Greetings friends, this week if there is much good news! I'm bringing the whole Spanish-speaking world and the world of the Mexican band Beng Fairy! With a very talented and charismatic singer! Here are some of his official biography.

 

Hada de beng is a dream that started in 2001, then with the name of “Bella” Dany Beng (composer and lead guitar) Draugr (drums) and Noé (bass), began to create music with influence of ghotic rock. At 2003 the band change its name to “Hada de Beng”, final name that reflects the essence that is already beginning to solidify, in that point the sound is closer to melodic metal, creating a concept beyond the music, something unique and deep, reflecting each of its members. 

At 2008 “Empalador records” invites the band to participate in the album “Dinastía inmorta tercer acto” with the song “A través del silencio” and later in “Dinastía inmortal cuarto acto” with the song “Cacería de brujas”. Under the same label, in July 2009 goes on sale the first album “El canto de las hadas” with the line-up: Dany Beng on guitar, Noé on bass, Draugr on drums, Kimera on vocals, Sara on keyboards and Yescas on French horn. Then started a new journey, Hada de beng quickly finds its way into the national scene, having the chance to play on big venues and festivals such as: Rockstak and Metal Female Mexican Voices. After with Omar as second guitarist, the band realease a new album “En la busca de Khristal…” wich goes on sale in April 2013. 

In the course of the band there have been different members, all of them talented musicians and big friends, but they had to follow their own way. However the story always continues, bringing Hada de Beng into new ways and adventures. Now the line-up is Dany Beng (guitar and vocals), Draugr (bateria), Noé (Bass nad vocals) Esmeralda (vocals), Sara (keyboard) and Yescas (French horn), and they continue working to go further.

Who's Fairy Beng:

 

Fairy beng goes beyond the music we create, the music is rather a vehicle that allows us to convey feelings, experiences and a history of spiritual quest. It is a concept expressed through a fantastic story, where Beng has enslaved fairies from his kingdom, but they will realize they are born to fight and create, discover that there is much more out of the realm of Beng and fighting break free and go out looking what they have dreamed of, without knowing what they found. Beng The name is of Gypsy origin and means devil in our history Beng is a character who symbolizes everything that oppresses us and hinders us the way to our dreams.

 

 

While this story is a metaphor for the experiences of members and ex - members ¬ band portrays the path and the journey we went through to achieve a common goal , so that the story will continue to be written on a par with our music.

 

Fairy discs Beng feature this through their lyrics and melodies , but it will be understood until we get this out by way of story, hope it will be in a couple more albums . We are sure that many people can identify with what you want to convey through this concept, which is much more than music.

 

¿Tell us who is Esmeralda because this musical style ?

 

First of all I am a human being and as such I have many passions and interests that make my life more active and happy . The main activities in which I deal with are music and psychology. I'm a singer but I am also a graduate in social psychology , I try to accommodate my schedule to perform these activities in a professional manner , both require a lot of dedication , perseverance and study, but time is sometimes not enough, so if I had to choose I would devote himself to music.

The musical style, which in this case is symphonic metal is a genre that fills me , I have many years listening to metal especially bands with female vocals and Fairy Beng I feel very comfortable with the music and how I can develop my voice there in .

 

 

¿What are your hobbies?

 

I have many hobbies , sometimes do not have time for all, so now I try to give me time to play volleyball and I like to exercise so I'm almost every day to the gym. I enjoy reading , especially historical novels , I love the history and the social sciences in general , although it is not my profession I had to study authors from other disciplines to understand many things during my career , so therefore I like movies and series containing historical facts. I also like anything that has to do with the Celtic culture (music , mythology , language, etc. . ) I love taking a walk into the woods , traveling and meeting places full of nature , meet people from all over the world because it enriches learn a little about their culture.

 

¿Who are your musical influences ?

 

I admire many musicians and singers, could not say specifically which one has influenced me because there are times you hear more than one side to another or more than one singer. The metal I think no more complete than singer Floor Jansen , I admire the way that unfolds on stage and the control you have over your voice, you can sing just about anything . Some years ago I was very influenced by Sharon Den Adel, but with the new concept of Within Temptation lost interest , I also admire Lzzy Hale of Halestorm , and Sarah Squadrani Ancient Bards . Singers listen a lot to other genres Josh Groban, Emma Shaplin and Celtic Woman group. The more I listen to bands are Nightwish , Within Temptation , Kamelot , Rhapsody, Ancient Bards , Epica , Myrath , Dark Moor , Halestorm , Luca Turilli's Rhapsody, etc. . One of my main influences in terms of music genre is definitely Celtic music , and when fused to the metal , it seems a perfect match , folk metal is my favorite subgenre. On the other hand I like experimental music in which different genres are mixed , proposals that go beyond the ordinary always very attractive.

 

 

¿As your development been in and out of the stage, or direct you serious ?

 

Wear Fairy Beng in less than a year , but I had to quickly get used to the stage , as the band has a track record and position in the national scene. I must say that I feel more comfortable singing in a metal room that I feel freer in a recital of opera or musical theater, and strangely feel less nervous in front of many people who face few. Being on stage I like to think of the song lyrics and part of the story that is to try to convey what it means for us, so that the interpretation should be naturally.

Offstage I try to spend more time than before to study music as it previously did professionally, although I have several years taking singing lessons and have sung all my life , so far I have focused more on that.

 

¿Who you tell your fans? What I tell my fans?

 

In a weird question haha do not consider the people who come to take a photo or compliment me as a fan, I still do not get used to the concept, but much people admire thank and recognize your work , especially when you're new in a band, I think at that point I went pretty well .

 

 

¿I like to do some duo with a vocalist or some ?

 

Who does not like to sing next to someone you admire? International bands of course I would like a duet with Floor Jansen, Alessandro Conti Luca Turilli's Rhapsody, former vocalist Roy Khan of Kamelot , I think any of the bands I admire. As vocalists national bands , the third disc Fairy Beng be a collaboration, but can not reveal who it is, in the latest in Search of khristal Disk is collaboration Luvia Ovando of Neith, (ex vocalist Legion of Etherea , Exordum and Akkabal ) and Dan Death Valley , although that record I was not yet vocalist , I had the opportunity to perform live with Dan . Personally there are other singers of the national scene with whom I would work for example Brenda Gaviño El Cuervo de Poe , I think his singing does not try to imitate anyone else and I like that. I have also participated with Oscuriam band, recording some vocals for his album , it's a great band and good friends , some will surely live collaboration later.

 

 ¿What can you say about your current album, what was the best ?

 

The Fairy 's latest album is " In Search Of khristal " I think this is the best album , as the music is more complex and has a more symphonic style than the first . The goal is to improve with each album, are currently working on the composition of the third to take the name " Awakening to the Truth"

 

¿You wrote a song or a song you composed such music ?

 

No , I've been less than a year in the band , so the third disc is the first person who is engaged , so far I've only made ​​a few vocal lines . The composer of the band is Dany Beng , he does most of the songs and everyone goes about making contributions to his instrument .

 

 

¿Do you think about a woman in front of a microphone in Mexico ?

 

I think the national metal bands have slowly been growing , now there are many bands with female vocalist , both internationally and nationally. In Mexico there are good bands with great singers, but sometimes our own people are not given the chance to know them , I have seen great singers whom I admire and respect because now I realize all the work behind , not only be pretty on stage , there are many hours of work, study and testing . I have noticed that more and more girls on the scene, I think I have some years that has ceased to be a relevant factor , I mean, regardless of gender much talent, and we could say that there are more men in the female metal . Moreover it has become kind of " fashion " which of course comes from Europe , having a woman at the microphone and that seems like a lot of people now see many pages devoted just to women in metal, I think it's a proposal quite attractive to the public .

 

¿Any plan to do some video or solo?

 

No, currently Fairy Beng is my priority and requires a lot of dedication , has never been in my plans develop as a soloist , the dream of my life has been part of a project like this. If I had a side project would definitely not alone, chances are it would be a group of Celtic music .

Saludos amigos, esta semana si que hay muchas buenas noticias! Aquí les traigo a todo el mundo de habla hispana y para el mundo la banda Mexicana Hada de Beng! Con una cantante talentosísima y muy carismática! He aquí un poco de su biografia oficial

 

Hada de Beng es un sueño que comenzó a principios del 2001, en ese entonces con el nombre de “Bella” Dany Beng en la guitarra y composición, Draugr en la batería y Noé en el bajo, comenzaron a crear música con tintes de rock gótico. En el 2003 la banda cambia su nombre a “Hada de Beng”, nombre definitivo que refleja la esencia que ya se empezaba a solidificar, el sonido empieza a acercarse más al metal melódico, creando un concepto que va más allá de la música, algo propio y profundo que refleja a cada uno de sus integrantes. 

 

En 2008 “Empalador records” invita a la banda a participar en el acoplado de “Dinastía inmortal tercer acto” con la canción “a través del silencio” y posteriormente en “Dinastía inmortal cuarto acto” con “cacería de brujas”. Bajo el mismo sello discográfico, en julio de 2009 sale a la venta el primer álbum titulado “El canto de la hadas” con Dany Beng en la guitarra, Noé en el bajo, Draugr en la batería, Kimera en la voz, Sara en el sintetizador y Yescas en el corno Fránces. Empieza un nuevo viaje para Hada de Beng que rápidamente se abre paso en la escena nacional, teniendo oportunidad de tocar en grandes escenarios y festivales como: Rockstk y Metal Female Mexican voices, por mencionar algunos. A esa misma alineación se une Omar en la guitarra y se graba el segundo material: “En la busca de Khristal..” que sale a la venta en Abril de 2013. 

En la trayectoria de la banda han desfilado diferentes integrantes, todos ellos talentosos músicos y grandes amigos, pero ellos tuvieron que seguir su propio camino. Sin embargo la historia siempre continúa escribiéndose, llevando a Hada de Beng siempre por nuevos caminos y aventuras. Actualmente la alineación está conformada por Dany Beng (guitarra y composición) Draugr (batería) Noé (bajo) Esmeralda (voz) Sara (sintetizador) y Yescas (Corno fránces), que juntos continúan trabajando para llevar este cuento de hadas aún más lejos. Quien es Hada de Beng:

 

Hada de beng va más allá de la música que creamos, la música es más bien un vehículo que nos permite transmitir sentimientos, vivencias y una historia de búsqueda espiritual. Es un concepto expresado a través de una historia fantástica, en donde Beng tiene esclavizadas a las hadas de su reino, pero ellas se dan cuenta que han nacido para luchar y crear, descubren que existe mucho más fuera del reino de Beng, así que luchan por liberarse y salir en busca lo que han soñado, sin saber  lo que encontraran. El nombre de Beng es de origen gitano y significa demonio, en nuestra historia Beng es un personaje que simboliza todo aquello que nos oprime y que nos dificulta el camino hacia nuestros sueños.

 

Al mismo tiempo esta historia es una metáfora que representa vivencias de los integrantes y ex­-integrantes de la banda, retrata la trayectoria y la travesía que hemos pasado para alcanzar un objetivo común,  es así que la historia continuará escribiéndose a la par de nuestra música.

 

Los discos de Hada de Beng cuentan lo anterior a través de sus letras y melodías, pero será más comprensible hasta que demos a conocer esto a manera de cuento, esperamos que sea en un par de discos más. Estamos seguros que mucha gente podrá identificarse con lo que queremos transmitir a través de este concepto, que es mucho más que música.

 

¿Cuéntanos quien es Esmeralda porque este estilo musical?

 

Primero que nada soy un ser humano y como tal tengo muchas pasiones e intereses que hacen mi vida más activa y feliz. Las principales actividades en las que me ocupo son la música y la psicología. Soy cantante pero también soy licenciada en psicología social, trato de acomodar mis horarios para realizar estas dos actividades de manera profesional, las dos requieren mucha dedicación, constancia y estudio, pero el tiempo a veces es poco, así que si tuviera que elegir me dedicaría de lleno a la música.

El estilo musical, que en este caso es metal sinfónico, es un género que me llena, tengo mucho años escuchando metal sobretodo bandas con voz femenina y en Hada de Beng me siento muy cómoda con la música y la manera en que puedo desarrollar mi voz en ella.

 

¿Cuáles son tus hobbies?

 

Tengo muchos hobbies, hay veces que no tengo tiempo para todos, así que actualmente trato de darme el tiempo para jugar voleyball y me gusta hacer ejercicio así que voy casi todos los días al gimnasio. Me gusta mucho leer, sobretodo novelas históricas, me fascina la historia y las ciencias sociales en general, aunque no es mi profesión he tenido que estudiar autores de otras disciplinas para comprender muchas cosas durante mi carrera, así que por ende me gustan las películas y series que contengan hechos históricos. También me gusta todo lo que tenga que ver con la cultura celta (la música, la mitología, el lenguaje, etc.) Adoro salir a caminar al bosque, viajar y conocer lugares llenos de naturaleza, conocer gente de cualquier parte del mundo porque enriquece conocer un poco de su cultura.

 

 ¿Quienes son tus influencias musicales?

 

Admiro a muchos músicos y cantantes, no podría decir uno en específico que me haya influenciado, porque hay temporadas en las que escucho más de una sola banda que de otra o más de un cantante. En el metal creo que no hay cantante más completa que Floor Jansen, admiro la manera en la que se desenvuelve en el escenario y el control que tiene sobre su voz, puede cantar prácticamente lo que sea. Hace algunos años estuve muy influenciada por Sharon Den Adel, pero con el nuevo concepto de Within Temptation perdí el interés, también admiro a Lzzy Hale de Halestorm, y Sarah Squadrani de Ancient Bards. Cantantes de otros géneros escucho mucho a Josh Groban, Emma Shaplin y el grupo Celtic Woman. Las bandas que más escucho son Nightwish, Within Temptation, Kamelot, Rhapsody, Ancient Bards, Epica, Myrath, Dark Moor, Halestorm, Luca Turilli’s Rhapsody,etc. Una de mis principales influencias en cuanto género musical es definitivamente la música celta, y cuando se fusiona con el metal, me parece una combinación perfecta, el folk metal es mi subgénero favorito. Por otro lado me gusta la música experimental en la que se mezclan diversos géneros, las propuestas que van más allá de lo común siempre resultan muy atractivas.

 

¿Como ha sido tu desarrollo dentro y fuera del escenario, eres seria o directa?

 

Llevo en Hada de Beng menos de un año, pero he tenido que acostumbrarme a los escenarios rápidamente, ya que la banda tiene cierta trayectoria y posición dentro de la escena nacional. Debo decir que me siento mucho más cómoda cantando en un ambiente metalero que en un recital de opera o teatro musical, me siento más libre y extrañamente siento menos nervios frente a mucha gente que frente a unos cuantos. Al estar en el escenario me gusta pensar en la letra de las canciones y en la parte de la historia que representa para tratar de transmitir lo que representa para nosotros, así que la interpretación debe darse de manera natural.

Fuera del escenario procuro dedicar más tiempo que antes a estudiar música, ya que anteriormente no lo hacía de manera profesional, aunque llevo varios años tomando clases de canto y toda mi vida he cantado, hasta ahora me he enfocado más en ello.

 

¿Que les dices a tus fans? ¿Qué les digo a mis fans?

 

En una pregunta extraña jaja no considero a la gente que se acerca a tomarse una foto o hacerme un cumplido como fan, todavía no me acostumbro al concepto, pero se agradece mucho que la gente admire y reconozca tu trabajo, sobre todo cuando eres nueva en una banda, creo que en ese aspecto me ha ido bastante bien.

 

¿Te gustaría hacer algún duo con algún o alguna vocalista?

 

¿A quién no le gustaría cantar a lado de alguien que admira? De las bandas internacionales por supuesto que me gustaría un duo con Floor Jansen, Alessandro Conti de Luca Turilli’s Rhapsody, Roy Khan ex vocalista de Kamelot, creo con cualquiera de las bandas a las que admiro. En cuanto a vocalistas de bandas nacionales, en el tercer disco de Hada de Beng habrá una colaboración, pero aún no podemos revelar de quien se trata, en el disco más reciente en la Busca de Khristal hay colaboración de Luvia Ovando de Neith, (ex vocalista de Legion of Etherea, Exordum y Akkabal) y Dan de Valle de la Muerte, aunque en ese disco yo aún no era vocalista de la banda, tuve la oportunidad de cantar en vivo con Dan. Personalmente hay otros cantantes de la escena nacional con los que me gustaría trabajar por ejemplo Brenda Gaviño de El Cuervo de Poe, me parece que su forma de cantar no intenta imitar a nadie más y eso me gusta. También he participado con la banda Oscuriam, grabando algunos coros para su disco, es una excelente banda y buenos amigos, seguramente se hará alguna colaboración en vivo más adelante.

 

¿Que nos puedes decir de su álbum actual, cuál ha sido el mejor?

 

El álbum más reciente de Hada es “En la busca De Khristal” creo que este es el mejor álbum, ya que la música es más compleja y tiene un estilo más sinfónico que el primero. El objetivo es ir mejorando con cada disco, actualmente estamos trabajando en la composición del tercero que llevara por nombre “Despertando a la verdad”

 

¿Escribiste alguna canción o compusiste alguna canción de estos álbum?

 

No, llevo menos de un año en la banda, así que el tercer disco es el primero en el que participare, hasta ahora solo he aportado algunas líneas vocales. El compositor de la banda es Dany Beng, el hace la mayor parte de las canciones y cada quien va haciendo aportes con respecto a su instrumento.

 

¿Qué opinión tienes de una mujer frente de un micrófono en México?

 

Creo que las bandas nacionales de metal poco a poco han ido creciendo, actualmente hay muchísimas bandas con vocalista femenina, tanto a nivel internacional como nacional. En México hay buenas bandas con excelentes cantantes, pero muchas veces nuestra propia gente no se da la oportunidad de conocerlas, he visto excelentes cantantes a las cuales admiro y respeto porque ahora me doy cuenta de todo el trabajo que hay detrás, no es solo verse bonita en el escenario, son muchas horas de trabajo, estudio y ensayo. He observado que cada vez hay más chicas en la escena, creo que ya tiene algunos años que eso ha dejado de ser un factor relevante, me refiero a que sin importar el género hay mucho talento, ya no podríamos decir que hay más hombres en el metal que mujeres. Por otra parte se ha vuelto especie de “moda” que por supuesto viene desde Europa, el tener una mujer frente al micrófono y eso parece gustar a mucha gente, actualmente vemos muchas páginas dedicadas solo a mujeres en el metal, creo que es una propuesta bastante atractiva para el público.

 

¿Tienes algún plan para hacer algún video o un trabajo en solitario?

 

No, actualmente Hada de Beng es mi prioridad y requiere mucha dedicación, nunca ha estado en mis planes desarrollarme como solista, el sueño de toda mi vida ha sido formar parte de un proyecto como este. Si tuviera algún proyecto alterno definitivamente no sería en solitario, lo más probable es que sería un grupo de música celta.
