Lyria is a symphonic metal band from Brazil. Founded by mezzo soprano Aline Happ in 2012. Two years later, the debut album "Catharsis" was released.

 

The songs are melodic and harmonious, Aline sings to us in low tones. With good arrangements, guitar solos well integrated in each song. The guitar riffs exalt Aline's voice powerfully and with very well made ballads.

Follow The Music

 

I like the Atmospheric entrance of the album, a whole choral ensemble accompanied by a strong and forceful music, guitars and drums, quiet and deep, the beautiful voice of Aline gives a dramatic touch and that guitar solo overwhelming.

 

Get What You Want

 

That heavy guitars and then soft to concentrate on the voice of Aline, I like the set of the male voice making a stronger background with the voice of Aline, together with a dense and deep atmosphere, something quick after the song!

 

Let Me Be Me

All a different song, softer and a little clearer in the voice of Aline, heavy and slow next to the male voice that accompanies Aline, could be said to be the ballad within the Immersion album.

 

The Rain

 

Dense and heavy the entrance of this song, I like the note worked on these songs of the album, strong, low and heavy, the contrast with the voice of Aline fits perfectly within the musical and vocal record of it.

 

Give You Just A Minute

 

A heavy entrance with drama! I like this atmosphere inside the album, as the song says just give me a minute, slow and forceful the song.

 

Best Of Me

 

You can hear a sound like bagpipes! Well a more melodic and harmonious entry, a little faster, which we can appreciate that the same voice of Aline increases in register a bit and speed, a good change within the album.

 

Last Forever

 

A clearer and cleaner song with the unique sound of Aline's voice, another emotional ballad with a more melancholic and nostalgic atmosphere.

 

Hard To Believe

 

This song is one of my favorites inside the album, heavier and darker guitars, the voice of Aline changes a bit, when the guitars give that continuous and heavy grinding! Without losing the dramatic part that distinguishes this album.

 

Something Is Rotten

 

A different initial touch! A softer song in the voice of Aline, forceful and continuous, what I like that the whole album is the song does not lose that heaviness and folk shown so far.

 

Ashes Of My Fears

 

A battery and hardened and heavier guitars! An energetic entrance, the track is quiet and with more character which you can hear the guttural background very well executed, the beautiful voice of Aline without losing clarity.

 

 

Run To You

 

Totally a very different ending, the acoustic song in this sense in which we can appreciate the voice with the range, tessitura and register in all the splendor of Aline, a song a bit romantic and very emotional, a good surprise within the album.

 

My Recomendation

 

It is an album completely surprising, dramatic, dark and smooth at the same time, it has well executed the tempos and low notes that make an excellent contrast with the voice of Aline, it is continuous but without losing the style of each song, it has a lot of emotional charge that we can listen in each track, in the musical technique the guitars and drums take all the credit, heavy and without losing scales and without taking away the attention to the voice of Aline which is heard with total clarity and together with background choirs or well executed gutturals.

 

An album whose name says it all 'Immersion' there is a Folk very well shown, many of the Brazilian bands have that very own style of each, but they contain it and that distinguishes them from other Rock / Metal styles from other countries .

 

The lyric of the songs is very interesting addressing issues such as autism, anxiety, depression, sadness etc ... That's why I tell you that it has a lot of emotional charge. They have a lot of weight the guitar riffs of Rod Wolf, the energetic bass of Thiago Zig and the drummer of Thiago Mateu, he has very good guitar solos, although in some riffs sometimes they do not fit, it is a good Symphonic Metal combined with Goth / Hard Rock and I can even say a bit of Progressive, Alternative and Folk Metal mixed well.

 

The Voice

 

The voice of Aline is smooth with a powerful and refined mix, the record that handles in this album is low and very soft, that adjusts to the notes of each song, without getting lost and without the music exceeding your voice, I like much the attitude of Aline, you can feel totally what she expresses when singing, with a voice style Mezzo Soprano.

Lyria es una banda de metal sinfónico de Brasil. Fundada por la soprano de mezzo Aline Happ en 2012. Dos años después, se lanzó el álbum debut "Catharsis".

 

Las canciones son melódicas y armoniosas, Aline nos canta en tonos bajos. Con buenos arreglos, Solos de guitarra bien integrados en cada canción. Los riffs de guitarra exaltan la voz de Aline poderosamente y con unas baladas muy bien hechas.

Me agrada la entrada Atmosférica del álbum, todo un conjunto coral acompañado de una fuerte y contundente música, guitarras y batería, tranquila y profunda, la hermosa voz de Aline le da un toque dramático y ese solo de guitarra apabullante.

           

Get What You Want

 

Que guitarras pesadas y después suaves para concentrarse en la voz de Aline, me agrada el conjunto de la voz masculina haciendo fondo más fuerte junto a la voz de Aline, junto a una atmosfera densa y profunda, algo rápida después la canción!

 

Let Me Be Me

 

Toda una canción diferente, más suave y un poco más clara en la voz de Aline, pesada y lenta junto a la voz masculina que acompaña a Aline, podría decirse que es la balada dentro del álbum de Immersión.  

 

The Rain

 

Densa y pesada la entrada de esta canción, me agrada la nota trabajada en estas canciones del álbum, fuertes, bajas y pesadas, el contraste con la voz de Aline ajusta perfecto dentro del registro musical y vocal de ella.      

 

Give You Just A Minute

 

Una entrada pesada y con drama! Me agrada esta atmosfera dentro del álbum, tal como dice la canción solo dame un minuto, lenta y contundente la canción.

 

Best Of Me

 

Se puede escuchar un sonido como gaita! Pues una entrada más melódica y armoniosa, un poco más rápida, el cual lo podemos apreciar que la misma voz de Aline aumenta en registro un poco y velocidad, un buen cambio dentro del álbum.  

 

Last Forever

 

Una canción más clara y limpia con el sonido único de la voz de Aline, otra balada muy emocional y con una atmosfera más melancólica y nostálgica.

 

Hard To Believe        

 

Esta canción es una de mis favoritas dentro del álbum, unas guitarras más pesadas y oscuras, la voz de Aline cambia un poco, cuando las guitarras dan ese rechinido continuo y pesado! Sin perder la parte dramática que distingue este álbum.

 

Something Is Rotten

 

Un toque inicial diferente! Una canción más suave en la voz de Aline, contundente y continua, lo que me agrada que todo el álbum sea la canción no pierde esa pesadez y folk mostrado hasta ahora.      

 

Ashes Of My Fears

 

Una batería y guitarras aguerridas y más pesadas! Una entrada enérgica, la pista es tranquila y con más carácter el cual se puede escuchar el gutural de fondo muy bien ejecutado, la hermosa voz de Aline sin perder la claridad.

 

Run To You

 

Totalmente un final muy distinto, la canción acústica en este sentido en el cual podemos apreciar la voz con el rango, tesitura y registro en todo el esplendor de Aline, una canción un poco romántica y muy emocional, una buena sorpresa dentro del álbum.  

 

 

Mi Recomendación

 

Es una álbum completamente sorpresivo, dramático, oscuro y suave al mismo tiempo, tiene bien ejecutados los tempos y notas bajas que hacen un excelente contraste con la voz de Aline, es continuo pero sin perder el estilo cada canción, tiene mucha carga emocional eso lo podemos escuchar en cada pista, en la técnica musical las guitarras y batería se llevan todo el crédito, pesadas y sin perder escalas y sin quitarle la atención a la voz de Aline el cual se escucha con total claridad y en conjunto a coros de fondo o guturales bien ejecutados.

 

Un álbum el cual su nombre lo dice todo ‘Immersion’ hay un Folk muy bien mostrado, muchas de las bandas Brasileñas tienen ese estilo muy propio de cada una, pero lo contienen y eso las distingue de otros estilos de Rock/ Metal de otros países.

 

La lírica de las canciones es muy interesante abordando temas como el autismo, la ansiedad, la depresión, tristeza etc... Por eso les comente que tiene mucha carga emocional. Tienen bastante peso los riffs de la guitarra de Rod Wolf, el bajo energético de Thiago Zig y la batería de Thiago Mateu, posee muy buenos solos de guitarra, aunque en algunos riffs a veces no se acoplan, es un buen Metal Sinfonico combinado con Goth/Hard Rock y hasta puedo decir un poco de Metal Progresivo, Alternativo y Folk bien mezclado.

 

 

La Voz

 

La Voz de Aline es suave con una mezcla poderosa y refinada, el registro que maneja en este álbum es bajo y muy suave, que se ajusta a las notas de cada canción, sin perderse y sin que la música sobrepase a su voz, me gusta mucho la tesitura de Aline, se puede sentir totalmente lo que expresa al cantar, con un estilo de voz Mezzo Soprano.
