Canada’s Death Perception released a blisteringly fast album this 2021, entitled “Ashes”, off which, they have recently released a music video for the single “Ashes To Mourn”.

​

The album “Ashes” has been five years in the making and can be seen as a massive growth spurt for the band, who have expanded melodically as well as touched on deeper subject matter in their writing while maintaining their original sound. They are in a completely new direction, have been experimenting with new studios, new album artists, new gear, and new perspectives, and they have grown considerably.

​

Unnerving and forceful, Death Perception doesn't pull any punches when it comes to their take on death metal. They cover a lot of themes throughout their lyrics and combine them with punishing riffs, melodic creaks, and unforgiving vocals, guaranteed to get you banging your head.

​

Excellent and explosive start with a brutal scream! A well performed Melodic / Groove Death Metal, the attack of the drums, fast and heavy chords in a rhythmic and beastly way!

​

Scars Over Skin

​

They slow down a bit in speed and explosiveness, they continue with the melodic rhythm, structured, strong and hard, the drums continue to lead.

​

In Plain Sight

​

We return with weight, power and aggressiveness, bass and linear chords at times, the drums with a lot of weight opening the compass and bringing strength to the track.

​

No Tears for the Dead

​

Powerful input with powerful guitars in those chords in a single line and scale, the background drums with good rhythm, the rhythms are changeable from moments.

Crimson Darkness

​

Totally a somewhat unexpected change, an acoustic and atmospheric musical beginning, soft and melancholic, that later we were assaulted by powerful chords along with the drums that hit us with full power.

We return with a powerful, robust and full of chords rhythm combining the constancy of the drums, changing rhythms and on the scales.

Final Breath

It seems to me that it would be the continuation of the previous song Vermin, with a similar sound, speed and rhyme in the explosiveness and input of each chord and drums.

Ashes to Mourn

​

Ending with an acoustic, melodic beginning with a lot of style, which later surprise us with high power on the drums and more rhythmic chords, a just ending for a powerful album.

My Recomendation

​

Death Perception band left us this 2021 a powerful, explosive, strong album, with dense, continuous, heavy chords, emphasizing in some passages giving a greater scale and speed, at times Melodic rhythms, others heavier with a bit of Groove metal, a clear powerful and structured Death Metal that are close to Thrash metal rhythms, in the voice it is very forceful and deep, strong, heartbreaking and furious, just as a Death Metal of this magnitude should be, it gives us a powerful and brutal storm of Modern Death Metal, with Groove / Thrash Metal sounds with their personal stamp of the band.

La banda Death Perception de Canadá lanzó un álbum increíblemente rápido este 2021, titulado "Ashes", del cual recientemente lanzaron un video musical para el sencillo "Ashes To Mourn".

​

El álbum “Ashes” ha tardado cinco años en prepararse y puede verse como un crecimiento acelerado masivo para la banda, que se ha expandido melódicamente y ha tocado temas más profundos en sus composiciones mientras mantienen su sonido original. Están en una dirección completamente nueva, han estado experimentando con nuevos estudios, nuevos artistas, nuevos equipos y nuevas perspectivas, y han crecido considerablemente.

​

Inquietante y contundente, Death Perception no se anda con rodeos cuando se trata de su versión del death metal. Abarcan una gran cantidad de temas a lo largo de sus letras y los combinan con riffs duros, crujidos melódicos y voces implacables, garantizados para hacerte golpear la cabeza.

Excelente y explosivo inicio con un grito brutal! Un Melodic/Groove Death Metal bien efectuado, el ataque de la batería, acordes rápidos y pesados de una forma rítmica y bestial!

​

Scars Over Skin

​

Bajan un poco de velocidad y explosividad, siguen con el ritmo melódico, estructurado, fuerte y duro, la batería sigue llevando el liderato.

​

In Plain Sight

​

Volvemos con peso, potencia y agresividad, acordes graves y lineales por momentos, la batería con mucho peso abriendo el compás y llevando fuerza a la pista.

​

No Tears for the Dead

​

Entrada potente con guitarras potentes en esos acordes en una sola línea y escala, la batería de fondo con buen ritmo, los ritmos son cambiantes de momentos.

Crimson Darkness

​

Totalmente un cambio algo inesperado, un inicio musical acústico y atmosférico, suave y melancólico, que posteriormente nos asaltan acordes potentes junto a la batería que nos embate con total potencia.

​

Una tormenta entre los acordes y batería, fuerza y potencia, con cambios en tempos enfatizando un poco en esas cuerdas con altas escalas.

Wars *

​

Excelente inicio, pesado, con escala grave y potente, gritos de alto poder al inicio, una pista veloz y continua con excelente línea en las guitarras, una pista más estructurada en la composición y en el ritmo.

​

Vermin

​

Volvemos con un ritmo potente, robusto y lleno de acordes combinando la constancia de la batería, ritmos cambiantes y en las escalas.

​

Final Breath

​

Me parece que sería la continuación de la canción anterior Vermin, con un sonido, velocidad y rimo semejante en la explosividad y la entrada de cada acorde y batería.

Ashes to Mourn

​

Terminando con un inicio acústico, melódico con bastante estilo, que posteriormente nos sorprenden con alta potencia en la batería y acordes más rítmicos, un justo final para todo un albúm potente.

Mi Recomendación

​

Death Perception band nos dejó este 2021 un albúm potente, explosivo, fuerte, con acordes densos, continuos, pesados, enfatizando en algunos pasajes dando una mayor escala y velocidad, por momentos ritmos Melódicos, otros más pesados con un poco de Groove metal, un claro potente y estructurado Death Metal que se acercan a ritmos de Thrash metal, en la voz es muy contundente y profundo, fuerte, desgarradora y con furia, tal como debe de ser un Death Metal de esta magnitud, nos da una tormenta potente y brutal de Modern Death Metal, con sonidos Groove / Thrash Metal con su sello personal de la banda.
