Greetings friends! I leave this super and emotional interview our friend Angela, of the Secret Rule band! thank you very much!

 

 Hello! Angela! Thank you very much! For this interview! with you! Very nice voice!

 

¿How are you my friend?

 

Angela: Hi Jose, I’m fine thanks and I’m happy to speak with you!

 

Tell us about who is Angela to day!  

 

Angela: Today Angela is a woman who knows what she wants from her passion, the singing. She knows that without it, she can't live, and the thing most beautiful is having the possibility to share her passion with people.

 

In your musical career and your voice, (is very nice!! I liked!) In the new álbum is wonderful! How was your vocal training?

 

Angela: I studied opera singing for three years but, even if I loved to sing that genre it wasn't what I had in my mind. So I started to study modern singing with Francesca Tenuta, a wonderful person who gave me all instruments for doing anything (or almost) with my voice without loosing my personality. Today I still study with her because to meet her is a continuosly exchange for improving and getting rich.

 

¿Which is your vocal range?

 

Angela: I think that is not important how many notes it's possible to do, but in how many ways you can do the same note ;)

 

¿Do you have other projects? Or only is with your band

 

Angela: I'm monogamous and very faithful so I'm just with Secret Rule :) Joking aside, I write lyrics and melodies so I couldn't have time for other projects, anyway I prefer to do one thing but at the best!

¿What kind of music has more influence on you? Metal, Rock, etc!

 

Angela: Until to my twenties I listened to italian pop music. A day a guy invited me to go to a metal concert, I accepted, I was very curious. They were the Stratovarius! I was really impressed and I put aside pop music and I lost myself in metal music. I began to listen to Lacuna Coil that I saw them many times, Nightwish, Within Temptation, Anathema, the Gathering and so on! But I listened to rock music such as Anouk, Alanise Morisette, Cranberries, Skunk Anansie (I had a cover band when I was very young) but also Bjork, Sigur Ros (they are a very special band, I saw them in a aditorium, they were fantastic). I love the good music, sometimes I love to listen some blues as well.

 

¿Would you give us a little of the background on your band in this moment with you new álbum ‘Machination’?

 

Angela: In this moment we're very excited about the release of the new album "Machination" and we're working very hard on the show that we'll bring around the Europe to promote it.

 

¿As was the production of the ‘Machination’? is an álbum very well done!

 

Angela: We have our own recording studio so we have all the time to create the songs and change them time by time until we're satisfied. But in this album we introduced in the line-up two great musicians such as Henrik Klingenberg (Sonata Arctica) on keys and Sander Zoer (ex Delain) on drums. They recorded their tracks in their own studio and gave to the album a very big adding value. The mixing and mastering was made by Tue Madsen in his Antfarm Studio in Danmark, we did the first album with him as well, he’s the right man for our sound. Then, you can find other special guests as Stefan Helleblad (Within Temptation), Timo Somers (Delain), Fabio D’Amore (Serenity) and Janneke De Rooy (Paper Doll Decay). So you can’t loose this album! J

 

¿How was the inspiration of the new álbum? It is faster, strong and melodic! your voice is very great!

 

Angela: thanks :) Usually Andy gives me instrumental songs. I listen to them and I imagine something, images and feelings and I already know of what the song will speak about. Then I improvise a melody and at the last I write a lyric. We are very fast in this process. The album was written and recorded during the summer.

 

 

¿Which is track of best captures the essence of the ‘Machination’? and for you?

 

Angela: Personally I think the track that catches more the essence of the album is "Ex-Machina" because is a track inspired to the namesake movie that brought me to think a lot to our condition in this society made of data and of the value of these data. If we have a value in this society, is because we produce data for who makes money keeping us under control.

¿They have an future combination with any other singer or musicians? In others songs

 

Angela: In this album as I told you we already had a lot of guests. I hope to have a duet with some great female singer in the next album!:D I have a dream..who knows :D

 

 

¿When have you in Latin America? In some Tour

 

Angela: It would be very cool! In this moment we haven't considered a tour in Latin America, you are so far away LOL But in the future who knows! We hope so!

 

¿There will be an new video of this new álbum?

 

Angela: On the 31st May it was released the first one in exclusive on the Revolver Magazine. The first single was “The Saviour”. We have ready other music videos but I can’t reveal which ones :D It’s a secret!

 

¿Anything else you'd like to share my friend with your fans?

 

Angela: I would remind the release of "Machination" that's on the 24th June, as I told you this album is a very special album with many surprises for the listeners. So you can't loose it! Then, we'll be on tour in July in Slovenia, Slovakia, Austria, Poland and Hungay and in August in UK, Belgium and Holland so we hope to see you on the road! Saludos amigos! les dejo esta super y emotiva entrevista de nuestra amiga Ángela, de la banda Secret Rule!  Muchas gracias!

 

Hola Ángela, muchas gracias por esta entrevista. Me agrada mucho tu voz.

¿Cómo has estado amiga mía?

 

Hola José, Estoy muy bien gracias! Feliz de poder hablar contigo!

 

Háblanos un poco sobre quién es Ángela actualmente.

 

Actualmente Ángela es una mujer que sabe lo que quiere de su mayor pasión, el canto!.

Ella sabe que sin eso no podría vivir y lo más hermoso de todo esto, es tener la posibilidad de compartir su pasión con la gente.

 

En tu carrera musical y tu voz! (me gusta mucho!), en tu nuevo álbum es maravillosa! Dinos, ¿cómo fue tu entrenamiento vocal?

 

Estudie canto operístico durante tres años y aunque adoraba cantarlo, sabía que ese género no era para mí.

 

Comencé a estudiar canto moderno con Francesca Tenuta, una persona maravillosa que me dio todas las herramientas para hacer lo que quiera con mi voz (casi cualquiera cosa) sin perder mi personalidad.

 

Actualmente sigo estudiando con ella por qué haberla conocido, ha sido un constante intercambio de conocimiento para mejorar y enriquecerme más.

 

¿Cuál es tu rango vocal?

 

Creo que no es importante saber que notas puedes alcanzar, si no saber de cuantas maneras diferentes puedes alcanzar la misma.

 

¿Tienes otros proyectos? ¿O solo con tu banda?

 

Soy monógama y muy fiel! Así que solo trabajo con Secret Rule! :D dejándome de bromas, la verdad es que yo soy quien escribe las letras y las melodías así que no tengo tiempo para otros proyectos. La verdad es que prefiero hacer una cosa a la vez pero de la mejor manera!

¿Qué tipo de música es la que más te influye? Metal, rock..

 

Deje de escuchar pop italiano hasta los 20 años. Un día un chico me invito  a un concierto de metal y yo acepte más que nada por curiosidad.

 

Era nada más y nada menos que Stratovarius! Quede muy impresionada y deje a un lado la música pop. Me perdí en el metal.

 

Comencé a escuchar bandas como Lacuna Coil, Nightwish, Within Temptation, Anathema, The Gathering y muchas más.

También escuchaba bandas de rock como Anouk, Alanise Morisette, The Cranberries, Skunk Anansie (solia tener un grupo de covers cuando estaba chica), Bjork y también Sigur Ros, esta banda es muy especial, los vi en un auditorio y fueron fantásticos.

 

Me encanta la buena música! Incluso llego a escuchar Blues.

 

¿Podrías contarnos un poco de los antecedentes de tu banda, en estos momentos con el lanzamiento de su álbum ‘Machination’?

 

En estos momentos estamos muy emocionados por el lanzamiento de nuestro nuevo álbum ‘Machination.

 

Estamos trabajando muy duro para el show que estaremos presentando por toda Europa para promocionarlo.

 

¿Cómo fue la producción de este álbum? Es un álbum muy bien  hecho!

Tenemos nuestro propio estudio, así que tenemos todo el tiempo del mundo para crear y cambiar las canciones hasta quedar satisfechos.

 

En este nuevo álbum estamos presentando a dos miembros nuevos! Henrik Klingenberg (Sonata Arctica) en los teclados y Sander Zoer (Ex miembro de Delain) en la batería.

Dos grandes músicos que grabaron sus pistas en su propio estudio y le dieron al álbum un valor adicional.

 

La mezcla y masterización fue hecha por Tue Madsen en su estudio ‘Antfarm’ en Dinamarca. Hicimos el primer álbum también con el.

 

Es el hombre correcto para el sonido que buscamos.

 

Además en este álbum encontraran invitados muy especiales, como: Stefan Helleblad (Within Temptation), Timo Somers (Delain), Fabio D’Amore (Serenity) y Janneke De Rooy (Paper Doll Decay).Así que no pueden perderse este álbum!

 

¿Cuál fue la inspiración para este álbum?

Es fuerte, veloz y melódico! Me agrada tu voz en el.

 

Gracias! Usualmente Andy es quien me da canciones instrumentales.

Las escucho y trato de imaginarme algo, sentimientos e imágenes de las cuales ya se tratara la canción.

 

Después improviso una melodía y al final escribo la letra.

Somos bastante rápidos en este proceso, el álbum fue escrito y grabado durante el verano.

 

¿Cuál canción sientes que es la que captura la esencia del álbum?

 

Personalmente, siento que la canción que captura más la esencia del álbum es ‘Ex-Machina’.

Esta canción es homónima a la película que me dejo pensando mucho,  acerca de nuestra condición como sociedad hecha de información y sobre todo el valor de esa información.

 

Si tenemos un valor en esta sociedad, es porque nosotros producimos información para aquellos que producen dinero y así nos mantienen bajo su control.

 

¿Planean sacar una colaboración con algún otro cantante o músico?

 

En este álbum como les comentaba, hay muchas colaboraciones con grandes invitados!

Espero hacer un dueto con alguna cantante femenina en el siguiente álbum!

Ese es mi sueño pero quién sabe!

 

¿Cuándo tendrán un Tour por Latinoamérica?

 

Eso sería genial! En estos momentos no tenemos considerado un Tour por Latinoamérica, nos quedan bien lejos! LOL

 

Pero quién sabe si en el futuro! Ojala si!

 

¿Habrá video nuevo para este año?

 

El 31 de Mayo lanzamos el primero en exclusiva para la revista Revolver.

El primer single fue ‘The Saviour’.

 

Tenemos ya preparados los siguientes videos pero no puedo revelar cuales! :D Es un secreto!

 

¿Algo más te gustaría agregar para tus fans?

 

Quiero recordarles que el lanzamiento de ‘Machination’ será  el próximo 24 de Junio.

Como les comentaba será un álbum muy especial y tendrá muchas sorpresas para nuestros escuchas!

 

No se lo pueden perder!

 

En Julio nos espera un Tour por Eslovenia, Eslovaquia, Austria, Polonia y Hungría.

En Agosto estaremos por Reino Unido, Bélgica y Holanda! Esperamos verlos por allá.
