Greetings! Friends, today this Super weekend another great German muse told me interesting things! Gifted with a great voice and a great beauty Alina Lesnik captivate you!

Alina Lesnik is Mezzo Soprano singer of the ONCE band, whose members are:

¿Hi Alina! How are you? Thanks for this oportunity!

 

Hey Rob! I am fine, thank you.

 

You have a beautiful voice! ¿How was your vocal training?

 

Thanks for the compliment! I have to admit that I only had a professional vocal training for one or two years when I was still a teenager. Most of the techniqes I use are the results of autodidactic training.

 

¿What is your range vocal?

 

E3 – A5. I am a mezzo – soprano singer ;-)

 

¿Who is Alina behind the scenes and in your daily life?

 

That’s a very difficult question, but I would say that I am the same person behind the scenes as in front of ;-)  There is only the difference, that in my daily life I have some more duties and challenges beside living my dream of creating music. For example going to university and having two Jobs. Sometimes it is very hard to find enough time for writing new Songs for ONCE or working for new Projects, but there is always a way to live the passion and working hard to reach my dreams without forgetting that every moment is precious.

 

¿Tell us who is Alina today? 

 

I am a very dreamy and introvert person that lifes in my own “mindcastle” full of fairytales and hopes. It is like a refuge when reality is to hard for me sometimes. I am a hopleless romanticist ;-) Moreover I am perfectionist and determined. When I have an aim, I will reach it, because I am working hard for it. I believe that everything is possible, if you only really believe it with all your heart.

 

 

¿What does mean ‘Once’ for you?

 

ONCE is like a kind of vessel where everyone of us keep their dreams, ideas and talents with the hope to create something big and amazing! Just like a magic potion that that shows everyone how the world would look like if we could create it ;-) So, for me it is the expression of my “mindcastle” where I combine my wishes and fantasies together with beautiful language and melodies. Moreover ONCE is already like a kind of second family. We aren’t just musicians that have the same passion, we are also really good friends!

 

¿What are you doing in with Once? Some new proyect with other band?

 

Right now ONCE is preparing the release of the last two demo Songs “ONCE” and “Crying Angels Lullaby”. Moreover we are working for the first Album. Writing concepts, Lyrics, orchestration parts and instrumentals for the different Songs.

 

When we published our demo Songs, we will plan our first concerts.

There aren’t projects with other Bands, but Frank and I are working for a Role Play Game with the name “Konstandin” right now.

 

You have others styles like Musical, Cinematic/Game Soundtracks

¿Which are your inspirations in this Music? Do you have any Singer in special?

 

My inspirations are different Composers, for example Two Steps From Hell or Hans Zimmer. Everytime I listen to some of their Songs I got a lot of new ideas for melodies or Lyrics. Moreover I really love Disney music and I would say this was the main influence that leads me to my actual Vocalstyle. But there are also books, movies, nature or daily life moments that inspires me a lot!

 

A special singer? I guess it is Floor Jansen ;-) I am very impressed by her professionalism.

I never taked to hear, so I haben’t an impression of her personality, but her voice and appereance on stage are absolutely amazing.

 

¿What type of Music inside Metal you like more? And Why Metal Symphonic?

 

I loved classical music since I was a child. When I got older I adored rock music and couldn’t stop listening to epic orchestral soundtrack music, so Symphonic Metal combined my two favorite music characteristics. Moreover Symphonic Metal is a very wide-ranging term that includes a lot of different sub-categories and room for interpretation. ONCE tries to combine epic orchestral music with Metal and Steampunk elements. Epica sometimes has some more oriental touch and the new Album of Nightwish seems to play with celtic melodies. Symphonic Metal can deal with every kind of topic! That makes it so interesting for me. It is the best way to express my favorite Vocalstyles, my passion for epic orchestrations, rock music and of course my addiction to fantasy based stories and dreamfully melodies and Lyrics.

 

Within the symphonic Metal, which is what is most important to you? an album full of history, an album full of music, or a combination of the two styles?

 

Of course both, no question ;-) For me an album always has to have a story that combines the different Songs into one Masterpiece. We want to tell a story with our music and lyrics. Music, Text, Concept, Story and Design...everything has to serve one expectation: To let the listener feel what we felt when we wrote the music. To lead him into a new world. We all are Storytellers and what is more interesting than a Story that speaks to all senses? 

 

¿Do you write some songs?

 

Yes, I do ;-) I write the Vocal melodies ans Lyrics for ONCE and some other Projects.

 

¿What's the first step when making a new song, for you?

 

The first step is to have inspiration. Without inspiration there is no story to tell.

 

¿Some videoclip coming with your band?

 

With the first album for sure ;-)

 

¿Any Surprise in this 2015?

 

A surprise wouldn’t be a surprise if I woudl tell it everyone, right ;-) But for me a BIG suprise was the message of Plamen Dimov (Muisc teacher and founder of Nightwish). He asked me if I would like to sing at the Nightwish Days in Kitee (Finland). It is a Nightwish tribute with a few Concerts and great artists from all over that world.

So, see me in Finland in July ;-)

Saludos! Amigos, hoy este súper fin de semana otra gran musa Alemana me comento cosas interesantes! Talentosa, con una gran voz y una gran belleza Alina Lesnik te cautivara!

Hola Alina, como estas? Gracias por la oportunidad!

 

Hola Rob! Estoy muy bien, gracias.

 

Tienes una hermosa voz. Como fue tu entrenamiento musical?

 

Gracias por el cumplido! Tengo que admitir que solamente tuve entrenamiento profesional por dos años. La mayoría de mis técnicas son resultado de un entrenamiento autodidacta.

 

Cuál es tu rango vocal?

 

E3 – A5. Soy una cantante Mezzo-Soprano.

 

Quien es Alina detrás de escena y en su vida diaria?

 

Es una pregunta muy difícil, pero me atrevo a decir que soy la misma persona tanto en escena como detrás de ella.

 

Sola hay una diferencia, en mi vida diaria tengo más trabajos y retos además de crear música. Por ejemplo ir a la universidad y a mis dos empleos.

 

A veces es muy difícil encontrar tiempo para escribir nuevas canciones para la banda, o para trabajar en nuevos proyectos.

 

Sin embargo, siempre encuentro la manera de vivir con pasión y de trabajar duro para alcanzar mis sueños sin olvidarme de que cada momento es valioso.

 

Dinos, quien es Alina hoy en día?

 

Soy una persona muy soñadora e introvertida que vive en su propio ‘’castillo mental’’ lleno de cuentos de hadas y esperanzas. Es un refugio para mí cuando siento que la realidad es demasiado dura.

 

Soy una romántica empedernida, también soy perfeccionista y determinada.

Cuando tengo una meta sé que la alcanzare! Porque soy una persona que trabaja duro para lograrlo. Sé que todo es posible, si lo crees con todo tu corazón.

 

Que significa ‘’Once’’ para ti?

 

ONCE es como un buque en el que todos acumulamos nuestros sueños, ideas y talentos con la esperanza de crear algo grande y sorprendente!

Como una poción mágica que les muestra a todos como sería el mundo si tan solo pudiéramos crearlo.

 

Para mí, es la manera en que expreso mi ‘’castillo mental’’ es donde combino mis deseos y fantasías con un lenguaje hermoso y melodías.

 

Por otra parte, ONCE es ya como una segunda familia para mí. No solo somos músicos compartiendo una pasión, también somos buenos amigos!

 

En que trabaja ONCE en estos momentos, tienes proyecto con alguna otra banda?

 

En este momento ONCE se está preparando para lanzar el último par de canciones del demo, ‘’ONCE’’ y ‘’Crying Angels Lullaby’’. Estamos trabajando en nuestro primer álbum.

Estamos escribiendo conceptos, las letras, la parte de la orquesta y la instrumentación de cada canción.

 

Cuando publiquemos las canciones del demo, planearemos nuestros primeros conciertos.

No tengo proyectos con otras bandas, pero Frank y yo estamos trabajando juntos en un ‘’juego de roles’’ (role play) con el nombre ‘’Konstandin’’.

 

 

Tienes otros estilos como el musical, cinematográfico y banda sonora de vídeo juegos. Cuál es tu inspiración en estos géneros? Algún cantante en especial?

 

Mi inspiración son varios compositores, por ejemplo Two Steps from Hell o Hans Zimmer. Cada que escucho sus canciones me lleno de ideas para las letras y melodías.

 

Me encanta la música de Disney y me atrevo a decir que fue mi principal inspiración y la que me llevo a mi actual estilo vocal.

 

También me inspire en libros, películas, naturaleza y momentos de mi vida diaria que me inspiran mucho!.

 

Que si tengo un cantante en especial? Diría que es Floor Jansen, realmente me tiene impresionada con su profesionalismo, no la conozco bien así que no tengo una impresión de su personalidad, pero su voz y apariencia en el escenario son sorprendentes.

 

Qué tipo de música dentro del género metal, te gusta más?

 

Me encanta la música clásica desde niña. Cuando empecé a crecer escuchaba música rock y al mismo tiempo no podía dejar de escuchar música de orquesta épica. El metal sinfónico combina mis dos características favoritas en la música.

 

El metal sinfónico es un término muy amplio que incluye muchas subcategorías y maneras de interpretarlo.

 

ONCE trata de combinar música de orquesta épica con metal y elementos de steampunk. Epica tiene toques orientales y el nuevo álbum de Nightwish tiene melodías celtas.

 

El Metal sinfónico puede lidiar con toda clase de tema! Eso es interesante para mí, es la mejor manera de expresar mis estilos favoritos.

 

Mi pasión por las orquestas épicas, música rock y por supuesto, mi adicción a las historias de fantasía y las melodías llenas de sueños.

 

Hablando de metal sinfónico, para ti que es más importante, un álbum lleno de historia, un álbum lleno de música o una combinación de ambos?

 

Ambas! Sin duda alguna. Para mí un álbum debe tener una historia que combine a todas las canciones y así lograr una obra maestra. Queremos contar una historia con nuestra música y nuestras letras.

 

Música, texto, concepto, historia y diseño, todo debe cumplir una función: Permitir que nuestros escuchas puedan sentir lo que nosotros sentimos al escribir nuestra música. Llevarlos a un mundo nuevo.

 

Nosotros somos contadores de historias y es que nada es más interesante que una historia que habla por todos tus sentidos.

 

Escribes las canciones?

 

Si lo hago, escribo las melodías vocales para ONCE y para algunos otros proyectos.

 

Cuál es el primer paso al escribir una canción?

 

El primer paso es tener algo inspirador. Sin inspiración no hay historia que contar.

 

Habrá vídeo nuevo con la banda?

 

Con el primer álbum estoy segura que sí.

 

Habrá sorpresas para este 2015?

 

Una sorpresa no sería una sorpresa si la revelara! Cierto? Pero les diré que nos llevamos una sorpresa al recibir un mensaje de Plamen Dimov (maestro de música y fundador de Nightwish).

Me invito a formar parte de un tributo a Nightwish, se lleva a cabo en Kitee (Finlandia) y se trata de rendirles tributo mediante una serie de conciertos con artistas y bandas de muchas partes del mundo.

Se llama ‘’Nightwish days’’ así que nos vemos en Finlandia en Julio!.
