Anette Olzon (Anette Olsson Ingegerd) Swedish singer, born June 21, 1971 in Katrinholm, ex former lead singer of Nightwish and Alyson Avenue. Besides being a mother of three children, Seth, Nemo and Mio

 

She joined first in a band at age 17, a group of covers called "Take Cover", where his teammates were bigger than her.

 

She took singing lessons at the Conservatory of Music in Copenhagen in Helsingor, Denmark with a private teacher. Today, when you need it, take lessons from a private teacher at the Malmö Music University and also uses the book and CD of vocal coach Cathrine Sadolin.

 

She has recorded some duets, including: Michael Bormann (ex-Jaded Heart singer) on his album "Conspiracy" with the band Brother Firetribe filandesa with the Swedish band Pain, and recently with The Rasmus.

 

Anette officially joined as the new vocalist for Nightwish in May 2007, chosen from about 2,000 applicants.

 

The October 1, 2012 is disclosed separation Anette Olzon of Nightwish by a press release in which they state that the separation was by mutual agreement.

How you been? you've done all this time?

 

Hi! I´ve been just fine, thank you.

 

First of all, congratulations on Shine. It's a really interesting release! beautiful voice! you hear so perfect! such has been the acceptance of the album?

 

- I haven't seen any sales yet so I don't know but reviews have been really good and the fans response have been really good.

 

 

Tell us a little about the recording of this great album? had problems in producing it?

 

- No, it was a very easy process. We wrote the songs in 2009 in some intense weeks and then me and Stefan Örn and his team produced it and mixed it last autumn.

 

 

Which was the main idea behind this album? who were the producers or collaborators

 

- I made this album while I was still in Nightwish and therefore I didn't want it to be a metal album at all, since I didn't want to compete with my own band. Then when we were gonna release it I did some more songs but these 10 were to good to not release and therefore this album is a bit more pop-rock than what I´ve done before. I produced it together with Stefan Örn and we had some great mixing guys to mix the album such as Nicklas Flykt (Robin).

 

What are your inspirations for writing the lyrics?

 

- My life and life in general mostly.

 

The cover of your album is amazing! I loved it! you look free, renewed! That is actually what you trasmites us?

 

- Thanks=) Yes, I wanted a "light" and bright cover. No dark clothes, all white and uplifting since SHINE is about HOPE, LOVE and looking ahead.

 

The official video for 'Lies', is excellent, you look cheerful! your beautiful voice! I see more satisfied! something that is yours, it was hard to record there?

 

- Lies is such a great song for me. The lyrics are about when a long relationship ends and how hard that can be, how you promised each other something in the beginning that suddenly were just LIES. For me, it was a way of getting the feelings out from my divorce and it´s one of my absolute favorite songs to sing.

 

There will be some other video clip of your album?

 

- No, I don't think so. I´ve asked my record label but they have no such plans sadly.

 

There will be a second album? or you have plans to join another band?

 

- I want to do another album so for sure! A band can be something if its the right one =)

A question my dear friend, or hearing people tend to label a person, as some other ex singers of leaders groups or bands for you is difficult to be 'ex-Nightwish'?

 

 

- It´s always harder to be a solo artist after having been in such a big band since people tend to place you in a label and for me, doing music that is different from Nightwish, of course its a bit hard to get fans from the band to open up to my music.

 

What do you think of the comparison tha- t makes the fans? I personally do not think that's ethical

 

- I understand it, I do. Even if people say exchanging a singer isn't a big thing, I think it is when it changes the sound of a band. And Tarja and me were so different in styles so of course fans of what was Nightwish the first years will react. Then to hate the new singer for a band´s decisions is something I cannot understand and that´s where I find the problem is. Stop hating, move on and listen to the albums you loved, no matter what era it was.

- More gigs and some festivals I hope =)

Anette Olzon (Anette Ingegerd Olsson) cantante sueca, nacida el 21 de junio de 1971 en Katrinholm, exvocalista de Nightwish y de Alyson Avenue. Además de ser madre de tres niños, Seth, Nemo y Mio.

 

Se unió por primera vez a una banda a los 17 años, un grupo de covers llamado “Take Cover”, donde todos sus compañeros eran más grandes que ella.

 

Tomó clases de canto en el Conservatorio de Música de Copenhague en Helsingor, Dinamarca con un profesor privado. Hoy en día, cuando lo necesita, toma clases con un profesor privado en la Universidad de Música Malmö y también utiliza el libro y CD del entrenador vocal Cathrine Sadolin.

 

Ha grabado algunos duetos, entre ellos: con Michael Bormann (ex-cantante de Jaded Heart) en su álbum “Conspiracy”, con la banda filandesa Brother Firetribe, con la banda sueca Pain, y recientemente con The Rasmus.

 

Anette se unió oficialmente como la nueva vocalista de Nightwish en mayo del 2007, escogida entre aproximadamente 2.000 solicitantes.

 

El 01 de octubre de 2012 se da a conocer la separación de Anette Olzon de Nightwish mediante un comunicado de prensa, en el cual declaran que la separación fue por mutuo acuerdo.

Es un placer saber de ti nuevamente. Como has estado? Que has hecho todo este tiempo?

 

He estado muy bien, gracias.

 

Primero que nada quiero felicitarte por "Shine". Es un lanzamiento sumamente interesante, tienes una hermosa voz. Dime, cual ha sido la aceptación de este álbum?

 

No he visto aun como van las ventas pero las reseñas han sido muy buenas y la respuesta de los fans ha sido excelente.

 

Cuéntanos un poco de cómo fue la grabación de este álbum. Tuvieron problemas para producirlo?

 

No para nada, fue un proceso bastante sencillo. Escribimos las canciones en 2009, fueron semanas intensas pero después Stefan Orn y su equipo lo produjeron el pasado otoño.

 

Cual fue la idea principal de este álbum? Quienes colaboraron y quienes lo produjeron?

 

Hice este álbum mientras aún estaba en Nightwish, por lo tanto no quería que fuera un álbum de metal. No quería competir con mi propia banda.

 

Luego, cuando ya íbamos a lanzarlo, hice 10 canciones más y fueron tan buenas que teníamos que incluirlas.

 

Este álbum es un poco más pop-rock a comparación de todo lo que he hecho antes. Lo produjo junto con Stefan Orn y tuvimos excelentes encargados de mezcla, como Nicklas Flykt (Robin).

 

En que te inspiras para escribir las letras?

 

Mi vida, la vida en general!.

 

La portada del álbum es sorprendente! me encantó! Luces renovada y libre. Que es lo que quieres transmitirnos?

 

Gracias, quería una portada brillante y ligera. Nada de ropa oscura, todo blanco y reconfortante.

Este disco se trata de esperanza, amor y de mirar hacia delante.

 

El video oficial para "Lies" es excelente, luces alegre! y más satisfecha! fue difícil grabarlo?

 

"Lies" es una de mis canciones favoritas, la letra es sobre cuando una relación larga termina y sobre lo difícil que puede ser, la manera en que se prometen cosas al principio y terminan siendo mentiras.

Para mí, fue una manera de expresar mis sentimientos, sacarlos de mi interior, hablar de mi divorcio y sin duda es una de mis favoritas.

 

Habrá algún nuevo video para el álbum?

 

No lo creo, he preguntado a mi disquera pero tristemente no tienen planes para uno nuevo.

 

Habrá un segundo álbum? o tienes planes de unirte a otra banda?

 

Seguro habrá un nuevo álbum, unirme a una banda podría ser una opción dependiendo de si es la indicada.

 

Dime sobre esta tendencia de etiquetar a las personas, es difícil ser ex integrante de una banda como Nightwish?

 

Siempre es difícil volverse solista luego de haber estado en una banda tan grande, la gente te etiqueta y tiene un concepto de ti, pero ahora hago música muy diferente a Nightwish.

Lo más difícil es conseguir fans que vienen de conocer a la ex banda a la que perteneces y ahora la gente necesita abrir su mente a nuevas propuestas musicales.

 

Qué opinas de las comparaciones que hacen los fans? personalmente me parece poco ético.

 

Lo entiendo en verdad, incluso si la gente dice que cambiar de cantante no es la gran cosa pero yo opino que si lo es, más si cambia el sonido de la banda.

 

Tarja y yo éramos muy diferentes en estilo y por supuesto que los fans de lo que era Nightwish antiguamente, iban a reaccionar con el cambio.

 

Pero hay gente que odia a los nuevos vocalistas, es algo que no entiendo y es en donde encuentro el problema. Dejen de odiar, escuchen los álbumes que les gusten, no importa de que era son.

 

Que planes hay para el siguiente año?

 

Mas giras y algunos festivales, eso espero! :)
