también interesante, esto es un Soundtrack Metal con una historia detrás de la música!

La Voz

​

¡El albúm cuenta con muchos invitados geniales! En las voces como Caterina Nix de CHAOS MAGIC con una escala hermosa, registro limpio, suave y tierno! Le da una variación a la canción de bella forma, Marco Pastorino de Temperance con ese corte épico y de power metal, Corvus de Desire entre otros más! La bella voz de Eduarda es genial, con un registro alto, sonoro, limpio, soprano con un grave majestuoso, podemos decir que con una genial comparación con Tarja Turunen y Simone Simons.
