Official Bio

Next Door To Heaven was formed in St. Petersburg, Russia, in 2014. The band was founded by Gene Mazunov and Dasha Mazunova. Next Door To Heaven plays progressive/alternative metal/metalcore. The band’s debut album “Let’s Dream” was released in 2016. The album made the top-20 on Google Play. That same year, the band became one of the finalists in the Emergenza International festival. Their sophomore album “V Ways To Accept” was released in June 2019 via Sliptrick Records. The band has opened for bands such as RED and Tesseract and continues to support their material with tours across Europe.

Now in 2021, the band will independently release their new EP “Inside” on March 25th, which features guest vocals from Lord Nelson (ex-Stuck Mojo).

Dark Alley

The musical input is heavy, hard, fast and sharp chords, the drums are totally brutal! Daria's voice clarifies the song, interesting very deep short riff.

Flare Up (Feat. Lord Nelson)

Excellent closing for this EP, a more complex musical beginning and from then on with abrupt tempos, conserving the same strength and with greater speed in that battery, the combination and participation of Lord Nelson makes a good vocal contrast, with greater heaviness and strength by part of him and Daria's clean voice brings the clear parts of the track.

My Recomendation

An interesting EP with an excellent participation by all the members, we have a musical nuance full of progressive metal where the guitars that in this case are only 2, with an excellently heavy bass! and with the hardness that they show us, with the rhythmic characteristics and influences of progressive rock more accentuated at times with a powerful drum beat (beat), the time changes and patterns in the drums in a strong and hard way is remarkable, those Their own chords have high distortion, guitar tracking, double pedal drums and fast rhythms, with a dose of beats, which give each song that heaviness.

Also the rhythm changes and we listen to the combination of sounds, rhythms and a bit of the changing style, and above all the gradual and progressive appearance of the instruments as in the somewhat complex and dense bass lines, a continuous and direct EP, with few pauses and with a very powerful sound.

The Voice

Daria's voice is clean, clear and with a single vowel scale, which we hear in a phenomenal and great way, the voice and music in this case are not accompanied, at times the way is opened for her voice to enter. , Lord Nelson's voice gives it a stronger and heavier character along with the clarity of Daria's voice!

Next Door To Heaven se formó en San Petersburgo, Rusia, en 2014. La banda fue fundada por Gene Mazunov y Dasha Mazunova. Next Door To Heaven toca metal progresivo / alternativo / metalcore. El álbum debut de la banda, "Let’s Dream", se lanzó en 2016. El álbum llegó al top 20 en Google Play. Ese mismo año, la banda se convirtió en una de las finalistas del festival Emergenza International. Su segundo álbum, "V Ways To Accept", fue lanzado en junio de 2019 a través de Sliptrick Records. La entrada musical es pesada, acordes duros, rápidos y agudos, la batería es totalmente brutal! La voz de Daria aclara la canción, interesante riff breve muy profundo.

Calibrate

Excelente entrada semejante a la pista anterior, pesada, acordes y batería dura! Los tempos se mezclan de forma contrastante cada uno, sin perder la parte melódica, esta pista es más rítmica y melódica.

Unleash The Bests

Ese acorde de bajo es brutal!, un inicio de la canción de forma instrumental pero después atacan con todo, llenos de acordes duros junto a esa batería que ruge!

Inside

Tenemos un inicio sublime, instrumental y un poco atmosférico, y como en la pista anterior un poderoso acorde nos da la bienvenida de forma estupenda, fuerte y dura, una canción con un poco del estilo progresivo de forma melódica y pesada!

Flare Up (Feat. Lord Nelson)

Excelente cierre para este EP, un inicio musical más complejo y de ahí en adelante con tempos bruscos, conservando la misma fuerza y con mayor velocidad en esa batería, la combinación y participación de Lord Nelson hace buen contraste vocal, con mayor pesadez y fuerza por parte de él y la voz limpia de Daria aporta las partes claras de la pista.

Mi Recomendación

Un EP interesante con una excelente participación por parte de todos los integrantes, tenemos un matiz musical lleno de metal progresivo donde las guitarras que en este caso son solo 2, con un bajo excelentemente pesado! y con la dureza que nos demuestran, con las características rítmicas e influencias del rock progresivo más acentuadas por momentos con un golpe poderoso de batería (beat), los cambios de tiempo y los patrones en la batería de forma fuerte y dura es destacable, esos acordes propios tienen alta distorsión, seguimiento de la guitarra, la batería con un doble pedal y ritmos veloces, con una dosis de beats, que le dan esa pesadez en cada canción.

También los cambios de compás y escuchamos la combinación de sonidos, ritmos y un poco el estilo cambiante, y sobre todo la aparición gradual y progresiva de los instrumentos como en las líneas de bajo algo complejas y densas, un EP continuo y directo, con pocas pausas y con un sonido muy potente.
