Nocturna is the new Euro-metal sensation focused on the duality of founder and frontwomen Grace Darkling and Rehn Stillnight, both pictured in the beautiful artwork. Their powerful voices and charismatic personalities stand out on the whole record, each one with a very distinct tone.

 

‘Daughters of the Night’ mixes Gothic Symphonic and Power metal elements, alternating between fast & heavy neck breaking episodes and intense, piano-oriented ballads.

 

The concept of duality is particularly noticeable in Nocturna’s refined lyrics too – portraying some romantic, decadent and Miltonian landscapes.

Daughters of the Night

 

A slightly louder musical entrance, a little more established and harder chords, the voices are excellent from both vocalists! With good register and scale, power metal with a higher dose!

 

The Sorrow Path

 

Starting with an overture of soft keyboards and accompanied by a clean, white voice and also with a soft and light timbre, a more epic and harmonious song.

 

Sea of Fire

 

Keyboards and chords in a single line, with the same intensity as the previous song, a little louder the guitars to the beat of the drums.

 

Blood of Heaven*

 

Here we hear more of the melodic and epic style of a symphonic metal with power metal! Higher speed, the beat and in the chords of those super rhythmic guitars.

A melodious and elegant musical entrance, drums break with everything and opening the beat which thus continues with a wonderful musical combination in the beautiful voices of both vocalists.

A beautiful harmonic melody, melodic and with a bit of romanticism, symphonic / power metal very well delivered.

 

Nocturnal Whispers

 

Excellent start totally with classical instruments, epic and gothic sounds throughout the music track, an overture for the final part of this great debut album.

 

The Trickster

 

A strong ending, with strong guitars, strong and hard chords, like the drums, this song the vocal harmony of the two singers is taken to a higher level.

 

My Recomendation

 

The albúm of Nocturna band is rich in melody, rhythmic, symphonic and gothic passages with a strong dose of power metal, chords of harder moments and other softer ones with an excellent melodic structure with the band's personal stamp, with two Brief instrumental and atmospheric songs that give the album a beginning and an end, Daughters of the Night is an album with a strong, solid production, with a good balance between instrumental parts, epics, and orchestrations, with influences of Finnish power metal. but what makes the album different is by the conversion of voices between both vocalists, an attack on the voice! Lovers of the power, goth and symphonic metal genres will love its fresh sound and style!

 

The Voice

 

The band has an excellent combination of beautiful voices between Grace and Rehn! With a high register and scale, clean and strong voices, both voices are unique and in the context of the Nocturna band, they use both vocal approaches with a combination of similar roles without one of the voices standing out more than the other.

Nocturna es la nueva sensación de Euro-metal centrada en la dualidad de las fundadoras y líderes Grace Darkling y Rehn Stillnight, ambas representadas en la hermosa obra de arte. Sus poderosas voces y personalidades carismáticas se destacan en todo el disco, cada una con un tono muy distinto.

 

'Daughters of the Night' mezcla elementos góticos sinfónicos y power metal, alternando entre episodios rápidos y pesados que rompen el cuello y baladas intensas orientadas al piano.

Una entrada musical un poco más fuerte, acordes un poco más afianzados y duros, las voces son excelentes de ambas vocalistas! Con buen registro y escala, power metal con mayor dosis!

Iniciando con una obertura de teclados suaves y acompañados de voz limpia, blanca y también con un timbre suave y ligero, una canción más épica y armoniosa.

 

Sea of Fire

 

Teclados y acordes en una solo línea, con la misma intensidad que la canción anterior, un poco más fuertes las guitarras al compás de la batería.

Aquí escuchamos más el estilo melódico y épico de un metal sinfónico con power metal! Mayor velocidad, el compás y en los acordes de esas guitarras súper rítmicas.

Una entrada musical melodiosa y elegante, batería rompe con todo y abriendo el compás la cual así continua con una estupenda combinación musical en las bellas voces de ambas vocalistas.

 

Darkest Days

 

Una bella melodía armónica, melódica y con un poco de romanticismo, symphonic/power metal muy bien entregado.

 

Nocturnal Whispers

 

Excelente inicio totalmente con instrumentos clásicos, sonidos épicos y góticos en toda la pista musical, una obertura para la parte final de este gran albúm debut.

Un final fuerte, con unas guitarras contundentes, acordes fuertes y duros, al igual que la batería, esta canción la armonía vocal de las dos cantantes se lleva a un mayor nivel.

 

Mi Recomendación

 

El albúm de Nocturna band, es rico en melodía, pasajes rítmicos, sinfónicos, góticos y con una fuerte dosis de power metal, acordes de momentos más duros y otros más suaves con una excelente estructura melódica con el sello personal de la banda, con dos canciones breves instrumentales y atmosféricas que le dan un inicio y un final al albúm, Daughters of the Night es un disco con una producción fuerte, sólida, con un buen equilibrio entre las partes instrumentales, épicas, y orquestaciones, con influencias de power metal finlandés pero lo que hace diferente al álbum es por la conversión de voces entre ambas vocalistas, un ataque en la voz! Para los amantes de los generos power, goth y metal sinfónico les encantara su sonido y estilo fresco!

 

La Voz

 

La banda cuenta con excelente combinación de bellas voces entre Grace y Rehn! Con un alto registro y escala, voces limpias y fuertes, ambas voces son únicas y en contexto de la banda de Nocturna, utilizan ambos enfoques vocales con una combinación de roles similares sin que alguna de las voces sobre salga más que otra.
