De la Tierra (un encuentro semiacústico) presents a set of unpublished and well-known songs in a different format that denotes a maturity in their sound. The use of electroacoustic instrumentation accompanied by prehispanic sounds takes us on an introspective and reflective journey about ourselves.

Born on May 29th, 1991, Anna Fiori has become one of the most acclaimed metal singers in her country (México).

She started her professional career in musical theater when she was 4. Besides studying contemporary singing, she also studied vocal production, music business and has been certified with honor in vocal coaching. As alternative studies, she has worked as model, actress and lyricist or short stories writer. She has been into Mexico's metal scene since 2006

With only 17 years, she recorded her first full length album. Since then, she has recorded 2 albums with her solo project, 3 albums with other bands as main singer, 3 demos, 4 compilations and 11 collaborations with different well-known bands in Latin America.

In 2013, Anna recorded her first solo album, “Magna Mater”, written and composed by herself, becoming the first female singer in México of her musical genre to record a soloist album, receiving great reviews and comments from the press.

Anna Fiori co-creates Edenwar in 2015, a symphonic epic metal project from Switzerland / Spain / México, sharing her music with Fabio Lione (Rhapsody / Angra), Christian Vidal (Therion), Timo Somers (Delain), Chen Balbus and Idan Amsalem (Orphaned Land) among others.

In 2017 and 2018, Anna joins Rhapsody Reunion as guest singer on their last tour around Mexico, just in the mid time of the release date of her second album, “In Ohtli Tonalli” composed and produced by mexican talent Jorge Salmay and Federico Suarez.

“In Ohtli Tonalli Tour” has been a success in different Latin American countries such as Perú, Chile, Argentina, Colombia and Mexico, 6 of those shows were sold-out. One of her most outstanding shows was at Domination 2019, performing on the same stage with KISS and with great response of thousands of people at the festival. The very talented members of her band are Arturo Ferrante (keyboards), Ignacio Fontán Blanch (drums), Juan Carrizo (guitar), Markov (guitar) y Voltan Acat (bass).

In 2019, Anna releases a semi-acoustic EP called "De La Tierra", produced by the pianist and composer from Monterrey, NL, Hiram de León, expanding her musical horizons and demonstrating her artistic and interpretative quality.

Her albums have been awarded nationally and internationally. Some outstanding examples are: Vocalist of the year at Radioactivo Awards 2019, 2 awards as best album of the year at the Osmium Metal Awards 2018. Vocalist of the year at the Osmium Metal Awards 2018. Best artist of the year at Victorian Goth 2018. Diva of the Year in Dark Metal Divas 2018. Release from the year in Global Metal Apocalypse 2017. Position #13 in Headbangers Latin América 2013, and best symphonic metal band in 2013 by the Kalani Awards.

Cehualli

With an introduction full of mysticism this musical journey is welcomed where Anna's voice presents a choir way accompanied by a prehispanic and electroacoustic instrumentation including fragments in Nahuatl (it is a native language in Mexico) being a recurring aspect in this album allowing the band to experiment with new sounds without forgetting their roots. The theme that addresses the song is about death and the destination of souls from the prehispanic worldview. Anna Fiori uses different voice ranges creating an atmosphere that begins to envelop you generating a sense of tranquillity. Cehualli means shadow in Nahualt.

De la Tierra

This song is presented as the promotional single for this record material. The piano performed by Hiram de León accompanied by the melodic voice of Anna Fiori who plays with different tones of voice manages to portray the suffering that people close to us have and their significance. It is a simple song, but with a message that will surely move sensitive fibers in who listens to it.

Jamás

This song denotes the musical maturity that the band has acquired over time. The prominence that the jarana acquires and the percussions performed by Juan Carrizo and Ignacio Fontán Blanch respectively shine together with Anna's lyrical voice, constituting an interlude to this musical journey that reflects the walk of souls to the beyond. The contribution of Arturo Ferrante on the piano give them a touch of theatricality.

Bajo la tempestad

It is the last of the unpublished songs that this album contemplates and that also has the collaboration of Hiram de León on the piano, Severo Carranza on the guitar and Idalia Luna on the cello. It is a song that takes up the metaphor emulated by birds representing the souls that visit those who are still alive. Anna's voice brings to us a feeling of nostalgia and sadness using a game of mostly high and low voices. A melody that takes us on this journey of introspection with which the band defines this material, the soft chords played on the piano show an influence of Gothic rock to this musical proposal.

Fuego Negro

This song is taken from their latest material "In Ohtli Tonalli" and the piano chords evoke us to the classical era in which Beethoven and Mozart characters shone with their own light, in the case of Anna Fiori is no exception as her musical proposal It lives up to great exponents of the international metal scene and makes it clear that a song can acquire different connotations from the point of view with which it looks.

Renacer

As a closing, this song is presented that emerges from their debut material “Magna Mater” and that curiously represents Anna’s favorite number: 9. The music that accompanies the lyrics of the song presents a notable influence of Spanish flamenco, however, does not clash with the musical harmony that has been built throughout the album.

My Recommendation:

De la Tierra (un encuentro semiacústico) is an emotional and harmonic album. A different proposal to what Anna Fiori has been presenting to us in recent years and that reflects the learning acquired over time, as well as the link generated with her support band denoting maturity at a musical and personal level as expressed by the same singer in her social networks. It is a material widely recommended for the versatility at instrumental and vocal level.

De la Tierra (un encuentro semiacústico) presenta un conjunto de canciones inéditas y conocidas en un formato distinto que denota una madurez en su sonido. El empleo de una instrumentación electroacústica acompañado por sonidos prehispánicos nos traslada a un viaje introspectivo y reflexivo sobre nosotros mismos.

Nacida un 29 de mayo de 1991, Anna Fiori se ha convertido en una de las máximas exponentes del metal mexicano.

Comenzó a cantar desde los 4 años profesionalmente haciendo teatro musical. Además de su formación en canto contemporáneo, estudió también producción vocal, negocio de la música y ha sido certificada con honores como vocal coach. También ha trabajado como modelo, actriz, letrista y escritora de relatos. Su historia en el metal comienza en el año 2006.

Con tan sólo 17 años, grabó su primer álbum de larga duración. Desde entonces, ha grabado 2 discos con su proyecto solista, 3 discos de proyectos alternos, 3 demos, 4 compilados y 11 colaboraciones especiales de diversos grupos reconocidos en Latinoamérica.

En 2013, Anna lanza su primer álbum como solista, “Magna Mater”, escrito y compuesto por ella misma, convirtiéndose en la primera cantante en México de su género en grabar un álbum con estas características, recibiendo excelentes reseñas y comentarios de la prensa.

Anna Fiori co-crea Edenwar en 2015, un proyecto digital de metal sinfónico internacional, compartiendo su música con Fabio Lione (Rhapsody / Angra), Christian Vidal (Therion), Timo Somers (Delain), Chen Balbus e Idan Amsalem (Orphaned Land), entre otros.

En 2017 y 2018, Anna se une a la última gira por México de Rhapsody Reunion a la par del lanzamiento de su segundo álbum solista “In Ohtli Tonalli”, compuesto y producido junto a los mexicanos Jorge Salmay y Federico Suarez.

La gira promocional “In Ohtli Tonalli” ha recorrido varios países de Latinoamérica con mucho éxito, entre ellos Perú, Argentina, Chile, Colombia y por supuesto, México, 6 de los cuales fueron lleno total. Una de sus más destacadas participaciones fue en Domination 2019, pisando el mismo escenario que Kiss y con gran reacción de los miles de asistentes del festival. Los talentosos músicos que la acompañan son Arturo Ferrante (teclados), Ignacio Fontán Blanch (batería), Juan Carrizo (guitarra), Markov (guitarra) y Voltan Acat (bajo).

En 2019, Anna lanza un EP semiacústico llamado "De La Tierra", producido por el pianista y compositor regiomontano Hiram de León, expandiendo sus horizontes musicales y demostrando su calidad artística e interpretativa.

Sus discos han sido premiados en distintas sedes nacionales e internacionales. Algunos ejemplos destacados son: Mejor vocalista del año en Premios Radioactivo 2019, 2 premios a disco del año (votación de jurado y votación del público) en Osmium Metal Awards 2018. Cehualli

Con una introducción llena de misticismo se da la bienvenida a este viaje musical donde la voz de Anna se presenta a manera de coro acompañado de una instrumentación prehispánica y electroacústica incluyendo fragmentos en náhuatl (es una lengua nativa en México) siendo un aspecto recurrente en este disco permitiéndole a la banda experimentar con nuevos sonidos sin olvidar sus raíces. La temática que aborda la canción es acerca de la muerte y el destino final de las almas desde la cosmovisión prehispánica. Anna Fiori utiliza diferentes rangos de voz creando una atmósfera que comienza a envolverte generando una sensación de tranquilidad. Cehualli signifca sombra en náhual.

De la Tierra

Esta canción se presenta como el sencillo promocional de este material discográfico. El piano ejecutado por Hiram de León acompañado de la voz melódica de Anna Fiori quien juega con diferentes tonos de voz logra retratar el sufrimiento que tienen las personas cercanas a nosotros y su trascendencia. Es una canción simple, pero con un mensaje que seguramente moverá fibras sensibles en quién lo escucha.

Jamás

Esta canción denota la madurez musical que ha adquirido la banda a través del tiempo. El protagonismo que adquiere la jarana y las percusiones ejecutadas por Juan Carrizo e Ignacio Fontán Blanch respectivamente brillan en conjunto con la voz lírica de Anna constituyendo un interludio a este viaje musical que refleja el caminar de las almas al más allá. La aportación de Arturo Ferrante en el piano le aporte un toque de teatralidad.

Bajo la tempestad

Es la última de las canciones inéditas que contempla este álbum y que también cuenta con la colaboración de Hiram de León en el piano, Severo Carranza en la guitarra y de Idalia Luna en el cello. Es una canción retoma la metáfora que emulan las aves en representación de las almas que visitan a quiénes todavía están con vida. La voz de Anna trae a nosotros una sensación de nostalgia y tristeza empleando un juego de voces agudas y graves en su mayoría. Una melodía que nos traslada a este viaje de introspección con el que define la banda a este material, los suaves acordes interpretados en el piano muestran una influencia del rock gótico a esta propuesta musical.

Fuego Negro

Esta canción se retoma de su último material “In Ohtli Tonalli” y los acordes del piano nos evocan a la época clásica en la que personajes Beethoven y Mozart brillaban con luz propia, en el caso de Anna Fiori no es la excepción pues su propuesta musical está a la altura de grandes exponentes de la escena metal a nivel internacional y nos deja en claro que una canción puede adquirir diferentes connotaciones desde la óptica con la que se mire.

Renacer

A manera de cierre se presenta esta canción que se desprende de su material debut “Magna Mater” y que curiosamente representa su número favorito: 9. La música que acompaña a la letra de la canción presenta una notable influencia del flamenco español, sin embargo, no desentona con la armonía musical que se ha ido construyendo a lo largo del disco.

Mi Recomendación:

De la Tierra es un disco emocional y armónico. Una propuesta distinta a lo que Anna Fiori nos ha estado presentando en los últimos años y que refleja el aprendizaje adquirido a través del tiempo, así como el vínculo generado con su banda de soporte denotando una madurez a nivel musical y personal como lo ha expresado la misma cantante en sus redes sociales. Es un material ampliamente recomendando por la versatilidad a nivel instrumental y vocal.
