Metal singer-songwriter IBUKI released a new album this November 17th.

Storm of Emotion is IBUKI's second solo album, coming three years on from ExMyself. It contain seven songs, including the title track of her recent single MUGENZOU and a cover of enka singer Fuyumi Sakamoto's 2009 song Mata kimi ni koishiteru.

Storm of Emotion sees IBUKI continue her long-running collaborations with CROSS VEIN's MASUMI and her ex-Around the Nation bandmate Shinji. Both guitarists play on three tracks each.

Meanwhile, the cover of Mata kimi ni koishiteru features guitar work by her NATSUMETAL bandmate, Shinichi Kobayashi.

A slightly atmospheric and soft musical beginning, which suddenly disappears to give way to the explosiveness marked by those strong chords accompanied by the drums with equal power, harmony, melody and ending as at the beginning of the song.

And to close this new album by the talented Ibuki strong we have a ballad song with a heavy Rock style with its melodic, rhythmic and harmonic part, accompanied by soft and clean riffs, Ibuki's beautiful voice can be heard in total splendor here!

My Recomendation

​

This second solo album by our talented IBUKI is interesting with a Japanese power metal with Rock and Heavy Rock that has in several parts of the songs together with the touch of J-pop make "Storm of Emotion" containing seven songs, which six of those songs are fast, melodic, rhythmic, with brief riffs others a little heavier with that catchy hook, and in addition to the ballad with "Mata Kimi ni Koi Shiteru" or 'I'm in love with you again' where we hear with all her beautiful voice. One of the songs of that heavy Rock is found in Achromatic Sun with those excellent and dense chords, In summary, IBUKI's second album is an excellent mix of power metal, Rock and J-pop with good results and power, with a thunderous drums. , powerful and forceful accompanied by a shower of strong and powerful guitar riffs and with the center mainly in her beautiful voice, handling good scale and rhythm, although when she raises her falsetto her voice sharpens, this new album will enchant you! For lovers of Japanese power metal!

The Voice

IBUKI's beautiful voice has an excellent voice with a great vocal range of around four octaves if I'm not mistaken, handling the scale and beat changes well with each track where we hear it from a low part, to the high parts like on Mugenzou song, and ending with the last song with the ballad of “Mata Kimi ni Koi Shiteru” with a clean and smooth register, so we have a great mix of J-pop, rock and metal.

La cantautora de metal IBUKI lanzó un nuevo álbum este 17 de noviembre.

Storm of Emotion es el segundo álbum en solitario de IBUKI, tres años después de ExMyself. Contiene siete canciones, incluida la canción principal de su reciente sencillo MUGENZOU y una versión de la canción de 2009 de la cantante enka Fuyumi Sakamoto, Mata kimi ni koishiteru.

Una excelente entrada con velocidad, armonía, melodía y energía, acordes melódicos y tempos muy rápidos, la súper voz de Ibuki armonizando los cambios de ritmo a toda velocidad de forma genial!

​

Un arranque musical denso y grave, que explota con una prontitud genial, con una mayor velocidad y ritmo, cambios leves en tempo, pero volviendo con mucha energía y potencia, riffs breves y otros largos con potencia y agudos, la voz de Ibuki con cambios notables.

​

Tenemos un inicio de igual potencia y escala musical, ahora hay un cambio sustancial en la velocidad y ritmos, pero con escala mayor y grave, al igual con la voz!

Achromatic Sun

​

Excelente pista musical, aquí tiene un estilo y sonido con un poco de Rock pesado, sin olvidar la parte de Power Metal muy notable y muy bien trabajada, acordes fuertes y con mayor estructura, la voz se acopla perfectamente a los cambios de ritmo y potencia.

Eternal Rain

​

Un explosivo inicio con una batería muy potente! Partes breves de teclados, y unos acordes con esa misma velocidad y potencia como al inicio nos estaban ellos mostrando, la bella voz de Ibuki con ese registro magnifico y suavidad.

Ancient Engagement

​

Un inicio musical un poco atmosférico y suave, que de pronto desaparece para dar paso a la explosividad marcada por esos acordes fuertes acompañados de la batería con igual potencia, armonía, melodía y terminando como al inicio de la canción.

また君に恋してる

​

Y para cerrar fuerte este nuevo albúm de la talentosa Ibuki tenemos una canción balada con un estilo pesado de Rock con su parte melódica, rítmica y armónica, acompañada con riff suaves y limpios, la bella voz de Ibuki la podemos escuchar con total esplendor aquí! 

 

Mi Recomendación

Este segundo albúm en solitario de nuestra talentosa IBUKI es interesante con un power metal japonés con el Rock y Rock pesado que tiene en varias partes de las canciones junto con el toque del J-pop hacen que  "Storm of Emotion" que contiene siete canciones, el cual seis de esas canciones son rápidas, melódicas, rítmicas, con riffs breves otros un poco más pesados con ese gancho pegadizo, y además de la balada con “Mata Kimi ni Koi Shiteru” o ‘Estoy enamorada de ti otra vez’ donde escuchamos con totalidad su bella voz. Una de las canciones de ese Rock pesado la encontramos en Achromatic Sun con esos acordes excelentes y densos, En resumen el segundo albúm de IBUKI es una excelente mezcla de power metal, Rock y J-pop con buen resultado y potencia, con una batería atronadora, potente y contundente  acompañada de una lluvia de riffs de guitarra fuertes y potentes y con el centro principalmente en la bella voz de ella, manejando buena escala y ritmo, aunque cuando eleva su falsete se agudiza su voz, este nuevo albúm te encantara! Para los amantes del power metal japonés!

La Voz

​

La bella voz de IBUKI, tiene una voz excelente con un genial registro vocal de alrededor de las cuatro octavas si no me equivoco, manejando bien los cambios de escala y tiempos con cada pista donde la escuchamos desde una parte grave, hasta las partes agudas como en Mugenzou song, y finalizando con la última canción con la balada de “Mata Kimi ni Koi Shiteru” con la un registro limpio y suave, así tenemos una mezcla genial de J-pop, rock y metal.
