Official Info

 

Symphonic metal act StormbounD is an astonishing combination of well-crafted instrumentalism and the breath-taking vocals of lead singer Yael Horwitz. The band is the musical theater you must visit, which will carry you everywhere from the angelic to the diabolic, from joyous harmony to sheer loneliness, and from the beauty to the beast.

The band was formed in 2018 in Tel-Aviv, Israel by bassist Pavel Kleiman and guitarist and vocalist Ofer Friedman. Next to join were Ofer's wife Shani Friedman on guitar, Yuval Partush on drums, Rotem Sadia on the keyboard, and Yael Horwitz as lead singer. All members of the band are well-established professional musicians.

​

Shortly after its formation the group began writing and performing and made a unique mark in the local heavy music scene. During the last year, the band took part in all major metal events and festivals in Israel and its upcoming show will soon be sold out.

​

The band has released two singles /videos so far "Desert's Roar" and "Altar of Innocence".

Desert's Roar

 

The album starts with an elegant modern symphonic intro, the guitar chords pick up the pace in a short time, it has heavy riffs and the orchestral arrangements are more than great with this intro with both male and female voices.

 

Altar of Innocence

 

We have a symphonic introduction and short background narrative, strong heavy chords with guitar riffs with that dark and melodic atmosphere, it has interesting tempo changes and rhythms, a bit of notable progressive style combining clean vocals and a bit in the guttural range.

 

Sacred Lies

 

It starts with a fast, speedy sound familiar to many within heavy metal, the chords kick into action with a thrash metal oriented style of riffing.

 

Away from Here

 

We have a soft start with slow piano and a beautiful vocal part from Yael, later we go to the heavy rhythm in the line of guitars oriented with a bit of Heavy metal, it has rhythm and tempo changes with interesting guitar solos.

 

December

 

It starts with an orchestra on a player piano led by the keyboards which later with guitars and heavy riffs give the song a melodic and catchy style! Yael's beautiful voice according to the rhythm and melody that they leave us.

 

Shadows

 

We have a beautiful start with a beautiful ballad composed of background orchestral arrangements and Yael's beautiful voice, like any song of this type we can listen and enjoy the talent and vocal range.

 

Flying High

 

Interesting musical start with additions of several different influences, such as Irish folk that we can hear and even modern symphonic metal and with more power than traditional and with a bit of power metal elements where harmony and melody are present.

 

Fragments

 

We have another different middle eastern styled song within the musical opening but the guitar line comes into action with the heavy and dark chords with harsh male vocals, the choruses with epic melodies and female vocals.

 

Child's Play

 

And closing with children's voices with an instrumental part, which later with powerful guitar riffs makes it present with heaviness and forcefulness.

My Recomendation

​

The album "December" is a modern album, with a structure that combines a bit of other musical styles such as Folk, Power, Progressive and even a bit of Thrash metal, with the base of symphonic metal, the band is within the status of Modern Symphonic Metal bands with their own varied style, I think it would be like a Symphonic Modern Metal, due to the electronic elements, sound and structure, without depending much on the symphonic or orchestral part, with a unique way of shaping them and coupling them to its music, the songs are complex and at the same time simple, which can sometimes be a bit disorienting, but nevertheless it is a good album! With fresh and musically strong elements!

The Voice

​

Yael's beautiful voice is high register, soft, sharp and light, the heavy and low chords make a good contrast with her voice and Ofer's voice also make a good combination.

El acto de metal sinfónico StormbounD es una combinación asombrosa de instrumentalismo bien elaborado y la voz impresionante de la cantante principal Yael Horwitz. La banda es el teatro musical que debes visitar, que te llevará a todas partes, desde lo angelical a lo diabólico, desde la alegre armonía a la pura soledad, y desde la bella a la bestia.

 

La banda se formó en 2018 en Tel-Aviv, Israel, por el bajista Pavel Kleiman y el guitarrista y vocalista Ofer Friedman. Los siguientes en unirse fueron la esposa de Ofer, Shani Friedman, a la guitarra, Yuval Partush a la batería, Rotem Sadia al teclado y Yael Horwitz como cantante principal. Todos los miembros de la banda son músicos profesionales bien establecidos.

 

Poco después de su formación, el grupo comenzó a escribir y actuar e hizo una marca única en la escena de la música pesada local. El albúm comienza con una elegante introducción sinfónica moderna, los acordes de las guitarras toman el ritmo en breve tiempo, tiene riffs pesados y los arreglos orquestales están más que geniales con esta introducción con ambas voces femeninas y masculinas.

 

Altar of Innocence

 

Tenemos una introducción sinfónica y con narrativa de fondo breve, acordes pesados y fuertes con riffs de guitarra con esa atmosfera oscura y melodica, tiene cambios de tempos y ritmos interesantes, un poco de estilo progresivo notable combinando voces limpias y un poco en el rango gutural

 

Sacred Lies

 

comienza con un sonido rápido, veloz, familiar para muchos dentro del metal pesado, los acordes entran en acción con un estilo de riffs orientados en el Thrash metal.

 

Away from Here

 

Tenemos un inicio suave con piano lento y una parte vocal bella de Yael, posteriormente pasamos al ritmo pesado en la línea de guitarras orientadas con un poco dentro del Heavy metal, tiene cambios de ritmo y tempo con solos de guitarra interesantes.

 

December

 

Comienza con una orquesta en una pianola dirigida por los teclados que después con guitarras y riffs pesados dan a la canción un estilo melódico y pegadizo! La bella voz de Yael acorde con el ritmo y melodía que nos dejan.

 

Shadows

 

Tenemos un bello inicio con una hermosa balada compuesta por los arreglos orquestales de fondo y la hermosa voz de Yael, como toda canción de este tipo podemos escuchar y disfrutar el talento y rango vocal.

 

Flying High

 

Interesante inicio musical con incorporaciones de varias influencias diferentes, como con el folk irlandés que podemos escuchar y hasta el metal sinfónico moderno y con mayor potencia que el tradicional y con un poco de elementos de power metal donde la armonía y melodica están presentes.

 

Fragments

 

Tenemos otra canción diferente con estilo del medio oriente dentro del inicio musical pero la línea de guitarras entra en acción con los acordes pesados y oscuros con voces masculinas ásperas, los coros con melodías épicas y de voces femeninas.

 

Child's Play

 

Y cerrando con voces de niños con una parte instrumental, que después con poderosos riffs de guitarra hace presente con pesadez y contundencia.

Mi Recomendación

 

El álbum “December” es un álbum moderno, con una estructura que combina un poco de otros estilos musicales como el Folk, Power, Progresivo y hasta un poco de Thrash metal, con la base de metal sinfónico, la banda está dentro del estatus de bandas de Metal Sinfónico Modernas con un estilo propio y variado, creo que sería como un Symphonic Modern Metal, por los elementos electrónicos, sonido y estructura, sin depender mucho de la parte sinfónica u orquestal, con una forma única de darles forma y acoplándolas a su música, las canciones son complejas y a su vez sencillas, lo que a veces puede desorientar un poco, sin embargo es un buen álbum! Con elementos frescos y fuertes musicalmente!

 

La Voz

 

La bella voz de Yael es de registro alto, suave, agudo y ligero, los acordes pesados y graves hacen buen contraste con su voz y la voz también de Ofer hacen buena combinación.
