The New vocalist of Leaves’ Eyes!

Greetings friends! I leave this great interview our friend Elina! Let's see a little of her biography
Elina Siirala an ex-opera singer classical training in Finland, moved to London in 2008 and fell in love with the power of rock and metal. In 2012, Elina began working with guitarist shadow and this collaboration brought the sound of the band to a new level EnkeliNation, later Elina and Shadow have joined the Ben battery and more recently bassist Julia.
After playing numerous live shows in and around London, EnkeliNation band held its first EP in September 2012. Spring 2014 saw the release of 'Tears of Lust' of his music video official and in April the band Van Canto support in the Underworld London.
More Later this year, we have this surprise to be the new lead singer of a band with great history and a great singer Liv Kristine in Leaves' Eyes! Band.

¿How are you my friend?
I’m very well thank you :)
¿How was your vocal and musical training? Tell us a little about yourself! I like your vocal range!
I was always singing when I was younger and there are a lot of recordings of me singing in my room and I even used to sing on the front steps of our house. I started taking lessons when I was 17 and then went on to study a degree in classical music. I also studied contemporary styles in London for a year.
¿What are your hobbies off the stage? Let people know you even more!
I still enjoy music off stage too, writing and going to gigs. But I also try to stay healthy by doing sports and I need it as I love to eat!! :)
¿What happens with your old band? You will continue working with them?
It’s all been a bit of a whirlwind so we will see what the future brings. We are still completing the recordings for the second album so the work is continuing…
¿How do you feel in this moment with Leaves’ Eyes?
I feel very honoured and grateful to have been asked to join the band and of course it’s been amazing playing all the gigs! There’s also been a lot of pressure on me and of course negativity too but it was expected after such a big change. Overall i feel very motivated and happy to be doing something I love so much!
Elina, ¿What has prepared to us for this year with Leaves' Eyes?
We will release a brand new single later this year which is exciting and then we have the Viking ship show in Belgium in October plus a long tour in the US so quite a lot of things!!
¿For you what means Leaves' Eyes, musically and emotionally?
I think Leaves’ Eyes is an interesting mix musically. There are a lot of different elements and the songs vary a lot which is a good thing! I think the inspiration the band uses (nature, myths, tales etc.) is in the centre with the music too. As a singer I need to find a personal way to approach each song and to try and connect with them emotionally. It’s very different than singing my own songs.
The video ‘Edge of Steel’ is great! You look great and your voice, ¿As was the production of the video and because you chose this song?
It was to show the modern day football alongside the viking game that saw the last man standing to be the winner team.
¿There will be another video clip?
I’m sure there will be but probably with the next album
¿Other musical styles do you like? Goth, Progressive, Alternative, etc…
I’m very open minded when it comes to music and I listen to lots of different styles. Sometimes I’m in the mood for Machine head and sometimes for a ballad
If you would write a new song, what would be the issue that would speak? and ¿why?
I think the guys wanted to spread the Viking tales into other countries after King of Kings so maybe we will have stories from other part of the world, we’ll see :)
¿Any surprise or tour very soon, in América and Latín América?
We will be touring in there US and Canada in November/December. Hopefully there will be more surprises coming on the way

Saludos amigos! Les dejo esta gran entrevista de nuestra amiga Elina! Veamos un poco de su biografía
Elina Siirala una ex cantante de ópera de formación clásica de Finlandia, se trasladó a Londres en 2008 y se enamoró de la potencia del rock y metal. En 2012, Elina comenzó a trabajar con el guitarrista de la sombra y esta colaboración trajo el sonido de la banda a un nuevo nivel EnkeliNation, Más tarde Elina y Shadow se han unido por el batería Ben y más recientemente el bajista Julia.
Después de tocar en numerosos espectáculos en vivo en Londres y sus alrededores, EnkeliNation band llevó a cabo su primer EP en septiembre de 2012. Primavera de 2014 vio el lanzamiento de 'Tears of Lust' de su música vídeo oficial y en abril la banda de apoyo de Van Canto en el Underworld Londres.
Posteriormente en este año, tenemos esta sorpresa de ser la nueva vocalista de una banda con gran historia y con una gran cantante Liv Kristine en Leaves’ Eyes! Band.

¿Cómo has estado?
Estoy muy bien! Gracias
Como fue tu entrenamiento musical vocal? Me gusta mucho tu rango vocal. Cuéntanos un poco sobre ti.
Cuando era más joven recuerdo que siempre estaba cantando! Incluso tengo muchas grabaciones de mí cantando en mi habitación.
Incluso llegue a cantar en las escaleras frente a mi casa.
Comencé a tomar clases cuando tenía 17 años y después me decidí a estudiar una licenciatura en música clásica.
También estudie ‘estilos contemporáneos’ durante un año en Londres.
Cuáles son tus hobbies fuera del escenario? Deja que la gente te conozca un poco más!
Aunque este fuera del escenario también disfruto de la música!
Escribir e ir de gira, pero también trato de mantenerme saludable practicando deportes. Además que lo necesito! Porque me encanta comer!
Que sucedió con tu antigua banda? Continuaras trabajando con ellos?
Todo ha sido un torbellino! Así que tendremos que esperar a ver que nos depara el futuro.
Aun estamos completando las grabaciones del segundo álbum, así que seguimos trabajando!
Cómo te sientes en estos momentos con la banda ‘Leaves’ eyes’?
Me siento honrada y muy agradecida por haber sido invitada a formar parte de la banda! Y por supuesto que ha sido asombroso formar parte de todas las giras!.
También ha habido mucha presión sobre mi y mucha negatividad, pero era de esperarse luego de un cambio tan grande!
En general me siento bastante motivada y muy feliz por estar haciendo lo que más amo!
Elina, cuéntanos un poco sobre lo que ‘Leaves’ eyes’ tiene preparado para nosotros este año.
Lanzaremos un nuevo sencillo y es muy emocionante!
En Octubre tendremos en Bélgica el show de ‘Viking Ship’, además de una extensa gira por los Estados Unidos! Así que nos esperan muchas cosas!
Que significa para ti ‘Leaves’ eyes’? musical y emocionalmente hablando.
Pienso que Leaves’ Eyes es una mezcla musical muy interesante.
Tiene muchos elementos diferentes y las canciones varían bastante, lo cual es muy bueno!
Siento que la inspiración de la banda (naturaleza, mitos y cuentos) se encuentra justo en el centro junto a la música.
Yo como cantante necesito encontrar una manera personal de aproximarme a cada canción y tratar de conectar con ellas emocionalmente.
Es bastante diferente a cantar mis propias canciones.
El video 'Edge of Steel' es genial! Te ves muy bien y tu voz, ¿Cómo fue la producción del video y porque eligió esta canción?
Era para mostrar el fútbol de hoy en día junto con el juego vikingo que vio el último hombre de pie a ser el equipo ganador.

Dinos, Como fue la producción del video y por que eligieron esta canción?
Habrá nuevo videoclip?
Estoy segura de que si, pero probablemente hasta el siguiente álbum.
Que otros estilos musicales te gustan? Gótico, Progresivo, alternativo?
Soy de mente muy abierta en cuanto a la música y disfruto de escuchar muchos estilos diferentes.
A veces estoy de humor para escuchar ‘Machine Head’ y otras de escuchar una balada.
Si escribieras una canción nueva, cuál sería el tema del que te gustaría hablar y por qué?
Pienso que a los chicos de Leaves’ Eyes les gusta compartir los cuentos vikingos en otros países, sobre todo después de ‘King of kings’.
Así que quizá tendremos historias de otras partes del mundo que compartir.
Alguna sorpresa o tour próximo? Vendrán a Latinoamérica?
En Noviembre y Diciembre estaremos de tour por Estados Unidos.
