TEMPERANCE is where exceptional vocal melodies, energetic Metal guitar riffing and symphonic atmospheres meet in perfect harmony. Led by a unique vocal triad, TEMPERANCE manages to unite heaviness with an impressive level of catchy melodies that will make you want to push the repeat button instantly.

Different from most Symphonic Metal bands, TEMPERANCE brings together no less than three vocalists, all adding their own style and flavor to the ensemble. The combination of Alessia Scolletti’s crystalline voice, the strong timbre of Michele Guaitoli and the rough vocals of mastermind and guitarist Marco Pastorino, make TEMPERANCE stand out completely. With Millions of Youtube views, hymns as ‘The Last Hope In A World Of Hopes’ or ‘Of Jupiter And Moons’ seem to prove that point.

After building up with 4 albums released in the past 5 years, TEMPERANCE is now all set to join the premier league, after the release of the latest album, ‘VIRIDIAN’, out NOW via Napalm Records!

VIRIDIAN is a perfect blend of green and blue. While green stands for balance and harmony, blue is the color of trust and sincerity. This is exactly what you will get with TEMPERANCE’s newest album: a perfectly balanced and harmonized combination of the three singers’ voices, sincere lyrics and discovery of new shades of “the TEMPERANCE sound”.

‘VIRIDIAN’ was mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Epica, Amaranthe), with the cover artwork by Yann Souetre (Ayreon). TEMPERANCE clearly is ready to spread their energy all over the world!

Touring history:

Over the past four years the band performed more than 200 shows worldwide, including a full European tour supporting Luca Turilli’s Rhapsody, another EU tour supporting Serenity, one Japan tour and finally two own headlining tours in Europe. On top of that, the band performed in support of Nightwish, Slipknot, Within Temptation among others!

In support of VIRIDIAN, TEMPERANCE was chosen to be Special Guest on Tarja Turunen’s RAW Tour. The band is beyond thrilled and honored to support the Queen of Metal herself throughout the main European markets in 2021!

A very melodic, rhythmic and catchy sound, varied keyboards and electronic sequences, the combination of voices is very good! A bit of metal with modern sounds, complete with electronic effects and sparkling riffs, full of joy and a good irresistible chorus of vocals.

I Am The Fire

A little stronger in the chords and melody, melodic without a doubt and very harmonious, very catchy sounds with a great display of excellent voices! Some Hard Rock perhaps!

Start Another Round

A very melodic song, with a very powerful and epic atmosphere, the voices of Alessia and Michele are leading the beat and the harmony! Here we find a discreet and precise riff.

My Demons Can't Sleep*

It greatly improves the entrance! In the style of the band Temperance from years ago! Fast notes and harder riffs, without losing or leaving the melodic side!

Excellent hard entry and with very melodic strong chords, those electronic sequences very well accompany those strong and fast notes, deployed power metal!

Let It Beat

A very harmonic, soft entrance accompanied by a more relaxed and calm vibrato of the beautiful voice of Alessia, the following voices generate even better the atmosphere of the song, it is worth mentioning the memorable choruses, crescendo and murderous and forceful crying voices of Michele and Alessia Scolletti.

Scent Of Dye

We enter the quietest and softest part of the album, a more acoustic and slow entrance, a beautiful ballad with the musical style of the band! Very cinematic and symphonic in voice.

The Cult Of Mystery

We entered with great electronic sequences and later some more power chords! Improving the speed of the song.

Nanook

Wow what changed in this musical entry, a bit of Folk metal perhaps? Acoustic chords accompany the combination of their voices and Alessia! Melodic and very harmonious the song! Plus the background children's choirs give more emphasis to the song.

Gaia

Interesting change of musical input style for this track! Michele in a soft and emotional musical scale, accompanied by the beautiful voice of Alessia, acoustic and background keyboards, another ballad that surprises us!

Catch The Dream

A splendid natural entrance from the voice of Michele and in the background of a tribal choir with the palms of the hands raised, a very motivating song from the musical entrance and until the end!

Lost in the Christmas Dream

And closing the Viridian album very softly and forcefully! With a preview of Christmas! Totally with all the rhythm and melody in the voice of Michele and Alessia in a great and splendid combination.

My Recomendation

It is a very cinematic album, quite melodic, very catchy, all the songs have a contagious chorus, full of very harmonic melodic hooks and this is the epitome, the crucial part and fundamental part of melodic metal as we can hear it in other bands of This genre, as I mentioned previously, is full of electronic effects and daring riffs, very vivid and with irresistible choruses.

There are good quality riffs everywhere, perfect tempos with the harmony and time signature of each of the songs impressive, the musical work is formidable, with out to mention many provocative rhythms driven by Mocerino and enhanced by the bassist Negro, with melody, fast rhythm Fast and galloping as in some musical sections, it has a modern style of Power Metal with very striking electronic sequences.

The Voice

Here I think the most important part of the album goes, in addition to a splendid musical work, the voices are super important and I think Alessia and Michele know it! The band employs a triple vocal attack, as well as another band that does something similar and other bands with only two voices, with the great and sonorous vibrato of Alessia Scolletti accompanied by the singer, pianist Michele Guaitoli and the guitarist Marco Pastorino together add layers to the extra music of melody and harmony, so much so that the voices by themselves carry the rhythm and it is noticeable throughout the album, as an example in the last two songs the voices of Michele and Alessia make the whole song! Stupendously good! And we added a little Pastorino to it creating the important metal part for some harsh growls.

The vocal range and vibrato of both is perfect for this style of music!

Historia de la gira:

Un sonido muy melódico, rítmico y pegadizo, teclados y secuencias electrónicas variadas, la combinación de voces es muy buena! Un poco de metal con sonidos modernos, completo con efectos electrónicos y riffs chispeantes, lleno de alegría y un coro irresistible bueno de las voces.

I Am The Fire

Un poco más fuerte en los acordes y la melodía, melódica sin duda y muy armoniosa, sonidos muy pegadizos con un gran despliegue de voces excelentes! Algo de Hard Rock acaso!

Start Another Round

Una canción muy melódica, con una atmósfera muy power y épica, las voces de Alessia y Michele van liderando el compás y la armonía! Aquí encontramos un riff discreto y preciso.

My Demons Can't Sleep*

Mejora bastante la entrada! Al estilo de la banda Temperance de hace años! Notas rápidas y riffs más duros, sin perder o dejar el lado melódico!

Viridian

Excelente entrada dura y con acordes fuertes muy melódicos, esas secuencias electrónicas muy bien acompañan a esas notas fuertes y rápidas, power metal desplegado!

Let It Beat

Una entrada muy armónica, suave acompañada de un vibrato más relajado y tranquilo de la bella voz de Alessia, las voces siguientes generan aún mejor la atmosfera de la canción, cabe mencionar de coros memorables, crescendo y voces de llanto asesino y contundente de Michele y Alessia Scolletti.

Scent Of Dye

Entramos en la parte más tranquila y suave del albúm, una entrada más acústica y lenta, una bella balada con el estilo musical de la banda! Muy cinematográfica y sinfónica en la voz.

The Cult Of Mystery

Entramos con secuencias electrónicas geniales y posteriormente unos acordes más power! Mejorando en velocidad la canción.

Nanook

Wow que cambio en esta entrada musical, un poco de Folk metal acaso? Acordes acústicos acompañan la combinación de las voces de ellos y de Alessia! Melódica y muy Armoniosa la canción! Más los coros de niños de fondo le da más énfasis a la canción.

Gaia

Interesante cambio de estilo de entrada musical de esta pista! Michele en una escala musical suave y emotiva, acompañado de la bella voz de Alessia, acústica y teclados de fondo, otra balada que nos sorprende!

Catch The Dream

Una espléndida entrada natural de la voz de Michele y en compañía de fondo de coro tipo tribal con las palmas de las manos en lo alto, una canción muy motivante desde la entrada musical y hasta el final!

Lost in the Christmas Dream

Y cerrando muy suavemente y con contundencia el albúm de Viridian! Con una adelanto de Navidad! Totalmente con todo el ritmo y melodía en la voz de Michele y de Alessia en un gran y esplendida combinación.

Mi Recomendación

Es un albúm muy cinematográfico, bastante melódico, muy pegadizo, todas las canciones cuentan con un coro contagioso, lleno de ganchos melódicos muy armónicos y este es el epítome, la parte crucial y parte fundamental del metal melódico como lo podemos escuchar en otras bandas de este género, como comente anteriormente dicho está lleno de efectos electrónicos y riffs atrevidos, muy vividos y con coros irresistibles.

Hay buenos riffs de calidad por todas partes, tempos perfectos con la armonía y compas de cada una de las canciones impresionante, el trabajo musical es formidable, sin mencionar muchos ritmos provocativos impulsados por Mocerino y realzados por el bajista Negro, con melodía, ritmo rápido, veloz y galopante como en algunas secciones musicales, tiene un estilo moderno de Power Metal con secuencias electrónicas muy llamativas.

La Voz

Aquí creo que va la parte más importante del albúm, además de un espléndido trabajo musical las voces son súper importantes y creo que Alessia y Michele lo saben! La banda emplea un triple ataque vocal, así como otra banda que hace algo semejante y otras bandas solo a dos voces, con el vibrato genial y sonoro de Alessia Scolletti acompañada por el cantante, pianista Michele Guaitoli y el guitarrista Marco Pastorino juntos le agregan capas a la música extra de melodía y armonía, tanto que las voces por si mismas llevan el ritmo y se nota en todo el albúm, como ejemplo en las dos últimas canciones las voces de Michele y Alessia hacen toda la canción! Estupendamente bien! Y le agregamos un poco de Pastorino creando la parte metálica importante por algunos gruñidos duros.
