Eluria was born in 2019 in CDMX as a musical project based on Books, stories and characters by Stephen King created by singer Jhoana Storm, seeking a specific vision in terms of darker sounds within alternative metal, joining in 2021 Brandon Mora on guitar, Oscar Olmos on bass and Raziel Moctezuma on drums.

From 2019 to 2022, 3 singles “Desierto” (2019) based on Roland Deschain from the saga “the dark tower” were presented. “The Chaos of the Earth” based on the book “Sleeping Beauties” by Stephen and Owen King and “His World on Fire” inspired by the book “Carrie”. Each one has its own official video.

As the next single, Jhoana Storm together chose the theme inspired by the book "The Sinister Half" by Stephen King. This song, as well as the previous ones, has been working with Dark House Studio with Erik Monsonís recording, mixing and mastering. The production was directed by Anna Fiori.

For this theme we have the participation of Ghostroke (Null Affection) as a guest singer, who also collaborated with lyrics, art and lyric video.

With this song we delve into the concept of duality and explore those dark desires that are within every human being, which we are often unaware of.

The story introduces us to Thad Beaumont, a writer who in childhood was the victim of a "brain tumor" that was actually his own twin absorbed during pregnancy. After the surgery, his life seemed normal. He becomes a writer and achieves great commercial success under the pseudonym George Stark, writing gory novels. His problem begins when he reveals his identity to the world in a photo shoot where he hints at killing and burying his pseudonym. That part that he had buried comes to life and while one writes the other dies.

A musical entrance with keyboards that open at the beginning, then a heavy sound with dense and melodic chords with excellent times between each one, short but riveting riffs, it has a great dark and bleak but mysterious atmosphere.

Su Mundo en llamas

A melodic, rhythmic entry with chords and strong drums, forceful with high scales, a song with catchy choruses that give it that clearest and most striking part.

La Mitad Oscura

Excellent musical entry, heavy and dense, the chords are great! Slow and strong tempos, the combination of clean and guttural voices gives it that dark and catchy atmosphere, the guitars have all the leadership in the song.

El Caos de la Tierra

The entrance is totally different with a solo with strong, dense and hard chords in a single line without changes afterwards, Jhoana's beautiful voice making a clear, soft and melodic presence.

My Recomendation

Eluria's album is a great work that shows us a very solid musical structure, production, dense, strong and melodic chords, with a dark and desolate atmosphere, as explained in the introduction when creating the lyrics and composition, it has a excellent chord with those low and hard scales, the influence of Alternative Metal becomes evident and that helps him to contrast in moments where his vocal scale is present, in a partial way we listen to an album with a combination of striking modern styles with certain pop choruses that they give it that excellent more contrasting and catchy touch. Now the song that was missing is already on the production list 'La Mitad Oscura'! With heaviness and melody, strong tempos keeping the melodic part well done, if you like Modern Metal Eluria band will give it to you!

The Voice

Jhoana's voice gives each song the clear, clean part, her vocal register is towards a beautiful high pitch that becomes evident in the track of chaos on earth, it contrasts too much and gives presence to her voice, and in combination with the guttural voice gives her more prominence, like in the dark half song, the musical part is denser with strong low scales and her voice comes out perfectly against the musical darkness!

Eluria nace en 2019 en CDMX como un proyecto musical basado en Libros, relatos y personajes de Stephen King creado por la cantante Jhoana Storm, buscando una visión específica en cuanto sonidos más oscuros dentro del metal alternativo, sumándose en 2021 Brandon Mora en la guitarra, Oscar Olmos en el bajo y Raziel Moctezuma en la batería.

De 2019 a 2022 se presentaron 3 sencillos “Desierto” (2019) basado en Roland Deschain de la saga “la torre oscura”. “El caos de la tierra” basado en el libro “Bellas durmientes” de Stephen y Owen King y “Su mundo en llamas” inspirado en el libro “Carrie”. Cada uno cuenta con su propio video oficial.

Como siguiente sencillo Jhoana Storm junto eligió el tema inspirado en el libro “La mitad siniestra “de Stephen King. Esta canción, así como las anteriores, ha ido trabajando con Dark House Studio con Erik Monsonís realizando grabación mezcla y master. La producción fue dirigida por Anna Fiori.

Para este tema contamos con la participación de Ghostroke (Null Affection ) como cantante invitado, quien además colaboró con letra, arte y lyric video.

Con esta canción nos adentramos dentro del concepto de dualidad y explora aquellos deseos oscuros que están dentro de cada ser humano, los cuales desconocemos en muchas ocasiones.

La historia nos presenta a Thad Beaumont, un escritor que en su infancia fue víctima de un “tumor cerebral” que en realidad era su propio gemelo absorbido durante el embarazo.

Después de la cirugía, su vida parecía normal. Se convierte en escritor y alcanza un gran éxito comercial bajo el seudónimo de George Stark, escribiendo novelas sangrientas. Su problema inicia al revelar al mundo su identidad en una sesión de fotos donde hace alusión a matar y enterrar su seudónimo. Aquella parte que había enterrado toma vida y mientras uno escribe el otro muere.

Una entrada musical con teclados que abren al inicio, después un sonido pesado con acordes densos y melódicos con excelentes tiempos entre cada uno, riffs breves, pero acribilladores, tiene un genial ambiente oscuro y desolador, pero misterioso.

Su Mundo en Llamas

Una entrada melódica, rítmica con acordes y batería fuerte, contundente con escalas altas, una canción con estribillos pegadizos que le dan esa parte más clara y llamativa.

La Mitad Oscura

Excelente Entrada musical, pesada y densa, los acordes están geniales! Tempos lentos y fuertes, la combinación de voces limpias y guturales le da esa atmosfera oscura y pegadiza, las guitarras tienen todo el liderato en la canción.

El Caos de la Tierra

Totalmente diferente la entrada con un solo con acordes fuertes, densos y duros en una sola línea sin cambios después, la bella voz de Jhoana haciendo presencia de forma clara, suave y melódica.

Mi Recomendación

El albúm de Eluria es un gran trabajo que nos muestra con una estructura musical muy sólida, producción, acordes densos, fuertes y melódicos, con una atmosfera oscura y desoladora, tal como lo explica en la introducción al crear la letra y composición, tiene un acorde excelente con esas escalas bajas y duras, la influencia del Metal Alternativo se hace evidente y eso le ayuda a contrastar en momentos donde su escala vocal hace presencia, de manera parcial escuchamos un albúm con una combinación de estilos llamativos modernos con ciertos estribillos pop que le dan ese excelente toque más contrastante y pegadizo. Ahora la canción que hacía falta ya está en la lista de producción ‘La Mitad Oscura’! Con pesadez y melodía, tempos fuertes manteniendo la parte melódica bien hecha, ¡Si te gusta el Metal Moderno Eluria band te lo dará!

La Voz

La voz de Jhoana le da a cada canción la parte clara, limpia, su registro vocal es hacia un bello agudo que se hace evidente en la pista de caos en la tierra, contrasta demasiado y le da presencia a su voz, y en combinación de la voz gutural le da más protagonismo, como en la canción de la mitad oscura, la parte musical es más densa con escalas bajas fuertes y la voz de ella sale perfectamente ante la oscuridad musical!
