Official Bio

 

Ravenword is a Symphonic Power Metal project inspired by the novel "The Raven" written by the famous writer Edgar Allan Poe.

​

The project was born in 2007 from the mind of Davide Scuteri (keyboardist and composer) with the aim to recreate the romantic and decadent poetic themes typical of the historical period of the writer, combined with the classic sounds of bands like Sonata Arctica, Nightwish, Stratovarius and Within Temptation.

The project is completed in 2019 together with Chiara Tricarico (vocals), Michele Olmi (drums) and Cesare Ferrari (guitar and bass) releasing an album called "Transcendence", aimed at symbolizing the will to "go beyond", do not dwell on our perception of reality, but always seek a deeper and hidden meaning.

A bit more speed, forceful and soft chords, Chiara's harmonic voice gives her a lot of prominence along with those overflowing and great keyboards!

​

Excellent speed and light, soft chords, a lot of harmony is maintained, Chiara's wonderful voice with a perfect operatic style, the chorus voices give more artistic detail to the song and the piano even more weight!

Lullaby Of The Last Petal*

​

A beautifully instrumental entrance with a very artistic and beautiful atmosphere, the first ballad with long, soft and calm musical notes, a beautiful violin that accompanies the beautiful voice of Chiara and voices in angelic choir.

Purity

​

An entry similar to the previous track, sublime and allegorical! Then strong and present chords, completely the song beautifully carried by Chiara's super voice! And those guitar solos add a bit of melancholy to the song.

Rain Of Stars

​

A splendid entry with keyboards, then a bit of strength and chords with greater speed and harmony of the musical part! Chiara's beautiful voice surprises because it continues with that emotion, softness and energy in each musical track!

The Queen Of Darkness

​

Soft atmospheric instrumental entry, forcefulness of drums and chords which come together in Chiara's vocal changes, here we hear her a little louder, in combination of the background voices.

What I Need

​

Improve the speed and strength in this song! Greater rhythm and speed, the voices make a perfect dance in harmony of high and fast notes and slowing down a little in speed when Chiara's voice is present.

The Swansong*

​

The second ballad is present, soft harmony in the musical notes, slow scales and beautifully adorned by the softness of Chiara's beautiful voice in combination with the background choirs.

Dylan

​

We start with an excellent screeching riff, in a combination of forcefulness from the drums and chords, Chiara's beautiful voice gives her a unique presence in each song, there is forcefulness and speed in Dylan!

​

Crimson Lake

​

Dylan-like style, rhythm and speed, harmony and melody found on this track! With a greater musical presence and in the splendid vocal part of Chiara and in the company of a surprising Gutural!

​

The Distance

​

Sounds and musical style with more forcefulness, elevate that forcefulness in the chords that at the beginning they give us, later a beautiful acoustic passage and the voice of Chiara urgent and majestic.

Bleeding Moon*

 

Closing with an ambient and melancholic atmosphere as at the beginning of the album, acoustics and soft notes with natural settings that take us through sad and emotional passages throughout the album on piano notes with the harmonica and sweet voice of Chiara.

My Recomendation

​

It is a very artistic album with a great musical arrangement, production and orchestral, in the beautifully harmonized chorus part, it has arrangements with soft, clear musical notes, strong and forceful chords, the Symphonic part is very present in the whole album, it is a album which you have to have a lot of emotional and musical appreciation, it is not a single moment to listen to it, there is a melancholic and calm environment, which reflects it very well in those guitar solos or with keyboards, a continuous album, if so the album.

Chiara always gives her songs that stamp and style, in detail and conceptual, with a meaning in each letter, which she is the author and she does perfectly! symphonic elements outperform power metal parts without overshadowing or surpassing them. There are songs that elevate that power metal and then surprise us with a low scale with a more symphonic part, the solos with chords and melancholic emotion are great, and in the chorus part too, it is skillful, harmonic and catchy, also the way in that the ballads or instrumentals are distributed, 4 or 5 songs later, undoubtedly give a space to the acoustic part of the album.

The Voice

​

Chiara's beautiful voice is simply a delight, her timbre, and vocal softness gives a very soft touch to if it is a heavy and forceful song! Just like Tarja, Simone, Sharon or Charlotte do, their vibrato is soft and light, beautiful and according to the musical scales that this album handles, Chiara's voice gives a deep push to each song, I loved a part in who sings in Italian, changes the perception of the song a lot like that and I think it makes it more attractive.

Ravenword es un proyecto de Symphonic Power Metal inspirado en la novela "The Raven" escrita por el famoso escritor Edgar Allan Poe.

​

El proyecto nació en 2007 de la mente de Davide Scuteri (teclista y compositor) con el objetivo de recrear los temas poéticos románticos y decadentes propios de la época histórica del escritor, combinados con los sonidos clásicos de bandas como Sonata Artica, Nightwish, Stratovarius y Within Temptation.

​

El proyecto se completa en 2019 junto a Chiara Tricarico (voz), Michele Olmi (batería) y Cesare Ferrari (guitarra y bajo) lanzando un disco llamado "Transcendence", destinado a simbolizar la voluntad de "ir más allá", no te detengas en nuestra percepción de la realidad, pero siempre buscamos un significado más profundo y oculto.

Un poco de mayor velocidad, contundencia y acordes suaves, la armónica voz de Chiara le da mucho protagonismo junto a esos teclados desbordados y geniales!

Excelente velocidad y acordes ligeros, suaves, mucha armonía se mantiene, la maravillosa voz de Chiara con un estilo Operístico perfecto, las voces en coro le dan más detalle artístico a la canción y el piano aun mayor peso!

Una entrada bellamente instrumental y con una bella atmosfera muy artística, la primera balada con notas musicales largas, suaves y tranquilas, un bello violín que acompaña a la bella voz de Chiara y voces en coro angelical.

Una entrada semejante a la pista anterior, sublime y alegórica! Después acordes presentes y con fuerza, completamente la canción bellamente llevada por la súper voz de Chiara! Y esos solos de guitarra le dan un poco de melancolía a la canción.

Rain Of Stars

​

Un esplendida entrada con teclados, después un poco de fuerza y acordes con mayor velocidad y armonía de la parte musical! La bella voz de Chiara sorprende porque continua con esa emoción, suavidad y energía en cada pista musical!

The Queen Of Darkness

​

Entrada instrumental atmosférica suave, contundencia de batería y acordes el cual se conjuntan en los cambios vocales de Chiara, aquí la escuchamos un poco más fuerte, en combinación de las voces de fondo.

What I Need

​

Mejora la rapidez y fuerza en esta canción! Mayor ritmo y velocidad, las voces le hacen una danza perfecta en armonía de notas altas y rápidas y bajando un poco en velocidad cuando la voz de Chiara se hace presente.

The Swansong*

​

La segunda balada se hace presente, suave armonía en las notas musicales, escalas lentas y adornadas bellamente por la suavidad de la bella voz de Chiara en combinación de los coros de fondo.

Dylan

​

Iniciamos con un excelente riff chillante, en combinación de contundencia por parte de batería y acordes, la bella voz de Chiara le da una presencia única en cada canción, hay contundencia y velocidad en Dylan!

​

Crimson Lake

​

Un estilo, ritmo y velocidad semejante a Dylan, armonía y melodía encontramos en esta pista! Con una mayor presencia musical y en la parte vocal esplendida de Chiara y en compañía de un Gutural sorpresivo!

​

The Distance

​

Sonidos y estilo musical con más contundencia, elevan esa contundencia en los acordes que al inicio nos brindan, posteriormente un bello pasaje acústico y la voz de Chiara apremiante y majestuosa.

​

Bleeding Moon*

 

Cerrando con una atmosfera ambiental y melancólica como al inicio del albúm, acústica y notas suaves con ambientaciones naturales que nos llevan por pasajes tristes y emocionales en todo el albúm en notas de piano con la armónica y dulce voz de Chiara.

​

Mi Recomendación  

​

Es un albúm muy artístico con un gran arreglo musical, producción y orquestal, en la parte de coros bellamente armonizado, tiene arreglos con notas musicales suaves, claras, acordes fuertes, contundentes, la parte Sinfónica está muy presente en todo el albúm, es un albúm el cual hay que tener mucha apreciación emocional y musical, no es de un solo momento el escucharlo, hay un ambiente melancólico y tranquilo, el cual lo refleja muy bien en esos solos de guitarra o con teclados, un albúm continuo, si es así el albúm.

​

Chiara siempre les da a sus canciones esa estampa y estilo, a detalle y conceptuales, con un significado en cada letra, la cual ella es autora y lo hace perfectamente! los elementos sinfónicos superan a las partes de power metal sin eclipsarlos o superándolos. Hay canciones que elevan ese power metal y después nos sorprenden con una baja escala con una parte más sinfónica, los solos con acordes y emoción melancólica son geniales, y en la parte del coro también, es hábil, armónica y pegadiza, también la forma en que están distribuidas las baladas o instrumental, 4 o 5 canciones después, le dan un espacio a la parte acústica del albúm sin duda.

La Voz

​

La bella voz de Chiara es simplemente un deleite, su timbre, y suavidad vocal le da un toque muy suave a si sea una canción pesada y contundente! Así como lo hace Tarja, Simone, Sharon o Charlotte, su vibrato es suave y ligero, bello y de acuerdo a las escalas musicales que este albúm maneja, la voz de Chiara le da un profundo empuje a cada canción, me encanto una parte en que canta en italiano, cambia mucho la percepción de la canción así y creo le da mayor atractivo.
