Official Bio

Founded in 2012 by lead guitarist Melik Melek Khelifa and Serbian singer/pianist Jelena Dobric, and joined shortly thereafter by the guitarist Yosri Ouada, Persona quickly established themselves with the release of Elusive Reflections (2016) and Metamorphosis (2017). With an exotic and graceful atmosphere flowing through their modern metal sound, yet unafraid to flex some more extreme muscles when needed, Persona will not be held captive by the usual conventions of the female-fronted metal genre. Relocating to Germany in 2019 and solidifying a new line-up with Eike Nehen on the bass and Simon Schröder filling out the rhythm section, the band has already played some successful shows in Germany and released the single “Alpha” in October 2020. The release of their third full-length album is planned in October 2021, and it will showcase the next step in the band’s impressive evolution.

Ghost

Excellent surprise that they offer us this time with a totally different beginning to the band's own style, stronger chords, highs and very distinctive tempos changes, a very modern progressive style, there are very well done gutturals! Jelena surprises us.

Animals

It starts off with a heavy scale and chords, the lines between the bass and guitars sounds phenomenal, that Djent and Groovy style sound heavy and hard! Jelena's voice wow! We were surprised, between a clean and guttural style.

Beyond

We have a more melodic song from the entrance of Jelena's beautiful soft and rhythmic voice on this track, strong chords, but with long gaps between one tempo change and another, short hard riffs in combination with a clear and distinguished throaty voice.

Hurricane

We return with a hard and powerful start, those chords on those half distorted guitars of moments give it a brutal and dark touch, then those changes of rhythm between a slower and softer one.

You Can’t Stop Me

A musical beginning, soft but dense, heavy and strong, to the rhythm of Jelena's beautiful voice, a bit in the same line and style of the previous song.

Oracle

We have a more energetic start, here we can clearly hear more of those chords in the guitar line that perfect distortion that gives it a lot of heaviness with greater technique.

Shadows

An instrumental and melancholic beginning, rhythm and long musical notes, as well as her beautiful voice, we have an abrupt change more acoustic and soft, a musical ballad.

Shout out Loud

We return with the style, rhythm and forcefulness that they have been offering us since the beginning of the album, distortion of those chords in the guitar line accompanied by the voice changes between guttural and clean of the surprising Jelena!

Alpha

It has a beautiful modern beginning, atmospheric, groove and with that high energy between the heavy and strong chords along with the powerful gutturals of Jelena! This track is at times heavier than any of the previous ones.

Swallow the Night

And closing with a strong line and in that heavy chord line, along with Jelena's surprising voice between heavy gutturals and clean and smooth changes, another powerful track to strongly close this new album.

My Recomendation

I was surprised by this new album from our friends from Persona band! A notable change within their musical style, we have an album with Modern Metal with a combination of Djent Metal, Progressive Metal, Metalcore and at times of Groove metal, we can hear it remarkably in the entire chord line between those guitars and bass, distorted, bass and powerful, powerful guitar chords in low tones, there are no guitar solos, but if short riffs, guitars tuned very low and with distortion, as I say again, very notable, they are rhythmic songs with a lot of technique due to those changes in tempo, Sudden melodic, rhythmic changes in combination with subtle electronic components as well. Persona band leaves us a powerful and heavy album to reach beyond the borders of Europe! Many of you will like this new production with a brutal Jelena voice!

The Voice

This time Jelena's voice is amazing, guttural! Strong with a high register and range that adapts to the musical changes of each track, clean voice at times and accompanied by soft background choruses, but mostly the perfect and powerful throaty voice.

Bio Oficial

Fundada en 2012 por el guitarrista Melik Melek Khelifa y la cantante y pianista serbia Jelena Dobric, y poco después se unió el guitarrista Yosri Ouada, Persona se estableció rápidamente con el lanzamiento de Elusive Reflections (2016) y Metamorphosis (2017). Con una atmósfera exótica y elegante que fluye a través de su sonido de metal moderno, pero sin miedo a flexionar algunos músculos más extremos cuando sea necesario, Persona no será cautivada por las convenciones habituales del género de metal con fachada femenina. Tras mudarse a Alemania en 2019 y consolidar una nueva formación con Eike Nehen en el bajo y Simon Schröder completando la sección rítmica, la banda ya ha tocado en algunos shows exitosos en Alemania y lanzó el sencillo "Alpha" en octubre de 2020. El lanzamiento de su tercer álbum de larga duración está previsto para octubre de 2021, y mostrará el siguiente paso en la impresionante evolución de la banda.

Excelente sorpresa que nos brindan esta vez con un inicio totalmente distinto al estilo propio de la banda, acordes más fuertes, altos y cambios de tempos muy distintivos, un estilo progresivo muy moderno, hay guturales muy bien hechos! Jelena nos sorprende.

Animals

Arranca con una escala y acordes pesados, las líneas entre el bajo y guitarras se escucha fenomenal, ese estilo tipo Djent y Groovy suenan pesados y duros! La voz de Jelena wow! Nos sorprendió, entre un estilo limpio y gutural.

Beyond

Tenemos una canción más melódica desde la entrada de la bella voz suave y rítmica de Jelena en esta pista, acordes fuertes, pero con espacios largos entre un cambio de tempo y otro, riffs duros breves en combinación de una voz gutural clara y distinguida.

Hurricane

Volvemos con un inicio duro y potente, esos acordes en esas guitarras medio distorsionadas de momentos le dan un toque brutal y oscuro, después esos cambios de ritmo entre uno más lento y suave.

You Can’t Stop Me

Un inicio musical, suave pero denso, pesado y fuerte, a ritmo de la bella voz de Jelena, un poco en la misma línea y estilo de la canción anterior.

Oracle

Tenemos un inicio con mayor energía, aquí podemos escuchar claramente más esos acordes en la línea de guitarras esa distorsión perfecta que le da mucha pesadez con mayor técnica.

Shadows

Un comienzo instrumental y melancólico, ritmo y notas musicales largas, al igual que la bella voz de ella, tenemos un brusco cambio más acústico y suave, una balada musical.

Shout out Loud

Volvemos con el estilo, ritmo y contundencia que nos vienen ofreciendo desde el inicio de albúm, distorsión de esos acordes en la línea de guitarras acompañados de los cambios de voz entre gutural y limpio de la sorprendente Jelena!

Alpha

Tiene un bello inicio moderno, atmosférico, groove y con esa alta energía entre los acordes pesados y fuertes junto a los guturales potentes de Jelena! Esta pista esta por momentos más pesada que alguna de las anteriores.

Swallow the Night

Y cerrando con una línea fuerte y en esa línea de acordes pesados, junto a la voz sorprendente de Jelena entre guturales pesados y cambios limpios y suaves, otra pista potente para cerrar fuertemente este nuevo albúm.

Mi Recomendación

Me sorprendió este nuevo albúm de nuestros amigos de Persona band! Un cambio notable dentro de su estilo musical, tenemos un albúm con Metal Moderno con una combinación entre un Djent Metal, Metal Progresivo, Metalcore y por momentos de Groove metal, lo podemos escuchar notablemente en toda la línea de acordes entre esas guitarras y bajo, distorsionadas, graves y potentes, acordes poderosos de guitarras en tonos bajos, no hay solos de guitarra, pero si riffs breves, guitarras afinadas muy graves y con distorsión como vuelvo a decir muy notable, son canciones rítmicas y con mucha técnica por esos cambios en tempo, cambios melódicos, rítmicos repentinos en combinación con componentes electrónicos sutiles también. Persona band nos deja un albúm potente y pesado para llegar más allá de las fronteras de Europa! ¡A muchos de ustedes les gustara esta nueva producción con una voz de Jelena brutal!

La Voz

¡Esta ocasión la voz de Jelena es increíble, gutural! Fuerte con un registro alto y rango que se adapta a los cambios musicales de cada pista, voz limpia por momentos y acompañada de coros suaves de fondo, pero en su mayoría la voz gutural perfecta y potente.
