CROM band with their new EP “Into The Glory Land” is the first release with Walter “Crom” Grosse (ex-Dark Fortress) signed to From the Vaults, and is a preview of what is to come in 2022. Two new songs by pure epic power metal and three emotional acoustic tracks nicely showcased with both sides of the music that Crom has been representing since 1997.

Into the Glory Land

​

Excellent melodic arrangements, sharp chords and some solos with beastly, harmonic and epic riffs from the beginning! Heavy/Viking/Power Metal, the scale with the very even and precisely carried guitar lines.

​

Riding into the Sun

​

Following the same line as the previous song with perfect timing and speed, strong and discreet chords, the drums mix and give a great boost to the coordination of guitars with changes in tempo at full gallop.

​

The Hanging Tree (James Newton Howard cover)

​

A narrative and atmospheric song in Walter's pleasant voice, with a Viking/Folk vibe perhaps and quite well done on acoustic.

​

Wings of Fire (acoustic version)    

 

We have a song melody similar to James's cover, with an acoustic opening, light with excellent background ambience.

​

Song to Hall Up High (Bathory cover)

​

To close this melodic EP, we have this super cover of Bathory, a legendary super band in the world of Black Metal, a good cover, dark and melancholic.

My Recomendation

​

The new EP of "Into the Glory Land" that was released a few months ago is a good work done by Crom band, we can separate it into two parts, the first two songs with their melodic, rhythmic and fast part, Power/Viking Metal and the second part with the three tracks almost entirely acoustic well elaborated with the acoustic part and a bit of Folk demonstrating here a bit of the skill of the musicians in doing both things in a single job! Crom teaches us what still lasts today! For fans of a mix of Power/Viking Metal like Ensiferum, Bathory, Forefather, Týr, Gatekeeper, Visigoth, Ereb Altor, among others. Crom band will be your best choice.

CROM band con su nuevo EP “Into The Glory Land” es el primer lanzamiento de Walter “Crom” Grosse (ex-Dark Fortress) creado con From the Vaults, y es un anticipo de lo que seguirá en este 2022. Dos nuevas canciones de power metal épico puro y tres pistas acústicas emocionales muy bien mostradas con ambos lados de la música que Crom representa desde 1997.

Excelentes arreglos melódicos, acordes afilados y con unos solos con riffs desde el principio bestiales, armónicos y épicos! Heavy/Viking/Power Metal, la escala con las líneas de guitarras muy parejas y llevadas con precisión.

Riding into the Sun

​

Siguiendo en la misma línea que la canción anterior con perfecta sincronía y velocidad, acordes fuertes y discretos, la batería se mezcla y da un empuje genial a la coordinación de guitarras con cambios en tempos a todo galope.

Una canción narrativa y atmosférica en la agradable voz de Walter, con un ambiente Viking/Folk quizás y en un acústico bastante bien hecha.

Tenemos una canción melodía parecida al cover de James, con una apertura acústica, ligera con excelente ambiente de fondo.

Song to Hall Up High (Bathory cover)

Para cerrar este melódico EP, tenemos este súper cover de Bathory, una súper banda legendaria dentro del mundo del Black Metal, un buen cover, oscuro y melancólico.

Mi Recomendación  

​

El nuevo EP de "Into the Glory Land" que fue lanzado hace unos meses es un buen trabajo elaborado por Crom band, podemos separarlo en dos partes, las dos primeras canciones con su parte melódica, rítmica y veloz, Power/Viking Metal y segunda parte con las tres pistas casi en su totalidad acústicas bien elaboradas con la parte acústica y un poco de Folk demostrando aquí un poco de la habilidad de los músicos en hacer ambas cosas en un solo trabajo! Crom nos enseña lo que hoy en día aún perdura! Para fans de un combinado de Power/Viking Metal como Ensiferum, Bathory, Forefather, Týr, Gatekeeper, Visigoth, Ereb Altor, entre otros. Crom band será tu mejor opción.
