Greetings friends! An interview with a talented band! Halach! From México to all of you!

 

Hello my friend, thank you for the interview!

 

Hi! It’s a plaseure.

 

Tell us, Who is Wedad Abdo? What does your name mean? Or it is a nickname?

 

Wedad Abdo is a music lover! who wants to know more about everything.

 

It is my real name. Supposedly it means LOVE.

 

How did you start in this genre?

 

I started a long time ago, i was taking lessons at school and i sung a Nightwish's song.

 

Since that moment i discovered my passion for the rock music and metal music.

 

How was your vocal training? What is your vocal range?

 

My training was with bel canto technique. I started singing classical music.

 

My tessitura is lyric soprano spinto. Now i'm exploring with my deep voice and i've liked a lot! :)

 

Tell us, what have you been doing this time? What are your plans?

 

I've always worked with music and i've done a little bit of all.

 

I've sung versatile music like salsa, oldies and ballads and i must to say that i have not regrets of taking this path.

 

My plans (if destiny allows it) are to continue in this world and die on stage!

 

What surprises does Halach have for us this year?

 

Finally our new álbum comes out! We are very excited about it and we hope this time worth it.

 

Tell us a Little about this new álbum.

 

Of course! Halach it's a four elements band that has existed since seven years ago.

 

It was initiative of our guitarist and composer, Rashid Rahal.

 

The idea came out of our desire of explore our own melodies. We like to listen rock music, since Therion till Iron Maiden.

 

What is the main theme of the álbum?

 

Our main idea was to refresh our sound and don't lose the essence and i think we have made it.

 

There has many songs and of all kinds, but with a heavy style. Our sound it was more symphonic but now has changed and is interesting.

 

There will be a new vídeo from the álbum?

 

Indeed! We are talking and sharing our ideas for a new video clip.

 

We choose a very different song but it's definitely one of the most sublime songs that Halach has ever had!

 

Why does the name of the álbum is the same of the name of the band?

 

It's just a new rebirth! A new Halach! Just us, trying to show our expressions.

 

Why would us listen to the new álbum?

 

Just for its freshness. Besides, it is so interesting and i dare saying it is the best album so far!

 

I think the current line up is good and is important.

 

Did you write the lyrics of the album? What is more important for you when you write and perform a song, the voice, the talent or musical performance?

 

I wrote most of the songs, but others were already made.

 

For other songs, we used all elements and we all collaborated.

 

For me the most important, both in voice and instrument is the performance.

 

With this skill you can reach out to people's hearts

 

What do you think about the gothic/symphonic metal scene in México?.

 

unfortunately it is a scene where people put each other traps and obstacles, just trying to highlight.

 

It's sad but we should be more united and support us each other. There is a lot of talent!

 

Would you like to share something else with us?

Saludos amigos! Una entrevista con una banda con mucho talento! Halach! Desde México para todos ustedes!

 

Hola!! Mi amiga, muchas gracias!!!!

 

Hola! un placer para mí el estar con ustedes!

 

Cuéntanos quien es Wedad Abdo? Que significa tu nombre? O sobre nombre?

 

Wedad Abdo es una sonadora amante de la música, siempre con ganas de conocer más. es mi nombre real y, según me dijeron, significa amor, o 'la de los ojos grandes'.

 

Como entraste a este género musical?

 

Entré al género hace ya varios años gracias a que, en un taller escolar, me pidieron cantar una canción de Nightwish, fue entonces cuando encontré la pasión por el rock y metal.

 

Como fue tu entrenamiento vocal? Cuál es tu rango vocal?

 

Mi entrenamiento siempre fue con técnica de bel canto, es por eso que comencé cantando clásico. Mi tesitura es soprano lírico spinto. Ahora exploro mi voz grave y ha gustado bastante :)

 

Cuéntanos que has hecho todo este tiempo musicalmente, que planes tienes?

 

Siempre he trabajado en la música. He hecho un poco de todo, inclusive llegué a cantar versátil, (salsa, oldies, baladas, etc.), y no me arrepiento de haber tomado este camino. Mis planes, si el destino lo permite, es continuar en esto y, valga la frase trillada, morir en escena.

 

Que sorpresa nos tienes junto a Halach en este 2015?

 

por fin el nuevo álbum! estamos muy entusiasmados y en verdad esperamos que este tiempo haya valido la pena.

 

Cuéntanos un poco de ‘’Halach’’, su nuevo disco de este año?

 

Claro! halach es una agrupación de cuatro elementos, formada desde hace ya siete años, todo por iniciativa de nuestro guitarrista y compositor rashid rahal. la idea surge a partir del deseo de explorar melodías propias después de escuchar todo tipo de rock, desde therion hasta iron maiden y de regreso.

 

Cuál es la temática del disco? dónde surge la idea o proyecto nuevo?

 

La idea principal era refrescar el sonido sin perder la esencia, y creo que lo hemos logrado. Hay canciones de todo tipo, pero ahora con un estilo más heavy y no tan apegado al sinfónico, como antes. Es interesante.

 

Habrá un video clip extra de alguna canción del nuevo álbum?

 

Por supuesto! estamos en pláticas e ideas para hacer el nuevo video, el sencillo elegido es algo muy diferente a lo que hemos presentado, pero una de las canciones más sublimes que halach ha tenido.

 

Que significa el nombre del disco al tener el mismo nombre de la banda?

 

Simplemente un nuevo renacer. Un nuevo Halach. Nosotros en la máxima expresión de lo que queremos darles.

 

Porque deberíamos escuchar tu nuevo álbum?

 

Porque la frescura que tiene es demasiado interesante como para no hacerlo, jeje. me atrevo a decir que es el mejor álbum hasta ahora, y seguro tiene mucho que ver la alineación actual.

 

Escribiste la letra del álbum?  Y si es así al escribir una canción y al interpretarla, la música, la voz, talento o potencia/presentación musical, cual es más importante para ti?

 

Escribí la mayor parte, pues muchas de las canciones ya estaban listas desde tiempo atrás. Algunas otras tuvieron ideas de los elementos en conjunto. para mí, lo más importante tanto en la voz como en cualquier instrumento es la interpretación, ya que con dicha cualidad logras llegar al corazón de los escuchas.

 

Qué opinas de la escena Goth/Symphonic Metal en México?

 

Desgraciadamente es una escena en la que muchas veces 'se ponen el pie' unos a otros con tal de intentar destacar, cuando la realidad es que deberíamos apoyarnos todos y salir adelante, pues hay talento, y mucho!

 

Algo más que nos quisieras compartir, en este tu espacio?

 

Pues antes que nada agradezco a ustedes el que me den esta oportunidad para exponer lo nuevo que viene para nosotros que, obviamente, es por y para el público siempre!

 

Los invito de corazón a seguir el trabajo de halach, ha sido un largo camino lleno de altibajos, pero siempre por amor a este nuestro arte, la música!
