Cheers! friends! this weekend I leave this interview with one of our friends singers from Latin America, from Honduras Central America, Bonny Eguigure! for you!

 

How have you been, my friend?

 

I've been very excited, composing and rehearsing.

I'm very happy of sharing my time with you and your readers.

 

Tell us, ¿How was your last year and how it's going this year?

 

We've been looking for new musicians. We need serious and professional people.

People who would like to be part of a great project and it will be pioneer in Honduras.

Also, i've been doing some arrangements for the composition of my first songs.

 

Do you have new projects on mind? What have you planned?

 

I have on mind to release my band BATALARIA. I think that will be my unique focus.

 

What has been your vocal and musical training? Tell us a little of your story

 

Since i can remember i've always loved singing, but i started studying professionally till year 2014.

 

I studied singing at National school of music and i learned a lot of things with my teacher, including musical language.

 

Also i learned a lot with the chorus of the national philharmonic, i was there a short time but it was a great musical experience.

 

And now i'm about to start a degree in Singing!

 

What are the singers that have influenced you?

 

My biggest influence in this genre and in lyric singing is Tarja Turunen.

Since i heard her in Nightwish i was delighted and her album ONCE marked my destiny and my musical taste.

 

Other influences are: Anna Netrebko, Liv Kristine, Diana Damrau, Manuela Kraller, Sarah Brightman, Vibeke Stene, Loreena Mckennitt, Lori Lewis and Masha Scream.

 

What is your vocal range?

 

I'm a soft lyric soprano and my range goes from G#3 natural to F#6 natural.

What do you like to do offstage? What are your hobbies?

 

I have a family business of event planning and i'm about to release with my partner a new drink that captures the exotic flavour of Honduras. But most of my time is dedicated to music.

 

Mi hobbies are: Reading, Movies, Fashion, Videogames, writing, japanese anime and recently, running.

 

What can you say about your band BATALARIA? What is the concept and what does the name mean?

 

Our concept is to fight against the adversities of life, always fighting without giving up and finding the inner warrior that all have.

 

Is not easy to find but we need to project positively, using like means of expression The mythology and fantasy.

 

The name means ''Warship'' in Latin.

Your style is symphonic pagan metal. ¿How can you mix this musical styles?

 

We take the passionate feeling from symphonic and we mix with the aggressiveness from pagan metal.

 

Mixing every instrument of each genre and changing the Thematic of the songs, depending the story we are telling.

 

What is the inspiration in the lyric of your songs? How is this process of writing and capture passion?

 

My biggest inspiration when i write is The Mythology.

 

Also thoughts and ideas about a topic and then i like to mix them with fantasy, like religion, true stories that i've read or what i've lived.

 

When i'm writing i like to imagine and that helps me to give a place or atmosphere to the lyrics.

 

I always choose a theme and then start with my opinion and feelings, then i give the epic touch and finally it fits perfectly with the genre.

 

This is a great question.There are preparations for a new álbum or demo?

 

In this moment we are preparing the songs for the recording of our demo and we hope to share with you guys very soon.

 

Tell us, how is the music scene in your country?

 

The music scene in our country is small, it needs to develop more and of course, it needs support. Support from the audience as well as from the bands.

If the bands supported each other, it would be a big change.

 

There will new projects for this year?

We are planning some local events and of course, release our music.

 

There is something that have not asked you before? Would you like to tell us?

 

It have never asked me if i imagine my life without being musician.

The answer would be no! I can't imagine my life without music.

 

Something else you want to share with us?

 

We are struggling to make our dreams come true and then share with you guys, our compositions.

¡Saludos! Amigos! este fin de semana les dejo esta entrevista con una de nuestras amigas cantantes de América Latina, de Honduras Centroamérica, Bonny Eguigure! para ti!

 

Muchas gracias por saber de ti mi amiga Bonny! Un placer!

 

¿Cómo has estado Bonny?

 

Hola que tal amigo? pues muy emocionada componiendo, ensayando y muy feliz de estar compartiendo contigo y los lectores.

 

¿Que ha sido de Bonny en el último año y en lo que va apenas de este año cuéntanos?

 

Hemos estado en la búsqueda de músicos serios y profesionales que quieran formar parte de un proyecto que será pionero en Honduras. También he estado haciendo los arreglos para componer mis primeras canciones.

 

Tienes nuevos proyectos en mente? Que has planeado! Un adelanto!

 

Tengo en mente salir a la luz con mi banda Batalaria, por los momentos seria mi único enfoque.

 

¿Cuál ha sido tu formación musical y vocal? Un poco de tu historia!

 

Desde que tengo memoria me ha fascinado cantar, pero profesionalmente estudié canto hasta el 2014 en la Escuela Nacional de Música, ahí aprendí mucho con mi maestra de canto, me enseño también lenguaje musical lo cual fue un gran bonus para mi aprendizaje, también aprendí mucho con el coro de la Filarmónica Nacional aunque fue poco el tiempo en el que estuve ahí por los horarios pero fue una gran experiencia musicalmente, estoy a punto de inicia la Licenciatura en canto.

 

¿Cuáles son tus influencias o vocalistas que te hayan influido? O hay algunos que aún siguen influyendo en ti?

 

Mi mayor influencia para comenzar en este género y al estilo de canto lirico fue Tarja Turunen al escucharla con Nightwish me dejo encantada, su álbum Once marco enormemente mi destino y gusto musical, otra influencia en mi es Anna Netrebko, Liv Kristine, Diana Damrau, Manuela Kraller, Sarah Brightman, Vibeke Stene, Loreena Mckennitt, Lori Lewis y Masha Scream.

 

 

Que rango de voz tienes?

 

Soy una Soprano Lírica Ligera y mi rango va de G#3 natural a un F#6 natural.

¿A qué te dedicas fuera de los escenarios, hobbies?

 

Tengo un negocio familiar de eventos, también estoy a punto de lanzar al mercado con mi socia un nuevo trago que captará el sabor exótico de la cultura hondureña, pero más que nada estoy dedicada a la música, mis hobbies son: La lectura, el cine, la moda, los videojuegos, la escritura, el anime y recientemente correr.

 

 

¿Que nos puedes decir de ‘Batalaria band’ cuál es el concepto y que significa el nombre?

 

El concepto de nuestra banda se centra en batallar contra todas las adversidades de la vida, siempre luchando sin darse por vencido, descubriendo al guerrero interno que todos tenemos dentro pero que no siempre logramos liberar y proyectarlo de una manera positiva, utilizando como medio de expresión la mitología y la fantasía. El nombre significa”Barco de Guerra” en latín.

 

Tu estilo es Symphonic Pagan Metal, como mezclas esos conceptos o estilos musicales?

 

Tomamos el sentimiento apasionado del symphonic y lo mezclamos con la agresividad del pagan metal, mezclando los instrumentos característicos de cada género y variando la temática de las canciones según la historia que estamos relatando.

 

Cuál es la inspiraciones en la lírica de tus canciones? Como es el trabajo para escribir y plasmar esa pasión?

 

Mi mayor inspiración al escribir es la mitología, pensamientos e ideas sobre un tema mezclándolos con un factor de fantasía, ya sea sobre religión, historias reales que he leído o bien sobre lo que siento y he vivido. Al escribir letras siempre utilizo la imaginación y eso me ayuda a darle un cierto ambiente o lugar a lo que estoy describiendo en la lirica, siempre elijo un tema y esa es mi partida para comenzar y mezclo mi opinión y sentimientos con un toque épico para encajar en el género.

 

Una súper pregunta, hay preparativos para un nuevo álbum o demo?

 

En estos momentos estamos preparando las canciones para grabar nuestro primer demo y esperamos poder compartirlo con todos ustedes muy pronto.

 

 

Dinos como es la escena dentro del Metal en tu país?

 

Pues la escena en nuestro país es pequeña aun le falta desarrollarse y ganar apoyo tanto del público como de las mismas bandas apoyarse mutuamente sería un gran cambio.

 

¿Hay proyectos/tours en puerta en este 2016? Cómo cuáles?

 

Tenemos en mente planificar algunos eventos locales y lanzar nuestra música.

 

¿Algo que no te hayan preguntado antes y quieras decirnos?

 

Nunca me han preguntado si imagino mi vida sin ser músico y la respuesta seria que no, no me imagino llevando una vida donde no involucre la música.

 

¿Algo más que nos quieran compartir amigos?

 

Estamos luchando para hacer nuestros sueños realidad y así compartir con ustedes nuestras composiciones.
