Are you looking for a 110 % energy filled and hard rocking band, which also has one of the coolest frontwomen, then it's FRONTBACK you're looking for! The band goes on nitroglycerin and gives a live experience out of the ordinary!

​

Frontback is a hard working band which has led to that the frontwoman Anlo Front, often compared to a harder Geddy Lee, Gwen Stefani or Belinda Carlisle, won the nationwide competition “Sweden's Rock Voice 2016” with over 1000 competitors.

​

The band’s latest single “On And On” taken from their new well received album “HEART OF A LION” has also been played nationwide at the biggest radio channel in Sweden (P4) for several months. Released in January 2017 together with the record label Dead End Exit/RoastingHouse.

​

The group has been supporting Status Quo, Mustasch, Electric Boys, H.E.A.T, Freedom Call, Bullet, Crashdiet, among others, and have just played major festivals such as SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL, Malmofestivalen, Helgeåfestivalen and Karl-Oskardagarna.

​

The band is currently working on their third album that is planned to be released during 2019, so take the chance to check the band out to be able to hear some new stuff on the road!

-Hi! I´m glad that you want do this interview me!

​

Tell us a Little of yourself, who is Anlo Front ?

​

Anlo

​

- I´m a rocker from Sweden that loves to sing, play guitar and do makeup. I´m a very artistic person and love cats!

​

How was Anlo Front formed inside of Hard Rock? What musical influences do you have?

​

Anlo

​

- I started to listen to Queen with my mom and Nirvana and Metallica with my brothers. My biggest rockidols when I was younger was Green Day, so I´m more a punkrocker in my heart.

 

How was your band formed ?

​

Anlo

​

- I formed it with one my brothers in the beginning, I learned to play guitar and liked it so I wanted to start a rockband. My brother is no longer in the band. The band consist of me , Axel, Jonas and Koffe!

​

How is the Rock scene in your country? in Sweden

​

Anlo

​

- There are a lot of rockbands in Sweden that are great but not so many venues to play at, that´s sad. But the Festivals are great! We played at Sweden Rock and Helgeå last summer!

​

What do you like more Rock or Metal in general? Would you like to play some heavier style? like which?

​

Anlo

​

- I´m rock, I like catchy rocksongs, that´s my melody;) It would be cool to sing in a metalband more like Nightwish because I think it would be cool to sing more like opera.

​

Tell us about your new álbum  "HEART OF A LION" ! is good, about the production of the álbum, how did you find inspiration for each of the songs?

​

​

- Thank you! The album was released 2017 so it´s not new anymore, but i´ts a well-written álbum that we are proud of and we´ve got a lot of nice reviews of that album! We made every song together so it was really fun album to make. It always starts that one of us comes up with an idea and we finish it together!

​

Did you write the lyrics of the whole álbum?

​

Anlo

​

- I´m the main-writer in the band, the guys comes up with ideas for the lyrics and our drummer wrote most of the lyrics of the song "liar"!

​

Why did you choose the song for the video Dead Man on the Road and not some other song?

​

Anlo

​

- We really like the sound of  "Dead man on the road" and it´s not the "fastest" of the songs on the álbum so we wanted to show that we can do something else than just fast rocksongs!

​

Will you make a new video with some other song from your new álbum? some advance

​

Anlo

​

We will not do more videos from "Heart of a Lion". Right now we are working on our third álbum.

 

Any tour in Europe?  in Sweden ? this year

​

Anlo

​

- We hope to tour Europe when we relase our upcoming álbum! We are booked for a couple of festivals in Sweden and other venues here this spring and summer!

​

If I told you 'who would you like to do a duet with? Who would it be? What does that singer represent for you?

​

Anlo

​

- Taylor Hanson, you know the Mmmbopguy. He´s the number one, his voice is amazing and I actually started to sing when I heard him sing for the first time. Others I would like to sing with is of course(!) Dave Grohl and Adam from the Swedish rockband Royal Republic They are big inspirations for me and I love that they "scream" when they sing.

Anything else you want to share with us?

- Frontback release the third álbum this fall, we are in the studio at the moment and I´ve been drawing all the pictures for the álbum, That will be really cool to show you!

Cuéntanos un poco de ti, ¿Quién es Anlo Front?

​

Anlo

​

- Soy una rockera sueca al que le encanta cantar, tocar la guitarra y hacer maquillaje. ¡Soy una persona muy artística y amo a los gatos!

 

¿Cómo se formó Anlo Front dentro del Hard Rock? ¿Qué influencias musicales tienes?

Anlo

​

- Comencé a escuchar a Queen con mi mamá, Nirvana y Metallica con mis hermanos. Mi mayor rock idol cuando era más joven fue Green Day, así que soy más una punk rocker en mi corazón.

​

¿Cómo se formó tu banda?

​

​

- La formé con uno de mis hermanos al principio, aprendí a tocar la guitarra y me gustó, así que quería comenzar una banda de rock. Mi hermano ya no está en la banda. La banda está formada por mí, Axel, Jonas y Koffe!

​

¿Cómo es la escena del rock en tu país? en Suecia

​

- Hay muchas bandas de rock en Suecia que son geniales, pero no hay tantos lugares para tocar, eso es triste. ¡Pero los festivales son geniales! Tocamos en Sweden Rock y Helgeå el verano pasado!

​

¿Qué te gusta más rock o metal en general? ¿Te gustaría tocar un estilo más pesado? como cual

​

​

- Soy rock, me gustan las canciones de rock pegadizas, esa es mi melodía ;) Sería genial cantar en una banda de metal como Nightwish porque creo que sería genial cantar más como ópera.

​

¡Cuéntanos sobre tu nuevo álbum "HEART OF A LION"! Es bueno, sobre la producción del álbum, ¿cómo encontraste la inspiración para cada una de las canciones?

​

​

- ¡Gracias! El álbum fue lanzado en 2017, así que ya no es nuevo, pero es un álbum bien escrito del que estamos orgullosos y tenemos muchas buenas críticas de ese álbum. Hicimos todas las canciones juntos, así que fue muy divertido hacer un álbum. ¡Siempre comienza que uno de nosotros se nos ocurre una idea y la terminamos juntos!

¿Escribiste la letra de todo el álbum?

​

Anlo

​

- Soy la escritora principal de la banda, a los chicos se les ocurren ideas para las letras y nuestro baterista escribió la mayoría de las letras de la canción "mentiroso".

​

¿Por qué elegiste la canción para el video ”Dead Man on the Road” y no otra canción?

​

Anlo

​

- Realmente nos gusta el sonido de "Dead man on the road" y no es la "más rápida" de las canciones del álbum, ¡así que queríamos demostrar que podemos hacer algo más que solo canciones rápidas!

​

¿Harás un nuevo vídeo con alguna otra canción de tu nuevo álbum? algún avance

​

No haremos más vídeos de "Heart of a Lion". Ahora mismo estamos trabajando en nuestro tercer álbum.

¿Alguna gira en Europa? ¿en Suecia? este año

​

​

- ¡Esperamos hacer una gira por Europa cuando compartamos nuestro próximo álbum! ¡Estamos reservados para un par de festivales en Suecia y otros lugares aquí esta primavera y verano!

​

Si te dijera '¿Con quién te gustaría hacer un dueto? ¿Quién podría ser? ¿Qué representa ese cantante para ti?

​

- Taylor Hanson, ya conoces al Mmmbopguy. Él es el número uno, su voz es increíble y en realidad comencé a cantar cuando lo escuché cantar por primera vez. Otros con los que me gustaría cantar es, por supuesto (!) Dave Grohl y Adam, de la banda de rock sueca Royal Republic. Son una gran inspiración para mí y me encanta que "griten" cuando cantan.

¿Algo más que quieras compartir con nosotros?

- Frontback lanza el tercer álbum este otoño, estamos en el estudio en este momento y he estado diseñando todas las fotos para el álbum. ¡Será realmente genial mostrarte!
