Official Bio

 

SECRET RULE was formed at the beginning of 2014 with the intention to create a special sound with powerful rhythms and catchy melodies. During these six years, the group conquered its space in the metal scene.

 

The band is fronted by the powerful and crystal clear vocals of Angela Di Vincenzo, masterminded by lead guitarist Andy Menario, with accurate bass playing of Michele Raspanti and the powerful drumming of Alex Beccati. Secret Rule on stage is a bomb of energy, a mix of heavy guitar riffs, with electronic elements and incredible keyboard lines.

 

The band released four albums:  “Transposed Emotions” (2015), “Machination” (2016), “The key to the world” (2017) and "The 7 Endless" (2019), and built a solid fan base supported by their live activity and featured special guests like Aylin (Sirenia), Stefan Helleblad (Within Temptation), Henrik Klingenberg (Sonata Arctica), Timo Somers (Delain), Sander Zoer (Delain, Leah), Henning Basse (Mayan, Firewind).

 

SECRET RULE played a lot of shows all over Europe, including headlining European tours, sharing the stage with great bands such as Delain, Beyond the Black, Xandria, Serenity, Kobra & the Lotus, Blaze Bayley, Visions of Atlantis and Cellar Darling and performing festivals including the Barcia Metal Fest, the Wings of BEA, the Metal Fest Event - Femme, the 9° Camorock, Festo Die Hydria.

 

“Against” now is their fifth studio album which will be released on February 21st, 2020 on Pride & Joy Music. In April 2020, the Italian Heavy Metal band will support Brazilian Melodic Death Metal SEMBLANT on their European tour at the following dates:

Spira Mirabilis

 

Entrance totally environmental and dark, with power later with the powerful voice of Angela! Powerful and fast guitars, a heavy and melodic chord! Strong symphonic metal!

 

Shades Of Humanity

 

I love that entry with an electronic effect and later with powerful guitars and an equally dense drums, a combination of male voices with Angela's melodic and beautiful voice, an excellent heavy, melodic song with an interesting mix of sounds like a strong bass.

 

Rise Again

 

The musical input is great! Symphony in this case that open the way to the powerful blunt of guitars / drums, an even more energetic and strong song! The combination of loud voices and Angela's voice gives excellent contrast.

 

Going Nowhere

 

Totally a very different entry, with longer and slower musical notes, a bit darker and more melancholic this song, with a greater sentimental load is a super song, an excellent riff!

 

Digital Revolution

 

Change of style and sound! We return with the rudeness and heaviness of the beginning of the album, fast and forceful chords, a fast song and with more energy! An excellent riff very remarkable.

 

Endless Promises

 

Woow! Excellent entry, even heavier and faster, and suddenly it is coupled to Angela's voice with a lighter and softer sound, but with fast and heavy tempos, which go hand in hand with Angela's beautiful voice.

 

Purgatory

 

An extraterrestrial entrance! But marking the step towards a heavy sound! Which takes us in the company of Angela's voice that pauses when singing more clearly and cleanly, Angela's record is phenomenal and the male voice choirs give her even the toughest touch, a more demonic and harsh sound !

 

Against

 

Excellent entry with blunt drums and marking the step, immediately we captivate Angela's voice more seductive and direct, high notes and chords in bass notes.

 

Deep Solitude

 

Sounds of keyboards open the pattern with a blunt drummer and with greater presence in this song, melodic and more relaxed rhythm, there are excellent combinations between the voice and the musical part.

 

Outsiders

 

A song with a deep and deep chorus, returning with the same strength and power as at the beginning of the album! A song a very fast time and rhythm, in all the songs there is a powerful riff that gives climates to each very sophisticated song.

 

My Last Breath

 

We start with a melancholic riff but its duration is short, then the guitar and drums explode a bit but it collapses in Angela's beautiful voice, here we find an explosion of very spectacular sounds and changes, with a bit of alternative Rock and Metal perhaps! It can be an almost ballad that we can identify.

 

Don’t Let Me Fade

 

And closing all this accumulation of emotions and electronic / symphonic sounds with some super lines of keyboards, we leave this last song fast and with the forcefulness that they showed us at the beginning of the album! With a combination of heavy guitar riff and an energetic and strong battery!

My Recommendation

 

Against is an excellent Modern Symphonic Metal album which gives us songs with a dark style, with fast, heavy, forceful, energetic, romantic, and direct musical notes! Loaded with Emotions, this album is an energy concentrate, with many heavy riffs, catchy vocal melodies carried by Angela's beautiful voice with many electronic elements and very modern keyboard lines!

 

The music of this fifth album by the band is more mature, heavy and catchy! With accessible melodies. I could say a little about the comparison with the Resist album of Within Temptation and some fast musical elements of a Modern Thrash!

 

The Voice

 

Angela's voice since I've heard her previous albums is great! Its record is clear, soft and of acute timbre, throughout the album it releases energy, without losing strength and in the changes of scale and musical rhythm her voice gives a lot of strength to each song.

SECRET RULE se formó a principios de 2014 con la intención de crear un sonido especial con ritmos potentes y melodías pegadizas. Durante estos seis años, el grupo conquistó su espacio en la escena del metal.

 

La banda está liderada por la voz potente y cristalina de Angela Di Vincenzo, ideada por el guitarrista principal Andy Menario, con un sonido de bajo preciso de Michele Raspanti y la potente batería de Alex Beccati. Spira Mirabilis

 

Entrada totalmente ambiental y oscura, con potencia posteriormente con la potente voz de Ángela! Guitarras poderosas y rápidas, un acorde pesado y melódico! Metal Sinfónico fuerte!

 

Shades Of Humanity

 

Me encanta esa entrada con efecto electrónico y posteriormente con potentes guitarras y una batería igual de densa, combinación de voces masculinas junto a la melódica y bella voz de Ángela, una excelente canción pesada, melódica y con una mezcla interesante de sonidos como un fuerte bajo.

 

Rise Again

 

Las entradas son geniales! Sinfónica en este caso que abren el paso a la potente contundencia de guitarras/batería, una canción aún más enérgica y fuerte! La combinación de voces fuertes y la voz de Ángela da un excelente contraste.

 

Going Nowhere

 

Totalmente una entrada muy diferente, con notas musicales más largas y lentas, un poco más oscura y melancólica esta canción, con mayor carga sentimental está súper canción, un riff excelente!

 

Digital Revolution

 

Cambio de estilo y sonido! Volvemos con la rudeza y pesadez del inicio del albúm, acordes rápidos y contundentes, una canción rápida y con mayor energía! Un excelente riff muy notable.

 

Endless Promises

 

Woow! Excelente entrada, aún más pesada y rápida, y de repente se acopla a la voz de Angela con un sonido más claro y suave, pero con tempos rápidos y pesados, que van de la mano con la bella voz de Ángela.

 

Purgatory

 

Una entrada extraterrestre! Pero marcando el paso hacia un sonido pesado! La cual nos lleva en la compañía de la voz de Angela que se pausa al cantar más claro y limpio, el registro de Angela es fenomenal y los coros de la voz masculina le da aún más el toque más rudo, un sonido más demoníaco y duro!

 

Against

 

Excelente entrada con batería contundente y marcando el paso, inmediatamente nos cautiva la voz de Angela más seductora y directa, notas altas y acordes en notas graves.

 

Deep Solitude

 

Sonidos de teclados nos abren la pauta con una batería contundente y con mayor presencia en esta canción, ritmo melódico y más relajado, hay excelentes combinaciones entre la voz y la parte musical.

 

Outsiders

 

Una canción con un coro de fondo y profundo, volviendo con la misma fuerza y potencia que al principio del albúm! Una canción un tiempo y ritmo muy rápidos, en todas las canciones hay potente riff que le da un climas a cada canción muy sofisticado.

 

My Last Breath

 

Iniciamos con un riff melancólico pero su duración es breve, después explota un poco la guitarra y batería pero colapsa en la bella voz de Angela, aquí encontramos una explosión de sonidos y cambios muy espectaculares, con un poco de Rock y Metal alternativo quizás! Puede ser una casi balada la que podemos identificar.

 

Don’t Let Me Fade

 

Y cerrando todo este cumulo de emociones y sonidos electrónicos/sinfónicos con unas súper líneas de teclados, nos deja esta última canción rápida y con la contundencia que nos mostraron al inicio del albúm! Con un combinado de riff de pesadas guitarras y una batería enérgica y fuerte!

 

Mi Recomendación

 

Against es un excelente álbum Moderno de Symphonic Metal el cual nos da canciones con un estilo oscuro, con notas musicales rápidas, pesadas, contundentes, enérgicas, románticas y directas! Cargadas de Emociones, este albúm es un concentrado de energía, con muchos riffs pesados, melodías vocales pegadizas llevadas por la bella voz de Angela con bastantes elementos electrónicos y líneas de teclado muy modernos!

 

La música de este quinto albúm de la banda es más madura, pesada y pegadiza! Con melodías accesibles. Podría decir un poco con la comparación del albúm de Resist de Within Temptation y un poco de elementos musicales rápidos de un Thrash Moderno!

 

La Voz

 

La voz de Angela desde que he escuchado sus anteriores álbumes es grandiosa! Su registro es claro, suave y de timbre agudo, en todo el albúm desprende energía, sin perder fuerza y en los cambios de escala y ritmo musical la voz de ella le da mucha fuerza a cada canción.
