Now on this occasion we have the pleasant surprise with the talented Vocalist Kyrah Aylin! Vocal Leader of the Italian band Elegy of Madness! Symphonic Metal! The Elegy Of Madness is an Italian Shymphonic Metal band founded in 2006 by Tony Tomasicchio.

Hi Darkzen, thanks for this interview
How have you been?
Kyrah:
I’m very well,thanks! I just got home from the italian festival Rock The Castle 2022 where I played the role of the Queen and yes, I feel charge more than ever
I think for many more who know you a little more! Tell us how did you get to the Elegy of Madness band?
Kyrah:
Actually, until some time ago, I didn’t know them. After the release of Anja for her personal reason, I was contacted by the guitarist Marco Monno for an audition. It was a very surprise for me. The project, their approach, sound, I immediately liked it! So I decided to try...
So I auditioned and contacted immediately. They made me feel like I was at home. With them it was created a strong personal and musical complicity and I’m sure we’ll have a lot of beautiful experiences together.
Do you have hobbies, other musical skills? Excellent voice!
Kyrah:
Thank you so much! I would say yes! I’m a person who cherishes people and friend, deeplyand I can’t keep still. I do sports and travel whenever I can. I love art in all its forms, so I like to experiment.
What are your musical influences? From the heaviest to the lightest?
Kyrah:
I love all the Music for all that it rapresent to me. In my listening I have always loved black metal music with sound of classic music Among my favorite plays they are Behemoth, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Marduk Dark Funeral, Rotting Christ, Insomnium, Trees Of Eternity, Slayer, Wardruna, Epica, Nightwish, Within Temptation, Hanz Zimmer, Lisa Gerrard , Azam Ali, Natalie Dessay, Diana Damrau, Cinematic Music ( Two Step From Hell, Epicscore..) There are so many and are all very different from each other.
But each of them has had a profound effect on me, musically and vocally.
Do you have other alternative projects to the band?
Kyrah:
Yes, I often collaborate with other artist and bands. For example, a recent collaboration of mine was with my new friend and talented musician Amadeus “MADIS”for his incredible album “Sail”.
What is Kyrah working on with Elegy of Madness? Are you making any new single or EP? Will there be a new album?
Kyrah:
Currently we are working on the new album. In September we will be at the Domination Studio in order to record three singles. In the meantime, we are already have some live shows planned. We can’t wait!
Do you already have some live dates in your country or a Metal fest on a Tour?
Kyrah:
Yes, we will perform at the Rock Metal Fest in Pulsano (Taranto) as headliner. We’ll play the next day too in an open air summer venue, but there'll be other live shows upcoming.
Any online event through any social network? I think that now it is part of the Live Tour or what do you think?
Kyrah:

¿Cómo has estado?
Kyrah:
¡Estoy muy bien, gracias!
Acabo de llegar a casa del festival italiano Rock The Castle 2022 donde interpreté el papel de la Reina y sí, me siento más cargada que nunca.
Creo que para muchos más que te conozcan un poco más! Cuéntanos, ¿Cómo llegaste a la banda Elegy of Madness?
Kyrah:
En realidad, hasta hace un tiempo, no los conocía. Después del lanzamiento de Anja por motivos personales, el guitarrista Marco Monno me contactó para una audición. Fue una gran sorpresa para mí. El proyecto, su enfoque, el sonido, ¡me gustó de inmediato! Así que decidí probar...
Así que audicioné y contacté de inmediato. Me hicieron sentir como si estuviera en casa. Con ellos se creó una fuerte complicidad personal y musical y estoy segura de que viviremos muchas experiencias bonitas juntos.
¿Tienes hobbies, otras habilidades musicales? Excelente voz!
Kyrah:
¡Muchas gracias! ¡Yo diría que sí! Soy una persona que aprecia profundamente a las personas y a los amigos y no puedo quedarme quieta. Hago deporte y viajo siempre que puedo. Me encanta el arte en todas sus formas, por eso me gusta experimentar.
¿Cuáles son tus influencias musicales? ¿Del más pesado al más ligero?
Kyrah:
Me encanta toda la música por todo lo que representa para mí. Sí, a menudo colaboro con otros artistas y bandas. Por ejemplo, una colaboración mía reciente fue con mi nuevo amigo y talentoso músico Amadeus “MADIS” para su increíble álbum “Sail”.
¿En qué está trabajando Kyrah con Elegy of Madness? ¿Estás haciendo algún nuevo single o EP? ¿Habrá un nuevo álbum?
Kyrah:
Actualmente estamos trabajando en el nuevo álbum. En septiembre estaremos en Domination Studio para grabar tres sencillos. Mientras tanto, ya tenemos planeados algunos shows en vivo. ¡No podemos esperar!
¿Ya tienen algunas fechas en vivo en tu país o un festival de Metal en un Tour?

Sí, actuaremos en el Rock Metal Fest de Pulsano (Taranto) como cabeza de cartel. Tocaremos al día siguiente también en un lugar de verano al aire libre, pero habrá otros shows en vivo próximamente.
