Greetings! Friends! Here I give you my full review! of a great band! Delain! With a great voice of Charlotte Wessel!

Here my review!

 

1. "Here Come the Vultures"

 

I like the entrance, is very strong these guitar riffs give the characteristic touch of this new album, which really impressed us from the beginning with dense guitars, and a heavy battery, the passage of the song is average and the lovely voice Charlotte! That i say! Clear voice with excellent tone and rhythm between the song and his voice.

 

2. "Your Body Is a Battleground" (with Marco Hietala)

 

A faster song, with more presence in excellent heavy rhythm guitars, with the voice of Marco gives you more strength, duo mark / Charlotte gives voice in terms of both a good harmony vocals are clean, I like the step between guitars / voice and drums make the song sound more heavy!

 

3. "Stardust"

 

Undoubtedly it is the song disc icon, excellent more Rockera melodic relaxed entrance where we can hear the voice of Charlotte with strengths in the track, in fact it is more catchy song, the guitars and drums faster, time song voice.

 

 

4. "My Masquerade"

 

A quick cool song and more dense Rocker song sound between guitar riffs! Harmonious with excellent combination of sound and rhythm of voice, the voice of Charlotte light and clean!

 

5. "Tell Me, Mechanist" (with George Oosthoek)

 

I like the entrance, a flashy keyboard, guitars present with the same speed and rhythm heavy sound, the powerful voice of George is always awesome, give it a heavier feel to the song and voice combined a touch of Charlotte malicious

 

6. "Sing to Me" (with Marco Hietala)

 

Check sublime voice, then those guitars with the same heavy beat, regular speed, the voice of Charlotte without losing power! Marco's voice gives a hard and similar in rhythm to the second song in sound and style, with a greater presence in the voice of Charlotte.

 

7. "Army of Dolls"

 

Good song, more melodic style similar to previous yes and sound between heavy and rhythmic, forceful voice of Charlotte, in fact at greater length in time and the track

 

8. "Lullaby"

 

Melodic and heavy song, with rhythm and sound like some previous tracks similar times, in excellent voice, without loss of speed or power, also more presence!

 

9. "The Tragedy of the Commons" (with Alissa White-Gluz)

 

A heavy song, compared to some of this album, I like the pace of dense guitars combining the powerful voice of Alissa! In fact the style of this excellent song is similar to the 5-song, just a bit of combination style vocals, voice clean and lightweight Charlotte makes good combination with this style of vocals! Track speed is intermediate.

10. "Scarlet"

 

A very subtle ballad, emotive, piano excellent company and again we hear the voice of Charlotte with clarity, smooth with a clear background.

 

 

11. "Do not Let Go"

 

A catchy and rhythmic song! Melodic guitars with good presence, not being so heavy but with a powerful sound and presence, Charlotte's voice remained soft lightly blunt!

intermediate melodic rhythms with a chorus that accompanies the beautiful voice of Charlotte!

My recommendation

 

It's heavier than the previous record, for me I think this album has been one of the best of the band, The Goth / Symphonic Metal style is more mature in this great album, every one of his albums has evolved and style, has all the songs are atmospheric inputs with a similar background, the disc is continuous, Charlotte's voice is soft, melodic, clean and white which does not lose forcefulness throughout the album, she has a classical training and jazz which shows his perfect performance, controlled in time and tone, she has the most demanding as other symphonic bands / Goth metal voice. But this album makes a perfect combination with their voices and showing great skill especially in the ballad'' Scarlet''.

 

The dominant style on this album is the heaviness of the guitar riffs and keyboards predominantly a skill with a battery present, I can not make comparisons as other reviews which this record or this song seems like the Delain's particular style, with many influences from other genres or other groups within the scene, the orchestral songs'' Sing to me'' and'' Your Body is a Battleground'' give it that touch of Symphony Soundtrack very good guy!

 

+ The Good

 

  It is a well structured album musically is continuous, with a rhythm and speed moderate constant, strong and catchy songs, with soft and later heavy entries, which clearly shows your style, do not change the style of some songs in the songs live refer to April Rain which show three representative songs, more the orchestral versions.

 

-The Bad

 

Is that some songs are similar in musical style and good wish it had more songs from this production

 

Originality and Creativity

 

The combinations of voices is creative, which shows the ability and as the voice of our friend Charlotte mates! In originality is regular, there are some similarities in lyrical concept of the album and I like it, I agree!

 

Technique

 

Good handling of instruments throughout the album, I hear forcefully displaying and transmitting what our beautiful friend Charlotte plays with their guitars, drums and keyboard electronics

 

Vocal: Soprano type light on the scale, good vocal technique to acute moderate-high

             remains constant throughout the album, the guttural side are perfect, give it a touch of evil and heavy songs, showing how that fits any type of voice, type Power with voices like Marco! O Death / Clean type Alissa and George Oosthoek

 

Cover Art: striking, mysterious and showing Charlotte's face with an expression between the mystical and life, tells us what the theme of the album is about.

Saludos! Amigos! Aquí les dejo mi reseña completa! De una gran banda! Delain! Con una gran voz de Charlotte Wessel!

Aquí mi reseña!

 

1. "Here Come the Vultures" 

Me gusta la entrada, es muy fuerte esos riffs de guitarra le dan el toque característico de este nuevo álbum, que realmente desde el principio nos impresiona con guitarras densas, y una batería pesada, el paso de la canción es regular y la encantadora voz de Charlotte! Que decir! Voz limpia con excelente timbre y ritmo, entre la canción y su voz. 

2. "Your Body Is a Battleground" (con Marco Hietala) 

Una canción más rápida, con más presencia en guitarras excelente ritmo pesado, con la voz de Marco le da más fuerza, el duo Marco/Charlotte le da en términos de voz una buena armonía ambas voces son limpias, me gusta el paso entre guitarras/voz y batería, la hacen sonar más pesada la canción! 

3. "Stardust" 

Sin lugar a dudas es la canción icono del disco, excelente entrada más relajada más Rockera y melódica en donde podemos escuchar la voz de Charlotte con mayor dominio en la pista, de hecho es más pegadiza la canción, las guitarras y baterías con mayor rapidez, en tiempo canción y voz. 


4. "My Masquerade" 

Una canción rápida, genial y con mayor sonido Rockero denso entre los riffs de guitarras! Armoniosa con excelente combinación entre el ritmo de sonido y voz, la voz de Charlotte ligera y limpia! 


5. "Tell Me, Mechanist" ( con George Oosthoek) 

Me agrada la entrada, un teclado llamativo, las guitarras presentes con la misma velocidad en ritmo y sonido pesado, la poderosa voz de George siempre es imponente, le dan un toque pesado a la canción y en combinación de la voz de Charlotte le un toque malévolo 


6. "Sing to Me" ( con Marco Hietala) 

Entrada sublime en voz, posteriormente esas guitarras con el mismo ritmo pesado, velocidad regular, la voz de Charlotte sin perder potencia! La voz de Marco le da un fuerza y parecido en ritmo a la segunda canción, en sonido y estilo, con mayor presencia en voz de Charlotte. 


7. "Army of Dolls" 

Buena canción, estilo semejante a los anteriores, más melódica eso sí y sonido entre pesado y rítmico, la voz de Charlotte contundente, de hecho con mayor extensión en tiempo y la pista 


8. "Lullaby" 

Melódica y pesada la canción, sonido semejante con ritmo y tiempos parecidos algunos tracks anteriores, en voz excelente, sin pérdida de velocidad o potencia, también con mayor presencia! 


9. "The Tragedy of the Commons" (con Alissa White-Gluz) 

Una canción pesada, a comparación de algunas de este álbum, me gusta el ritmo de guitarras densas en combinación de la poderosa voz de Alissa! De hecho el estilo de esta excelente canción es parecida a la 5 canción, solo un poco por el estilo de combinación en voces, la voz de Charlotte limpia y ligera hace buena combinación con este estilo de voces! La velocidad de la canción es intermedia.

10. "Scarlet" 

Una balada muy sutil, emotiva, excelente compañía de piano y una vez más podemos escuchar la voz de Charlotte con mayor claridad, suave con un trasfondo claro. 

11. "Don't Let Go" 

Una canción pegadiza y rítmica! Melódica con buena presencia de guitarras, no siendo tan pesada pero con un sonido impactante y con presencia, la voz de Charlotte manteniéndose suave con ligereza pero contundente!

15. "Sever (En vivo desde Haarlem)" excelente cancion en vivo con guturales de fondo, guitarras pesadas y ritmos melódicos intermedios con un coro que acompaña la bella voz de Charlotte, suave!

Mi recomendación

 

Es un disco más pesado que los anteriores, a mi gusto creo que este álbum ha sido uno de los mejores de la banda, El estilo Goth/Symphonic Metal es más maduro en este gran álbum, cada uno de sus álbumes tiene una evolución y estilo, tiene es todas las canciones entradas atmosféricas con un trasfondo semejante, el disco es continuo, la voz de Charlotte es suave, melódica, limpia y blanca el cual no pierde contundencia en todo el disco, ella tiene una formación clásica y  jazz el cual nos muestra su rendimiento perfecto, controlada en tiempos y en tono,  ella no tiene la voz más exigente como en otras bandas de metal sinfónico/Goth. Pero en este álbum hace una perfecta combinación con sus voces mostrando gran habilidad y sobre todo en la balada ‘’Scarlet’’.

 

El estilo que predomina en este álbum es la pesadez de los riffs de guitarra y con una habilidad en teclados predominante junto a una batería muy presente, no puedo hacer comparaciones como otras reseñas el cual este disco se parece o esta canción es semejante a, el estilo es particular de Delain, con muchas influencias de otros géneros o de otros grupos dentro de la escena,  la parte orquestal de las canciones ‘’Sing to me’’ y ‘’Your Body is a Battleground’’ le dan ese toque de Sinfónico muy bueno tipo Soundtrack!

 

 

+ Lo bueno

 

 Es un disco bien estructurado, musicalmente es continuo,  con un ritmo y velocidad moderado constante, con canciones fuertes y pegadizas, con entradas suaves y posteriormente pesadas, el cual muestra claramente su estilo, no cambian el estilo de algunas canciones, en las canciones incluidas en vivo hacen referencia a April Rain el cual nos muestran con tres canciones representativas, más las versiones orquestales.

 

-Lo malo

 

Es que algunas canciones, son semejantes en el estilo musical y bueno me hubiera gustado que hubieran más canciones de esta producción

 

Originalidad y Creatividad

 

La combinaciones de voces es creativo, el cual nos muestra la habilidad y como se acopla la voz de nuestra amiga Charlotte! En originalidad es regular, hay ciertas similitudes, en la lírica y el concepto del disco me gusta, estoy de acuerdo!

 

Técnica

 

Buen manejo de instrumentos, en todo el álbum, los escucho con contundencia, mostrando y trasmitiendo lo que interpreta nuestra hermosa amiga Charlotte, con sus guitarras, batería y elementos electrónicos del teclado

 

Vocal: tipo soprano ligera dentro de la escala, buena técnica vocal hacia un agudo moderado-alto se mantiene constante en todo el álbum, la parte gutural son perfectas, le dan un toque malévolo y pesado a las canciones,  mostrando como que se acopla a cualquier tipo de voz, junto a voces tipo Power como la de Marco! O tipo Death/Limpia de Alissa y de George Oosthoek

 

Cover Art: muy llamativo, misterioso y mostrando el rostro de Charlotte con una expresión entre lo místico y la vida, nos dice de lo que se trata la temática del disco.
