Thank you very much for this interview, here I leave a talk with our friend Melissa! about the band! Melissa Martin band is an Female fronted American Metal founded by John LeCompt and Melissa Martin. Drummer Jack Larson and Lead Guitarist Heath Hindman.

¿How are you my friend?

 

I'm doing fine thank you

 

¿How is Melissa Martin offstage? Tell us who is M.M to day!

 

Offstage I enjoy singing and listening to music, riding horses, fishing, and being outdoors.

 

Tell us a little about your! In your musical career and your voice is soft and very nice!! I liked! How was your vocal training?

 

Thank you for your complements! I began singing when I was very young. My grandma and mom were also singers.

 

¿Do you have other projects in mind with your band?

 

John LeCompt and I have more new music on the way. We are currently preparing for a show in Destin Florida on August 5th.

 

¿What kind of music has more influence on you? Strong, Classic, Alternative ...

 

I'm influenced by many different genres including heavy melodic metal, NuMetal and Alternative Rock.

 

¿Why the Rock music? How do you feel with this music?

 

I feel pulled to rock and metal more than any other genre, it feels most natural.

 

Melissa Martin band is an American modern rock band, ¿Would you give us a little background on your band?

 

About three years ago I began looking for talented band members who shared my interest in music. I met Producer John LeCompt and we began recording music together. Jack Larson is on drums, Heath Hindman is our lead guitarist and Thad Ables is our bassist. John LeCompt is also on guitar and writes, produces, records, engineers, and masters all of our music.

 

¿Why Modern Rock? Which is the difference with the Old Rock?

 

The fans started calling it many different genres when we released our first single. Most say its modern rock, but some say it's pop and some say it's metal. It's whatever you feel like it is. I feel it's considered to be modern because I would consider classic or old rock to be from the past.

 

¿How was the inspiration of the new song "Still Small Voice"? i liked! It is faster and melodic! your voice is great!

 

I'm so glad you like Still Small Voice! It was inspired by so many different things, but mostly by the children of the world who aren't in the best of situations.

 

¿As will be the production of the next new álbum? will have the same style of this song "Still Small Voice"?

 

The music on our next álbum will be a surprise!

 

In this questions, which is track of best captures the essence of the MM band? For someone who has not heard Melissa Martin before and for your fans

 

Each new song we release I believe is our best representation of who we are as a band. Still Small Voice is our most current. Next we will be releasing a song called Bed of Nails, and I am very pleased with how it has turned out as usual! I can't wait to share it with you all!

 

¿Would you like to sing or make an álbum in a heavier style? ¿like Heavy Metal?

 

Yes I am interested in making music that is heavier and also music that is less heavy.

 

¿Some duet especially you want to do?

 

I would love to sing a duet. I don't currently have any projects going on with anyone else right now.

 

¿When we have you in Europe or in Latín América?

 

I would love to go to Europe or Latin America! I'm currently making US tour plans, but I haven't planned for traveling abroad quite yet. Maybe in the future.

 

¿There will be a new video?

 

We're thinking about making a music video. There may also be some facebook live footage taken of our show in August.

 

 

¿Any surprises to this year?

 

No new surprises to announce besides our August show and upcoming song release.

 

¿Anything else you'd like to share my friend with your fans?

Muchas gracias por esta entrevista! aquí les dejo una plática con nuestra amiga Melissa! acerca de su banda! La banda Melissa Martin es una banda de metal estadounidense fundada por John LeCompt y Melissa Martin. El batería Jack Larson y el guitarrista Heath Hindman.

Hola Melissa, muchas gracias por esta oportunidad, tienes una gran voz.!

​

Como has estado? Y Como es Melissa fuera de los escenarios? Cuéntanos quien es Melissa actualmente.

​

Estoy muy bien gracias! Y Fuera de los escenarios disfruto mucho de cantar y escuchar música.

Me gusta montar a caballo, pescar y estar al aire libre.

​

Platícanos un poco de ti y tu carrera musical. Me agrada tu voz, es bastante suave y linda.

Como fue tu entrenamiento vocal?

​

Gracias por tus cumplidos! Comencé a cantar desde muy joven.

Mi abuela y mi madre también fueron cantantes.

​

Tienes algún otro proyecto con tu banda?

​

John LeCompt y yo tenemos más música en camino. Actualmente estamos preparándonos para dar un show en Destin, Florida el próximo 5 de Agosto.

​

Que tipo de música es la que más te ha influenciado? Clásica, alternativa?

​

Soy influenciada por muchos géneros, incluyendo el heavy metal melódico, Nu metal y Rock Alternativo.

Porque elegiste el Rock? Como te sientes con esa música?

​

Me siento atraída hacia el rock y el metal, más que con ningún otro género. Se siente más natural.

​

Melissa Martin Band es una agrupación americana de Rock Moderno.

Podrías contarnos un poco de la historia de tu banda?

​

Hace como 3 años empecé a buscar gente talentosa para la banda  y sobre todo que compartieran el mismo interés que yo en la música. Conocí al productor John LeCompt y empezamos a grabar música juntos.

Los miembros son: Jack Larson en la batería, Heath Hindman en la guitarra principal y Thad Able en el bajo.

John LeCompt también se encarga de la guitarra, escribe, produce, graba y masteriza nuestra música.

Porque Rock Moderno? Qué diferencia hay entre el Rock clásico?

​

Los fans fueron los que empezaron a catalogarnos de cierta forma, cuando lanzamos nuestro primer sencillo.

Algunos dicen que es Rock Moderno, otros que es Pop y algunos más afirman que es Metal.

Así que nuestra música es lo que tú sientes que es.

​

En mi opinión, se le considera Rock Moderno porque es actual y el Rock Clásico ya es del pasado.

Cual fue la inspiración para su nueva canción ‘Still small voice’? Me gusto mucho, es rápida y melódica. Tu voz se escucha genial.

​

Me alegra que te haya gustado! Fue inspirada a partir de muchas cosas pero principalmente por los niños alrededor del mundo, que no se encuentran en la mejor situación.

​

Como será la producción de su siguiente álbum?

​

Tendrá el mismo estilo que su canción ‘Still small voice’?

​

La música de nuestro siguiente álbum será una sorpresa!

​

Que canción de su álbum crees que capture la esencia del grupo? Para aquellos que no te han escuchado antes y para tus fans.

​

Cada nueva canción que lanzamos nos representa como banda.

Still Small Voice es nuestro mas reciente sencillo y el siguiente será una canción llamada ‘Bed of Nails’.

Estoy muy complacida con como las cosas están resultando y no puedo esperar a compartirlo con todos ustedes.

​

Te gustaría cantar o hacer algún álbum en un estilo más pesado? Por ejemplo Heavy Metal.

​

Si estoy interesada en hacer música más pesada pero también en música más tranquila.

​

Te gustaría hacer algún dueto?

​

Me encantaría hacer un dueto! Pero por el momento no tengo planeado hacerlo.

​

Cuando harán Tour por Europa o Latinoamérica?

​

Me encantaría hacer un Tour por Europa y Latinoamérica!

Actualmente solo tenemos planeado el Tour por Estados Unidos pero aun no tengo planeado viajar por los alrededores.

Quizá en el futuro.

Habrá algún otro video?

​

Estamos pensando en hacer algún otro. Por el momento solo tendremos tomas en vivo para Facebook de nuestro show en Agosto.

​

Alguna otra sorpresa para este año?

​

No tenemos más sorpresas que anunciar.

Solo nuestra presentación en Agosto y el próximo lanzamiento de nuestra canción.
