Fronted by singer Karen the band named Seven Waters chooses not to release a full length album but to tease the public with an EP “Pathfinder” in 2012 and another EP “Hunter’s Prey” in 2015. Both pieces of art are received extremely well and see the band sharing the stage with Dutch female fronted masters DELAIN.

 

With the “Hunter’s Prey” release came the professionally shot video “Hunter’s Prey”, starring actors that made appearances in major Dutch TV series. The video became a success on YouTube, gaining the band attention in areas beyond The Netherlands e.g. being played on the radio in the UK. Subsequently, people all over the world are enjoying both EP’s in countries such as Japan, Canada, Germany, USA and the UK!

 

In 2016 Seven Waters will go out and promote the EP and videoclip in The Netherlands and Germany. All members have played and recorded in other bands and played numerous shows in The Netherlands and beyond.

 

In late 2016 it’s time to focus on the release of a full-length album for which a number of songs are already written. Again, the music is rooted into progressive rock and metal with a lot of space for melody and technical proficiency.

Hunter’s Prey

 

An entry with strong symphonic strings, combined battery and guitar riffs, has some measures in the sudden change of pace, reaching a rhythmic musical voice to the beat of the song notes, but something forced, like the guitar riff me! A remarkable Progressive Metal, balancing a progressive rock and metal, combined with the melody and technical parts.

 

Weight Of Loss

 

I like the entrance, a very unique and characteristic style of the previous song, progressive style is quite remarkable, the voice of them is engaged but sometimes surpassed by drums and guitars, the riffs sound great, melodic and rhythmic the song.

 

Mother Egypt All For Love

 

I draw attention to the entrance, a very sublime piano duet in pleasant and melodic vocals with the entrance, a slower and more musical sound techniques in this song, the riffs are very noticeable and good element gives a more dramatic touch! Voices darker and striking chorus, have the final margin of nice solos and tempo changes, good!

 

Broken Images

 

Electronic sequences and faster melodic voice input this song with battery at the start, managing guitars and drums is quite remarkable skill, no longer in the technical parts with an interesting finish, something quick.

 

My Recomendation

 

The rhythm of drums and guitars is remarkable, strong and blunt I got many elements in the songs, which makes it a little 'different' to listen, with notable changes in the technical elements, sometimes the musical parts outweigh the voices found in the songs and that does not reach to hear a little that transmits, especially in the higher parts of the songs. However in the melodic line and the way the songs are made are very good, has a unique and striking style making a clear influence to groups like Dream Theater or The Gathering, The whole álbum is continuous, having the same style in all the songs.

 

 

+ The good

It is a good álbum, with different sounds and combinations, which the voice and the theme of the album they created

 

 

-The bad

A little messy by combining the musical technique, but only at certain tempos, is a continuous and strong drive.

 

Originality and Creativity

 

Good! Original and creative in the Cover Art is mysterious and striking! I like the wolf look intimidating.

 

Technique

 

Good skill in forceful and guitars and drums on some songs the battery is more noticeable than others, with excellent riffs shown.

 

Vocal

Karen's voice is very soft and sharp on high, clean, clear notes, only in the upper parts of the songs you lose a little voice coming sharpen that part, I would like an acoustic versión to hear perfectly with his vocal range and natural in his voice.

Liderado por la cantante Karen la banda llamada Seven Waters decide no lanzar un álbum de larga duración, pero para encantar al público con un EP "Pathfinder" en 2012 y otro EP "Presa del Cazador" o Hunter’s Pray en 2015. Ambas piezas de arte se recibió muy bien y ver a la banda compartiendo escenario con los Maestros holandeses de DELAIN.

 

Con la "Presa del cazador" se produjo el video la "Presa del cazador", protagonizada por los actores que hicieron apariciones en grandes series de televisión holandesa. El vídeo se convirtió en un éxito en YouTube, ganando la atención banda en áreas más allá de los Países Bajos, por ejemplo, que se está reproduciendo en la radio en el Reino Unido. Posteriormente, la gente de todo el mundo están disfrutando de los dos EP en países como Japón, Canadá, Alemania, EE.UU. y el Reino Unido!

 

En 2016 Seven Aguas saldrán y promover el video clip EP y video en los Países Bajos y Alemania. Todos los miembros han tocado y grabado en otras bandas y numerosos espectáculos en los Países Bajos y más allá.

 

A finales de 2016 es el momento de centrarse en el lanzamiento de un álbum de larga duración para el que ya se escriben una serie de canciones. Una vez más, la música tiene sus raíces en el rock progresivo y metal con un montón de espacio para la melodía y la capacidad técnica.

Vamos a la Reseña!

 

 

 

Hunter’s Prey

 

Una entrada, con secuencias sinfónicas fuertes, en combinación de batería y riffs de guitarra, tiene compases algo bruscos en el cambio de ritmo, una voz rítmica alcanzando las notas musicales al compás de la canción, pero algo forzado, el riff de guitarra me agrada! Un Metal Progresivo muy notable, equilibrando un Rock progresivo y Metal, combinando con la melodía y piezas técnicas.

 

Weight Of Loss

 

Me agrada la entrada, un estilo muy propio y característico de la canción previa, el estilo progresivo es bastante notable, la voz de ellas se acopla pero a veces es superada por la batería y guitarras, los riffs suenan muy bien, melódica y rítmica la canción.

 

Mother Egypt All For Love

 

Me llama la atención la entrada, un piano muy sublime un dueto en voces agradable y melódico con la entrada, un sonido más lento y con más técnicas musicales en esta canción, los riffs son muy notorios y buen elemento le da un toque más dramático!  Voces en coro más oscuro y llamativo, el final tienen cierto margen de agradables solos y cambios de tiempo, bueno!

Secuencias electrónicas y voz melódica más rápida en la entrada de esta canción con batería al inicio, el manejo de guitarras y batería es muy notable la habilidad, hay mayor tiempo en las piezas técnicas con un final interesante, algo rápido.

 

 

Mi Recomendación

 

El ritmo de la batería y guitarras es muy notable, fuertes y contundentes se puso muchos elementos en las canciones, lo que hace que sea un poco ‘distinto’ al escuchar, con cambios notables en los elementos técnicos, a veces las partes musicales superan a las voces encontradas en las canciones y eso hace que no se alcance a escuchar un poco lo que trasmite, en especial en las partes más altas de las canciones. Sin embargo en la línea melódica y la forma en que las canciones están hechas son muy buenas, tiene un estilo propio y llamativo haciendo una clara influencia a grupos como Dream Theater o The Gathering, Todo el álbum es continuo, teniendo el mismo estilo en todas las canciones.

 

+ Lo bueno

Es un buen disco, con unos sonidos y combinaciones diferentes, el cual la voz y la temática del disco así lo crean

 

-Lo malo

Un poco desordenado por la combinación en la técnica musical, pero en ciertos tempos solamente, es un disco continuo y fuerte.

 

 

 

Originalidad y Creatividad

 

Bueno! Original y Creativo en el Cover Art es misterioso y llamativo! Me agrada la mirada del lobo, intimidante.

 

Técnica

 

Buena en contundencia y habilidad de las guitarras y batería, en algunas canciones la batería es más notoria que en otras, con excelentes Riffs mostrados.

 

 

Vocal

La voz de Karen es muy suave y aguda en las notas altas, limpia y clara, solo en las partes altas de las canciones se pierde un poco su voz llegando agudizar esa parte, me gustaría una versión acústica para poder escucharla perfectamente con su rango vocal y natural en la voz.
