Hello Friends! Now this week i leave is new interview with other great Singer of Symphonic Metal in México! The Aryem band! With the great voice Sara lee!

 

So come on with the interview! Sara will tell us who is she!

 

Hello my friend, it's a pleasure to hear about you and i wanna thank you for this opportunity of answering my questions. How have you been?

 

I've been fine! singing! and very busy! working in new songs for Aryem and planning a big surprise this june 14.

 

I'm very excited about it but it's very hard and difficult because there many things to do.

 

Who is sara Lee? Please,introduce yourself with our readers.

 

Hi! I'm Sara Lee, singer of Aryem; a symphonic metal band from Mexico and i'm very proud of be part it.

 

I'm a tall girl, soprano, with long hair and who loves singing, having fun, enjoying the little details and listen to good music (only my favourite).

 

How did you career start? How old are you?

 

I don't like to talk about my age... often people think that you are way too old for what you are doing, or they think you are too young and naive.

 

So this is me! just me! with no prejudices about age, at least no with me or with someone else.

Since i was a little girl i liked to sing. I was an overactive child and i used to singing, acting and dancing everywhere! Then it came my opportunity of be part of musical theater when i was 6 years.

A couple years later, a mad producer decided to sponsor me with singing lessons and that is how my career started!

 

About rock music, i have to say it was a personal discovery. I found an abandoned CD of Freddy Mercury and it became in my favourite one.

 

In those days i didn't know much about english language and my favourite song was '' Mister Vaca'' (mister cow).

 

I misunderstood the name of the song but then i learned the lyrics and found the real meaning. It was ''Mr. Bad Guy'' lol

 

Do you have other job? Do you study?

 

Yes, I studied and finished a career at UNAM (i'm proud) and nowadays i'm working.

My job helps me to take singing lessons and why not? it helps to give me some pleasures.

 

Which are your musical influences?

 

There are many! For example i like the softness and lightness of Enya. The strength and power of Floor Jansen.

 

I like the rock of the eighties, classical music, symphonic metal, epic music, a lot of soundtracks and even i like japanese music!

 

What does rock music means for you?

 

The rock music is awesome! is powerful! it' a free expression that you give to others.

National rock has suffered many changes through the years, the environment is always changing as well as the culture and the media.

 

I think there exists many talented bands here in México, with great musical proposals. It's always a pleasure to hear new mexican bands.

 

About metal, i think is like the very strong son of the rock.

 

Like a nice young man who is strong, brave, full of energy, sometimes rebel and sometimes melancholic, and of course full of expressivity.

 

Metal has many genres, so it depends of what you want to express.

 

What are your hobbies?

 

My hobbies are: singing, getting crazy when i'm overactive, drawing when i have free time with pencil, pen and watercolors. I like to use all colors.

 

I like photography and i love to take photos of special moments in my life. Reading good books, especially if the book has been recommended (if the book is good, i wish it had no ending).

I like making laugh my friends, eating delicious chocolates and smelling wet land.

 

Do you have vocal training? What is your range?

 

Yes, when i was a child i took singing lessons but nowadays i'm training again.

I'm a soprano A4_E7.

 

Which are your favourite singers?

 

Freddie Mercury, Floor Jansen, Ann Wilson, Tarja Turunen, Sharon DenAdel, Ana Torroja and Amy Lee.

 

Would you like to try with a heavier genre? Like heavy metal.

 

There have been already proposals for new collaborations with bands of the same style.

My answer has always been yes! so it's a matter of time

 

How did you become a member of Ayrem? What is the proposal the new cd?

 

I met the composer of Aryem at a party of a mutual friend, we started a friendship at Facebook and then he showed me his musical pieces.

 

He wanted to see my videoclips of me singing and then we rehearsed together.

Whit this new album we want to show contrast, orchestral arrangements and the power of metal.

Every song is different but we looking for the same expressivity, we decided to use every resource.

We want to transmit a core emotions, full of feelings and a lot of energy!.

 

Do you write songs?

 

I like to write, when i was a kid i used to see myself as a writer or a novelist.

This new songs has music and lyrics from Diego Heero, our composer.

 

Every musical piece has a mix of music and lyrics which transmit every feeling directly.

So you can expect a musical piece from Diego and me.

 

There will be a new vídeo?

 

Yes indeed, this year we will release an especial vídeo for one one of the most especial songs in our album.

 

Also we will make a video of the event of 14 of June for everyone who couldn't asist.

 

What can we expect from Sara Lee this year?

 

Recording new songs, especial concerts of Aryem, recording a new musical video, some photo shoots and some collaborations!.

 

There’s something else would you like to share us?

 

If you guys want to enjoy of a concert full of symphonic orchestra at live, very talented musicians, don't miss this 14 of June our event.

 

We will energize the south of Mexico city and i hope to meet every supporter of Aryem.

Hola Amigos! Ahora, esta semana les dejo esta nueva entrevista con otra gran cantante de metal sinfónico en México! La banda Aryem! Con la gran voz de Sara Lee!

 

Así que vamos con la entrevista! Sara nos dirá quién es ella!

 

Hola mi amiga, muchas gracias por saber de ti y encantado de compartir con nosotros un poco de tu tiempo!

 

¿Cómo has estado?

 

Muy bien! cantando! (para variar jaja) ...y la verdad muy ocupada! trabajando en nuevas canciones de Aryem y una sorpresota que traemos ya para el 14 de Junio! ..Muy padre, emocionada por eso y atareada ya que es algo que requiere muchas cosas que hacer y trabajar

 

¿Quién es Sara lee? ¡Preséntate con todos tus lectores!

 

Hola! Soy Sara Lee, vocalista de Aryem; una banda de metal sinfónico formada en México de la cual estoy muy orgullosa de pertenecer!..Soy una chica alta, sopranera, de cabello muy largo, que le gusta cantar, divertirse, disfrutar los detalles y escuchar buena música (la que me gusta.. jaja)

 

¿Cómo te iniciaste en esta carrera musical, que edad tienes?

 

No me gusta decir mi edad.. Porque a veces creen que ya estás grande para lo que haces y otras veces piensan que eres muy joven e iluso.. Así que sólo soy yo! sin prejuicios por la edad, ni para conmigo ni para con nadie..

 

Desde muy chiquita me gustaba cantar, al principio cómo podía. Era hiperactiva y andaba por todos lados cantando, bailando, actuando ..Dando show! Así apareció alguna oportunidad en teatro musical cuando tenía 6 años y un par de años después una productora que estaba muuuy loca decidió patrocinarme clases de canto ..y así empezó todo!

 

En cuanto al Rock, fue un descubrimiento fortuito.. Cuando aprendí a usar los CD’s encontré en mi casa un disco abandonado de Freddy Mercury, el cual me encantó! ..en ese entonces no sabía mucho inglés y mi canción favorita era la de “Mister Vaca” ..Que era lo que yo entendía.. Luego me aprendí la canción y descubrí que lo que decía era “Mr. Bad Guy”.. jajaja

 

¿Tienes algún otro trabajo en paralelo a la banda, estudias?

 

Sí, estudié y terminé una carrera en la UNAM (orgullosamente!) y actualmente trabajo, lo cual me ayuda a darme algunos gustos y poder tomar clases de canto

 

¿Cuáles son tus influencias musicales?

 

Son muy variadas! Por ejemplo, me gustan desde la suavidad y ligereza de Enya hasta la fuerza y power de Floor Jansen, pasando por todas las cosas intermedias y diferentes que hay. Me gusta el Rock de los 80´s, la música clásica, el metal sinfónico, la música épica, muchos soundtracks.. Hasta música en japonés, etc.

 

¿Qué es para ti el Rock en general, el Rock Nacional y Metal?

 

El Rock es genial! es power! una expresión libre que contagia a los otros con esa energía!

El Rock nacional ha sufrido varios cambios con el pasar de los años, como todos sabemos el entorno cambia, la cultura, la popularización de ciertas cosas terciada por los medios, etc. Pero yo creo que hay excelentes y talentosas bandas y propuestas musicales en México! Siempre da mucho gusto descubrir el trabajo de una banda talentosa que es 100% mexicana!

 

En cuanto al Metal en general, para mí es como el hijo fortachón del Rock; como un joven grande, fuerte, valiente, lleno de energía, que puede ser rebelde o melancólico y que está lleno de expresividad. El metal tiene varios géneros, dependiendo qué quiera expresar y cómo quiere hacerlo es el temperamento que ese joven puede tener.

 

¿Cuáles son tus Hobbies dentro y fuera del escenario?

 

Mis hobbies son cantar! alocarme cuando ando hiperactiva! dibujar cuando tengo tiempo con lápiz, pluma, colores, acuarela.. sobre todo ojos, tomar fotos de los momentos especiales para poder recordarlos (soy de las que gritan foto! foto! volteen! jaja), leer buenos libros cuando me los recomiendan (aunque si son buenos no quiero que se terminen..), hacer reír mucho a mis mejores amigos, encontrar chocolates amargos deliciosos y percibir el olor de la lluvia, de tierra mojada!

 

¿Tienes entrenamiento vocal, si es así cuál es tu rango vocal?

 

Si, cuando era chiquita tomé clases de canto un par de años y ahora he retomado mi entrenamiento de manera más seria, soy Soprano A4/E7

 

¿Cuál o cuáles son tus vocalistas favoritos dentro y fuera del Rock?

 

Freddie Mercury, Floor Jansen, Ann Wilson, Tarja Turunen,

Sharon den Adel, Ana Torroja y Amy Lee

 

¿Te gustaría hacer Heavy Metal o algún otro estilo pesado?

 

Ya me han hecho algunas propuestas para hacer colaboraciones con otras bandas de este estilo y mi respuesta ha sido “Sí!!”, habrá que hacer que suceda

 

¿Cómo llegaste a la banda Ayrem y que propuesta nos da la banda con su nuevo álbum próximamente?

 

Conocí al compositor de Aryem en la fiesta de un amigo mutuo que cantaba en el mismo Coro que yo, nos hicimos amigos en FB; me mostró algunas de las piezas que él había hecho, me pidió que le mandara videos donde saliera cantando, ensayamos unas piezas de la banda y entonces me propuso que fuera su vocalista!

 

Con el nuevo álbum que estamos preparando buscamos contrastes, claroscuros, caricias con los arreglos orquestales y sacudidas con toda la fuerza del metal! Aunque las piezas que conforman el álbum son distintas entre ellas, buscamos la máxima expresividad en cada una de ellas explotando todos los recursos que tenemos para hacerlo! Queremos conducir a quien nos escuche al núcleo de las emociones que queremos transmitir y que se llenen con esa energía!

 

¿Escribes algunas canciones o quien las escribe?

 

Me gusta escribir, de hecho cuando era más pequeña pensé que iba a ser cuentista o novelista. Las canciones del nuevo disco de Aryem tienen la letra y música de Diego Heero, nuestro compositor. Las piezas tienen que ser una comunión entre música y letra para que se puedan transmitir todas esas sensaciones de manera más directa. No sería muy raro que sacáramos alguna pieza en la que hubiéramos trabajado juntos Diego y yo.

 

¿Algún nuevo video?

 

Si, este año lanzaremos un nuevo video para una de las piezas más especiales de nuestro álbum! y también lanzaremos un video para que todos los que no nos puedan acompañar en nuestra sorpresa del 14 de Junio vean lo que hicimos!

 

¿Qué nos espera de Sara lee en este 2015?

 

Mucha lata! Grabar canciones nuevas, conciertos especiales de Aryem, grabar el nuevo video musical, algunos photoshoots, algunas colaboraciones y.. Sorpresas!

 

¿Algo más que nos quieras compartir?

 

Si quieren disfrutar de un gran concierto con orquesta sinfónica en vivo, músicos talentosísimos y el estreno de un par de piezas de Aryem, aparten en sus calendarios el 14 de Junio! Vamos a llenar de energía el sur de la Ciudad de México!! y espero conocer en persona a todos los que apoyan este gran género en México!
