Greetings friends! This week I bring you an interesting talk with a very talented singer in the Death Metal, fatal and captivating! Polina Psycheya, singer of the band All I Could Bleed! of Russia!

 

So, go with the interview!

 

Hello there! My friend! It is a pleasure! Thank you very much! For this opportunity!

 

Tell us who is Polina, behind that of powerful voice?

 

Heil from Russia, friend! Polina Psycheya is Polina Psycheya, my voice comes from the depths of my soul, I’m not hiding behind it and not doing it just for shocking.

 

Which is your formation is your voice? As you train your voice?

 

When I came in «All I Could Bleed» band I was offered use an extreme vocal, I even didn’t try it previously. After tasting, I knew exactly what it was mine. My "trainings" are only on the rehearsals, I never studied growling\scream, I just know how to do it, I feel it. It’s important to find a "common language" with your body, no one textbook or articles never explain you how to use extreme vocal without own detriment, except yourself.

 

What are your hobbies? Polina who is outside of the stage? Do you live with your music or You have another job?

 

I want to combine these two questions, because they are close in meaning. I’m an artist and costume designer, sportswoman. But I wouldn’t have to separate the interests of the band, all what I do is interconnected.  My skills anyway embedded in «All I Could Bleed». Well and accordingly my identity cannot either as separate from the band. In my music, me on stage it's just me, as I said earlier. I don’t wear a mask, perhaps even take off my mask imposed by everyday life.

 

What are your influences? What are your favorite singers?

 

It was always a difficult question for me, I have a lot of favorites from heavy to classical music. I think a short answer will be quite banal. I was strongly influenced by musicians and singerf from «Rammstein», «Metallica», «Death», «Pantera», «Children Of Bodom», «Arkona» (I cannot mention my brothers), «Motorhead», early Mylene Farmer, he he, and so on. Can we not dilute an alphabet of bands?)

 

What does mean the name of the band?

 

Hard to say what it means for other musicians from «AICB», because this name was given 10 years ago, and I'm in the band 5 years. Well, for me it has the most direct value-all I could express by blood. All I could say on language of aggression, the most expressive of existing in whole world. And I do it.

 

Have a powerful voice! You have beautiful eyes! and you're very attractive, as you can combine all of that within a genre like Death Metal?

 

Why not? I totally belong to the world of heavy music and I'll never go out of it. Appearance is just a gift by nature, like a bonus. Death Metal is a state of my mind, not commerce or something like that ... it's just a huge part of me. And I'm happy that I have an opportunity to be not just a listener, but also to be an executor of my favorite genre. I have an opportunity to express my words and thoughts publicly with all inherent to me aggression.

 

In 2011 you released the album "Burying the Past", when there will be some video? Such acceptance the album?

 

We don’t plan to shot a video on « Burying the Past », because this album is already outdated, and we go forward. Video will necessarily accompany the upcoming album.

 

Exist some concept behind the album, some songs you wrote?

 

Concept of the lyrics in "Burying the Past" is description of a certain periods of my life, deeply hidden under a veil of speech turns. I wrote it to would bury my past and start a new round of my life. The second album will be completely different from the first, including lyrics, it was the only copy of the "about me." But I want to add that I never wrote and I will never write about love and other nonsense-it is really an important point.

 

I've heard you've been compared to Angela Gossow, you think of this?

 

I really enrage, when someone begin to compare me with Angela. We have nothing except female sex. She is not the first woman in metal, as I of course. I would be more pleased to hear comparisons with Chuck Schuldiner, for example) Superficial comparison only because we are both women with extreme vocal is absurd... By the way, I hear about her existence only a few years ago, when I started to get frank comparisons, so she is neither my idol,  and even more so as an example. But don't think that I hate "Arch Enemy", I respect all of my colleagues, even if I don't listen their music.

 

Tell us about your experience with Children of Bodom concert? I saw on your tour here in Latin America, good!

 

It was really awesome. We were played on the best scene of Yekaterinburg, before a huge warmed crowd, who met us with dignity. In the dressing room we were constantly with "Children Of Bodom", with our childhood's idols. They are true professionals on stage and behind the stage are very open and friendly people. Just gorgeous. We talked with everyone, got autographs in several copies, guitar picks, and we even hold the legendary Alexi Laiho's guitar. I look forward to play with them again and again, including in Latin America someday) I know that there waiting for us, and we are waiting for this visit.

 

How is the Russian Metal scene, in special of Death Metal? I always see lots of experimental bands coming from Russia

 

In Russia everything is bad actually, we don't have metal scene as such, and nothing supports its existence. Bands cease to fight for survival, break, lose talents. The only one, who really broke into the world, is "Arkona", but they came to this more 10 years. I should add that in Russia began to suppress the heavy music and start to prohibit concerts of metal bands. Therefore I see the prospect for "All I Could Bleed" only abroad.

 

What are the plans to the band in the next years? Release something new, we can expect surprises, Tours or Video

 

We shot the concert DVD, when we played with "Children Of Bodom", now expect when it will be complete assemble. At the same time recording of new album is on full swing and very soon it will be released. It will very diverse and powerful album, in my opinion. Ideally, it would be nice to go on tour to support the album, but I cannot promise anything, because we haven't yet signed a contract with the manager.

Saludos amigos! Esta semana os traigo una charla interesante con una cantante muy talentosa dentro del Death Metal, fatal y cautivadora! Polina Psycheya, cantante de la banda All I Could Bleed!! de Rusia!

 

Así, que vamos con la entrevista!

 

Hola querida amiga, como estas?

 

Es un placer, muchas gracias por la oportunidad.

 

Cuéntanos, quien es Polina? Que hay detrás de esa poderosa voz?

 

La salvación desde Rusia, mi amigo Polina Psycheya es Polina Psycheya, mi voz viene desde las profundidades de mi alma.

No me escondo detrás de ella, no lo hago solo para impresionar.

 

Como entrenas tu voz?

 

Cuando entre en la banda "All i could bleed", me ofrecieron usar vocales extremos y yo no lo había intentado antes. Después de probar, supe que eso era lo mío.

Mis "entrenamientos" son básicamente en los ensayos, nunca estudie los gritos y gruñidos, simplemente se cómo hacerlo, lo siento desde el interior.

Es importante encontrar un "lenguaje en común" con tu cuerpo, ningún libro o articulo te explica cómo usar vocales extremos sin detrimento, solo tú mismo.

 

Cuáles son tus hobbies? Quien es Polina fuera del escenario? Vives de la música o tienes otro trabajo?

 

Quiero combinar ambas preguntas, porque tienen un significado similar. Soy artista, diseñadora de vestuario y mujer deportista.

Pero no tengo que separar estos intereses con la banda, todo lo que hago tiene una conexión. Mis habilidades encajaron perfectamente en All i could bleed.

En la música, cuando subo al escenario, soy yo! como dije antes, no uso mascara.

 

Cuáles son tus influencias? Cuáles son tus cantantes favoritos?

 

Es una pregunta difícil, porque tengo muchos favoritos desde lo más pesado hasta música clásica. Siento que una respuesta corta sería bastante banal.

Me influencié por artistas como Rammstein, Metallica, Deathy, Pantera, Children of bodom, Arkona, Motorhead y muchos más.

 

Que significa el nombre de la banda?

 

Es difícil decir que significa para otros miembros de la banda, porque este nombre le fue dado hace 10 años y yo llevo en ella apenas 5 años.

Para mí, tiene el valor más directo sobre lo que se puede expresar hacia la sangre. Todo lo que se puede decir en un lenguaje agresivo, lo más expresivo de la existencia en el mundo entero.

 

Tienes una poderosa voz! unos ojos hermosos! y eres muy atractiva, como puedes combinar todo esto dentro de un género como el Death metal?

 

Y por qué no podría? pertenezco totalmente al mundo de la música pesada y nunca lo dejare, la apariencia es solo un regalo que la naturaleza te da, es un bono.

El death metal es un estado mental, no es comercial ni nada por el estilo, es simplemente una gran parte de mí. Estoy feliz de tener la oportunidad de no solo escucharlo, si no de crearlo.

Tengo la oportunidad de expresar mis palabras y pensamientos públicamente.

 

En el año 2011 lanzaron el álbum "Burying the past", habrá algún vídeo de ese material? 

 

La verdad no planeamos grabar vídeo para este álbum, porque tiene mucho tiempo que salió y estamos en busca de avanzar hacia algo nuevo.   

Cuál es el concepto detrás de ese álbum? Escribiste algunas canciones?

Las letras de "Burying the past" son una descripción de ciertos periodos de mi vida, profundamente oculto bajo un velo de giros del habla. Lo escribí para poder enterrar mi pasado y comenzar un nuevo capítulo en mi vida.

El segundo álbum será completamente distinto, incluyendo las letras, digamos que ese álbum fue y será el único que habla de mí.

Quisiera agregar que nunca he escrito, ni escribiré sobre amor o cualquier otra cosa sin sentido.

 

He escuchado que te comparan con Angela Gossow, qué opinas de esto?

 

Me enfurezco cuando alguien empieza a compararme con Angela. No tenemos nada en común, excepto el sexo femenino.

Ella no fue la primera mujer en el metal, ni yo lo soy. Estaría más complacida de que me compararan con alguien como Chuck Schuldiner.

Es absurdo que nos comparen superficialmente, solo porque ambas somos mujeres con vocales extremas, por cierto que supe de su existencia hace apenas unos años.

Pero no crean que detesto Arch Enemy, yo respeto a todos mis colegas, incluso si no he escuchado su música.

 

Háblanos de tu experiencia en el concierto con Children of bodom, y de tu experiencia en Latinoamérica.

 

Fue increíble! Tocamos en el mejor escenario de Yekaterinburg ante un enorme público que ya estaba entrado en calor.

En los vestidores pasamos tiempo con Children of bodom, nuestros ídolos de infancia, en el escenario son muy profesionales y fuera de él son muy abiertos y amistosos.

Hablamos con todos, obtuvimos muchos autógrafos e incluso sostuvimos la guitarra del legendario Alexi Laiho.

Estoy en busca de volver a tocar con ellos, también de regresar a Latinoamérica, sé que nos esperan y nosotros a ustedes también.

 

Como es la escena del metal en Rusia actualmente? Siempre me encuentro con bandas experimentales rusas.

Actualmente todo está mal en Rusia, no hay una escena metalera como tal y nadie apoya su existencia.

Las bandas dejan de luchar, dejan de existir, se rompen y se pierden talentos. La única que verdaderamente ha sobresalido es Arkona.

Quisiera agregar que en Rusia, empezaron a reprimir a la música pesada y empezaron a prohibir conciertos de bandas de metal.

Es por eso que visualizo  "All i could bleed" solo en el extranjero.

 

Cuáles son los planes de la banda para los siguientes años? lanzaran algo nuevo? tour o video?

 

Grabamos un concierto en DVD de cuando tocamos con Children of bodom, ahora estamos en espera de que esté listo.

Al mismo tiempo estamos grabando un nuevo álbum y muy pronto lo lanzaremos. En mi opinión, será muy diverso y poderoso.

Sería increíble ir en un tour a promocionar el álbum, pero no puedo prometer que sucederá, porque aún no hemos firmado contrato con el manager.
