Who are Back:N:Black? A Little of her biography!

 

We’re just 5 girls who dig playing AC/DC more than anything! You can get our fancy promo text from www.backnblackgirls.com, but it is much better to watch the videos! We will be releasing LOTS more live and backstage stuff over the next months, so keep in touch!

 

How you been my friends?

 

Hi there!

Thank you - we have been great! Things are going really well for BACK:N:BLACK! Rocking out as much as we can and keeping the spirit of AC/DC alive and kicking... in your teeth!

 

Back n Black, who are you? tell us a little about you?

 

We are BACK:N:BLACK - The Girls Who Play AC/DC! That's who we are and that what we do, plain and simple! We spread our love for AC/DC's music around the world - wherever we can! We don't try to be AC/DC, we just love to rock out and be ourselves.

 

Who are the members? Where are you from?

 

BACK:N:BLACK is based in Switzerland. My name is BB. I started the band and play rhythm guitar. Hell-ena with red hair is our firebrand on vocals. After searching for so long, we finally found our right singer! Kat is our Thunder Beast from the East on bass. Dana is on drums, and right now we have Ale on lead guitar.

 

Why this name?

 

We chose BACK:N:BLACK because Back in Black was the favorite song of the first singer we had. It is also a legendary masterpiece of an album. We chose the name because we didn't want to have a "girly" name for our band. Even though we like to put on a show, we are musicians first, and girls second. Anyone who forgets that might get a kick in the teeth.

 

AC/DC is a great band, tell us what is the fascination for them?

 

AC/DC is the best band in the world, because they understood a very basic thing that not many others have: rock'n'roll is  all about passion and fun. It's not about who can get drunk the fastest or who can be the coolest rockstar. It's about hearing the sound that makes you want to throw your fist in the air and have a hell of a party together - the people who are on the stage and the people who are in the audience. AC/DC has never forgotten this and this spirit is what we try to bring to our concerts!

 

Which is the main concept of the band, only AC/DC or something more original of you?

 

BACK:N:BLACK plays AC/DC. The band members of BACK:N:BLACK do have their own projects where they play original music. BB and Kat play in D'ANGLERZ, a darker and more psychedelic form of hard rock,  Hell-Ena sings in NA2RAL BORN KILLERS, and Kat plays in a singer/songwriter trio.

 

 

What influences you have within Metal? and Rock or Hard Rock? To everyone!

 

BB: my biggest influence is Malcolm Young, obviously. His playing has taught me so much about timing and dynamics in rock guitar. And Dave Mustaine is also a pretty good rhythm guitar player, I have heard...! Hell-Ena: Halestorm and Guano Apes, above all!

 

Tell us How was the production in your video ‘You Shook Me All Night Long’?

 

It was filmed before we played the Verbier Bike Fest in Switzerland, on 1500 meters above sea level. There was a car exhibition as well, so we drove those old cars around the parking lot! It was so much fun! Kat, Ale and Angie (the drummer at the time) had to sit in the little side car and the door kept closing and plopping onto their heads because Hell-Ena was driving too fast! After that we played a concert and filmed our live DVD at the same time! We have released some more of the videos on it, you can watch them on our YouTube channel!

 

In the near future, you would like to have your own álbum? Musical style that would be?

 

The D'ANGLERZ album is being mixed as we speak and NA2RAL have just released an EP.

 

What surprises us you have about your band in this end year? And the next year?

 

At the end of the year we are going to rehearse a lot and evaluate new songs for our set list, so we can have a fresh start in 2016! This has been an amazing time for all of us and we are so grateful that we can play our favorite music and be on the road. We owe all of this to AC/DC! So, thank you AC/DC!!!!

Como han estado?

 

Hemos estado genial! Las cosas están saliendo realmente bien, para  BACK:N:BLACK.

Rockeamos todo lo que podemos y seguimos manteniendo vivo el espíritu de AC/DC!

 

Háblennos un poco mas de BACK:N:BLACK. Quiénes son?

 

Nosotras somos BACK:N:BLACK, un grupo de chicas que toca música de AC/DC!

Eso es lo que somos y lo que hacemos, simple y sencillo! Nos gusta compartir el gusto por la música de AC/DC alrededor del mundo.

 

No estamos tratando de ser como AC/DC, de ninguna manera! Solo amamos el rock y ser nosotras mismas.

 

Quienes son los miembros?

 

BACK:N:BLACK es una banda de Suiza. Yo soy BB, inicie la banda y toco la guitarra rítmica.

Hell-ena es nuestra cantante pelirroja! Tardamos mucho buscando a nuestra cantante perfecta y finalmente lo hicimos!.

 

Kat es nuestra bestia del este y se encarga del bajo. Dana se encarga de la batería y Ale se encarga de la guitarra principal.

 

Por que escogieron ese nombre?

 

Elegimos BACK:N:BLACK porque era la canción favorita de nuestra antigua vocalista, además de que esa canción fue la obra maestra de su álbum.

 

Nos gusto ese nombre porque no queríamos  ponerle algo femenino, incluso al presentarnos en vivo queremos demostrar que somos músicos! No solo somos chicas!

Cualquiera que lo olvide, recibirá una patada en los dientes! Hehe

 

AC/DC es una banda legendaria! Dinos, porque su fascinación por ellos?

 

AC/DC es la mejor banda del mundo! Porque ellos entienden el verdadero significado del rock and roll, este es que todo se basa en la pasión y la diversión!.

 

No se trata de ver quien se emborracha más rápido ni de quien es el mejor rockstar.

Se trata de escuchar esos sonidos que te hacen levantar tu puño y tener una fiesta loca con la audiencia y la banda que esta tocando!

 

AC/DC siempre tiene presente todo esto que les digo y ese mismo espíritu es el que queremos llevar a cabo en nuestros conciertos.

 

Cual es el concepto principal de la banda? Tocan solamente covers de AC/DC o también tocan música original?

 

BACK:N:BLACK toca solamente AC/DC . Los miembros de la banda tienen sus propios proyectos personales, en los que tocan música original.

 

BB y Kat tocan en la banda llamada D’ANGLERZ, su género es un poco más oscuro y psicodélico que el hard rock, Hell-ena canta en la banda NA2RAL BORN KILLERS y Kat también canta y escribe para un trió.

 

Que influencias tienen dentro del metal? Dentro del rock y hard rock.

 

BB: Mi mayor influencia es Malcolm Young! La manera en que toca me ha enseñado mucho acerca de sincronización y dinámicas en guitarra.

 

También he escuchado que Dave Mustaine es excelente tocando la guitarra rítmica!.

Hell-ena: Halestorm y Guano Apes!

 

Cuéntenos un poco sobre la producción de su video ‘’You shook me all night long’’.

Fue grabado antes de que tocaramos en The verbier Bike Fest en Suiza, a 1500 metros sobre el nivel del mar.

 

Fue bastante divertido! Había una exposición de autos asi que manejamos algunos en el estacionamiento.

 

Kat; Ale y Angie (nuestra baterista en ese momento) tuvieron que sentarse en la parte reducida del auto y se iban golpeando las cabezas porque Hell-ena iba manejando muy rápido!

 

Después nos presentamos en el concierto y grabamos en vivo para nuestro DVD, tendrá videos exclusivos pero igual pueden verlos en nuestro canal de Youtube.

 

Les gustaría tener su propio álbum a futuro?

 

El álbum de D’ANGLERZ está siendo mezclado justo en este momento y NA2RAL acaba de lanzar un EP.

 

Que planes tienen para su banda para este fin de año? Que pasara después?

 

Para fin de año estaremos ensayando mucho y pensaremos en nuevas canciones para nuestro set list. Tendremos un excelente comienzo para 2016.

 

Tenemos agendados varios conciertos para el próximo año y eso incluye visitar otros países.
