Hello! Friends! And Hello! And Thank you very much for this interview! Minniva It is an honor for me! This week i leave this new and great interview! Of our friend Minniva Borresen!

 

I am 25 years old, and live on a farm right outside the capital city of Norway (Oslo) in a tiny cabin that fits all I need, a bed and my studio.

 

I always find it a little hard to put words on who I am ^^, Well, I love the nature, I find most of my inspiration there.

 

If grey represents my climbs, and green represents my days of sunshine, I've had most of the grey days so far in life I guess. What I mean to say with this is that it has shaped me to become a person who does not give up so easily.

 

Tell us a little about yourself!

 

I started my music career in pop genre. I felt after a while that my expression in music did not appear, so I jumped off the train. It was an important learning curve. I bring with me a lot of good knowledge of that period. One step closer to knowing which place music have for me, and what place I seek in music most of all. I know metal is what I am going to do :)

 

 

A question my friend, Are you Marit Borresen? Or is your full name Marit Minniva Borresen? For this video, you see wonderful!

 

Thank you Jose :) Yeah! 

 

My real full name is Marit Børresen, but Marit just did not work internationally I think, so I played around with the idea of using Minniva as my artist name. I actually came up with the name after playing wow ( world of warcraft ) I played Rouge -my favorite character in the game . I have no time to play now obviously, but I log in for a few days during the Christmas season ^^

 

 

How do you formed in your musical career?

 

I've taken all the opportunities that have stood in front of me, despite all the fears that have lived in me (The fear to fail ) I took two years of singing lessons from 2008 to 2010 . Tried all the way to expand my comfort zone, by throwing me out in the " scariest " missions. Such as singing acapella in a living room in front of a group of people I've never met (very intimate ) and so on.

 

Because this genre in particular, the Symphonic Metal?

 

I was introduced to Symphonic metal at secondary school of some friends. I was immediately captivated by it. Since then, I've listened to bands like Guns n roses, Hammerfall , Avantasia , Angra , Nightwish and so on

 

What influences you have vocally and musically?

 

I've been inspired by artists such as Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion and Etta James. Although I put almost the artist's ability to convey the song's message higher than actual vocal performance, if that makes any sense? :)

 

What kind of voice do you have? ¿Voice range?

 

After singing the male parts on most of my covers, and the opera I dont really know anymore. In may 2015 I would have answerd Soprano :)

 

How do you train vocally? What's your secret! You have a nice voice!

 

Thank you Jose :) I use all the time I have available to prepare. I prepare the voice while I make breakfast, by taking some very simple vocal exercises. Drink warm water , tea and coffee of course , I love coffee ! Well, it's no secret to what I do unfortunately ^^, hehe

 

You have enough covers! Many are excellent! Why the hobby do many covers?

 

Thank you! Music is so all-embracing for me. I started my channel to make my self visible to the world . I felt like I had so much more to give than to sit at home with my guitar. Until May 2015 I have done as musicians / singers most , trying to find my way out there. Youtube works as a great tool to do that. I wont to be able to do music fulltime. Make it my life :) 

 

Do you have a single or an álbum in some special style of Metal?

 

Not yet, but I am working on it :) 

 

Aldaria is an impressive project! Has enough vocalists, why did you join them?

 

I obviously enjoyed their music :) At that time I worked as a store manager, so I did not have much time to make music myself. So when Per Fredrik ( my former boyfriend, known as Pellek ) and Aldaria invited me to attend on one of their songs, I found it to be a nice break from my usual everyday life :)

 

 

You are in Aldaria, tell us what surprises you with the Project for this 2016?

 

Their sound is fanstastic! But I was not surprised though :) I know that they deliver!

 

When we listen to Minniva its own álbum?

 

There remains some work, so it's hard to say.

 

Are there some projects / tours in this 2016 to you? As Which? Some progress!

 

I do not have a band, so no turing for me. But I am leaving Norway to meet Plamen Dimov, the leader and founder of International Music & Art Festival in Kitee this summer. I really looking forwared to that. I will be singing live and I`ll get to meet a bunch of great artists, I cant wait! But be sure, I will prepare a backup video to upload while I am gone  ^^

 

Anything that you have not asked before and you want to tell us?

 

I want to spend this ocation to leave my gratetude to all my fans! I feel a warmth. I am so grateful for all the messages I have received! I really wish I could answer all, but there are too many . I hope you understand!

Hola! Muchas gracias por esta entrevista! Es un honor para mí! Esta semana les dejo esta nueva y super entrevista! De nuestra amiga Minniva Borresen!

 

Soy una chica de 25 años, que vive en una granja a las afueras de la capital de Noruega (Oslo).

En una pequeña cabaña en la que tengo todo lo necesario, una cama y mi estudio.

Me cuesta trabajo expresar en palabras quien soy! Pero puedo decir que amo la naturaleza y en ella encuentro la mayor parte de mi inspiración.

 

El color gris representa mis ascensos y el color verde representa mis días soleados. Creo que hasta ahora, he tenido más días grises.

Esto quiere decir que me he convertido en una persona que no renuncia fácilmente.

 

Cuéntanos un poco de ti!

 

Mi nombre real es Marit Borresen, pero Merit no funcionaba como nombre internacional así que empecé a pensar en la idea de usar Minniva como nombre artístico.

De hecho, me llego la idea luego de jugar ‘World of Warcraft’, me gusta mucho el personaje de ‘Rouge’.

 

Por el momento no tengo tiempo para jugar, pero en época navideña me conecto un rato.

Gracias José! : ) Efectivamente, comencé mi carrera musical en el género pop.

Con el tiempo sentí que mi verdadera expresión musical no aparecía, así que decidí bajar de ese tren.

Fue una curva de aprendizaje y trajo consigo mucho conocimiento en ese periodo.

Fue un paso que me acerco más al espacio que la música tenía reservado para mí y claro, el lugar que yo esperaba.

 

¿Cómo te formaste en tu carrera Musical?

 

He tomado cada oportunidad que se me ha presentado, a pesar de los miedos que viven en mi (el miedo a fallar).

 

Tome dos años de clases de canto, desde 2008 a 2010.

 

He tratado de todas las maneras, salir de mi área de confort.

 

Desde lanzarme a las aventuras más aterradoras, hasta cantar acapella en frente de un grupo de personas desconocidas (fue bastante intimidante) y aquí sigo!.

 

¿Porque este género en especial, el Metal Sinfonico?

 

Yo me introduje al metal sinfónico en la escuela secundaria por algunos amigos. Me cautivó de inmediato por él. Desde entonces, he escuchado a bandas como Guns N Roses, Hammerfall, Avantasia, Angra, Nightwish, etc.

 

¿Qué influencias tienes vocalmente y musicalmente?

 

He sido inspirada por artistas como Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion y Etta James.

Aunque prefiero que los artistas tengan la habilidad de trasmitir el mensaje de la canción, incluso más que la misma interpretación. 

 

¿Qué tipo de voz tienes? ¿Rango de voz?

 

Solo sé que yo canto las partes masculinas de mis covers y que canto opera, pero la verdad no se más.

En mayo 2015 te habría contestado que soy Soprano

 

¿Cómo te entrenas vocalmente? Cuál es tu secreto! Tienes una linda voz!

 

Gracias José!  Trato de aprovechar todo el tiempo disponible para prepararme.

Preparo mi voz mientras hago mi desayuno y practico con ejercicios vocales muy simples.

Tomo mucha agua tibia, té y café! Me encanta el café.

Desafortunadamente no hay secreto alguno sobre lo que hago.

 

Tienes bastantes covers! Muchos son excelentes ¿Porque la afición de hacer muchos covers?

 

Dime, a que se debe el hobbie de hacer covers?

Gracias! La música es global para mí.

 

Comencé el canal en YouTube para hacerme visible ante el mundo.

Sentí que tenía mucho más para dar, que solo estar sentada en casa con mi guitarra.

Fue hasta mayo de 2015 cuando empecé el proyecto, hasta ese momento ya había sido músico y cantante así que estaba buscando mi camino.

YouTube es una gran herramienta para lograrlo!

 

No podré hacer música de tiempo completo pero ahora es parte de mi vida.

 

¿Tienes algún sencillo o algún álbum dentro con algún estilo de metal en especial?

 

Aun no! Pero sigo trabajando en ello.

 

Aldaria es un proyecto impresionante! Tiene bastantes vocalistas, ¿porque te uniste a ellos?

 

Evidentemente disfruto mucho de su música! Recuerdo que en esa época trabajaba de gerente en una tienda y no tenía mucho tiempo para hacer música por mí misma.

Fue entonces cuando Per Fredrick (mi antiguo novio conocido como Pellek) y Aldaria, me invitaron a formar parte de una de sus canciones.

 

Así que me pareció buena idea para salir de mi rutina diaria.

 

Estas en Aldaria, cuéntanos ¿qué sorpresas tienes con la banda para este 2016?

 

Su sonido es fantástico! Pero no estoy segura de sí habrá sorpresas para este año.

 

¿Cuándo escucharemos a Minniva con un álbum propio?

 

Aún queda mucho por hacer, así que es difícil decirlo.

 

¿Hay proyectos/tours en este 2016? Cómo cuáles? Algún adelanto!

 

Como no tengo banda propia, no hay tour para mi! : (

 

Pero me mudare de Noruega para conocer a Plamen Dimov, líder y fundador del Festival internacional de Música y Arte.

 

Me ire a Kitee en el verano.

 

Estoy realmente emocionada con eso, tendré la oportunidad de cantar en vivo y de conocer a muchos artistas. No puedo esperar más!.

 

Pero tengan por seguro que hare algunos videos de respaldo para subirlos en el transcurso de mi mudanza.

 

 

¿Algo que no te hayan preguntado antes y quieras decirnos?
