Greetings ! My Dear Readers ! Here I bring you the interview of a Mexican band that surprises us with a new alignment but always giving us amazing music with influences from the Rock / Metal , formed by women here a bit of its history , taken from his official biography

 

Mystica Girls is a band led by guitarist Cinthya Blackcat . His original project began in 2007 , but the history of the band can be traced from 2005 with a cover band called " Mystica " .

 

At first, " Mystica " played covers a variety of genres including Rock (English and Spanish ) Metal, Oldies, Grunge and Punk among others. In early 2007 the band decided to create original songs, and its name changed to " Mystica Girls" . The band began producing his original project and took a demo with 4 songs.

 

MysticaGirls quickly began to gain popularity and managed to act in such forums as the Flying Circus , Piranha Bar , Monster Bar Tlalnepantla , Dada X , Pavilion East Sports Palace , Expos as TNT Comics 13 Anniversary XXVII Tianguis Cultural Poplar , Chalco Fair 2007 , several times in the tianguis Poplar , Walnut Fair 2008 ( Ameca mecca ) , Metalfest on The Street ( Tláhuac ) , 2nd Youth Fair ( Acolman ) Zocalo of Mexico City , Fair Reform of the book in 2010 , Tlalnepantla Convention Center , and Subgrade various DF Delegations Policy .

 

In November 2008, Mystica Girls makes a small independent tour of Europe , playing in cities like Madrid, in Spain , and Rome in Italy. In January 2009 , Mystica Girls Flood presented his debut EP in the Dada X , alternating with the American group "The Last Dance" . Flood is composed of five songs begin to emerge where the influences of the band, covering various branches Metal genre .

 

MysticaGirls , growing exponentially , it has managed to be part of important festivals like : Vive Latino 2010 , Hell and Heaven Metal Fest 2010 and 2011 with Therion and Witchcraft (2010 ) and Megadeth, Fear Factory and Overkill and others in 2011 , Festival " and Justice For All " in Monterrey 2011 , Warsong Festival in August 2010 alongside Transmetal , Agora and Evil among others.

 

Similarly , the band alternated with Spanish Group " Hell's Angels " in San Bartolo Ameyalco and in June 2009 will be splitting the band in the Italian group Cadaveria Flying Circus , is also opening band of Paul di anno ( former vocalist of Iron Maiden ) in Queretaro 2009 , also the Misfits at the Hard rock Live in 2009 among others.

 

Cinthya Blackcat has also performed in international programs such as mass diffusion Telethon 2012 with Alejandro Sanz and Sabadazo (2013 ) both in Televisa.

 

In February 2012 incorporated the Chilean experienced vocalist and drummer Laferte Mon Yoli Moreno, so in April of the same year they released their new single along with a music video promoting "The Conquest" , generating more than 30,000 views in just a month , which significantly increased the popularity of the group since " Metalrose " had exceeded half a million visitors a year.

 

In 2013 the band began composing new material for their first album Lp . Recording began in September. By then the bassist Kathy Whitewolf joined the band as a session musician for the new album , officially becoming a member of Mysticagirls in January 2014 , just in time for the launch of the new album " Gates of Hell" ..

 

Early reviews and opinions, as well as acceptance of the new sound of the band and the new album have been outstanding. MysticaGirls is preparing to make a new music video for the song Gates of Hell itself that gives the album its name , and are preparing for a series of concerts at the National level and recording a live DVD. Tours in Central and North America as well as Europe and Japan are being planned .

¿Now  Cinthya stay as alignment Mystica Girls? ¿What is the future of the band ? ¿What are your plans ?

 I'm on guitar , Mon Laferte on vocals, Yolanda on drums and Kathy Whitewolf on bass. We are very excited because this new album ( Gates of Hell ) we plan to do an international tour. We are still in talks, but Europe and the U.S. we are strong possibilities. Our intention with this album is to reach new markets, but also to surprise and pamper our dear and loyal fans . We made a great effort to provide a high quality product and is the result of years of work and experience .

 

 ¿Tell us, how the new album came up, How do I get the idea?

Make a good album is a lot longer than most people imagine process. As you say , it all starts with small ideas that can add up and grow, like cells that are forming a baby. We wanted to do something that had a profound message that was both dark and fun , and it was expressed with the greatest musical quality. A first idea that you were adding many other , sometimes surprising and almost "magic " ways. Indeed the ideas " come " as if they were sent from some higher place . It is a beautiful process.

 

 ¿What's behind the name of the new album, the name means ?

The fundamental idea of this album is to play with people 's fears . When someone decides to face his fears and conquer , then you can turn them into something fun. Open the gates of hell ( Gates of Hell ) is a good way to represent it , let the fears we all have released. It is true that in doing so, we run the risk of being destroyed by them, but if we are brave and learn to use them, then, these fears become our greatest strength.

 

¿What is the theme of the album, is continuous ? Metaphorical ? ? Need more power ? Or heavier?

In fact it is all the things you mention. Start with opening the gates of hell and ends with a celebration where supposedly scariest beings gather to have fun and be happy, and invite you to celebrate with them as long as you are polite and behave . Definitely continuous and metaphorical. As for music, has many elements of Speed, Thrash, Power, Neoclassical and even Gothic. It is a heavy but very digestible disc. Different emotions are represented by different sounds , it is important that everyone gets along very well with them , haha.

 

 ¿Will guest artists ? or special collaboration?

 

None. The disk 100 % MysticaGirls .

 

¿Tell us, who is currently Mystica Girls ? with the output of various talents . Kathy Whitewolf is the newest member of the group . He arrived just in time to record the new album. Mon Laferte and Yolanda have almost 3 years of being part of the band. And as I said before I am questioning the guitarist.

 

¿Will you write songs or who wrote those ?

Most of the songs are mine. When someone else was involved in some of them is specified on the disc. The same happens if bonus tracks as "Bonus Track" not of my authorship included in any edition.

 

¿Will a video clip of some of the songs ?

Definitely ! You can be sure of that. Now we are also developing , but as with the disc , we give them a high quality product , so we 're not rushing .

Dark Entry, sounds of the underworld march to hell, good very atmospheric entry , reminds us of an apocalypse full of excitement and full of Rock Metal which is a good overture

 

 

The Gates of Hell ;

Heavy tackle , and fast ! Excellent ! Reminds me of the old style touch thrashy , Mon Laferte voice is grave with a dark , slow and full of dark emotion with a touch goth tessitura , but what I like is the fast pace of the melody, not lost pitch or speed, there is little use of voice , a good song with a good Metalero old school style !

 

The Boogie Biker :

What entrance, a heavy crude and heavy rock guitars to its maximum , strong and relentless , slower and with very good guitar solos , another atmospheric song with a very different style battery.

 

No more :

Sounds heavy , similar to previous songs here noticed more rocker style! With a higher voice ! And wild! This song is heavy with a strong rocker style of those great years , again using the little voice is unlike music, which makes use of guitars and drums.

 

The Spirit has won :

Excellent entry Speed ​​and more power! The voice enters in time with the song! Entry great slower background guitar and drums , has a sound similar to speed metal of the old masters , speed regulate other atmospheric song which you can hear

 

Why should we need:

Check slower , a notorious example of good voice Mon Laferte , here is more noticeable than in previous songs , which gives it an air of classic Rock with a clearer and emotional frame of mind, this is the quietest song on the album ! Which does not break with the concept of the album or lyric , it seems good adaptation .

 

New Awakening:

Spooky cookie:

Check with thunderous rock glory , the voice is harsh and cruel! Heavy doom with a touch of style and voice, regular rhythm , the close of the album is good ! Just the thrill of going down to low .

 

 

I liked the album! It really is very different from before , we can hear the evolution of the sound, it really is a heavy disc with a purely Rocker / Thrash / Power / Goth a pleasant and unique combination , the voice does not lose strength, his vocal range is contante and that you gives a personal touch to the disc remains level consistent with a rhythmic sound of each song is dark and raw! Only thing is quite strong and hard as you go up the lower disc and emotion, it is continuous but between intercepted by atmospheric songs.

 

Recommend with ample success , really . Congratulations on the use of instruments and voice Mon Laferte , that voice! I reiterate .

Saludos! Mis queridos Lectores! Aquí les traigo la entrevista de una banda Mexicana que nos sorprende, con una nueva alineación pero siempre dándonos música increíble con influencias entre el Rock/ Metal, conformada por mujeres aquí un poco de su historia, tomada de su biografía oficial

 

Mystica Girls es una banda liderada por la Guitarrista Cinthya Blackcat. Su proyecto original comenzó en el año 2007, pero la historia de la banda puede rastrearse desde 2005, con una banda de covers llamada “Mystica”.

 

Al principio, “Mystica” tocaba una variedad de covers incluyendo géneros como Rock (En Inglés y Español) Metal, Oldies, Grunge y Punk entre otros. A comienzos del 2007 la banda decidió crear canciones originales, y su nombre cambió a “Mystica Girls”. La banda comenzó a producir su proyecto original y sacó un demo con 4 canciones.

 

 

MysticaGirls rápidamente empezó a adquirir popularidad y consiguieron actuar en foros como el Circo Volador, Bar Piraña, Monster Bar Tlalnepantla, Dada X, Pabellón Este del Palacio de los Deportes, Expos de Comics como la TNT 13, Aniversario XXVII del Tianguis Cultural del Chopo, Feria de Chalco 2007, diversas ocasiones en el tianguis del Chopo, la Feria de la Nuez 2008 (Ameca meca), Metalfest On The Street (Tláhuac), 2da Feria de la Juventud (Acolman), Zócalo Capitalino de la Ciudad de México, Feria del libro en Reforma 2010, Centro de Convenciones Tlalnepantla, y Explanadas de diversas Delegaciones Políticas del DF.

 

En Noviembre de 2008, Mystica Girls realiza una pequeña gira independiente por Europa, tocando en Ciudades como Madrid, en España, y Roma en Italia. En Enero de 2009, Mystica Girls presentó su EP debut Diluvio, en el Dada X, alternando con el grupo Norteamericano “The Last Dance”. Diluvio está integrado por cinco canciones en donde comienzan a emerger las influencias de la banda, que abarcan diversas ramificaciones del género Metal. 

 

MysticaGirls, creciendo de forma exponencial, ha conseguido ser parte de Festivales importantes como: Vive Latino 2010, Hell and Heaven Metal Fest 2010 y 2011 con Brujería y Therion (2010) y con Megadeth, Fear Factory y Overkill entre otros en 2011, Festival “And Justice For All” en Monterrey 2011, Festival Grito de Guerra en Agosto 2010 al lado de Transmetal, Agora y Maligno entre otros.

 

Igualmente, la banda alternó con el Grupo Español “Ángeles del Infierno” en San Bartolo Ameyalco y en Junio 2009 se presenta como banda abridora para el grupo Italiano Cadaveria en el Circo Volador; También es banda telonera de Paul di anno (Ex vocalista de Iron Maiden) en Querétaro 2009, también de los Misfits en el Hard rock Live en 2009 entre otros.

 

Cinthya Blackcat también ha tocado en programas de difusión Internacional masiva como el Teletón 2012 junto con Alejandro Sanz y Sabadazo (2013) ambos en Televisa.

 

En Febrero del 2012 se incorpora la experimentada Vocalista Chilena Mon Laferte y la baterista Yoli Moreno, por lo que en Abril del mismo año lanzan su nuevo sencillo junto con un Videoclip de promoción “The Conquest”, generando más de 30 mil reproducciones en sólo un mes, aumentando notoriamente la popularidad del grupo dado que “MetalRose” había sobrepasado el medio millón de visitas en un año.

 

En 2013 la banda comienza a componer su Nuevo material para su primer Álbum Lp. La grabación comenzó en Septiembre. Para entonces la bajista Kathy Whitewolf se integró a la banda como músico de sesión para el Nuevo álbum, convirtiéndose oficialmente en miembro de Mysticagirls en Enero del 2014, justo a tiempo para el lanzamiento del Nuevo disco “Gates of Hell”..

 

Las primeras críticas y reseñas, así como la aceptación del Nuevo sonido de la banda y el Nuevo disco han sido sobresalientes. MysticaGirls se está preparando para hacer un Nuevo videoclip para la canción Gates of Hell misma que le da al álbum su nombre, y están preparándose para una serie de conciertos a nivel Nacional y la grabación de un DVD en vivo. Giras en Centro y Norteamerica, así como Europa y Japón están en siendo planeadas.

¿Ahora Cinthya como quedo la alineación de Mystica Girls? ¿Cuál es el futuro de la banda? ¿Qué planes tienen?

 Estoy yo en la guitarra, Mon Laferte en la voz, Yolanda en la batería y Kathy Whitewolf en el bajo. Estamos muy emocionadas, porque con este nuevo disco (Gates of Hell) planeamos hacer una gira internacional. Todavía estamos en pláticas, pero Europa y Estados Unidos son posibilidades fuertes. Nuestra intención con este disco es llegar a nuevos mercados, pero también, es sorprender y consentir a nuestros queridos y leales fans. Hicimos un gran esfuerzo para ofrecer un producto de muy alta calidad y que es fruto de años de trabajo y experiencia.

 

 ¿Dinos cómo surgió el nuevo álbum, Como llego la idea?

Hacer un buen disco es un proceso mucho más largo de lo que la mayoría de la gente se imagina. Como bien dices, todo comienza con pequeñas ideas que se van sumando y van creciendo, como si fueran células que están formando a un bebé. Queríamos hacer algo que tuviera un mensaje profundo, que fuera a la vez oscuro y divertido, y que estuviera expresado con la mayor calidad musical posible. A esa primera idea se le fueron sumando muchas otras, en ocasiones de maneras sorprendentes y casi "mágicas". Efectivamente las ideas "llegan", como si fueran enviadas de algún lugar superior. Es un proceso muy bello.

 

 ¿Qué hay detrás del nombre del nuevo álbum, que significa el nombre?

La idea fundamental de este álbum es jugar con los miedos de las personas. Cuando alguien decide enfrentar sus miedos y los conquista, entonces puede convertirlos en algo divertido. Abrir las puertas del infierno (Gates of Hell) es una buena forma de representar eso; dejar a los miedos que todos tenemos en libertad. Es cierto que al hacerlo, corremos el riesgo de ser destruidos por ellos, pero si somos valientes y aprendemos a utilizarlos, entonces, esos miedos se convierten en nuestra mayor fortaleza.

 

¿Cuál es la temática del álbum, es continuo? ¿Metafórico? ¿Más power? ¿O más pesado?

De hecho es todas las cosas que mencionas. Comienza con las puertas del infierno abriéndose y termina con una gran celebración adonde los seres supuestamente más aterradores se reúnen para divertirse y ser felices, y te invitan a celebrar con ellos siempre y cuando seas educado y te comportes. Definitivamente es continuo y metafórico. En cuanto a la música, tiene muchos elementos de Speed, Thrash, Power, Neoclásico e incluso gótico. Es un disco pesado pero muy digerible. Distintas emociones se representan con distintos sonidos, lo importante es que todos se llevan muy bien entre ellos, jaja.

 

 ¿Tendrá artistas invitados? o alguna colaboración especial?

No ninguna. El disco de 100% MysticaGirls.

 

¿Dinos quien es Mystica Girls en este momento? con la salida de varios talentos. Kathy Whitewolf es la más reciente integrante del grupo. Llegó justo a tiempo para grabar el nuevo disco. Mon Laferte y Yolanda tienen casi 3 años de ser parte de la banda. Y como comenté preguntas antes yo soy la guitarrista.

 

¿Escribirás las canciones o quienes las escribieron?

La mayoría de las canciones son mías. Cuando alguien más participó en alguna de ellas se especifica en el disco. Lo mismo pasa si en alguna edición se incluyen canciones extra como "Bonus Track" que no sean de mi autoría.

 

¿Tendrá un videoclip de algunas de las canciones?

¡Definitivamente! Pueden estar seguros de ello. Ya lo estamos preparando también, pero al igual que con el disco, queremos entregarles un producto de alta calidad, por eso no nos estamos apresurando.

Entrada oscura, sonidos del inframundo marcha hacia el infierno, buena entrada muy atmosférica, nos recuerda un apocalipsis lleno de emoción y lleno de Rock Metal el cual es una buena obertura

 

The Gates of Hell;

Entrada pesada, y rápida! Excelente! Me recuerda mucho al estilo de antaño del toque Thrashero, la voz de Mon laferte es grave con una tesitura oscura, lenta y llena de emoción oscura con un toque muy goth, pero lo que me gusta es el ritmo rápido de la melodía, no pierde el tono ni la velocidad, hay poco uso de la voz, una buena canción con un buen estilo Metalero a la vieja escuela!

 

The Boogie Biker:

Qué entrada, un heavy Rock crudo y pesado, guitarras a su máximo, contundentes y una batería implacable, más lenta y con solos de guitarra muy buenos, otra canción atmosférica con un estilo muy diferente.

 

No more:

Sonidos pesados, semejantes a las anteriores canciones, aquí notamos más estilo rocker! Con una voz más aguda! Y salvaje! Esta canción es más heavy con un fuerte estilo Rockero de aquellos grandes años, de nuevo el uso de la voz es poca a diferencia de la música, el cual hace más uso de la parte de las guitarras y batería.

 

The Spirit has won:

Excelente entrada más Speed y power! La voz entra a tiempo con la canción! Más aguda y acoplada al ritmo del track, un solo de guitarra bueno el cual es una muestra clara del manejo de los instrumentos muy bueno, aunque la parte final es algo abrupta, la voz alcanza el tiempo de entrada y salida, y termina junto a la canción más trabajada esta canción en escala vocal!

 

Tiny Blue Dot:

Entrada regular con un estribillo entre guitarras y batería, ligero destiempo entre la entrada de voz, el mismo ritmo entre la voz y la canción, el tono de la voz sigue la misma escala, más rítmica y con mayor emoción, estilo Rockero  más notorio, buen final y a tiempo con la voz y sonido.

 

The Conquest:

Excelente entrada! Me recuerda a un estilo clásico entre el Death y el Thrash, la velocidad es muy notoria con un gran manejo de guitarras! La entrada en voz va a tiempo con el mismo ritmo y armonía, aguda y salvaje, me agrada el estilo de la canción, vuele en la parte media del disco esa velocidad! Y ese grito desgarrador es hermoso! Creo solo le faltó a esta canción un gutural y de verdad sería un rico Death clásico!

 

Sweet picking

Entrada de guitarra genial, más lenta y batería de fondo, tiene un sonido semejante al speed metal de los viejos maestros, velocidad regular otra canción atmosférica el cual lo podemos escuchar

 

 

 

Why should we need

Entrada más lenta, una muestra notoria de la buena voz de Mon Laferte, aquí se nota más que en las canciones anteriores, el cual le da un aire de Rock clásico con una tesitura más clara y emocional, esta es la canción más tranquila del álbum! El cual no rompe con el concepto del disco o lírica, me parece buena adaptación.

 

New Awakening

Entrada clásica con un Power muy notorio! Manejo de guitarras excelente, ritmos acordes otra canción muy atmosférica.

 

Spooky cookie

Entrada con gloria rockera estruendosa, la voz es cruda y cruel! Pesada y con un toque doom en el estilo y voz, ritmo regular, el cierra del disco es bueno! Solo que baja la emoción de más a menos.

 

 

Me gusto el disco! Realmente es muy diferente al anterior, podemos oir la evolución del sonido, realmente es un disco pesado con un estilo puramente Rockero/Thrash/Power/Goth una combinación agradable y única, la voz no pierde fuerza, su rango vocal es contante y eso le da un toque personal al disco, se mantiene con un nivel rítmico acorde al sonido de cada canción, es oscura y cruda! Lo único es que entra bastante fuerte y conforme avanza el disco baja y sube la emoción, es continuo pero entre cortado por las canciones atmosféricas.

 

Lo recomiendo con un amplio margen de éxito, realmente. Felicidades por el uso de instrumentos y la voz de Mon Laferte, que voz! Reitero.

 

Mi puntuación es: 9/10
