Who are Enemy Inside?

​

The darkest hours make us what we are. We all have this voice inside our head, our very own enemy, keeping us from following our dreams. Sometimes we need to forget the past and start over. Like a Phoenix, we will rise from the flames. We will set the sky on fire. The heat will vaporize our tears and burn our scars to dust. It is always darkest before the dawn. We are the masters of our minds. We are the ENEMY INSIDE!

How are you Enemy Inside band?

​

Nastassja Giulia:

​

We’re fine thanks! Currently very busy with planning new shows and collecting ideas for our second álbum.

 

Tell us a little about you? Who are Enemy inside?

​

Nastassja Giulia:

​

We’re a band from Germany. Our music is somewhere between dark rock and modern metal. We recently released our debut álbum “Phoenix“.

​

Who is Nastassja Giulia? Tell us a Little about you!

​

Nastassja Giulia:

​

I was born and raised in Germany. I’m 25, half Italian and half German. As my father is a musician as well, music has always been a very important part of my life. I started singing and writing songs very early, I always wanted to be a singer. I’m outgoing and I talk a lot but I also need a lot of time for myself.

​

Tell us a little about your musical influences Nastassja?

​

Nastassja Giulia:

​

My musical influences are probably pretty versatile and I enjoy a lot of different music but nothing affects me like the music I loved when I was 11-14 “Nirvana” was definitely the band that got me into rock music. I listened to them all day and my mother bought me a guitar for Christmas and I started writing songs. I was a huge Metallica, HIM, Slipknot & Limp Bizkit Fan and I really loved the whole Nu-Metal Era. When I was 12 my mom got me the Marilyn Manson “Lest We Forget” Album for my birthday (I just realize how cool my mom is). He’s probably one of the artists that has inspired me the most. Couldn’t get enough of his music.

Excellent surprise! The Reverend MM! Nu Metal! All these band sounds very well, i like Korn!

You have a good voice! What is your vocal training?

​

Nastassja Giulia: Thank you! I studied music at a University in Germany.

​

How do you combination this concept with “Dark Rock” and “Modern Metal”?

​

Nastassja Giulia:

​

It’s always difficult to find a proper label for music. I think a mixture between Dark Rock and Modern Metal describes our music best, because it’s modern, it’s dark (arrangement & lyric wise) and it meets somewhere between rock and metal. I think “Modern Dark Rock” would be a good term as well.

​

The lyrics of the songs was composed for you?

​

Nastassja Giulia:

​

All of the songs were written by Evan K. and myself. As a singer I focused more on the vocal melodies and lyrics.

​

What has been the acceptance of his álbum 'Phoenix' in Germany?

​

Nastassja Giulia:

​

We’re overwhelmed by all the positive feedback we’re receiving for our album so far …inside and outside of Germany. We actually have a lot of listeners and fans from abroad.

​

All the vídeos are very good! The video for “Falling Away” was great! Why did you choose this

song to make the video of ‘Phoenix’ álbum?

​

Nastassja Giulia: We chose Falling Away as our first Videoclip because we think it’s one of our strongest songs and it has a very catchy melody.

​

What does mean the art work of this álbum?

​

Nastassja Giulia:

​

The Black and gold captures the common theme of our album and has kinda become our trade mark. It mirrors the contrast between light and dark, friend and foe, good & evil. The headpiece with the bird skull and feathers takes up the Phoenix theme and the red circle represents the circle of life and the cycle of rebirth. The closed eyes are standing for being at peace with yourself and not looking back.

​

What can we expect as fans of this álbum?

​

Nastassja Giulia: Catchy melodies, heavy guitar riffs & virtuous solos. But just have a listen yourself!

¿Quiénes son Enemy Inside?

​

Las horas más oscuras nos hacen lo que somos. Todos tenemos esta voz dentro de nuestra cabeza, nuestro propio enemigo, que nos impide seguir nuestros sueños. A veces necesitamos olvidar el pasado y volver a empezar. Como un Fénix, nos levantaremos de las llamas. Vamos a prender fuego al cielo. El calor vaporizará nuestras lágrimas y quemará nuestras cicatrices hasta convertirlas en polvo. Siempre es más oscuro antes del amanecer. Somos los amos de nuestras mentes. ¡Somos el enemigo interior!

¿Cómo está la banda Enemy Inside?

​

Nastassja Giulia:

estamos bien, gracias! Actualmente muy ocupados con la planificación de nuevos espectáculos y la recopilación de ideas para nuestro segundo álbum.

¿Cuéntanos un poco de ti? ¿Quiénes son Enemy Inside?

​

Nastassja Giulia:

Somos una banda de Alemania. Nuestra música está en algún lugar entre el rock oscuro y el metal moderno. Recientemente lanzamos nuestro álbum debut "Phoenix".

​

¿Quién es Nastassja Giulia? Cuéntanos un poco de ti!

​

Nastassja Giulia:

​

Nací y crecí en Alemania. Tengo 25 años, mitad italiana y mitad alemana. Como mi padre también es músico, la música siempre ha sido una parte muy importante de mi vida. Comencé a cantar y escribir canciones muy temprano, siempre quise ser cantante. Soy extrovertida y hablo mucho, pero también necesito mucho tiempo para mí.

 

 

¿Cuéntanos un poco acerca de tus influencias musicales Nastassja?

​

Nastassja Giulia:

​

Mis influencias musicales son probablemente muy versátiles y disfruto de mucha música diferente, pero nada me afecta como la música que amaba cuando tenía entre 11 y 14 años. "Nirvana" fue definitivamente la banda que me introdujo en la música rock. Los escuchaba todo el día y mi madre me compró una guitarra para Navidad y empecé a escribir canciones. Fui una gran fanática de Metallica, HIM, Slipknot & Limp Bizkit y realmente me encantó toda la era de Nu-Metal. Cuando tenía 12 años, mi mamá me regaló el álbum de Marilyn Manson "Lest We Forget" para mi cumpleaños (solo me doy cuenta de lo genial que es mi mamá). Probablemente sea uno de los artistas que más me ha inspirado. No podía tener suficiente de su música.

Tienes una buena voz! ¿Cuál es tu entrenamiento vocal?

​

Nastassja Giulia: ¡Gracias! Estudié música en una Universidad de Alemania.

¿Cómo combinas este concepto con “Dark Rock” y “Modern Metal”?

​

Nastassja Giulia:

​

Siempre es difícil encontrar una etiqueta adecuada para la música. Creo que una mezcla entre Dark Rock y Modern Metal describe mejor nuestra música, porque es moderna, es oscura (arreglada y lírica) y se encuentra en algún lugar entre el rock y el metal. Creo que "Modern Dark Rock" también sería un buen término.

¿La letra de las canciones fue compuesta por ti?

​

Nastassja Giulia:

​

todas las canciones fueron escritas por Evan K. y yo. Como cantante me centré más en las melodías vocales y en las letras.

​

¿Cuál ha sido la aceptación de su álbum 'Phoenix' en Alemania?

​

Nastassja Giulia:

 

Estamos abrumados por todos los comentarios positivos que estamos recibiendo para nuestro álbum hasta ahora... dentro y fuera de Alemania. En realidad tenemos muchos oyentes y fanáticos del extranjero.

​

Todos los vídeos son muy buenos! El vídeo de "Falling Away" fue genial! ¿Por qué elegiste esta canción para hacer el video del álbum "Phoenix"?

​

Nastassja Giulia:

 

Elegimos Falling Away como nuestro primer videoclip porque creemos que es una de nuestras canciones más fuertes y tiene una melodía muy pegadiza.

​

¿Qué significa la portada de este álbum?

​

Nastassja Giulia:

​

The Black and Gold captura el tema común de nuestro álbum y se ha convertido en nuestra marca. Refleja el contraste entre la luz y la oscuridad, el amigo y el enemigo, el bien y el mal. El casco con el cráneo y las plumas de las aves retoma el tema del Fénix y el círculo rojo representa el círculo de la vida y el ciclo de renacimiento. Los ojos cerrados están de pie para estar en paz contigo mismo y no mirar atrás.

​

¿Qué podemos esperar como fans de este álbum?

​

Nastassja Giulia: melodías pegadizas, riffs pesados de guitarra y solos virtuosos. ¡Pero solo escuchen!
