The band Burning Witches was founded during spring 2015 in Brugg, beautiful Switzerland, by guitar player Romana Kalkuhl. It has always been her big dream to perform with a women's heavy metal band on stage. During the music university studies she already started her first group: ATLAS & AXIS with which she has already recorded two albums and played several concerts!

In 2015 Romana started to look for talented ladies for the new combo. Jeanine Grob (bass) a longtime friend, became the first official member. At a party on a festival Romana met Seraina Telli (singer) for the first time. It clicked right away betweens the two girls, on a musical and on a personal level.

Romana wrote her mate Schmier from DESTRUCTION / PANZER about her new project, he was interested in the new outfit and the ladies brought him onboard as a producer / consultant!

After an intensive search and different auditions, BURNING WITCHES found Lala Frischknecht the perfect drummer for the all chick metal band . Since summer 2015, the girls have been working hard on new material and in autumn 2015 they recorded the first three songs with VO Pulver at Little Creek Studio (PANZER / PRO PAIN / DESTRUCTION).

The search for the right band name was kind of easy, because if four crazy girls burn hard for Heavy Metal, they can only call themselves BURNING WITCHES.

After two records the old singer left the band because of personal reasons and in summer 2019 the girls welcomed Laura Guldemond into their coven as a new Witch on the microphone. The Dutch vocalist made her debut at the Sweden Rock festival and recorded the new album “Dance With The Devil” with the girls!

We start with a dense attack of chords and riffs that increase with force and power, Melody and rhythm full of heavy and energetic guitars! Choirs and with a very hypnotic rhythm.

Necronomicon

A denser, stronger song, even heavier chords which here the guitars showing off their strength combined with a very forceful drums, the refrains and very well achieved solos along with the frenetic voices and sharp riffs conquering each very hard and musical scale. with strong step.

Changing the pace and speed a bit! A little lighter chords and also the voice, lightening the musical load with more rhythm and melody! A catchier song with great choruses that hook you! A little bit of Power Metal.

My Recomendation

The new album of the five powerful witches! They make it shine, stand out and the versatility they do with this heavy metal in all its splendor, with a little power metal that hooks on more than one song! The album "Dance With The Devil" with 12 songs with a powerful Heavy Metal that we have not listened sincerely for a long time! Which include a short introduction to each song and form a continuous and very melodic album with catchy hooks and very dense and sharp riffs throughout. The heavy metal that they leave us is has some very high ranges, very fast at times, suddenly a little slow with powerful and sharp riffs full of fury as I mentioned a moment ago and especially with dark lyrics throughout the album.

The Voice

With the addition of Laura Guldemond Burning Witches leaves us an album full of fury and deadly spells for those who listen! The scale that Laura has with the rhythm changes are excellent! Heartbreaking and gloomy screams as it should be! The classic Heavy Metal scream grazes the skin, and we can also hear her clean and soft voice at times.

La banda Burning Witches fue fundada durante la primavera de 2015 en Brugg, la hermosa Suiza, por la guitarrista Romana Kalkuhl. Siempre ha sido su gran sueño actuar con una banda de heavy metal de mujeres en el escenario. Durante los estudios universitarios de música ya formó su primer grupo: ATLAS & AXIS con el que ya ha grabado dos discos y dado varios conciertos.

En 2015, Romana comenzó a buscar mujeres con talento para el nuevo combo. Jeanine Grob (bajo), una amiga de mucho tiempo, se convirtió en la primera miembro oficial. En una fiesta en un festival, Romana conoció a Seraina Telli (cantante) por primera vez. Hizo clic de inmediato entre las dos chicas, a nivel musical y personal.

Romana le escribió a su compañero Schmier de DESTRUCTION / PANZER sobre su nuevo proyecto, él estaba interesado en el nuevo atuendo y las mujeres lo trajeron a bordo como productor / consultor.

Después de una búsqueda intensa y diferentes audiciones, BURNING WITCHES encontró a Lala Frischknecht como la baterista perfecta para la banda de chick metal. Acordes explosivos! Velocidad y ritmos fuertes, un heavy metal! Con todo el poder clásico con un canto agudo y afilado que nos engancha con toda su fuerza, riffs pesados con esos acordes contundentes y muy afilados! Doble bombo a tope!

Dance With The Devil

El tema principal del albúm haciendo su aparición con unos riffs afilados y fuertes, un heavy metal con mucha nostalgia y recuerdo de aquello años ochenta, con mucha fuerza, la voz en perfecta armonía con esas escalas y estribillos de guitarras fenomenales.

Wings Of Steel*

Excelente explosión musical con ritmos frenéticos y poderosos riffs más afilados y potentes! Mayor velocidad y ferocidad! Las Brujas haciendo honor a su nombre! Creo que aquí hay speed metal con perfectos cambios de ritmo y escala.

Six Feet Underground

Seguimos con la explosión llena de riffs poderosos y desafiantes! La voz de Laura con un gancho excelente lleno de Heavy Metal! Esta canción es más melódica.

Black Magic

Cambiando un poco en ritmo y melodía, comenzamos un poco más melancólicos, con la entrada de la voz limpia de Laura acompañada de acorde de guitarra acústica, combinación de voces, y poco a poco los demás instrumentos haciendo compañía, una balada aquí nos dejan.

Volvemos con fuerza y pesadez lleno de furia! Con el grito desgarrador que caracteriza al Heavy Metal que empieza a crecer y nos llena de riffs posteriormente con ritmos lentos pero fuertes sin duda.

Comenzamos con un ataque denso de acordes y riffs que aumentan con fuerza y poder, Melodía y ritmo lleno de guitarras pesadas y llenas de energía! Coros y con un ritmo muy hipnótico.

Una canción más densa, fuerte, acordes aún más pesados el cual aquí las guitarras haciendo gala de su fuerza combinada con una batería muy contundente, los estribillos y solos muy bien logrados junto a las voces frenéticas y riffs afilados conquistando cada escala musical muy dura y con paso fuerte.

The Final Fight

Cambiando un poco el ritmo y velocidad! Acordes un poco más ligeros y también la voz, aligerando la carga musical con más ritmo y melodía! Una canción más pegadiza y con grandes coros que te enganchan! Un poco de Power Metal.

Threefold Return

Regresa la furia en esta canción! Acordes contundentes, densos con un ritmo lento, con mucha potencia, escalas más constantes, los riffs afiladísimos y potentes en una escala mayor, esta canción tiene una mayor estructura de fondo.

Un excelente cover de Manowar con el estilo y marca de Burning Witches!

Mi Recomendación

El nuevo albúm de las cinco poderosas brujas! Hacen brillar, destacar y la versatilidad que hacen con este heavy metal en todo su esplendor, con un poco de power metal que engancha en más de un tema! El albúm "Dance With The Devil" con 12 canciones con un Heavy Metal potente que hace mucho no escuchamos sinceramente! La cual incluyen una breve introducción cada canción y forman un albúm continuo y muy melódico con ganchos pegadizos y riffs muy densos y afilados en todo momento. El heavy metal que nos dejan ellas es tiene algunos rangos muy altos, muy veloces a ratos, de repente un poco lentos con poderosos y afilados riffs llenos de furia como lo comente hace un momento y sobre todo con una obscura letra en todo el disco.
