Is for me a great opportunity to have heard this great album ! which has a very interesting combination of talents , both in the structural part of the disco music and composition and management of singers and instruments that make this album something different and distinct , not know about you , but the transmission of emotions in each musical track you can feel and notice , each song is a different metaphorical state ,this is the track that left me to hear over and over again !

Here my review , rather than a simple overview is a semblance of the quality of work we are providing this combination of talents !

Alone:

The majestic entrance of this piece of music gives us an entry into a world of mystical and supernatural angelic voices with symphonic strings combine the preamble grandly , with a very melancholy lyricism and emotion , hence its name.

Taking On the World;

Here we have a host of voices make this song very beautiful and if that's the word , because it has a combination of voices Maxi , Grace and Iliana , in combination with the great voice of VK Lynne ! The tessitura of each fits perfectly in time with the song without a voice have more sound than another, the music is full of rich and harmonious guitar riffs that give a unique touch , especially the one to the half of the track , this song highlights changing parts which alternate with choral passages and the background symphony .

The lyric highlights much emotion of pain and the feelings of the artist to be in this changing world to take its shape.

Vita nova;

This song moves from the beginning, a sublime metaphorical entrance , with the participation of Kerstin 's beautiful voice , clear voice tinged sublime , the development of the song is slow but marked with the voice that emotion prints force and clarity that will alternate throughout the song , the riff is excellent given a face cut flawless , the song itself speaks of this metaphorical passion they have done here, with final perpetual silence the listener to keep listening more !

Scary place:

In this track we input the majestic strong participation Gogo Melone , is interesting voices ! remains in one clear rhythm and melodic, the song and its lyrical intertwine what they want us to understand from a place of fear.

Regardless of the speed of the song fit ! What you keep getting the touch is the background riff , which the two previous songs have them, the song is quiet and keeps the force at the beginning and at the end no comment is great.

On Christmas Day:

A beautiful song with a sublime voice input and seduction rich , symphonic strings are great guitar eventually comes strong and powerful battery , we share the beautiful voice of Helen Vogt , what 's different about this song is the voice accompanying guttural end , here we note again the use of the guitar and drums more than the previous songs , in fact I feel more Rocker the Track and in turn melancholy lyrics which is very evident in every song!

Ephermeral:

A song with different voices but that links one sentence , ' Ephermeral ' duet of male and female voice with the participation of strong and melodic voice Babis Nickou, with a notable piano and classical guitar gives you the feeling that accompanies Efimera which your letter gives excellent stability and melancholic epitaph !

Alone part II;

The second part of the environmental input with a mysterious atmosphere , sublime and profound which is the prelude to the series end, a very symphonic and cut an opening with a clean , angelic voice a sublime record!

The next two songs are the same versions of the tracks of Taking On the World ( album version ) and Scary place in its alternative.

Tell us all about the Vita Nova album! How did this project begin?

“It was almost three years ago now, when I found Eve’s Apple and discovered that singer / composer VK Lynne was looking for a producer for a song she wrote with Lisa Middelhauve. I immediately decided to jump in! What I did is a full arrangement of the song and a basic recording of the main instruments in my studio. VK Lynne especially liked the way I worked and the shape I gave to their song, so she sent me another track called Vita Nova… That was the beginning of everything!”

¿What conveys this great album? ¿Who writes the songs?

“The first ideas of most of the songs came from VK Lynne, she usually sends me some recordings with only a vocal track and a comping guitar, sometimes only vocals (like for Alone or Taking On The World). I love it by the way, because good songs survive even when you hear them without “dresses” (arrangement). Before going to the studio, I always try to understand what the song wants to tell to the listener, not only in terms of words but also, and essentially, of musical emotions. I like to think about dynamics, instruments, a sort of a first idea of arrangement. Of course, many things are discussed and decided together with VK and the rest of the team (Tony Corizia and Thomas D’Alba – bass player and drummer). I’ve also picked many sounds together with SteelNight Studios sound engineer Lorenzo Ardoni, who contributed a lot in the production. Lyrics are mostly by VK Lynne, except for Ephemeral that it’s been written together. I like the way VK writes lyrics because they sound original and true. They’re just not the same old words, they doesn’t only sound good. I mean, they really tell something, to me at least. They talk about true life, feelings, desires and emotions. That’s what the album tries to vehicle.

The combination of voices, there was a problem with that? “Well I wouldn’t say that the number of voices gave me troubles, but it’s been very interesting, and sometimes not really easy I have to admit, to mix the singers together, especially when we had two soloist singing together. All the singers have been recorded in different studios, with different microphones, rooms and equipment. And of course they all sound different! So I tried not to make them sound as identical as possible, but to emphasize the beauty of each voice... Without losing consistency, definitely not an easy job! So when you hear VK singing with Maxi Nil you can distinguish very well the two, the same thing happens with Gogo Melone or with Helen Vogt. All the voices are just marvelous, I really couldn’t say what’s my favourite!!

¿what song is the anthem of the album? and why?

I wouldn’t call it “anthem” but it seems the song called Vita Nova became a sort of trademark for the whole project: the tipology of sounds, one guest singer (the incredible Kerstin Bischof – Ex Xandria) singing together with VK, an inspired guitar solo, an orchestral section… It was the first song we did and it seems people enjoyed it a lot and still enjoys it. It’s been selected for the Absolute Grrrls Manifesto (among with Leave’s Eyes and Xandria), it’s in the Top Ten of Women Of Metal radio show (among Nightwish, Arch Enemy and Xandria), it’s been broadcasted all around the world and through YouTube it received a fan video with subtitles in spanish. This unexpected success gave us all the energy required to produce a crazy thing like a full lenght album! By the way, VK and I decided to remix and remaster Vita Nova for the album, so it’s included in both the CD and virtual versions.

¿There will be a video?

We’re working on that, it won’t be easy due to the distances but we’re trying to plan something… Original!

¿Describe the album as musical and vocal essence? that conveys Vita Nova?

Well the album is meant to be the essence of the whole project: the interaction between artists, singers, musicians, in the cyberspace. But also an interaction between different countries, cultures, backgrounds. Each singer’s got his own interpretation, his own technique and personal feeling. To me, it’s been a great experience of work. I really hope this huge amount of passion will get to our listeners!

Tell us about your main project in Italy, Deva and your other musical projects to all our readers

¡Here my friend said!

Deva is my main project here in Italy, it's basically focused on the soprano singer Beatrice Palumbo: she's got an incredible voice and I work with her from a very long time. We came out with our first full-lenght album ("Between Life And Dreams" four years ago, it was april 2010. Then we began the works of what is our second effort, "Murther", with many of the italian members of the Vita Nova team. The album is going to see the light the 25th of February. I really can't wait to release it, it's a mixture of Gothic and Progressive Metal, Symphonic and Trash, Electronic and Dark... I wouldn't know how to define it, it's just something that tries to embrace so many of the modern genres. And the 15 tracks tell a dramatic story of the medieval age, so it's also my first concept-album!

I met many great musicians that are also great teachers... I don't know if I do better (or worst!) as musician or as teacher, but one thing is for sure: I love my instrument, I love guitar and I love music. So, it always came very natural to me teaching guitar, music theory, harmony, ensemble, arranging, recording... I had the luck of being involved in some guitar books and also for other instruments (bass guitar, drums, Jazz harmony). "Suona In Una Band" (the main book I wrote as author) wants to be a complementary course for the modern Rock guitarist and it reflects my philosophy: approach all the styles, create yours. In other words, mix and try to learn from all the music! Every music style has something to tell and there's always something new that only awaits ot be discovered!

¡Me es para mí una gran oportunidad de haber escuchado este buen disco! cual tiene una combinación de talentos muy interesantes, tanto en la parte estructural de la música y composición del disco así como de cantantes y manejo de instrumentos que hacen de este disco algo diferente y distinto, no sé ustedes, pero la trasmisión de emociones en cada track musical se puede sentir y notar, cada canción es un estado metafórico distinto, ¡esa es la huella que me dejo al escucharlo una y otra vez!

Aquí mi reseña, más que una simple reseña es una semblanza de la calidad de trabajo que nos están otorgando esta combinación de talentos!

Alone:

La entrada majestuosa de esta pieza musical nos da una entrada a un mundo místico y sobrenatural de voces angelicales con secuencias sinfónicas que combinan grandiosamente el preámbulo, con una lírica y emoción muy melancólica, de ahí su nombre.

Taking On the World;

Aquí tenemos un cumulo de voces que hacen de esta canción muy hermosa y si esa es la palabra, porque tiene una combinación de voces de Maxi, Grace e Iliana, en combinación con la gran voz de VK Lynne! Las tesituras de cada una de ellas se acopla perfectamente al compás de la canción sin que una voz tenga más sonoridad que otra, la parte musical está llena de ricos y armoniosos riffs de guitarra que le dan un toque único, sobre todo el solo a la mitad del track, destaca esta canción por las piezas cambiantes donde alternan con los pasajes corales y la parte sinfónica de fondo.

La lirica resalta mucho la emoción de dolor y de lo que siente el intérprete al verse en este mundo cambiante al tomarlo a su forma.

Vita nova;

Esta canción conmueve desde el inicio, una entrada metafórica y sublime, con la participación de la hermosa voz de Kerstin, voz sublime con matiz claro, el desarrollo de la canción es lenta pero marcada con la voz que nos imprime emoción de fuerza y claridad que se va alternando en toda la canción, el riff es excelente le da un corte presencial impecable, la canción misma nos habla de esta pasión metafórica de lo que han hecho aquí, con un final en silencio que perpetua al escucha a seguir escuchando más!

Scary place:

En esta track de entrada fuerte contamos con la majestuosa participación de Gogo Melone, es interesante las voces! se mantiene en un solo ritmo claro y melódico, la canción y su lirica entrelazan lo que quieren darnos a entender de un lugar de miedo.

Sin importar la velocidad de la canción se adaptan! Lo que le sigue dando el toque es el riff de fondo, el cual las dos canciones anteriores las tienen, la canción es tranquila y mantiene la fuerza del principio y en la parte final sin comentarios es estupenda.

On Christmas Day:

Una canción bella, con una entrada de voz sublime y rica en seducción, las secuencias sinfónicas son geniales eventualmente entra una guitarra fuerte y batería potente, tenemos la participación de la bella voz de Helen Vogt, lo que hace diferente a esta canción es la voz gutural que acompaña al final, aquí notamos más el empleo de la guitarra y batería más que en las anteriores canciones, de hecho las siento más Rockero el Track y a su vez melancólico en la letra el cual es muy notorio en todas las canciones!

Ephermeral:

Una canción con voces distintas pero que las une una sola frase, ‘Ephermeral’ dueto de voz masculina y femenina con la participación de la voz fuerte y melódica de Babis Nickou, con un notorio piano y guitarra clásica que acompaña dándole la sensación Efimera el cual su letra da estabilidad y epitafio melancólico excelente!

Alone part II;

La segunda parte de la entrada ambiental con una atmosfera misteriosa, sublime y profunda el cual es el preludio de la saga final, un corte muy sinfónico y de una obertura con una voz limpia y angelical un excelso disco!

Las siguientes dos canciones son las mismas versiones de los tracks de Taking On the World (versión del álbum) y Scary place en su versión alternativa.

La variedad de temas que encontramos aquí en este gran disco es buena! siendo complementados por solos de guitarra y batería muy bien elaborada al igual que contundente.

Es un disco en el cual podrán encontrar nostalgia y emoción personal! al puro estilo Rock/Metal con componentes Goth/Sinfónicos, una lírica que le da un toque personal a cada canción, un disco continuo con una entrada y final atmosférica, pasivo y fuerte a su estilo.

Es importante destacar la participación de talentos en voces que le dan una estampa que no todas las agrupaciones logran al unir varios talentos (presente en este su álbum debut) dándole un buen resultado a este proyecto de Metal Sinfónico/Goth.

Los temas representativos son Taking On the World y Vita nova

Con una corta duración de 30 minutos Vita nova ha logrado producir excelentes combinaciones tanto musical como en voz, para los amantes de este género se los recomiendo!

El arte del disco muy conceptual y metafórico el cual puede ser interpretado de manera emocional para cada uno, con una propuesta un poco distinta musicalmente.

Cuéntanos todo sobre el álbum Vita Nova! ¿Cómo empezó este proyecto?

"Fue hace casi tres años, cuando me enteré de Eva Apple y descubrí que el cantante / compositor VK Lynne estaba buscando un productor para una canción que escribió con Lisa Middelhauve . Inmediatamente decidí a saltar! Lo que hice es un arreglo completo de la canción y una grabación básica de los principales instrumentos en mi estudio. Especialmente VK Lynne le gustó la manera en que yo trabajaba y la forma que le di a su canción, así que ella me envió otra pista llamada Vita Nova ... Ese fue el comienzo de todo! "

¿Qué transmite este gran álbum? ¿Quién escribe las canciones?

Las primeras ideas de la mayor parte de las canciones provenían de VK Lynne, que por lo general me envía algunas grabaciones con sólo una pista de voz y una guitarra bocetos , a veces sólo la voz ( como por Solos o asumir el Mundial) . Me encanta, por cierto, porque las buenas canciones sobreviven aun cuando las escuche sin " vestidos " (con cita previa) . Antes de ir al estudio, yo siempre trato de entender lo que la canción quiere decirle al oyente, no sólo en términos de palabras, sino también, y esencialmente, de las emociones musicales. Me gusta pensar acerca de la dinámica, los instrumentos, una especie de una primera idea de la disposición. Por supuesto, muchas cosas se discuten y deciden junto con VK y el resto del equipo (Tony Corizia y Thomas D' Alba - bajista y baterista) . Yo también he recogido muchos sonidos junto con SteelNight Studios ingeniero de sonido Lorenzo Ardoni , que contribuyó mucho en la producción . Letras son en su mayoría por VK Lynne , a excepción de efímero que se ha escrito juntos. Me gusta la forma VK escribe letras porque suenan original y auténtico. Ellos simplemente no las mismas palabras, que no sólo suenan bien. Quiero decir, lo que realmente dicen algo, al menos para mí. Ellos hablan acerca de la verdadera vida, los sentimientos, los deseos y las emociones. Eso es lo que el álbum trata de vehículo.

¿La combinación de voces, había un problema con eso?

" Bueno, yo no diría que el número de voces que me dio problemas, pero ha sido muy interesante , ya veces no muy fácil tengo que admitir , para mezclar los cantantes juntos, especialmente cuando tuvimos dos solista cantando juntos . Todos los cantantes se han registrado en diferentes estudios, con diferentes micrófonos, salas y equipo. Y por supuesto que todos suenen diferente! Así que traté de no hacer que suenen lo más similar posible, pero para destacar la belleza de cada voz ... Sin perder consistencia , definitivamente no es un trabajo fácil ! Así que cuando escuche VK cantando con Maxi Cero se puede distinguir muy bien los dos, lo mismo sucede con Gogo Melone o con Helen Vogt. Todas las voces son simplemente maravilloso, realmente no podría decir cuál es mi favorito!

¿Qué canción es el himno del álbum? y ¿por qué?

Yo no lo llamaría " himno " pero parece que la canción que se llama Vita Nova se convirtió en una especie de marca registrada para todo el proyecto: la tipología de los sonidos, una cantante invitada (el increíble Kerstin Bischof - Ex Xandria ) cantando junto con VK , un inspirado solo de guitarra , una sección orquestal ... fue la primera canción que hicimos y parece que la gente lo disfruté mucho y todavía lo disfruta. Ha sido seleccionado para el Grrrls absolutos Manifiesto (entre con los ojos y Xandria de irse) , está en el Top Ten de la Mujer De Metal programa de radio (entre Nightwish, Arch Enemy y Xandria ) , que ha sido difundido en todo el mundo ya través de YouTube que recibió un fan video con subtítulos en español . Este éxito inesperado nos dio toda la energía necesaria para producir una locura como un álbum de longitud lleno! Por cierto, VK y yo decidimos a remezclar y remasterizar Vita Nova para el álbum, por lo que está incluido en el CD como versiones virtuales.

¿Habrá un video?

Estamos trabajando en eso, no será fácil debido a las distancias, pero estamos tratando de planear algo ... ¡Original!

¿Describir el álbum como esencia musical y vocal? ¿que transmite Vita Nova?

Bueno, el disco está destinado a ser la esencia de todo el proyecto: la interacción entre artistas, cantantes, músicos, en el ciberespacio. Pero también una interacción entre los diferentes países, culturas, procedencias. Cada cantante tiene su propia interpretación, su propia técnica y sentimiento personal. Para mí, ha sido una gran experiencia de trabajo. Realmente espero que esta enorme cantidad de pasión llegará a nuestros oyentes!

¡ Aquí nuestro amigo dijo !

Deva es mi proyecto principal aquí en Italia , se centra básicamente en la cantante soprano Beatriz Palumbo : ella tiene una voz increíble y yo trabajo con ella desde hace mucho tiempo . Salimos con nuestro primer álbum de grabacion completa ( "Entre la vida y los sueños " hace cuatro años, que fue en abril de 2010. Entonces comenzamos las obras de lo que es nuestro segundo esfuerzo " Murther " , con muchos de los miembros italianos de la equipo de Vita Nova. el álbum va a ver la luz el 25 de febrero. realmente no puedo esperar para liberarlo , es una mezcla de gótico y metal progresivo , sinfónico y Papelera , Electrónica y oscuro ... yo no lo haría sé cómo definirlo , es sólo algo que intenta abrazar a tantos de los géneros modernos. Y las 15 pistas contar una historia dramática de la época medieval , por lo que también es mi primer concepto -álbum !

Conocí a muchos grandes músicos que también son grandes maestros ... No sé si lo hago mejor como músico o como maestro, pero una cosa es segura (o peor !) : Me encanta mi instrumento , me encanta la guitarra y me encanta la música . Por lo tanto, siempre estuvo muy natural para mí dar clases de guitarra , solfeo , armonía , conjunto , arreglar, grabar ... Tuve la suerte de estar involucrado en algunos libros de la guitarra y también para otros instrumentos ( guitarra bajo, batería , Jazz armonía ) . " Suona En Una Banda " ( el principal libro que escribí como autor) quiere ser un curso complementario para el moderno Guitarrista de rock y refleja mi filosofía : acercar a todos los estilos , crear el tuyo . En otras palabras , mezclar y tratar de aprender de toda la música ! Cada estilo de música tiene algo que contar y siempre hay algo nuevo que sólo espera ot ser descubiertos!
