Official Info

 

Signum Draconis takes their name from the medieval knights' Order of the Dragon, and has opted for a classic 80s-influenced metal sound in homage to the rock and metal icons that inspired them to be musicians, and aim to produce a truly musical, timeless and epic recording that will absorb and reward from repeated and dedicated listening.

Guitarist and composer Oscar Grace reflects on the history of the project:

​

"The story of Signum Draconis can be said to begin in 2010, after two years crossing what felt like a personal hell, I was sitting in my car gazing at the sky when a message came to me as it were, a vision clear as day: ‘Put The Divine Comedy to music!’ At that moment Signum Draconis was born. I returned home immediately and hunted out an old copy of Dante’s masterpiece I had owned for years and began furiously reading. Two full years of study and research followed, reading and re-reading all three books many times and even traveling to Florence to visit the 13th Century poet’s own house, trying to envisage what it would have been like to be him and the world in which he lived his story."

We get closer to our destination sooner, hellish, dark, strong setting, with a stronger, more evil and powerful atmosphere, heavy and powerful chords, combining powerful voices and heavier rhythms.

My Recomendation

​

An album with a great concept and in a beautiful work with strong chords, very melodic and acoustic solos, you can totally feel the changes of tempos and scales in a phenomenal way, operatic voices with high registers that contrast with a strong, melodic melody and explosive with power metal! Quite a lot of rough and strong distortion riffs on many of the tracks, powerful guitar solos with a heavy, melodic and very operatic tone. As in Burning Graves, enough gloomy and fantastic settings and atmospheres that give it that more theatrical touch, Epic / Symphonic / Opera Metal. 'Inferno, The Divine Comedy', is a musical interpretation of one of Dante Alighieri's works divided into seventeen themes where a lot of attention, musical structure and a lot of dynamism is achieved. For lovers of metal operas it is a great set of songs that honor such a majestic work of world literature.

Signum Draconis toma su nombre de la Orden del Dragón de los caballeros medievales, y ha optado por un sonido de metal clásico con influencia de los 80 en homenaje a los íconos del rock y el metal que los inspiraron a ser músicos, y tienen como objetivo producir un sonido verdaderamente musical y atemporal. y una grabación épica que absorberá y recompensará la escucha repetida y dedicada.

El guitarrista y compositor Oscar Grace reflexiona sobre la historia del proyecto:

"Se puede decir que la historia de Signum Draconis comenzó en 2010, después de dos años cruzando lo que se sentía como un infierno personal, estaba sentado en mi auto mirando al cielo cuando me llegó un mensaje por así decirlo, una visión clara como el día". : '¡Ponle música a La Divina Comedia!' En ese momento nació Signum Draconis. Regresé a casa de inmediato y busqué una copia antigua de la obra maestra de Dante que había tenido durante años y comencé a leer con furia. Siguieron dos años completos de estudio e investigación, leyendo y releyendo los tres libros muchas veces e incluso viajando a Florencia para visitar la propia casa del poeta del siglo XIII, tratando de imaginar cómo habría sido ser él y el mundo en el que vivió su historia ".

​

Nos acercamos más pronto hacia nuestro destino, ambientación infernal, oscura, fuerte, con un ambiente más fuerte, maligno y poderoso, acordes pesados y potentes, combinando poderosas voces y ritmos más pesados.

​

Cocytus (The Ice Terror)

​

¡Llegamos hacia el Infierno Helado! Acústica desoladora, coros fantasmales de fondo en una sola línea y ritmo combinan soledad y desesperanza, posteriormente acordes potentes, riffs y solos demoledores con altas y bajas escalas con una gran frivolidad escalonada.

Lucifer

​

Finalmente llegamos con el amo del inframundo, con una entrada acústica de violín lúgubre, aguda, fúnebre y desoladora gótica genial, voces y coros se unen con fervor y potencia ante la entrada final con acordes explosivos, ásperos y duros constantes, aunque tiene un estribillo algo conocido que nos recuerda a unos grandes compositores Austriaco y Alemán cerca del final antes de la narrativa final en italiano.

Mi Recomendación

​

Un álbum con un gran concepto y en una bella obra con acordes fuertes, solos muy melódicos y acústicos, totalmente se puede sentir los cambios de tempos y escalas de manera fenomenal, voces operísticas con registros altos que hacen contraste con una melodía fuerte, melódica y explosiva con power metal!  Bastantes riffs distorsionantes ásperos y fuertes en muchas de las pistas, solos de guitarra poderosos con un tono pesado, melódico y muy operístico. Como en Burning Graves, bastantes ambientaciones y atmosferas lúgubres y fantásticas que le dan ese toque más teatral, Epic/Symphonic/Opera Metal. 'Inferno, The Divine Comedy', es una interpretación musical de una de las obras de Dante Alighieri dividida en diecisiete temas donde se consigue mucha atención, estructura musical y mucho dinamismo. Para los amantes de las óperas de metal es un gran conjunto de canciones que honran tan majestuosa obra de la literatura mundial.
