Bio: Magica started in February 2002 as a project of Bogdan Costea, directly with the recordings for the 1st album "The Scroll of Stone" (having more of a demo purpose). After 2 months of intense work, the material was ready! 12 power melodic heavy metal songs, in the vein of Rhapsody, Nightwish, and Helloween, which show the high potential of the band. After the songs were ready Bogdan recruited the members of the band.

After a long time my friend Ana gives us another interview!

 

How are you my friend?? Thank you for this new opportunity!!! again!

​

Ana:

​

Hello again, Darkzen! I am doing wery well thank you, I hope you are the same and I thank

you for your interest in Magica.

​

Darkzen: Thank you! Me too!

 

Tell us what happened with you all this time Ana?

​

Ana:

​

As you know, we have taken a little time off (not so little in fact) because I needed to

concentrate on my little girl, Alma, and give her all the time that she needed.

 

After a long time what there is in mind of Ana and Magica band with projects?

​

Ana:

​

Magica is back in the saddle now, and we are doing concerts, rehearsals, playing as much as we can and our jobs let us. Bogdan has another band "Lupu'cel Rau" and he is touring a lot more often, because their style is more compatible with the biker style of events.

 

Because you have not been encouraged to make a new album of great hits or with some other guest singer?

​

Ana:

​

As I told you before, I dedicated 100% of my time to my daughter and I did not care for any other  distractions, colaborations or any type of music related activities.

​

Have you written any new songs for a new álbum?

​

Ana:

​

As a matter of fact, Bogdan has a full album written, I think it's 12 songs ready for me to

record vocals, but he is changing them continuously and until he decides that the song has

a form that he truly likes, he will not have us rehears or record anything. So far I have

recorded only 2 new songs and I am waiting to track the rest of them, when Bogdan decides

it is time.

 

How have your live performances been?

​

Ana:

​

We have played several shows, club and festival ones. We usually play a couple of songs

from each album, and also a few covers from Within Temptation, Europe, Nightwish, Heart and so on.

 

If at this moment you had in mind the concept of the new album, what will be the title and style of your new production?

​

Ana:

​

This is a question for Bogdan..he is the mastermind behind all lyrics, concept and music.

He had multiple ideeas and paths that he could follow. At a certain time he even told me

that he could write the sequel to "The Scroll of Stone" album, but he was not decided. All

that I can say is that there will surely be some songs sung in romanian language.

 

Do you have in mind some new live performances in your country or outside?

​

Ana:

​

We shall definitely play new concerts and festivals this winter and we have some

collaborations with the 2019 summer festivals as well, all of them in our country, but we

are open to proposals for outside tours.

 

Let's remember good times my friend! Tell us which song or whats songs are your favorites all your albums?

​

Ana:

​

This is a hard question..I like a lot of songs...Here are a few of my favorites, the ones that jump right away in my mind:

Bittersweet Nightshade, Inluminata, All waters..

 

For your fans Ana, what do we expect from Ana and Magica for next year?

​

Ana:

​

For the future, I wish that I could travel more and play as many festivals as possible.

Bio: Magica comenzó en febrero de 2002 como un proyecto de Bogdan Costea, directamente con las grabaciones para el 1er álbum "The Scroll of Stone" (que tiene un propósito más de demostración). ¡Después de 2 meses de intenso trabajo, el material estaba listo! 12 potentes canciones de heavy metal melódico, en la vena de Rhapsody, Nightwish y Helloween, que muestran el alto potencial de la banda. Después de que las canciones estuvieran listas, Bogdan reclutó a los miembros de la banda.

Después de mucho tiempo mi amiga Ana nos da otra entrevista!

¿¿Cómo estas mi amiga?? ¡Gracias por esta nueva oportunidad! ¡Otra vez!

Ana:

​

Hola de nuevo, Darkzen! Lo estoy haciendo muy bien, gracias, espero que sea lo mismo y te agradezco por tu interés en Mágica.

​

Darkzen: ¡Gracias! ¡Yo también!

​

Cuéntanos qué pasó contigo todo este tiempo Ana?

​

Ana:

​

Como saben, nos hemos tomado un poco de tiempo libre (no tan poco en realidad) porque necesitaba concéntrate en mi niña, Alma, y darle todo el tiempo que necesite.

​

Después de mucho tiempo, ¿qué tiene en mente la banda con proyectos de Ana y Magica?

​

Ana:

​

Magica está de vuelta en la silla ahora, y estamos haciendo conciertos, ensayos, tocando todo lo que podemos y nuestros trabajos nos lo permiten. Bogdan tiene otra banda "Lupu'cel Rau" y está de gira mucho más a menudo, ya que su estilo es más compatible con el estilo de los eventos de moteros.

¿Porque no se han animado a hacer un nuevo álbum de grandes éxitos o con algún otro cantante invitado?

​

Ana:

​

Como te dije antes, dediqué el 100% de mi tiempo a mi hija y no me interesaron otras distracciones, colaboraciones o cualquier tipo de actividades relacionadas con la música.

​

¿Has escrito alguna canción nueva para un nuevo álbum?

​

Ana:

​

De hecho, Bogdan tiene un álbum completo escrito, creo que tengo 12 canciones listas para que grabe las voces, pero las está cambiando continuamente y hasta que decide que la canción tiene una forma que realmente le gusta, no nos hará ensayar ni grabar nada. Hasta ahora grabé solo 2 canciones nuevas y estoy esperando para el resto, cuando Bogdan decida que es tiempo.

​

¿Cómo han sido tus actuaciones en vivo?

​

Ana:

​

Hemos tocado varios espectáculos, clubes y festivales. Solemos tocar un par de canciones, de cada álbum, y también algunas portadas de Within Temptation, Europe, Nightwish, Heart, etc.

 

Si en este momento tuvieras en mente el concepto del nuevo álbum, ¿cuál será el título y el estilo de tu nueva producción?

​

Ana:

​

Esta es una pregunta para Bogdan... él es el cerebro detrás de todas las letras, conceptos y música. Tenía múltiples ideas y caminos que podía seguir. En cierto momento incluso me dijo que podía escribir la secuela del álbum "The Scroll of Stone", pero no estaba decidido. Todo lo que puedo decir es que seguramente habrá algunas canciones cantadas en lengua rumana.

​

¿Tienes en mente algunas nuevas presentaciones en vivo en su país o fuera?

​

Ana:

​

Definitivamente tocaremos nuevos conciertos y festivales este invierno y tenemos algunas colaboraciones con los festivales de verano de 2019 también, todos ellos en nuestro país, pero nosotros estamos abiertos a propuestas de visitas al exterior.

​

Recordemos buenos tiempos mi amiga! Dinos qué canción o qué canciones son tus favoritas en todos tus álbumes?

​

Ana:

​

Esta es una pregunta difícil... Me gustan muchas canciones... Aquí están algunas de mis favoritas, las que saltan de inmediato en mi mente: Sombra Nocturna agridulce, Inluminata, Todas las aguas …

 

Para tus fans, Ana, ¿Qué esperamos de Ana y Mágica para el próximo año?

​

Ana:

​

Para el futuro, me gustaría poder viajar más y tocar la mayor cantidad de festivales posible.

​

¿Algo más que quieras compartir con nosotros?

​

Ana:

​
