Hello my friends! This week a phenomenal singer told me very interesting things! Ida Elena DeRazza, current singer of the Band Bare Infinity

 

A little history of the band

 

In 2011 Bare Their new EP Infinity released on the day of Their appearence at the MFVF

The EP was Hailed as one of the very best releases of the year.

In march of 2012, Bare Infinity Firewind supported in Athens and a few days later disbanded.

 

As of May of 2013 Bare Infinity returns with a new lineup and new album in the worx and in January of 2014 the Band announces upcoming Italian Singer Ida Elena as new frontwoman Bare Infinity

 

She has a beautiful voice and a captivating personality! here I leave the great interview that she gave me!

Hi! My friend! How are you?

 

Hi, buddy! It's alrigh, thank you!

 

Who is Ida Elena behind the scenes, and in your daily life?

 

I am kind of the same person I am on stage: completely crazy, always willing to have fun and discover new things! I love being in nature, surrounded by any kind of animal. Who knows me since a long time also knows that, in my mind, I am always "on stage": I am continuously looking for the inspiration, that may come at any time, so it's very easy for me to take my mobile and record a melody that comes to my mind, unexpectedly!

 

Tell us who is Ida Elena in this time 2014? 

 

2014 seems to be a great year so far!

My song "Midnight prayer" featuring  Maddy and Nancy - the Sisters of the Moon (ex Blackmore's Night), Albert Dannenmann (ex Blackmore's Night - Cantus Lunaris) and Tomas Goldney (Bare Infinity) will be finally out!!

I joined Bare Infinity and it's an amazing opportunity for me; first of all, I love this band (and I love Greece as well)! Oh,a funny fact: for the audition, where I was picked amongst singers from all over the world, I had to sing one song in particular which is called "Awakening Moonlight" (you can find a version of this song sang by me on youtube), and I found this fact quite strange since I wrote two songs called "Awakening" (featuring Gaby Koss) and "Moonlight"!! And secondly, I have the chance to be the songwriter of this band, so I can give my own personality to the songs we will be performing! I hope to do a good job! Then, I am performing with Cantus Lunaris at Crana Historica, which is a great festival in Kronach (8th of June) and we'll be at "Semper memento Historia" , next to Hannover (25/27th of July).

And moooooooooore stuff coming :)

 

What are you doing in all this time with Bare Infinity and Cantus Lunaris? Some new proyect?

 

Bare Infinity: Tomas and I are writing and composing  the new album and ...we are going to shoot two videoclips in the Summer! But don't tell anyone :) I Can only tell you it's gonna be... EPIC!

 

Cantus Lunaris: we are going to release our second album, "Formosus fons", which is a Renaissance Music one, featuring a song written by our Countertenor, Samuel Santana.

Then, we are working on our third cd, a rock one, where the original songs are written by me! It's such a great honor for me, and a great pleasure too, since  I can play and work with my two beloved friends Albert Dannenmann (ex Blackmore's Night) and Gaby Koss (Ex Haggard)!

 

Which are your inspirations in this Music? Do you have any Singer in special?

 

My favourite singer was always Celine Dion and, generally, the American Female voices in Disney Soundtracks... when I think of them, that's my idea of "singer"! I find them so powerful and expressive! Then, I like Amy Lee very much and of course Tarja and my friend Gaby, but they are classical sopranos, so I can only enjoy their voices, because it's something completely different than me.

 

What type of Music inside Metal you like more? And Why?

 

I don't have a favourite kind of music, I listen to classical music, folk music, rock, metal, pop, so I cannot say there is a kind of metal I like more than the others, but I can say that I really enjoy Epic stuff, so maybe I am more the Power Metal type :)

 

Within the symphonic Metal, which is what is most important to you? an album full of history, an album full of music, or a combination of the two styles?

 

I think the most important thing is giving something to the people listening to you: it's crucial to keep in mind that when you write new songs, the people will listen to it, so you don't have to be "weird" or too alternative at any costs. Music is not for the critics, or for the other musicians, it's for the people! Nevertheless, I am  a fan of History and Mythology, so I am always glad when I find some of that in an album!

 

What is your range vocal?

 

I am a pop Mezzo-soprano.

 

Do you write some songs?

Since a couple of years, I write almost every song I perform and I have to admit that it's the most awesome thing ever! I can say I am more a songwriter than a singer! it's amazing to sing your own feelings and emotions. You can find some of my songs on Youtube (the Ballad of the silver dressed lady Feat. Albert Dannenmann or Venice Tears, for example).

 

What's the first step when making a new song?

 

When I am writing "all alone", I get my guitar and I start playing: the song comes, after a while. When I am writing with Bare Infinity, I sometimes send Tomas some of my songs, and then he arranges them, or he sends me a structure already arranged and then I write melody and lyrics. However, it all comes from my instinct, since I never had a formal music education. All I can say is that I put my heart and soul in everything I write :)

 

Some videoclip coming with one of the two bands?

 

About Bare Infinity, as I already said, we'll be shooting two videoclips of two of our new songs in the summer.

With Cantus Lunaris, we're still choosing the song to make the videoclip of! I'll keep you updated ;)

Hola mis amigos! en esta semana una cantante fenomenal me contó cosas muy interesantes! Ida Elena DeRazza, actual cantante de la Banda Bare Infinity

 

Un poco de la historia de la banda

 

En 2011 Bare Infinity lanzó su nuevo EP en el día de su aparición en el MFVF,  El EP fue aclamado como uno de los mejores lanzamientos del año.

En marzo de 2012, Bare Infinity apoyó Firewind en Atenas y unos días después se disolvió.

 

En mayo de 2013  Bare Infinity regresa con una nueva formación y un nuevo álbum y en enero de 2014 la banda anuncia próxima Cantante italiana Ida Elena de Bare Infinity la nueva vocalista

 

Ella tiene una hermosa voz y una personalidad cautivante! aqui les dejo la gran entrevista que ella me dio!

Hola amigo, todo va bien gracias

 

Quien es Ida Elena detrás del escenario y en su vida diaria?

 

Soy el mismo tipo de persona que en el escenario: completamente loca, siempre buscando diversión y descubriendo nuevas cosas. Me encanta estar en la naturaleza, rodeada por cualquier tipo de animal.

Quien me conoce de tiempo, sabe que en mi mente siempre estoy "en el escenario". Estoy continuamente buscando inspiración, puede llegar en cualquier momento así que para mí es fácil tomar mi celular y grabar una melodía que venga a mi mente, inesperadamente.

 

Dinos quien es Ida Elena en este 2014?

 

2014 parecer ser un buen año, hasta ahora! Mi canción "Midnight prayer" presentando a Maddy y Nancy - The sisters of the moon (ex Blackmore's night), Albert Dannenmann (ex Blackmore's night - Cantus Lunaris) y Tomas Goldney (Bare Infinity) por fin saldrá!.

Me uní a Bare Infinity y fue una oportunidad asombrosa, por que amo esta banda. Un dato chistoso: para la audición en la que fui elegida entre cantantes de todo el mundo, tuve que cantar una canción en particular llamada "Awakening Moonlight" (pueden encontrar una versión cantada por mi en youtube) y encontré este hecho bastante extraño, ya que yo escribí dos canciones llamadas "Awakening" (presentando a Gaby Koss) y "Moonlight".

Además, tengo la oportunidad de escribir canciones para esta banda asi puedo darle mi personalidad a las canciones que vamos a interpretar. Espero hacer un buen trabajo!

Después voy a interpretar junto con Cantus Lunaris en Crana Historica, el cual es un gran festival en Kronach (8 de Junio) y estaremos en "Semper Memento Historia" y después a Hannover (25-27 de Julio) y muchas cosas más.

 

Que estás haciendo con Bare Infinity y Cantus Lunaris? Algún proyecto nuevo?

 

Bare Infinity: Tomas y yo estamos escribiendo y componiendo el nuevo album y vamos a grabar 2 videoclips en verano. Pero no le digan a nadie! solo puedo decirles que será épico!.

Cantus Lunaris: Vamos a lanzar nuestro segundo álbum "Formosus Fons" el cual es de música estilo renacimiento, presentando una canción escrita por nuestro contratenor, Samuel Santana.

Después, empezamos a trabajar en nuestro tercer disco que es de rock y las canciones son originales y son escritas por mí!. Es un gran honor para mí y un gran placer también desde que puedo trabajar y tocar con mis dos queridos amigos, Albert Dannenmann (ex Blackmore's Night) y Gaby Koss (ex Haggard).

 

Cuál es tu inspiración en esta música? Tienes algún cantante en especial?

 

Mi cantante favorita siempre ha sido Celine Dion y por lo general las voces femeninas en los soundtracks de Disney. Cuando pienso en ellas esa es mi idea de "cantante" y las encuentro poderosas y expresivas! también me gusta mucho Amy Lee y por supuesto Tarja, y mi amiga Gaby pero ella son clásico soprano.

Así que solo puedo disfrutar sus voces por que son completamente diferentes a mí.

 

Qué tipo de música, dentro del metal te gusta más? y por que?

 

No tengo un tipo de música favorito, escucho música clásica, folk, rock, metal y pop. No puedo decir que hay un tipo de metal que me guste más que otros, pero puedo decir que disfruto mucho de lo épico, así que tal vez soy más del power metal.

Dentro del metal sinfónico, que es más importante para ti? un álbum lleno de historia, un álbum lleno de música o una combinación de los dos estilos?

Pienso que lo más importante es darle algo a la gente que te escucha: es crucial mantener en mente que cuando escribes nuevas canciones la gente las escuchara, así que no tienes que ser "raro" o muy alternativo.

La música no es para las críticas, o para otros músicos, es para la gente! sin embargo, soy fan de la historia y mitología así que me da gusto encontrar algo de eso en un álbum.

 

Cuál es tu rango vocal?

 

Soy una Mezzo - Soprano Pop

Escribes algunas canciones?

Desde hace un par de años. Escribo la mayoría de las canciones que interpreto y tengo que admitir que es algo increíble! puedo decir que soy más una compositora que cantante! es asombroso poder cantar sobre tus propios sentimientos y emociones.

Pueden encontrar alguna de mis canciones en YouTube ("The ballad of the silver dressed" presentando a Albert Dannenmann o "Venice Tears", por ejemplo).

 

Cuál es el primer paso cuando haces una nueva canción?

 

Cuando estoy escribiendo sola, agarro mi guitarra y empiezo a tocar: la canción viene después de un rato.

Cuando escribo con Bare Infinity a veces le mando a Tom algunas de mis canciones y luego el,  las arregla o me envía una estructura ya arreglada y escriba la melodía y las letras.

Todo viene de mi instinto, por que yo nunca tuve una educación musical formal. Todo lo que puedo decir es que pongo mi alma y corazón en todo lo que escribo.

 

 

 

Viene videoclip nuevo con alguna de estas bandas?

 

Con Bare Infinity, como ya dije, estaremos grabando un par de videoclips para dos de nuestras nuevas canciones en el verano.

Con Cantus Lunaris, aún estamos escogiendo a que canción hacerle videoclip así que los mantendré informados.

Gracias, todo lo que puedo decir es: nunca renuncien a sus sueños, incluso si eso significa irse a otro país (en mi caso 2) para hacerlos realidad.
