Regards! Friends! Here is my full review! From Italy with his sixth studio album "Wine of Heaven" Mastercastle is an Italian heavy metal band that fuses traditional metal qualities with the grandeur of neoclassical music.

1. "Drink of Me"

​

A quiet start, with an introduction of synthesizers and guitars, slow and strong with the pleasant voice of Giorgia Gueglio, chords according to the theme. A good solo solo by Pier Gonella, mixing with the synthesizers!

​

2. "Space of Variations"

​

The voice of Giorgia more relaxed and melodic, with more appearance on this track! With a regular and harmonic sound of guitars and drums, synthesizers with greater chords, good riffs and a better synthesis between melody and voice, plus a single cleaner!

​

3. "Wine of Heaven"

​

A slower song in contrast to the music and voice! Pause until the voice of Giorgia, the choir is better accommodated to the song. The musical style of the two previous songs continues being proposed in this new song, adding the contributions of a second male voice that accompany and the solos.

​

4. "Hot as Blood"

​

Same tempo and speed as the previous songs, same range in voice and intensity of the pleasant voice of Giorgia, the times and pauses for the solos are very similar than in the other songs, good riffs and classics. Mastercastle bet on the known and the song goes well!

​

5. "Shine on Me"

​

A more rhythmic song, but in the chords of the slightly high notes the beautiful voice of Giorgia is sharpened considerably, although this gives a different style unlike previous songs good melody, but at all times it is perceived that they are not amalgamated The voices with the style that Mastercastle seeks to propose.

​

6. "Black Tree's Heart"

​

The song with a entrance more atmospheric and cleaner which we can appreciate the voice of Giorgia accompanied by piano and later some guitars different and forceful within the style and according to the song, with the solos that does not cease to make presence, the ballad of the Album, and for me one of the best both in musical structure and in the voice, the song is between the sensitivity and the dark without disentangling in time and rhythm.

7. "Enlightenment"

​

Excellent heavier and more harmonious entry! It has classic metal records and a catchy chorus that also place the song within the best of the album. The guitar solo is more structured and more rhythmic unlike the previous ones, and at the same time short but well done!

​

8. "Castle in the Sky"

​

Slower and prettier sound, an instrument in which Pier Gonella unfolds everything. The synthesizers combine with a melody of epic dyes and futuristic sounds from there, to take turns both records within the album.

​

9. "Making Love"

​

The album closes with a cover of Yngwie Malmsteen, is well done, but the result is ambiguous and curious, when listening to this type of musical contrasts although, Gonella does well its part in the guitar.

​

My Recomendation

​

Listening to Mastercastle has as well the softness and tranquility, This time it is easier to appreciate the beauty of Giorgia's pleasant voice, for the work of Gonella. She adds a particularly high level of excitement to Black Tree's Heart, a power ballad and Hot As Blood. Mastercastle has made adjustments to his formula here, although softening the voice of Giorgia Gueglio definitely makes the album Wine of Heaven more enjoyable and appreciable than the previous album. What is striking is the superb production and sound of professionalism in the scene quite remarkable.

 

 

+ The Good

​

 It is musically continuous, with a rhythm and slow-steady speed, with regular songs and some catchy, with soft entries and later they become a little heavier, they do not change the style of some songs, but we appreciate the voice of Giorgia and the sounds Mixed throughout the album.

​

-The Bad

​

It is that some songs, are similar in the musical style, in some the voice does not fit a little to the chords.

Technique

​

Good management of instruments throughout the album, the synthesizers with a lot of presence as well as the ones some longer than others and according to the song showing and transmitting what is interpreted.

Vocal

​

It has a very smooth record, getting very sharp in some notes that we appreciate and about comes out in all the songs so that we can appreciate the body of the song with the voice, with good tessitura and time in scale according to the song with a moderate acute -Great, the voice of Giorgia is very nice!

Saludos! Amigos! Aquí les dejo mi reseña completa!  Desde Italia con su sexto disco de estudio “Wine of Heaven” Mastercastle es una banda italiana de heavy metal que fusiona las cualidades de metal tradicionales con la grandiosidad de la música neoclásica.

​

1. "Drink of Me"

Un inicio tranquilo, con una introducción de sintetizadores y guitarras acordes, lentas y fuertes con la agradable voz de Giorgia Gueglio, acordes de acuerdo al tema. Un buen solo espacial de Pier Gonella, mezclándose junto a los sintetizadores!

   2 "Space of Variations"

La voz de Giorgia más relajada y melódica, con más aparición en esta pista! Con un sonido regular y armónico de guitarras y batería, sintetizadores con mayor acordes, Buenos riffs y una mejor síntesis entre melodía y voz, además de un solo más limpio!

​

   3 "Wine of Heaven" 

Una canción más lenta en contraste con la música y la voz!  Pausa hasta llegar a la voz de Giorgia, el coro se acomoda mejor a la canción. El estilo musical de los dos temas anteriores se sigue proponiendo en esta nueva canción, sumándose los aportes de una segunda voz masculina que acompañan y los solos.

   4 "Hot as Blood"

Mismo ritmo y velocidad que las canciones anteriores, mismo rango en voz he intensidad de la agradable voz de Giorgia, los tiempos y pausas para los solos son muy parecidos que en las otras canciones, buenos riffs y clásicos. Mastercastle apuesta por lo conocido y sale bien la canción!

    5 "Shine on Me"

Una canción más rítmica, pero en los acordes de las notas un poco altas la hermosa voz de Giorgia se agudiza bastante, aunque esto le da un estilo diferente a diferencia de las canciones anteriores buena melodía, pero en todo momento se percibe que no están amalgamadas las voces con el estilo que Mastercastle busca proponer.

​

    6 "Black Tree´s Heart"

La canción con una entrada más atmosférica y más limpia el cual podemos apreciar la voz de Giorgia acompañada de piano y posteriormente unas guitarras diferentes y contundentes dentro del estilo y acorde a la canción, con los solos que no deja de hacer presencia, la balada del álbum, y para mi uno de los mejores tanto en estructura musical como en la voz, la canción esta entre la sensibilidad y la oscuridad sin desentonar en tiempo y ritmo.

    7 "Enlightenment"

Excelente entrada más pesada y armoniosa! Tiene registros de metal clásico y un coro pegadizo que también colocan al tema dentro de los mejores del álbum. El solo de guitarra es más estructurado y más rítmico a diferencia de los anteriores, y a la vez corto pero bien hecho!

    8 "Castle in the Sky"

Sonido más lento y pretensioso, un instrumental en que Pier Gonella despliega todo. Los sintetizadores se combinan con una melodía de tintes épicos y en sonidos futuristas a partir de allí, para turnarse ambos registros dentro del álbum.

​

   9 "Making Love"

El álbum cierra con un cover de Yngwie Malmsteen, está bien hecha, pero el resultado es ambiguo y curioso, al escuchar este tipo de contrastes musicales aunque, Gonella hace bien su parte en la guitarra.

​

Mi Recomendación

​

Al escuchar Mastercastle tiene así como la suavidad y la tranquilidad, Esta vez es más fácil de apreciar la belleza de la voz agradable de Giorgia, para el trabajo de Gonella. Ella añade un nivel particularmente alto de emoción en Black Tree's Heart, una balada de poder y en Hot as Blood. Mastercastle ha hecho ajustes a su fórmula aquí, aunque al suavizar la voz de Giorgia Gueglio definitivamente hace que el álbum Wine of Heaven sea más agradable y apreciable que el álbum anterior. Lo que llama la atención es la producción soberbia y el sonido de la profesionalidad en la escena bastante notable.

+ Lo Bueno

​

 Es musicalmente continuo,  con un ritmo y velocidad lenta-constante, con canciones regulares y algunas pegadizas, con entradas suaves y posteriormente se van haciendo un poco más pesadas, no cambian el estilo de algunas canciones, pero apreciamos la voz de Giorgia y los sonidos mezclados en todo el álbum.

​

-Lo Malo

​

Es que algunas canciones, son semejantes en el estilo musical, en algunas la voz no se acopla un poco a los acordes.

​

Originalidad y Creatividad

​

Un álbum bueno y clásico! Con un estilo propio de la banda!

​

Técnica

Buen manejo de instrumentos en todo el álbum, los sintetizadores con mucha presencia al igual que los solos unos más largos que otros y acorde a la canción  mostrando y trasmitiendo lo que se interpreta.

​

Vocal

​

Tiene un registro muy suave, llegando hacer muy agudo en algunas notas que apreciamos y sobre sale en todas las canciones para que podamos apreciar el cuerpo de la canción con la voz, con buena tesitura y tiempo en escala acorde a la canción  con un agudo moderado-alto, la voz de Giorgia es muy agradable!
