Official Bio

 

All This Filth is an australian band that combines different genres and subgenres of metal including Groove Metal, Thrash, Hardcore, Death Metal, Industrial Metal and even hints of Sludge and Nü-Metal. Strongly influenced by bands such as Fear Factory, Chimaira and Sepultura, the essence of what metal really means is expressed sonically through the crushing riffs, solid drums and ballsy bass, while being dynamically shaped with electronic keys and audio samples.

 

This band presented their second album "Misery Season" which was published in March 2019 where the band became involved in the process of musical composition of the album, the lyric part was developed by vocalist Brendan Preston.

Stay

 

A song that evokes melancholy through the sound of rain combined with the piano and includes the voices of Brendan Preston, as well as some electronic elements.

 

This Is Misery

 

This feeling that they evoke in Stay transforms it a song that denotes power and aggressiveness from the first minute through guitar riffs and the performance of the drums strongly influenced by Trash, Death and Industrial Metal that combine perfectly with the guttural voices.

 

I Still Hate

 

This song is played with the guitar chords reminding us of one of their main musical influences that is Sepultura, although retaining its own style that they have developed since their first album, the guitar solo that is presented in the middle part of the song it adds power.

 

Slave State

 

The introduction of electronic elements is present in this song from the first seconds increasing progressively as the other musical instruments make their appearance. In the middle part of the song there is a drastic change of sound where the bass stands out through the execution of some chords and again takes up the power that had developed at the beginning of this, but now it is the drums that take the main role.

 

Reject The Machine

 

A song that stands out for the power in its instrumental part product of the diversity in its musical influences, in this case, we can appreciate some chords that go back to the Nü-Metal. The vocal part stands out for the rhythm it creates and at the lyrical level it presents the current social situation.

 

So broken

 

A song that evokes another of his musical influences that is the trash metal in the instrumental part, and that also adds some melodic elements as in the guitar solo. Brendan Preston impresses in the vocal part when playing with the guttural and clean voices part throughout the song.

 

Drowning

 

In this song it presents some melodic elements from its first chords, it is one of the most versatile songs of the album due to the constant changes of sound. In the middle part, a slow melody becomes more aggressive as it progresses.

 

The Lonely Season

 

The sound of the rain is present accompanied by a female voice whose narration arouses feelings of frustration and hatred product of loneliness.

 

Misery Season

 

As if it were a second part of this album, the song that titled this second musical work of the band is presented and that constitutes one of the longest-running songs. Dominated by the development of electronic elements at the instrumental level, this resource is also used in the vocal part adding more drama, it is a melody that starts slowly but adds power through the guitars and bass. The melodic part is present in the middle of the song evoking the rain again and which has a strong influence on the industrial metal.

 

Absence Of Light

 

The use of electronic elements is fused with the other musical instruments, in which the keyboard stands out for the melodic chords it performs. On a vocal level, the development of the guttural by his singer arouses negative feelings such as despair or hatred. A well accomplished song that shows the potential of the band at the musical and lyrical level.

 

I Am The Fortress

 

Again, the rain is evoked, although it is combined with the powerful sound of the band and the aggressiveness of Brendan Preston in the voices. Some electronic elements are heard that combine perfectly with the rhythm created in the song that closes this album and summarizes the musical proposal developed throughout it.

 

My Recommendation:

 

The diversity of musical influences of this australian band has created a unique sound that is present in every song in this album. Each song is its own universe characterized by the versatility in sounds and voices. All This Filth is a proposal that would be worth listening to because the development of their latest work is at the level of an international band.

All This Filth es una banda de origen australiano que combina diferentes géneros y subgéneros del metal incluidos Groove Metal, Thrash, Hardcore, Death Metal, Metal Industrial e incluso toques de Sludge y Nü-Metal. Fuertemente influenciado por bandas como Fear Factory, Chimaira y Sepultura, la esencia de lo que realmente significa el metal se expresa sónicamente a través de riffs aplastantes, tambores sólidos y graves suaves aunado a la inclusión de elementos electrónicos en su música.

 

Esta agrupación presentó su segundo álbum “Misery Season” que fue publicado en marzo de 2019 donde la banda se involucró en el proceso de composición musical del álbum, la parte lírica fue desarrollada por su vocalista Brendan Preston en su totalidad.

Una canción que evoca a la melancolía a través del sonido de la lluvia combinado con el piano y que también incluye las voces de Brendan Preston, así como algunos elementos electrónicos.

Este sentimiento que evocan en la canción se transforma una canción que denota potencia y agresividad desde el primer minuto a través de riffs de guitarra y la ejecución de la batería fuertemente influenciados por el Trash, Death e Industrial Metal que combinan a la perfección con las voces guturales de su vocalista.

 

I Still Hate

 

En esta canción se juega con los acordes de la guitarra recordándonos a una de sus principales influencias musicales que es Sepultura, aunque conservando su propio estilo que han desarrollado desde su primer álbum, el solo de guitarra que se presenta en la parte intermedia de la canción le añade potencia.

 

Slave State

 

La introducción de elementos electrónicos se hace presente en esta canción desde los primeros segundos aumentando progresivamente a medida que los demás instrumentos musicales hacen su aparición. En la parte intermedia de la canción se presenta un cambio drástico de sonido donde el bajo resalta mediante la ejecución de algunos acordes y nuevamente retoma la potencia que había desarrollado al inicio de esta, pero ahora es la batería la que toma el papel principal.

 

Reject The Machine

 

Una canción que destaca por la potencia en su parte instrumental producto de la diversidad en sus influencias musicales, en este caso, podemos apreciar algunos acordes que nos remontan al Nü-Metal. La parte vocal destaca por la rítmica que crea y a nivel lírico presenta la situación social actual.

 

So Broken

 

Una canción que evoca a otra de sus influencias musicales que es el trash metal en la parte instrumental, y que también añade algunos elementos melódicos como en el solo de la guitarra. Brendan Preston impresiona en la parte boca al jugar con la parte gutural y limpia a lo largo de la canción.

 

Drowning

 

En esta canción presenta algunos elementos melódicos desde sus primeros acordes, es una de las canciones más versátiles del álbum por los constantes cambios de sonido. En la parte intermedia se torna una melodía lenta que va adquiriendo mayor agresividad conforme avanza.

El sonido de la lluvia se hace presente acompañado de una voz femenina cuya narración despierta sentimientos de frustración y odio producto de la soledad.

 

Misery Season

 

Como si se tratara de una segunda parte de este álbum se presenta la canción que titula a este segundo trabajo musical de la banda y que constituye una de las canciones de mayor duración. Dominado por el desarrollo de elementos electrónicos a nivel instrumental, también se recurre a este recurso en la parte vocal agregándole mayor dramatismo, es una melodía que comienza lentamente pero que añade potencia a través de las guitarras y el bajo. La parte melódica se hace presente a mitad de la canción evocando nuevamente a la lluvia y que presenta una fuerte influencia por el metal industrial.

 

Absence Of Light

 

El empleo de los elementos electrónicos se fusiona con los demás instrumentos musicales, en la que el teclado destaca por los acordes melódicos que ejecuta. A nivel vocal, el desarrollo de los guturales por parte de su cantante despierta sentimientos negativos como la desesperación o el odio. Una canción bien lograda que da muestra del potencial de la banda a nivel musical y lírico.

 

I Am The Fortress

 

Nuevamente se evoca a la lluvia, aunque se combina con el sonido potente de la banda y la agresividad de Brendan Preston en las voces. Se escuchan algunos elementos electrónicos que combinan a la perfección con la rítmica creada en la canción que cierra este álbum y que resume la propuesta musical desarrollada a lo largo del mismo.

 

Mi Recomendación:

 

La diversidad de influencias musicales de esta banda australiana ha creado un sonido único y que se presente en cada una de las canciones de este álbum. Cada canción es un universo propio caracterizado por la versatilidad en sonidos y voces. All This Filth es una propuesta que valdría la pena escuchar porque el desarrollo de su último trabajo está al nivel de una banda de carácter internacional.
