Metalwings is a symphonic/gothic metal band from Bulgaria, formed by the classically trained vocalist and songwriter Stela Atanasova in 2010. Metalwings is an unqiue combination of angelic vocals, heavy guitars, powerful symphonic parts and the gentle sound of viola.

On December 23th, 2020, METALWINGS released their brand new single “Monster in the Mirror”! The single is mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios. “Monster in the Mirror” is the first single taken from METALWINGS upcoming album.

On 13th March, 2021, METALWINGS released the official video for “Monster in the Mirror”!

METALWINGS will release their second studio album “A Whole New Land” on June 11, 2021.

A Whole New Land

We begin with an instrumental / symphonic opening with percussions, keyboards, strong chords as the musical introduction progresses along with the beautiful angelic voice of Stela! And magnificent choruses that enhance this first song.

Monster In The Mirror

We continue with a totally symphonic introduction and now with the gothic touch with the appearance of gutturals and Stela's symphonic clean voice, the musical scale changes a little higher and faster, forceful chords and symphonic background sequences.

Like A Willow Without Tears

Excellent melodic, symphonic beginning and in a beautiful combination of her voice, that voice that she has is great! An Epic / Symphonic and Instrumental track.

I See Your Power

A different change in this musical entry, the drums making a forceful presence throughout the track, stronger chords and Stela's voice also a little stronger, but without losing that unique softness and cleanliness.

Silence

A combination of symphonic sequences, slightly longer chords, varied tempos and rhythms. We have a song beautifully combined and stormy between a symphonic part and power metal at times.

Still Believe In Us

A beautiful musical beginning totally instrumental, emotional and nostalgic this musical track, perfectly harmonized acoustic parts by the beautiful voice of Stela, a beautifully made ballad.

Killer Of The Angel’s Love

A darker and slower musical entrance, Stela's voice with this atmosphere a little stronger, dramatic slow rhythm, but then increases speed and rhythm, and staying that way later.

Wonders Of Life

A beautiful track where we find a little more harmonic combinations, chords, symphonic parts, melodic parts and passages of Stela's beautiful voice in harmony with the varied tempos that they show.

Passengers Between The Rails Of Life

Similar musical beginnings as in other previous tracks, without losing the harmony, rhythm and force! With those melodic, fast chords and very strong drums with a dark atmosphere.

Second Chance

A musical piece with more vocal content beautifully interpreted, heavier chords in the middle of the track excellently carried, the symphonic part is the most outstanding weapon of the entire album on various music tracks and here we hear a unique guitar solo.

Milo Moe Libe

An excellent and beautiful ending with this song with an exalted natural atmosphere of wind instruments, with a slow and subtle rhythm, keyboards and the beautiful voice of Stela majestuosa, the only track that is not interpreted in English and that gives more identity to this song.

My Recomendation

An album with excellent musical content! The musical composition is varied within its Symphonic, instrumental, gothic, elegant style and a bit of Folk, there is melody and harmony, with varied tempos in its Symphonic parts 'A Whole New Land' is a concept album, both in music and in the lyrics, because each song has something different, there is the presence of strong and soft chords, acoustic parts, parts with wind instruments carried in an excellent way, an extensive album both in the musical part and in the conceptual, an album with a greater Symphonic / Gothic / Folk Metal content with a soft, rhythmic and melodic musical scale with a bit of a soft, dark atmosphere and native sounds that once again show us Metalwings the strong part of the band.

The Voice

Stela's voice is an excellent and angelic voice, its scale and range of voice is unique, a harmonic, melodic, sweet, clean and beautiful operatic register, a very powerful weapon of the band is in the beautiful voice of Stela that gives to each musical track its own style.

Comenzamos con una apertura instrumental/sinfónica con percusiones, teclados, acordes fuertes conforme avanza la introducción musical junto a la bella voz angelical de Stela! Y coros magníficos que enaltecen esta primera canción.

Monster In The Mirror

Seguimos con una introducción totalmente sinfónica y ahora con el toque gótico con la aparición de guturales y la voz limpia sinfónica de Stela, la escala musical cambia un poco más alta y veloz acordes contundentes y secuencias sinfónicas de fondo.

Like A Willow Without Tears

Excelente inicio melódico, sinfónico y en bella combinación de la voz de ella, ¡es grandiosa esa voz que tiene! Una pista Épica/Sinfónica e Instrumental.

I See Your Power

Un cambio distinto en esta entrada musical, la batería haciendo presencia con contundencia y en toda la pista, acordes más fuertes y la voz de Stela también un poco más fuerte, pero sin perder esa suavidad y limpieza única.

Silence

Una combinación de secuencias sinfónicas, acordes un poco más largos, tempos y ritmos variados. Tenemos una canción bellamente combinada y tormentosa entre una parte sinfónica y power metal por momentos.

Still Believe In Us

Un bello inicio musical totalmente instrumental, emotiva y nostálgica esta pista musical, partes acústicas perfectamente armonizadas por la bella voz de Stela, una balada bellamente hecha.

Killer Of The Angel’s Love

Una entrada musical más oscura y lenta, la voz de Stela con esta atmosfera un poco más fuerte, ritmo lento dramático, pero después aumenta velocidad y ritmo, y manteniéndose así posteriormente.

Wonders Of Life

Un bello track donde encontramos un poco más de combinaciones armónicas, acordes, partes sinfónicas, partes melódicas y pasajes de la bella voz de Stela en armonía con los tempos variados que muestran.

Passengers Between The Rails Of Life

Inicios musicales parecidos como en otras pistas previas, sin perder la armonía, ritmo y contundencia! Con esos acordes melódicos, rápidos y batería muy presente con fuerza con una atmosfera oscura.

Second Chance

Una pieza musical con mayor contenido vocal bellamente interpretado, acordes más pesados a mitad de la pista de excelente manera llevados, la parte sinfónica es la más destacada arma de todo el albúm en varias pistas musicales y aquí escuchamos un solo de guitarra único.

Milo Moe Libe

Un excelente y bello final con esta canción con una atmosfera natural excelsa de instrumentos de viento, con un ritmo lento y sutil, teclados y la bella voz de Stela majestuosa, única pista que no está en ingles interpretada y eso le da más identidad a esta canción.

Mi Recomendación

Un albúm con un contenido musical excelso! La composición musical es variada dentro de su estilo Sinfónico, instrumental, gótico, elegante y un poco de Folk, hay melodía y armonía, con tempos variados en sus partes Sinfónicas ‘A Whole New Land’ es un álbum conceptual, tanto en la música como en las letras, porque cada canción cuenta algo diferente, hay presencia de acordes fuertes, suaves, partes acústicas, partes con instrumentos de viento llevados de excelente forma, un albúm extenso tanto en la parte musical como en lo conceptual, un albúm con un mayor contenido de Metal Sinfónico/Gótico/Folk con una escala musical suave, rítmica y melódica con un poco de atmosfera suave, oscura y sonidos autóctonos que nos demuestran una vez más Metalwings la parte fuerte de la banda.

La Voz

La voz de Stela es una voz excelente y angelical, su escala y rango de voz es única, un registro armónico, melódico, dulce, limpio y operístico hermoso, un arma muy poderosa de la banda está en la bella voz de Stela que da a cada pista musical un estilo propio.
