Helsinki based 2017 founded melodic metal band Averlanche has released their debut album ‘Life’s Phenomenon‘. The album contains 10 easily approachable songs that combine heavy metal guitars and catchy melodies.

Rebecca comments on the album:

“We started working on our debut album almost two years ago when we first contacted Hiili Hiilesmaa. Through his help we managed to create exactly the album we had envisioned. Soundwise “Life’s Phenomenon” is a trip back to the time when we started to listen to metal music. We didn’t try to invent anything new or sound like other modern metal bands. For this album we just wanted to go back to our roots and play the kind of music we enjoyed listening to back in the days.”

“Life’s Phenomenon” was produced, mixed and mastered by Hiili Hiilesmaa who has worked with bands like HIM, Moonspell, Sentenced and Apocalyptica. It was recorded at Studio Watercastle by Arttu Sarvanne in fall 2019.

Imagined Nothing

Excellent melodic, rhythmic, catchy beginning, with a slightly symphonic style, Rebecca's voice is soft, light and very catchy!

The Diamond Hills

A faster, more rhythmic beginning, strong chords and without losing that melodic part, Rebecca's voice immediately making presence, use of keyboards is remarkable, they have a very melodic style without a doubt.

The Sounds of Insomnia

A lighter track, soft sounds with a slow rhythm, constant time signature and there is heaviness in those scales and chords, even more melodic melodic.

Circus

A song full of melodic and super catchy sounds, sounds and soft rhythms, a bit similar to the previous track, the narrative part accompanied by piano is very sublime along with that discreet and passionate riff.

Hate

A little more energy, punch in that drum kit and a little more robust chords, the speed changes dramatically! Without losing that melodic part that distinguishes a lot in all the tracks that the album shows us.

It will be! An acoustic beginning, soft, slow and with a melancholic atmosphere, in the beautiful voice of Rebecca, the ballad.

We return with more energy, a little more power and musical appeal, melody and softness with each musical note, the musical hallmark of the band is distinguished in its entirety.

Rain Factory

In this track the continuity of the album is broken a little, a little more force in the drums, chords, with a constant speed, keyboards, riffs and a little harsh the melody, Rebecca's voice approaches and dances to the musical beat.

Archives of Love

Another song with a semblance of a musical ballad, soft, acoustic and slow pace that little by little increases in force with slight changes in speed, a passionate and catchy song.

Ghost

A good closing of this album, with a song full of energy, with a lot of melody like the other songs.

My Recomendation

An album full of melodies with a similarity in rhythm and time signature, a melodic album, with a strong base of rock / alternative melodic metal, a bit at times oriented to power / symphonic metal, it is an album with a strong musical continuity, keyboards , soft or robust riffs, sound also strong and with a fairly present drums, all the songs on the album are very well elaborated and catchy without losing that melodic part that they themselves comment, the band Averlanche has great musical potential, with a excellent command of the instruments for this first release with the originality of each of the members and a good production!

The Voice

Rebecca's voice is splendid, timbre and vibrato smooth, clean and white, her falsetto is not very durable as the musical scale increases, her voice remains discreet and that's fine.

La banda de metal melódico fundada en Helsinki en 2017, Averlanche, lanzó su álbum debut "Life’s Phenomenon". El álbum contiene 10 canciones fácilmente accesibles que combinan guitarras de heavy metal y melodías pegadizas.

Rebecca comenta sobre el álbum:

“Empezamos a trabajar en nuestro álbum debut hace casi dos años cuando contactamos por primera vez a Hiili Hiilesmaa. Gracias a su ayuda, logramos crear exactamente el álbum que habíamos imaginado. Soundwise "Life’s Phenomenon" es un viaje a la época en que empezamos a escuchar música metal. No intentamos inventar nada nuevo o sonar como otras bandas de metal moderno. Para este álbum solo queríamos volver a nuestras raíces y tocar el tipo de música que disfrutábamos escuchando en el pasado ".

"Life’s Phenomenon" fue producido, mezclado y masterizado por Hiili Hiilesmaa, quien ha trabajado con bandas como HIM, Moonspell, Sentenced y Apocalyptica. Fue grabado en Studio Watercastle por Arttu Sarvanne en otoño de 2019.

Excelente inicio melódico, rítmico, pegadizo, con un estilo un poco sinfónico, la voz de Rebecca es suave, ligera y muy pegadiza!

The Diamond Hills

Un inicio más acelerado, más rítmico, acordes fuertes y sin perder esa parte melódica, la voz de Rebecca inmediatamente haciendo presencia, uso de teclados es notable, tienen un estilo muy melódico sin duda.

Una pista más ligera, sonidos suaves con un ritmo lento, compas constante y hay pesadez en esas escalas y acordes, melódica aún más melódica.

Una canción llena de sonidos melódicos y súper pegadizos, sonidos y ritmos suaves, un poco semejante a la pista anterior, la parte narrativa acompañada de piano es muy sublime junto a ese riff discreto y apasionado.

Hate

Un poco de más energía, fuerza en esa batería y acordes un poco más robustos, la velocidad cambia de forma espectacular! Sin perder esa parte melódica que distingue mucho en todas las pistas que nos muestra el álbum.

Flowers

Sera acaso! Un inicio acústico, suave, lento y con una atmosfera melancólica, en la bella voz de Rebecca, la balada.

Volvemos con más energía, un poco de mayor potencia y atractivo musical, melodía y suavidad con cada nota musical, el sello musical de la banda se distingue en su totalidad.

Rain Factory

En esta pista se rompe un poco la continuidad del álbum, un poco más de fuerza en la batería, acordes, con una velocidad constante, teclados, riffs y un poco dura la melodía, la voz de Rebecca se acerca y baila al compás musical.

Archives of Love

Otra canción con un semblante de balada musical, suave, acústica y a ritmo lento que poco a poco aumente en fuerza con cambios leves en velocidad, una canción pasional y pegadiza.

Ghost

Un buen cierre de este álbum, con una canción llena de energía, con mucha melodía como las demás canciones.

Mi Recomendación

Un álbum lleno de melodías con una similitud en el ritmo y compás, un álbum melódico, con una fuerte base de rock/metal melódico alternativo, un poco por momentos orientados al power/symphonic metal, es una álbum con una fuerte continuidad musical, teclados, riffs suaves o robustos, sonido también fuerte y con una batería bastante presente, todas las canciones del álbum, están muy bien elaboradas y son pegadizas sin perder esa parte melódica que ellos mismos comentan, la banda Averlanche tiene un gran potencial musical, con un excelente dominio de los instrumentos para este primer lanzamiento con la originalidad de cada uno de los integrantes y una buena producción!

La Voz

La voz de Rebecca es esplendida, timbre y vibrato suave, limpia y blanca, su falsete no es muy duradero en cuanto aumenta la escala musical, se mantiene discreta su voz y eso está bien.
