Formed in 2017, Jo Below are a four-piece melodic hard rock group based in Helsinki, Finland.

Founded from the ruins of Devil I Know, Jo Below consists of frontwoman Johanna Kari, guitarist Roni Seppänen, bassist Jonne Lindqvist and drummer Olli Vartiainen. The group combines traditional hard rock sounds with modern influences, calling their style of music ’modern classic rock’.

Jo Below will release their second EP ”No Control” via Inverse Records in April 16th 2021. Like its predecessor ”By the Rules” (released in 2020 via Inverse Records), ”No Control” is a sturdy ”all killer no filler” five-song EP that was written, recorded and produced by the band itself.

Ms. Death

A song with a good combination between the hard chords of the guitar and bass that carry the whole measure, accompanied by the drums and of course the voice of Johanna, a melodic and rhythmic hard rock with a classic eighties touch.

Where Are You Now?

A more melodic beat, lighter notes and catchy sound, a more relaxed sound than the opening track. Jhoanna's beautiful voice sounds great! A guitar solo accompanies the entire track, a song with a warm, soft and joyful atmosphere.

Another Dimension

We return with that rhythm a little more dense, chords between those guitars perfectly, a melodic and soft song, somewhat similar in style to the previous song.

I Confess

Excellent beginning with hard chords, and then light chords, a very melodic, simple, light song and great musical composition! A bit of Alternative Rock

No Control

And closing this light, melodic EP, with a beautiful combination of guitar arrangements and the beautiful voice of Jhoanna with a great theme of pure harmony with a beautiful song accompanied by an acoustic guitar that takes us with each note we hear.

My Recomedation

The band Jo Below releases a good EP! Simple, light, sometimes dense, melodic and with a very pleasant atmosphere! Great chords, a great guitar work perfectly done, a style between Hard Rock, Alternative Rock both from the period and from these times, they show us an excellent musical potential, for lovers of this genre and Jhoanna's voice will love it!

The Voice

Jhoanna's beautiful voice works wonders here, her light and high register at times makes a beautiful combination between notes and sounds with the change of rhythm, in fact, Jhoanna's voice totally guides the songs.

Formada en 2017, Jo Below es un grupo de hard rock melódico de cuatro integrantes con sede en Helsinki, Finlandia.

Fundada a partir de las ruinas de Devil I Know, Jo Below está formada por la líder Johanna Kari, el guitarrista Roni Seppänen, el bajista Jonne Lindqvist y el baterista Olli Vartiainen. El grupo combina sonidos tradicionales de hard rock con influencias modernas, llamando a su estilo de música "rock clásico moderno".

Jo Below lanzará su segundo EP "No Control" a través de Inverse Records el 16 de abril de 2021. Al igual que su predecesor "By the Rules" (lanzado en 2020 a través de Inverse Records), "No Control" es un robusto "all killer no filler" cinco -song EP que fue escrito, grabado y producido por la propia banda.

Una canción con una buena combinación entre los acordes duros de la guitarra y bajo que llevan todo el compás, acompañado de la batería y claro la voz de Johanna, un hard rock melódico y rítmico con un toque clásico ochentero.

Where Are You Now?

Un ritmo más melódico, notas más ligeras y sonido pegadizo, un sonido más relajado que la pista de apertura. La bella voz de Jhoanna suena genial! Un solo de guitarra acompaña a toda la pista, una canción con una atmosfera cálida, suave y alegre.

Another Dimension

Volvemos con ese ritmo un poco más denso, acordes entre esas guitarras de forma perfecta, una canción melódica y suave, algo parecida en estilo a la canción anterior.

I Confess

Excelente inicio con acordes duros, y después ligeros, ¡una canción muy melódica, sencilla, ligera y genial composición musical! Un poco de Rock Alternativo

No Control

Y cerrando este EP ligero, melódico, con una bella combinación de arreglos de guitarras y la bella voz de Jhoanna con una temática genial de pura armonía con una hermosa canción acompañada de una guitarra acústica que nos lleva con cada nota que escuchamos.

Mi Recomendación

La banda Jo Below lanza un buen EP! Sencillo, ligero, unas veces denso, melódico y con una atmosfera muy agradable! Acordes geniales, un gran trabajo de guitarra perfectamente hecho, un estilo entre Hard Rock, Rock Alternativo tanto de época como de estos tiempos, nos muestran un potencial musical excelente, para los amantes de este género y la voz de Jhoanna les encantara!

La Voz

La bella voz de Jhoanna hace maravillas aquí, su registro ligero y agudo por momentos hace bella combinación entre las notas y sonidos con el cambio de ritmo, de hecho, la voz de Jhoanna guía totalmente las canciones.
