Finnish modern melodic death metal band Dimman will release their debut album, Songs And Tales of Grievance; on July 30 via Inverse Records. The band combines rhythmic melodies with heavy compositions and musical technique. In combination of the two vocalists of Dimman Jenna and Valtteri with a strong, distinctive and very balanced sound.

About the Single 'Paroxysm';

Guitarist Jaakko Yli-Sorvari: "'Paroxysm' shows all the elements that Dimman is made of. Beautiful melodies, heavy riffs and technical musical skill combine to form a catchy soundscape. 'Paroxysm' tells the story of human arrogance and the opacity of a judgment. "

The album addresses all the grievances and insecurities that cause misery to both individuals and communities. The inability to affect injustices results in frustration, which can be heard in every song on the album.

Excellent sound and musical input, explosive, aggressive and powerful from Valtteri! Later Jenna makes an excellent entrance with her beautiful soft and clear voice.

"Paroxysm"*

Keyboards and Jenna's voice give this song an excellent body, a less dense song with more rhythm and melody, Valtteri's voice giving us the heavy and dark part.

"Obscenity"

Melodic, fast, heavy rhythms, chords and well handled electronic modern parts, a good acoustic part that soon returns to its heavy and hard sequence.

"Contretemps"

Soft keyboards in combination of a light and rhythmic melodic sequence with Jenna's voice in its entirety splendidly throughout the entire track.

"Morbus"*

Dense sounds, hard chords with the drums present in a great way, both the guitars, drums and the voices of the two of them come together in a unique and melodic way with all their power and strength.

An instrumental song almost to the middle of the track, but then a brutal, rhythmic and melodic musical storm in a very integrated way, those perfect riffs and with total forcefulness!

My Recomendation

A good, well-made album of modern, melodic metal, where there are strong, dense and powerful moments without affecting the rhythm and in combination of melodies, heavy riffs and technical musical skill in a great way that combine to form a catchy sound passage and also atmospheric, getting into the theme of the album, concept and instrumentation, the band sounds powerful and heavy, in addition to the melodic side that some arrangements add to it and the perfect Jenna's voice, the mixture of both voices gives it that wrapping between the brutal and the melodic.

The Voice

The voices give that combination of heavy, melodic, rhythmic, clear and brutal, Jenna's register is clear, clean and with a perfect sound when changing scales, and Valtteri's voice power, sound and clarity when singing .

La banda finlandesa de death metal melódico moderno, Dimman, lanzará su álbum debut, Songs And Tales of Grievance; el 30 de julio a través de Inverse Records. La banda combina melodías rítmicas con composiciones pesadas y técnica musical. En combinación de los dos vocalistas de Dimman Jenna y Valtteri con un sonido fuerte, distintivo y muy equilibrado.

Excelente sonido y entrada musical, explosiva, agresiva y poderosa de Valtteri! Posteriormente Jenna hace una excelente entrada con su bella voz suave y clara.

"Paroxysm"*

Teclados y la voz de Jenna le dan un cuerpo excelente a esta canción, una canción menos densa con mayor ritmo y melodía, la voz de Valtteri dándonos la parte pesada y oscura.

"Obscenity"

Ritmos melódicos, veloces, pesados, acordes y partes modernas electrónicas bien manejadas, una buena parte acústica que pronto regresa a su secuencia pesada y dura.

"Contretemps"

Teclados suaves en combinación de una secuencia melódica ligera y rítmica con la voz de Jenna en su totalidad de forma esplendida en toda la pista.

"Morbus"*

Sonidos densos, acordes duros con la batería presente de forma genial, tanto las guitarras, batería y las voces de ellos dos se conjunta de manera única y melódica con toda su potencia y fuerza.

"Progradation"

Una canción instrumental casi hasta la mitad de la pista, pero después una tormenta musical brutal, rítmica y melódica de forma muy integra, esos riffs perfectos y con total contundencia!

"Imprudence"*

Una fuerte y melódica entrada, melodic death genial! La voz de Valtteri excelente! El abre el camino para la voz limpia, melódica y clara de Jenna que en combinación suena brutalmente melódico y pesado.

"Memoria"

Jenna nos abre la puerta con una excelente entrada suave y melódica, con la voz de fondo de Valtteri, la cual aparece de forma potente y bestial, la escala tanto en las guitarras como en la batería se ajustan a su registro y fuerza.

"Umbra"

Excelente pista musical con fuerza, mayor velocidad de momentos, momentos claros donde entra la voz de Jenna y en momentos álgidos la poderosa voz de Valtteri.

"The Mist"

Cerrando de forma enérgica, melódica, fuerte y potente, riffs con fuerza, algo breves, pero con mucha potencia, momentos claros y ligeros donde entra la voz de Jenna de manera estupenda y momentos densos con la poderosa voz de Valtteri.

Mi Recomendación

Un albúm bueno, bien hecho, de metal moderno, melódico, donde hay momentos fuertes, densos y potentes sin repercutir en el ritmo y en combinación de melodías, riffs pesados y habilidad musical técnica de manera genial que se combinan para formar un pasaje sonoro pegadizo y también atmosférico adentrándonos a la temática del albúm, concepto y la instrumentación, la banda suena potente y pesada, además del lado melódico que le agregan algunos arreglos y la voz de Jenna perfecta, la mezcla de ambas voces le da esa envoltura entre lo brutal y lo melódico.

La Voz

Las voces le dan esa combinación entre lo pesado, melódico, rítmico, claro y brutal, el registro de Jenna es claro, limpio y con una perfecta sonoridad al momento de los cambios de escalas, y la voz de Valtteri potencia, sonoridad y claridad al cantar.
