DESPERATION BLVD is a brand new project from Italy, born from an idea of Crown (Alex Corona - guitars) and Hell (Elvis Ortolan - drums) after seveal musical experiences, completed by Matt (Matteo Martinelli - bass). The debut album is a self-titled six-tracks EP composed by five original songs and a Duran Duran classic Hold Back The Rain that immediately defines the strong personality and the style of DESPERATION BLVD. Recorded and co-produced by Michele Guaitoli (Visions of Atlantis / Temperance) at The Groove Factory Studio, it will be released on December 2020.

November Pain

 

We started very melodic musically, Rock, Rock! Hard chords, low and high riffs, harmony and soft sounds, rhythm and catchy melody!

 

Queen of Heartache

 

Harder and stronger chords, the voice a little rougher and melodic, a slightly denser rhythm with short riffs in a good combination of melody and catchy sound like the previous track.

 

Henhouse Tales

 

A little softer chords now, eighties sound and style to that glorious Hard Rock! Like Twisted Sister for example, melodic, with riffs in the middle, constant in rhythm and voice.

 

North-East Boulevard

 

Excellent musical entrance, with more energy and speed, deep, long and hard chords, sound and the same glorious style to that 80s Hard Rock combining that great Glam metal, that perfect guitar solo and it captures a lot of attention.

 

Hold Back The Rain

 

Excellent harmony, consistent, strong chords and rhythm, great background choral vocals! They remind us of that Rocker style of yesteryear, a melodic and melancholic track, a classic by Duran Duran.

 

Sorry (I don't want you)

 

And closing very hard with heavy, hard chords and now with the beautiful voice of Alessia Scolletti, excellent performance and rhythm! Pure Hard Rock and with many riffs! With melody and heaviness.

 

My Recomendation

 

Desperationblvd's album is a rich and excellent blend of hard and dense sounds and chords with lots of Hard Rock! Major keys, high and low scales, the guitar solos are a characteristic and distinctive part of each musical track, some brief and others more extensive as with Thomas Silver (Hardcore Superstar) in 'North-East Boulevard' or in 'Sorry (I Don't Want You) 'which melody and style go with each one's voice style.

 

Also in some tracks from the beginning where they are very harmonic with sounds, soft and emotional rhythms that gradually accelerate to end or include a heavier sound, with that eighties style of glam! If you are from the old school of Hard Rock like Twisted Sister, Kiss or Joan Jett & The Blackhearts you will love this band!

 

The Voice

 

The voices are in harmony and rhythm, both the male voices and Alessia's, the scales and ranges make them combine perfectly to the Hard Rock song! And they exalt the voices in combination of a hard and heavy chord to highlight the high voices in this context.

DESPERATION BLVD es un nuevo proyecto de Italia, nacido de una idea de Crown (Alex Corona - guitarras) e Hell (Elvis Ortolan - batería) después de varias experiencias musicales, completado por Matt (Matteo Martinelli - bajo). El álbum debut es un EP homónimo de seis pistas compuesto por cinco canciones originales y un clásico de Duran Duran Hold Back The Rain que define de inmediato la fuerte personalidad y el estilo de DESPERATION BLVD. Grabado y coproducido por Michele Guaitoli (Visions of Atlantis / Temperance) en The Groove Factory Studio, se lanzará en diciembre de 2020.

Arrancamos musicalmente muy melódicos, Rock, Rock! Acordes duros, riffs breves y agudos, armonía y sonidos suaves, ritmo y melodía pegajosa!  

 

Queen of Heartache

 

Acordes más duros y fuertes, la voz un poco más áspera y melódica, un ritmo un poco más denso con riffs breves en buena combinación de melodía y sonido pegajoso como la pista anterior. 

 

Henhouse Tales

 

Acordes un poco más suaves ahora, sonido y estilo ochentero a ese Hard Rock glorioso! Como Twisted Sister por ejemplo, melódico, con riffs en la parte central, constante en ritmo y voz.

 

North-East Boulevard

 

Excelente entrada musical, con más energía y velocidad, acordes profundos, largos y duros, sonido y mismo estilo glorioso a ese Hard Rock Ochentero combinando ese Glam metal grandioso, ese solo de guitarra perfecto y acapara gran parte la atención.

 

Hold Back The Rain

 

Excelente armonía, acordes constantes, fuertes y ritmo, voces corales de fondo geniales! Nos hacen recordar ese estilo Rockero de antaño, una pista melódica y melancólica, un clásico de Duran Duran.

 

Sorry (I don't want you)

 

Y cerrando muy duramente con unos acordes pesados, duros y ahora con la bella voz de Alessia Scolletti excelente interpretación y ritmo! Puro Hard Rock y con muchos riffs! Con melodía y pesadez.

 

Mi Recomendación

 

El álbum de Desperationblvd es un rico y excelente combinado de sonidos y acordes duros y densos con mucho Hard Rock! Tonalidades mayores, escalas altas y graves, los solo de la guitarra son una parte característica y distinción de cada pista musical unos breves y otros más extensos como con Thomas Silver (Hardcore Superstar) en 'North-East Boulevard' o en 'Sorry (I Don't Want You)' la cual la melodía y el estilo van con el estilo de voz de cada uno.

 

También en algunas pistas del inicio donde son muy armónicas con sonidos, ritmos suaves y emotivas que gradualmente aceleran para terminar o incluir un sonido más pesado, con ese estilo ochentero del glam! ! Si eres de la vieja escuela del Hard Rock como Twisted Sister, Kiss o Joan Jett & The Blackhearts esta banda te encantara!

 

La Voz

 

Las voces están en armonía y ritmo, tanto las voces masculinas como la de Alessia, las escalas y rangos hacen que se combinen de forma perfecta a la copla de Hard Rock! Y exaltan las voces en combinación de un acorde duro y pesado para resaltar las voces agudas en este contexto.
